Elites bash Elon Musk over his liberation of Twitter on day one of the WEF's meeting of the minders

Plutocrats and technocrats flocked to Davos this week for the World Economic Forum's yearly meeting of the minders. While the resort town quickly filled up with people who frequently talk about changing the world‚ one individual who has made good on his threats was noticeably missing: South African billionaire Elon Musk. Musk suggested last month that he declined the invitation to go "not because [he] thought they were engaged in diabolical scheming‚ but because it sounded boring af lol." However‚ Yann Zopf‚ a spokesman for the WEF‚ suggested Musk hadn't been invited‚ telling the Associated Press the last time the Tesla CEO received an invite was "not this year and not recently — last time in 2015." Comfortable in their Swiss safe place and assured of Musk's absence‚ so-called elites wasted no time lashing out at the tech tycoon and his liberated social media platform. Naomi Oreskes‚ a Harvard professor who supposedly specializes in the history of climate change "disinformation‚" exhausted carbon complaining to Italian-Swiss physicist and university rector Luciana Vaccaro about Musk's X. "For a long time I was on Twitter and now it's become such a toxic place that I've concluded it's not a worthwhile place to spend time‚" said Oreskes. "I have given up on X. What a scary name that even is‚ right?" Musk later commented‚ "X is literally just a letter from the alphabet lmao." Independent journalist Rukshan Fernando noted that contrary to the Harvard professor's claim that she gave up on X‚ she "kept coming back." On Aug. 19‚ 2023‚ Oreskes wrote‚ "Hi all. I have decided‚ like many others‚ to leave twitter. It's sad to have to rebuild all that we have built here‚ but @elonmusk has already dismantled what was good about this network." Oreskes' self-imposed exile lasted all of a month. She returned on Sept. 27‚ then proceeded to post semi-regularly for several more weeks. Vaccaro agreed with Oreskes Monday‚ saying X is a "toxic environment. ... I have no solution on that‚ but I think one day it will come the moment of the code of conduct in this place because journalists — if you spread crazy news and insults and if a journalist writes these things‚ it can be amended." Vaccaro intimated that troublesome voices have "such big power" on social media because it's still relatively new but suggested "there will be a societal reflection on how information is brought there. Of course on X‚ now there is also the policy of the owner that is problematic‚ but I think this is a problem of the society of the future." Musk‚ who has helped to expose his platform's previous work with governmental forces to suppress speech‚ responded on X with a laughing emoji. — (@) It appears that Oreskes and Vaccaro's dislike for the free flow of information on X and elsewhere online is common to other academics‚ politicians‚ and bureaucrats associated with the WEF. Blaze News previously reported that the WEF ranked "misinformation and disinformation" and bad weather as the greatest threats facing humanity in its Global Risks Report 2024. The report defines misinformation and disinformation as "persistent false information (deliberate or otherwise) widely spread through media networks‚ shifting public opinion in a significant way towards distrust in facts and authority." Musk responded to the report last week‚ writing‚ "By 'misinformation'‚ WEF means anything that conflicts with its agenda." The billionaire's conflicts with this "agenda" appear to have made him a target. The European Union announced last month that it had launched an investigation into Musk's X for allegedly disseminating "illegal content and disinformation." Like Blaze News? Media‚ Dems struggle to cope with Donald Trump's landslide Iowa caucuses victory

