Mayorkas Is Accused of Allowing an Invasion of the Homeland

Rep. Eli Crane questioned four border officials at the Mayorkas hearing and addressed Article IV of the Constitution – the invasion clause. Treason is Article III which includes aiding and abetting the enemy during war.  Could allowing an invasion be considered treason? Crane asked‚ “Are you guys familiar with Article Four of our Constitution often […] The post Mayorkas Is Accused of Allowing an Invasion of the Homeland appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

19 Years Ago‚ the Los Angeles Times Published a Column on Antisemitism on American Campuses

Antisemitism on American college campuses is not new. College presidents and professors didn’t begin tolerating or teaching antisemitism last Oct. 8. Students marching on behalf of the annihilation of the Jewish state‚ student activists tearing down posters of kidnapped Jewish children‚ locking Jewish students in a library at Cooper Union‚ and “70% of Jewish college students feeling forced to hide their Jewish identities” are the result of decades of anti-Israel‚ anti-Zionist‚ and anti-Jewish rhetoric. One example I recently came across is a column titled “When Young Jews Major in Antisemitism‚” published in 2005 in the Los Angeles Times. When I looked to see who wrote the column‚ I saw—to my surprise—that I did. I did not recall writing the piece. But it is very much worth reading today. “American Jewry is experiencing a cognitive dissonance the likes of which it has never known. To illustrate‚ consider my recent lecture in Virginia Beach‚ Va.: ‘Antisemitism at the Universities: What Can We Do About It?’ “It is very significant that a mainstream (i.e.‚ largely secular and liberal) Jewish organization (the Jewish Community Center) would fly a speaker from across the country to speak on anti-Semitism at universities… “Universities have become society’s primary breeding ground for hatred of Israel. This hatred is often so intense that the college campus has become a haven for people who use anti-Zionism to mask their anti-Semitism. Moreover‚ anti-Zionism itself is a form of antisemitism‚ even if some Jews share it. Why? Because anti-Zionism is not simply criticism of Israel‚ which is as legitimate as criticism of any country. “Anti-Zionism means that Israel as a Jewish state has no right to exist. And when a person argues that only one country in the world is unworthy of existence—and that happens to be the one Jewish country in the world—one is engaged in antisemitism‚ whether personally antisemitic or not. “Not long ago‚ on my radio show‚ I invited a UCLA student who‚ on the occasion of Israel’s birthday‚ had written a hate-filled article about the Jewish state in the Bruin‚ the school newspaper. I asked her if she had always been anti-Israel. She said that as a Jewish girl growing up in Britain‚ she was actually a Zionist who had visited Israel a number of times on Jewish student trips there. “‘What changed you?’ I asked. “‘The university‚’ she responded. “That sort of transformation may be what inspired Harvard University’s president‚ Lawrence Summers‚ to deliver a speech in which he identified the university as replacing the far right as a center of antisemitism. ‘Where antisemitism and views that are profoundly anti-Israeli have traditionally been the primary preserve of poorly educated right-wing populists‚’ he warned‚ ‘profoundly anti-Israel views are increasingly finding support in progressive intellectual communities. Serious and thoughtful people are advocating and taking actions that are anti-Semitic in their effect if not their intent.’ “The vast majority of pro-Israel Jews‚ secular and religious‚ liberal and conservative‚ know this. That explains the lecture topic I was asked to speak about in Virginia to a largely secular and liberal Jewish audience. “To make matters worse for many Jews’ psyches‚ not only has the institution they most revere turned out to be a moral wasteland and the most congenial place for enemies of the Jewish people—and of the United States (but that is another story)—at the same time‚ the people whom many Jews have most feared‚ conservative Christians‚ have turned out to be the Jews’ most loyal friends. That the secular university is bad for Jews‚ and conservative Christians are good for Jews‚ is more than enough cognitive dissonance for a Jew to experience in a lifetime.” Two reflections on what I wrote 19 years ago: First‚ neither I nor any description of the universities as “moral wastelands” would be printed in the Los Angeles Times today. The Los Angeles Times was liberal for at least 60 years—the last Republican presidential candidate the paper endorsed was Dwight Eisenhower in 1956—but it is now leftist. Its editorial and opinion pages went from liberal‚ which meant that I and other conservatives could often be published‚ to left-wing and woke boilerplate. The level of its editorials and columnists is as low intellectually as it is morally. One of these columnists actually wrote that Larry Elder‚ one of the most brilliant conservative minds in America today‚ is “the black face of white supremacy.” The fools who run the Los Angeles Times are consigning the paper to a fate similar to that of Sports Illustrated. “SI‚” as it was known to sports fans‚ was once the country’s most revered sports magazine. Then‚ like the L.A. Times‚ it went woke. Soon it will be no longer. Second‚ the deterioration of Harvard is also reflected in my column of 19 years ago. I quoted Harvard’s then-president‚ Lawrence Summers‚ who decried the Israel-hating‚ leading-to-antisemitism views of “progressive intellectual communities.” From Larry Summers to Claudine Gay‚ Harvard’s moral decline perfectly mirrors that of Sports Illustrated and the Los Angeles Times. Everything the Left touches‚ it destroys. COPYRIGHT 2024 CREATORS The Daily Signal publishes a variety of perspectives. Jet-Black Eggs Found In The Pacific Abyss Reveal A New Wormy World Record