Democrats and the media are downplaying the significance of Donald Trump's Iowa caucuses victory to cope with his political resurgence.Trump's historic landslide victory was unorthodox. He did not participate in any of the Republican debates held before the caucuses‚ and he publicly sparred with some of Iowa's biggest political influences‚ including Gov. Kim Reynolds (R). But that didn't matter. By winning more than 50% of support from caucus-goers — and nearly all of Iowa's 99 counties — Trump recorded the biggest margin of victory in the Iowa Republican caucuses. But Trump's opponents quickly tried to minimize the feat."Almost half of the base of the Republican Party showing up for this caucus tonight voted against Donald Trump‚" said Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) on MSNBC. "Think about that. This is the most famous Republican. He's the guy who‚ you know‚ basically built the modern Republican Party ... that the Democrats are running against‚ and half the people in that party didn’t vote for Donald Trump. So‚ I think that is telling. It tells you the weakness of Donald Trump‚ and also the opportunity for Democrats‚" he continued. — (@) MSNBC host Joe Scarborough made a similar argument on "Morning Joe" the morning after the caucuses. According to Scarborough‚ it is "bad news" for Republicans that Trump earned only 51% of caucus-goer's support."I want to look at this another way: If Barack Obama took four years off and then ran in a Democratic caucus in Iowa‚ would 50% of Democrats vote against Barack Obama? No. No‚ they wouldn't‚" Scarborough said‚ later adding‚ "Fifty percent of people voting in the Iowa caucuses against a former president is bad news for that party's prospects in the general election — not good news." This argument‚ however‚ is downright silly.Their argument suggests that because half of Iowa Republicans chose not to support Trump in their caucuses‚ those voters will support President Joe Biden in the general election. But there is no evidence to support this conclusion. Few‚ if any‚ Republican voters who oppose Trump will cast their vote for Biden. The majority of anti-Trump Republicans‚ instead‚ are likely to vote third-party‚ write in a candidate‚ or vote against Biden — by voting for Trump. Like Blaze News? Jewish students sue Harvard for 'refund' for its alleged 'abject failure' to fight anti-Semitism on campus

Jewish students sue Harvard for 'refund' for its alleged 'abject failure' to fight anti-Semitism on campus

A handful of Jewish students at Harvard have filed a lawsuit against their school after "rampant antisemitism" seemed to take over the campus in the wake of Hamas' attack on Israel on October 7.Last week‚ six students‚ including a group called Students Against Antisemitism and a Harvard Divinity School student identified as Alexander Kestenbaum‚ filed the lawsuit in a U.S. district court in Boston‚ alleging that‚ while anti-Jewish bigotry has always been a problem at Harvard‚ the school has recently become "a bastion of rampant antiJewish hatred and harassment."The lawsuit claimed that the Oct. 7 attack "emboldened" students‚ faculty‚ and administrators to participate in egregious acts of anti-Semitism‚ including harassing students wearing notably Jewish apparel in the student lounge and providing "burritos and candy" to a mob of pro-Palestinian students who seized control of University Hall in November.Such instances of anti-Jewish bias reveal a shocking "double standard" about the enforcement of Harvard's code of conduct‚ the lawsuit claimed. "Harvard permits students and faculty to advocate‚ without consequence‚ the murder of Jews and the destruction of Israel‚ the only Jewish country in the world‚" it said. "Meanwhile‚ Harvard requires students to take a training class that warns that they will be disciplined if they engage in sizeism‚ fatphobia‚ racism‚ transphobia‚ or other disfavored behavior."Kestenbaum‚ who goes by the name Shabbos‚ sat down for an interview with the Daily Mail and claimed that the Harvard campus has become so hostile to Jewish students that his parents do not want him to return. "I would not be surprised in the slightest if there would be an attack on Jewish students" sometime during the spring semester‚ he said. The worst part is‚ he added‚ "Harvard just hasn't done anything to address these concerns." The lawsuit even claimed that Harvard has been an "abject failure" in enforcing rules against anti-Semitism.Kestenbaum insisted that he didn't initially intend to sue the school and only filed the suit as a "last resort." "We tried to do and go through every other channel‚ but we were turned down time and time again. And we just didn't know what else to do."The lawsuit demands disciplinary action against any students‚ professors‚ and administrators who have engaged in "antisemitic discrimination and abuse‚ whether because they engage in it or permit it." Mark Ressler‚ an attorney with Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP‚ which is representing the plaintiffs‚ claimed that the anti-Semitic issues at Harvard extend beyond just members of the immediate Harvard community. He indicated that sizeable donations — perhaps from foreign countries — have been made to the school on the condition that faculty espouse a decidedly anti-Jewish or anti-Israel stance."The concern is that foreign countries are donating large amounts of money with strings attached‚" Ressler said in a separate interview with the Daily Mail.Ressler said that during discovery from the lawsuit‚ he and others on his legal team hope to comb through various intra-office communications between Harvard officials — including former President Claudine Gay‚ who recently resigned after she was accused of ignoring anti-Semitism on campus‚ among other scandals — to see whether such donations have ever been made. Their goal is to ensure that "Harvard does not accept any donation from any foreign country that is conditional upon a professor spewing anti-Semitic venom in class or on campus‚" he said.In addition to a better understanding of the motives behind school donations‚ the plaintiffs are seeking tuition reimbursement from Harvard‚ arguing that the school has failed to keep up its end of the bargain regarding student safety. "Whatever the cost of tuition is for a year at Harvard Law School‚ ... that should be refunded because Harvard has breached the contract it enters into with students‚" Ressler claimed.Blaze News reached out to the office of interim President Alan Garber regarding the lawsuit but did not immediately receive a response. The school has already declined to provide a comment to Reuters.Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!