We just love a mystery egg story‚ and an absolute cracker was dredged up from the deep this week as researchers announced the deepest free-living flatworms ever found following the discovery of some jet-black eggs. The egg capsules‚ or cocoons‚ were found in the Kuril-Kamchatka Trench‚ northwestern Pacific‚ and mark the first time we’ve achieved such a sneak peek into these worms’ early life stages in the abyssal zone. The eggs were discovered by Dr Yasunori Kano of the University of Tokyo who was piloting the remote-operate vehicle (ROV) Hakuho-maru and retrieved at a depth of 6‚200 meters (20‚341 feet). Unsure of what they were‚ he presented them to Dr Keiichi Kakui of Hokkaido University‚ who co-authored a new paper on the discovery.“When I first saw them‚ as I had never seen flatworm cocoons (and I didn't know what cocoons look like)‚ I thought they may be protists or something‚” explained Kakui to IFLScience.“Under a stereomicroscope‚ I cut one of them‚ and a milky liquid-like thing leaked from it; after blowing the milky thing with a pipette‚ I found fragile white bodies in the shell and first realized that it was the cocoon of platyhelminths. At that time‚ I didn't know how rare this finding was‚ and couldn't identify what platyhelminth group they were. I was looking forward to studying them after coming back to my lab.”And so‚ the eggy rocks were trawled up from the abyss and ferried to the Invertebrate Collection of the Hokkaido University Museum. The team managed to extract four intact egg capsules from the rocks‚ and found flatworm remains tucked inside. One worm was fixed in ethanol and dehydrated to make slides that the team could stain and analyze‚ while two other worms had their DNA extracted. The results revealed they were looking at the remains of flatworms from the suborder Maricola in the order Tricladida. This is a staggering find because that makes the eggs’ discovery a world record depth for free-living flatworms‚ and – curiously – reveals that there’s not much difference in the way deep-sea flatworms developed compared to those that lurk in the shallows.“This study provides the deepest record for free-living flatworms and the first information on their early life stages in the abyssal zone‚ which were very similar to those in shallow-water forms‚” wrote Kakui and co-author Aoi Tsuyuki. “This similarity in development between the relatively benign shallow-water and the extreme abyssal environments suggests that triclads adapting to the latter faced primarily physiological and/or ecological adaptive challenges‚ rather than developmental ones.”Some pretty big news for what looked like a few tapioca pearls‚ then‚ and there could be more to come!“Many other precious samples were collected during the cruise we found the cocoons‚" concluded Kakui. "I'm going to proceed with their research."The study is published in Biology Letters.

‘Does Razor Wire Work?’; Doocy‚ Kirby Spar Over WH Wanting TX Border Weakened

During Tuesday’s White House press briefing‚ the Fox News Channel’s Peter Doocy reupped his focus from Monday on the never-ending border crisis except‚ this time‚ he did battle with the National Security Council’s John Kirby who‚ to his credit‚ has a grasp of the English language. This time‚ the two threw down over a Supreme Court ruling Monday afternoon that will allow Customs and Border Patrol to cut razor wire in the Rio Grande that doubles as the U.S./Mexico border.  Doocy came out swinging with this reality for anyone who’s been to or seen footage from the southern border: “Why are you guys making it easier for people to enter the country illegally?”     Kirby scoffed and played dumb: “I don’t believe we are. Why do you think we are?” The Fox correspondent pointed to the reality that “you guys sued to cut razor wire that was put in place by Texas officials” and it was only then that Kirby dropped the act by saying the regime did it so “the Border Patrol‚ actually‚ do their jobs.” Having been invited by Kirby to “keep going‚” Doocy certainly did by asking if the White House thinks they “know better than the Border Patrol union‚” whose “president is saying the Supreme Court’s decision is going to undoubtedly encourage more illegal immigration.” Kirby insisted “[t]he Border Patrol needed access‚ and that’s why we sued to get rid of that razor wire‚ so that they could do their jobs” and‚ additionally‚ Republicans should comply with the White House funding requests for more Border Patrol agents (who‚ in reality‚ wouldn’t be used to secure the border‚ but process more illegals). Doocy zoomed back out with another simple question: “Does razor wire work?” “Does razor wire work for what? Does it work for the Border Patrol to allow them to have the access they need to be able to — to better process people that are trying to get across the border? I don’t think so‚ and that’s why we asked for it to be removed‚” he replied. Huffing aside‚ Doocy asked “what is the President’s plan” for the border seeing as how‚ “just weeks” ago‚ “300‚000 people came to this country‚ over the southern border illegally” and that was with “officials down there” saying the razor wire kept even more from crossing. Kirby insisted he wouldn’t “filibuster‚” but the opposite happened as he offered boilerplate excuses about Biden’s “day one” “immigration reform legislation”‚ talking to “Mexican official...about how‚ together‚ we have and we’ll continue to try to stem the flow of migrants‚” and how the torrent of people coming across isn’t just happening here‚ but other parts of the world. At the other end of the spectrum‚ The Independent’s Andrew Feinberg pushed Kirby from the left on the border‚ twice wondering why President Biden hasn’t “simply federalized the Texas [National] Guard and order them to cease and desist” from Governor Greg Abbott’s (R-TX) orders about setting up razor wire “rather than going to the courts and having to wait for the court process to play itself out” To his credit‚ Kirby largely ducked that request and argued while “[w]e...disagree from a policy perspective‚” “chain of command” is to be respected. Before Doocy‚ Anita Powell of the taxpayer-funded Voice of America lobbed this insane question bemoaning how U.S. munitions going to Israel and Ukraine have contributed to climate change (click “expand”): POWELL: Just a quick question about whether the castration includes environmental impact assessments in calculating how to support allies like Israel and Ukraine‚ Just for reference. We interviewed some environmental experts‚ who estimated that in the last 60 days U.S. supply flights to Israel contributed to 133‚000 metric tons of C02 emissions. It’s a lot‚ right? So‚ is that part of the calculation that you make? And how do you balance your desire to protect the environment with your desire to protect your allies? KIRBY: I know of no — and I’m happy to take this question. I know of no mathematical analysis that we’re conducting at an agency level to — to judge the impact of using jet fuel‚ for instance‚ to fly support to Ukraine or — or get it into the region for Israel again. I’ll take that question‚ but we’re focused — rightly so — on making sure that our two partners have what they need to defend themselves‚ and that’s really where the President’s head is. Speaking of softballs‚ CNN’s Arlette Saenz had two on the Biden economy to the ever-inept Karine Jean-Pierre (click “expand”): SAENZ: You started at the beginning talking about some of these positive economic indicators and how the mood of consumers is changing as you’re seeing some of these positive signs in the economy. But‚ so far‚ it really hasn’t changed in their perception of how President Biden has contributed to this and — and helps them. Are there discussions about different ways that you can try to communicate this message‚ given the fact that so far has it just sunk in with the American psyche that Biden should be getting credit in your belief? JEAN-PIERRE: I mean‚ look‚ we’re going to just continue to have the conversation. We’re going to continue to have the President talk speak directly to the American people. You saw him do that in many different ways in the past two weeks where he has been able to address Americans at their home‚ right — where he’s been able to go to a business...[D]ata still matters. The fact that consumer sentiment is high in a way that we hadn’t seen it in sometime‚ right? The numbers show...the economy is indeed stronger than it was since the President walked in to this administration. He’s been able to create more than 14 million jobs...We’re gonna continue to have those conversations with the American people...[H]e’s not going to stop and we’re going to make sure that the American people hear directly from him‚ as‚ you know‚ as often as we can. (....) SAENZ: And is the President frustrated that Americans are feeling better about the economy‚ but they’re not feeling better about his role in it? JEAN-PIERRE: I think what the President is proud to see is that the data is showing that consumer confidence is up‚ is that we’re able to see gas prices under three bucks in more than — two — in 27 states. That’s important. That’s what the president is happy to see. The President is — is — is happy to see that we’ve created more than 14 million jobs.  That’s what we’re going to continue to work on an economy. That is that — that — that — that makes sure that we build it from the bottom up middle out‚ and let’s not forget we’re going to continue to lower costs for the American people. And so as long as we do that‚ as long as we do our job‚ the President does his job‚ then that’s what matters. Fast-forward to the end and Hearst’s Kalyn Norwood wondered if the border is Biden’s “top priority” now seeing as how‚ “[i]mmigration is now the top issue for Americans over the economy over inflation... according to a new Harvard poll.” Jean–Pierre wouldn’t say‚ instead pointing to the fact that presidents have “to deal with multiple issues all at once.” To see the relevant transcript from the January 23 briefing‚ click here.