Teacher of the Year says he was reassigned for 3 months after 'too harshly' stopping 2 male students from attacking female

Kumar Rashad — who was named the Kentucky Department of Education's Teacher of the Year in September — told WDRB-TV that in October he was reassigned for three months after "too harshly" stopping two male students from attacking a female student. What are the details?A math teacher in Louisville's Breckinridge Metropolitan High School‚ Rashad told the station after the incident officials reassigned him to "non-instructional duties" at the Special Needs East Bus Compound.WDRB said Jefferson County Public Schools wouldn't say why Rashad was reassigned — but he gave his side of the story Thursday‚ one day before he began resuming his teaching duties."I saw two males attack a female‚ and I went to the female's rescue‚ and I removed the two students off of that female‚" Rashad told the station. "The two students said I removed them too harshly."Rashad noted to WLKY-TV that the two male students complained about him to the powers that be.He was not about to apologize‚ however‚ telling WLKY: "Please understand‚ in the community‚ in school‚ anywhere I am going‚ I will never allow a lady to be attacked by a male."Rashad noted to WDRB that what happened to him "shines a light on problems in the district" — one of them being that "many educators" are "reassigned for frivolous reasons."Rashad added to WDRB that the investigation is over‚ and he was cleared to return Friday to the classroom — which the school district confirmed. He also noted to WDRB that investigations must be completed more swiftly.WDRB added that Rashad also briefly served as a Louisville Metro Council member‚ representing District 3. WATCH: Former Vivek supporter compiles footage suggesting Ramaswamy copied Obama’s speeches

As election day moves closer‚ tension continues to escalate between candidates and their supporters. Dave Rubin plays a video that was compiled by a former Vivek Ramaswamy supporter (current Trump advocate) that shows a series of uncanny similarities between the candidate’s speeches and those of former President Barack Obama. The compilation includes the following comparisons: Obama Ramaswamy “This has never been a Democratic or Republican idea. This is an American idea.” “These are not Democratic ideas or Republican ideas. These are fundamentally American ideals.” “Imagine they were driving a car‚ and they drove it into the ditch. You can’t have the keys back! “If somebody has repeatedly crashed your car‚ do you wanna turn over your keys to the same people who crashed it? “The Cold War has been over for 20 years.” “I have a news flash – the USSR does not exist anymore. It fell back in 1990.” “Who the heck is this skinny guy with a funny name?” “Who the heck is this skinny guy with a funny last name?” “They sense deep in their bones ... e pluribus unum – from out of many‚ one.” “I believe deep in my bones e pluribus unum – from out of many‚ one." “We are one people.” “I have a dream that we can be one people again.” Watch the video yourself and decide whether Vivek garnered too much inspiration from Obama or whether he’s merely guilty of using too many platitudes. Pope Francis’ ‘new direction’ attacks the sanctity of family and life