Rachel Maddow: Republicans Are 'Very Eager to Buy' Dictator Trump‚ End Elections

Leftists love to talk about how Biden is democracy and Trump is tyranny. But on Monday night‚ as Rachel Maddow mostly took the night off due to hoarseness‚ she came on with Jen Psaki during her time slot and claimed the Republican base is "very eager" for a dictator to end "contested elections."  In New Hampshire on Saturday‚ Trump praised Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orban as "a great leader‚ a very strong man‚" and MSNBC thinks this is pro-dictator talk. But Orban was re-elected prime minister for a fourth time in 2022. Liberal media outlets call communist tyrants "presidents" and this man is classified as a tyrant.  Psaki sucked up to Maddow:  “You’ve studied authoritarians quite a bit‚ you’ve talked about them quite a bit‚ you’ve educated all of us quite a bit on it. Is this really about winning votes in the New Hampshire primary?" Maddow answered: MADDOW: On the Viktor Orbán thing‚ listen‚ I think there is a very simple reason that Donald Trump is making that closing argument‚ in what may be the last contested primary. And it’s because that’s what he’s offering. I mean‚ this is the special sauce. Donald Trump is not leading the Republican field of candidates because of his youthful vigor [laughs] or because of his policy preferences or because of his eloquence. Right? None of that is going on. What he’s offering is what‚ both sort of  inherently offers and more and more explicitly offers. Which is: If you pick me‚ that’ll be the end of politics‚ and you won’t have to deal with politics anymore. You won’t have to deal with contested elections‚ you won’t have to deal with contests or divisions when it comes to power‚ you’ll have a strongman leader and I’ll just do what I want. And won’t that be a lot simpler? That’s what he’s offering. That strongman model is what the Republican base is enthused about. That is something that sets him apart from every other Republican candidate. I think we are naive to think he is tricking people into picking him and then surprise he’s gonna act like a dictator. What he is offering is strongman leadership‚ the end of politics‚ the end of elections‚ the sidelining or the domesticating‚ as Ruth Ben-Ghiat says‚ of the Judiciary and Congress. He will be the man in charge and he will get it done. That’s what he is selling‚ and that is what they are very eager to buy. Remember when Maddow breaks out the excuses that they couldn't air Trump live because "There is a cost to us‚ as a news organization‚ of knowingly broadcasting untrue things?"  Maddow thinks it's the truth to say all those dangerous conservatives and Republicans want to end democracy. Zero fear of fact-checkers!  PS: It got weirder when Psaki nudged Maddow into discussing just how tyrants denigrate government‚ and you can hear some of the current leftist arguments in that stew:  MADDOW: These messages have appeal There's ways that you can drive a populace toward them. You can denigrate the government. You can say government itself is the problem. [Sounds like Reagan's inauguration speech in 1981. He wasn't a dictator.] You can make it so that the legislative branch never works‚ and is seen as an object of ridicule‚ pity‚ and hostility rather than as one of our three branches of government. [Has she heard MSNBC on the Republican Congress‚ the ridicule Scarborough has for Jim Comer‚ worse than a pig?] You can challenge the rule of law and say that judges are all biased against people like you‚ and that the legal system doesn't work for people like us‚ and that we should denigrate to the courts and the law‚ and the legal system in a way that falls down along partisan or identitarian lines. [Black Lives Matter‚ "systemic racism" experts‚ critics of the Trump DOJ?] All of these things help. Flirting with these kinds of conspiracy theories that have them looking to mythical fantasies for solving their problems instead of actual government work. That helps. [Myths Maddow spun‚ like Trump colluding with the Russians to steal the 2016 election?]  Flirting with paramilitary violence‚ where you bring violence into the political sphere‚ and people are too intimidated‚ normal people are too intimidated to engage in normal political behavior. [FBI SWAT team raid at the pro-lifer Mark Houck's house?]  All of that helps‚ all of that sort of shunts a populace towards authoritarian messaging‚ as the only solution‚ as the only thing that will work.  PSAKI: That was dark‚ and real‚ honest‚ and authentic‚ just as you are about these issues!

Veteran NYPD detective sues review board that accused him of being ‘racist’ over incident involving black teen

A veteran New York Police Department detective recently filed a lawsuit against the city’s Civilian Complaint Review Board‚ claiming it defamed and slandered him‚ the New York Post reported.Detective Salvatore Rizzo sued the review board last week after he says it wrongly accused him of displaying a racial bias during a 2020 incident involving a black teenager. On September 27‚ 2020‚ Rizzo and other police officers noticed two individuals sleeping inside a car in a residential driveway. Rizzo pulled his gun when one of the occupants‚ a 17-year-old‚ woke up and abruptly appeared to reach for something in between the seat and the door‚ according to the CCRB complaint. Rizzo instructed the teen to show his hand after he “suddenly and unexpectedly” moved it “toward the floor of the car‚” according to the detective’s lawsuit. Rizzo claimed that he holstered his weapon “two or three seconds” after the teenager showed his hands. The two individuals sleeping inside the vehicle were issued a summons for having a small amount of marijuana. In April 2022‚ the CCRB began disciplinary proceedings against Rizzo‚ claiming that he wrongfully used force “without police necessity.” Rizzo chose to go to trial instead of taking a plea agreement that would have required him to forfeit 20 days of vacation pay. He was ultimately cleared of any wrongdoing. However‚ according to Rizzo‚ CCRB Chairwoman Arva Rice and prosecutor Nishat Tabassum continued to defame and slander him. In a July letter to NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban‚ which was posted online‚ Tabassum wrote‚ “[L]et’s be clear‚ if [the teen] were white‚ [Rizzo] would not have pointed his firearm at [the teen’s] chest.”“The only way his actions are justified is if you believe black skin is inherently dangerous‚” Tabassum added.NYPD Detectives' Endowment Association president Paul DiGiacomo told the Post‚ “You lie‚ you defame‚ you should pay.”“It’s about time CCRB lawyers and staff who lie pay the price‚” he continued. “Though CCRB personnel knew the facts of the case‚ and knew that the detective acted reasonably and lawfully based upon his training and NYPD regulations‚ the decision was consciously made to destroy a career and to maliciously accuse our Detective of being racist.”“Stop the CCRB and its personnel from filing meritless charges that often result in damaged careers‚ retirements‚ and stalled promotions‚” DiGiacomo added. ”End the rogue CCRB ability to destroy careers and to slander the decent hardworking men and women who are proud to carry the NYPD Detective gold shield.”Rizzo’s lawyer‚ James Moschella‚ stated that his client is concerned the CCRB’s actions will prevent him from working effectively as a field intelligence officer‚ the New York Daily News reported in December.“He feels very strongly about this‚” Moschella stated. “This has taken a real toll on his enthusiasm for the job and he feels his ability to do the job is hampered.”This lawsuit marks the first time a police officer cleared of misconduct has taken legal action against the review board. In a Tuesday statement‚ Jonathan Darche‚ executive director of the CCRB‚ told the Post‚ “This is not an overreach of the CCRB‚ this is an example of the NYPD failing to hold its officer to account for misconduct.”“Over-policing in black neighborhoods results in different treatment for people based on their zip code‚” Darche continued. “Two boys were asleep in their car parked in the driveway outside their home and 6 officers approached them for a so-called wellness check that resulted in an officer drawing his gun in seconds.”“This lawsuit is an attempt to undermine one of the only recourses civilians have to combat police officers’ abuse of power‚” he remarked. “The CCRB is exploring all its options to respond under Sections 70a and 76a of the New York State Civil Rights Law.”Like Blaze News? WATCH: Crowd goes silent after hearing Elon Musk give Ben Shapiro his warning