Pope Francis’ ‘new direction’ attacks the sanctity of family and life

For centuries‚ the Roman Catholic Church has been a beacon leading its faithful toward a path of righteousness and repentance and a church that reveres its leader as the embodiment of holiness. Pope Francis’ most recent actions‚ however‚ point toward his desire to move the church closer to man than to God. As a devout Catholic‚ I wish that weren't the case‚ but sadly‚ it is. A “rubber-stamped” synod reveals the pope’s true intentions. He wants more voices determining the church’s future. (There should be just one voice: God’s.) Under the guise of “inclusion‚” the pontiff has pushed a not-so-secret agenda to establish a new doctrine that moves the church away from the traditional family‚ away from valuing life‚ and away from God. Tearing down morality in the name of “progress” has helped to raise up the woke‚ the entitled‚ the hateful‚ and the divisive. The pope isn’t helping matters. The Vatican’s recent announcement that it would let priests bless what the church has long called “unnatural unions” is a shift from just two years ago when it defined any form of blessing such unions as “illicit.” I submit that all people are created by God and worthy of His love‚ but the issue here is the pope’s bent-knee approach to social issues‚ where he bows to the minority and fosters divisiveness by favoring one group over another. There’s a divide within the faith — and the pope has taken to picking and choosing who receives his blessings from a woke-approved list of “marginalized” groups. By choosing who to bless‚ Pope Francis creates a hierarchy of value dependent on which group a person falls in — one group of people is more blessed‚ important‚ or valued than the other. I’m sorry‚ but every person is a gift from God. We are all blessed‚ and every life is valuable. The whole thing reeks of George Orwell’s “Animal Farm”: “All animals are equal‚ but some animals are more equal than others.” The leader of the church should be leading people to God. Instead‚ through his policies‚ the pope is leading us away from God toward conformity to man. He’s essentially saying it’s OK to hate people in certain groups — those outside the ones he’s “blessed.” Pope Francis‚ by his example‚ is picking and choosing who to bless and who to hate. As fallible human beings‚ we tend to elevate and bless people with whom we agree. When we apply the word “blessed” to others with whom we disagree‚ however‚ only then does it become a problem. For example‚ in 2020‚ I used the word “blessed” at a Rose Garden event to describe our country under President Trump. The Holy Spirit put that word on my lips when I said‚ “We are truly blessed to have a leader‚ like President Trump‚ who is a builder …” I was attacked viciously for that‚ all because I used “blessed” and “Donald Trump” in the same sentence. That’s division caused by a hierarchy of human value. The pope’s credibility is also seriously put into question when he calls Joe Biden a “good Catholic” and rolls out the Vatican red carpet for him even though Biden has a history of supporting the right to terminate life. Conversely‚ when President Trump visited the Vatican‚ he was received coldly. Yet Trump has a history of valuing life. The Catholic Church has survived scandals brought on by the abhorrent behavior of the pedophiles within its walls‚ scandals that continue to plague the church. Yet Pope Francis‚ rather than use that as an impetus to return the church to its roots‚ is instead employing Catholics to engage in a new theology‚ a new direction that doesn’t necessarily need to correspond to the Christian face of God. Last year‚ Pope Francis called upon the church to adapt its theology to the changing times‚ to “the conditions in which men and women live daily in different geographical‚ social‚ and cultural environments.” It’s what some have called the church’s “new direction.” Because people are changing‚ the pope says the church should change with them. In other words‚ the church should conform itself to the people. This is decidedly anti-Catholic. It should be the other way around. God‘s righteousness doesn’t change. The foundations of faith don’t change. Christ’s death and resurrection didn’t change. And God’s standard for what constitutes righteous behavior hasn’t changed. We‚ as representatives of the Church‚ are now supposed to say‚ “Your behavior might be sinful‚ but the times have changed‚ so we’re good?” I disagree. God’s truth never changes regardless of what man does. As it appears to me‚ the Catholic Church is heading away from God. Ironically‚ I find former President Trump to be more of a spiritual leader than Pope Francis is today. Trump‘s leadership as president regarding spiritual matters certainly was more on point. Trump was the first sitting president in history to address the annual March for Life. He formed the Conscience and Religious Freedom Division within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services‚ which protected religious freedom and kept taxpayer money from being used to discriminate against religion. Trump was the first president to meet with the United Nations to call for an end to religious persecution. He signed an executive order to promote free speech and religious liberty during the National Day of Prayer. Perhaps most importantly‚ he appointed Supreme Court justices who value life. Most of these actions would be counter to Pope Francis’ “new direction.” Trump‚ who was called “blessed“ by the Holy Spirit that day in the Rose Garden in 2020‚ is much more spiritual than people give him credit for‚ and he sees what I see — that America has fallen victim to a sort of insane moral anarchy. Tearing down morality in the name of “progress” has helped to raise up the woke‚ the entitled‚ the hateful‚ and the divisive. The pope isn’t helping matters. Holiness is absolute. It is also healing and unifying. Now‚ more than ever‚ we have two distinct choices: love‚ build‚ and unite‚ or hate‚ divide‚ and destroy. We must love our neighbor as we love ourselves. The Catholic Church and my faith are the center of my life‚ so I pray Pope Francis ends his focus on selfish individualism and instead focuses on holiness and salvation‚ for that will ultimately lead us back to God.