Tesla‚ SpaceX billionaire Elon Musk and conservative political commentator Ben Shapiro both attended the European Jewish Association conference‚ where they discussed the dangers of DEI practices and the future of college campuses. Dave Rubin plays a clip of their brutally honest conversation. “Some of these rallies on college campuses in favor of Hamas — I mean‚ they unite the weirdest coalitions‚ maybe‚ in human history‚” Shapiro began. “You'll see LGBTQ flags in favor of Hamas‚ where‚ of course‚ if an LGBTQ person were to be actually in the Gaza Strip‚ they would no longer be in the Gaza Strip — they would be dead.” “Exactly‚” Musk agreed. “That’s seriously out of touch.” “There is a coalitional idea here that‚ basically‚ power structures must be torn down at all costs‚ and if that means allying with people who hate me‚ then I'll ally with people who hate me‚” Shapiro continued‚ noting that this kind of paradoxical support has “grown in fervor since October 7.” “What do you make of the future of the West if the West continues to embrace that idea?” he asked Musk. “We really need to stop this principle that the normally weaker party is always right. ... If you are in 'oppressed or the weaker party‚' it doesn't mean you're right‚” Musk answered‚ adding that if “weaker groups want to annihilate you‚ that does not make them good.” “We have to get rid of the rule that if you're weaker‚ you're automatically good‚” he continued. “You judge any group or individual against absolute moral standards‚ not whether they're the so-called oppressed or oppressor.” A solid answer‚ but Shapiro had more questions. “What do you think the future of the universities in the United States looks like given the fact that entire universities appear to have been corrupted by moral relativism? ... Do you think that a wave of change is coming to the universities?... What is the solution for universities in the United States as well as abroad?” he pressed. “I think we need to return to what things were (or mostly were)‚ which is a focus on merit. And it doesn’t matter whether you’re a man or a woman‚ what race you are‚ what beliefs you have; what matters is how good are you at your job‚” Musk explained‚ adding that “that's the least racist [or] sexist you can be.” “You could be a three-legged‚ green Martian [who] wears a kimono and drinks yak’s milk. Who cares?...What matters is how good is your work; that's it‚” he analogized. Dave not only admires Musk’s answer but also how he — “as absolutely brilliant as he is” — explains “complex things in very simple ways.” “Just because you are the perceived weaker group (in this case the Palestinians)‚ it does not mean you are good‚ no matter what your perceived oppression is‚” he says‚ reiterating Musk’s comment. “You are not allowed to burn babies alive and put them into ovens; you are not allowed to rape women and murder men‚ women‚ and children ... that does not make you good or just‚ but unfortunately‚ that is what much of the modern left now believes.” To hear Musk and Shapiro’s conversation‚ watch the clip below. Homeowner reveals new‚ bizarre details in deaths of 3 KC Chiefs fans at his home‚ including presence of 5th person

As the investigation continues into the bizarre deaths of three Kansas City Chiefs fans after a game‚ the attorney for the homeowner revealed new information that only raises more questions. 37-year-old victim David Harrington‚ 38-year-old Ricky Johnson‚ and 36-year-old Clayton McGeeney were found dead in the backyard of a friend's home two days after they got together to watch their team play the Los Angeles Chargers on Jan. 7. Police say they are not yet investigating the matter as a homicide‚ pending the results of the medical examiner's report. Family members of the victims are angry that police haven't arrested any suspects. On Tuesday‚ an attorney for the owner of the home‚ Jordan Willis‚ spoke to WDAF-TV and revealed that that Willis had since moved from the home. John Picerno said also that there was a fifth person at the home on the day of the incident and claimed that Willis had gone to sleep and left the four men inside his home. This appears to contradict an earlier statement that said Willis had seen the three men leave his home before he went to bed. “When he would have people over at his house‚ yes sometimes as people‚ they get tired‚ they’re people that are very close to you and you feel comfortable going to bed and allowing them to leave when they want to leave‚” Picerno explained. He went on to say that Willis did not leave the home after Sunday‚ so he didn't notice his friends' cars were still outside the home. He did not hear anyone knocking and did not realize the fiancée of one of the men had broken into the home to look for them. “None of us know what happened to these individuals and I think the most important thing to remember here‚ these are his three buddies‚” Picerno added. Family members are upset that they haven't been told a story that makes sense of the deaths. “Just the thought of him dying and them him sitting outside in the cold for two days‚” said Caleb McGeeney‚ a cousin of one of the victims. “It’s extremely devastating. The whole family is messed up. He was such a good person.” Here's a local news report about the development: Like Blaze News?
