ICE captures violent illegal alien accused of raping a Virginia minor and producing child pornography

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced Monday that it captured a 21-year-old illegal alien from Honduras charged with raping a Virginia minor and producing child pornography. While U.S. Border Patrol initially caught him in January 2020‚ he was released into a children's facility in New York‚ then later set loose on Virginia. It appears that in the meantime‚ at least one life was destroyed. Deportation officers from the ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Washington‚ D.C.‚ team caught up with the criminal noncitizen on Dec. 4 in Springfield‚ Virginia. During the arrest‚ the alleged pedophile viciously attacked a deportation officer. Despite having an accused pedophile prowling its streets for months‚ Deputy Field Office Director Erik Weiss indicated that "Fairfax County refused to honor the ICE detainer lodged against this Honduran noncitizen." Fairfax County boasts on its website that it "does not and will not enforce civil federal immigration laws." The county also provides guidance to foreign nationals hoping to continue flouting the laws of the land‚ including tips on what to do if "immigration or the police come to your door." "When ICE detainers are ignored by local authorities‚ the public is put at risk; unfortunately‚ this time the result was the unnecessary injury of a federal law enforcement officer while prosecuting the arrest of a noncitizen charged with sexually abusing a Virginia minor and producing child sexual abuse material‚" Weiss added. ICE noted that the alleged child rapist had stolen into the country on an unknown date "without being inspected‚ admitted or paroled by an immigration official." While he was off the radar like millions of other gotaways‚ USBP managed to nab him in January 2020 near Clint‚ Texas. Although a military-age foreign national‚ the alleged rapist was treated by border officials as an unaccompanied juvenile. He was provided with a notice to appear before a Biden Department of Justice immigration judge and charged with being in the U.S. without admission or parole. After receiving his notice and charges‚ the alleged child rapist was set loose in Kingston‚ New York‚ under the supposed custody of the Office of Refugee and Resettlement — at the Children's Home of Kingston. One month later‚ USBP released him into the custody of his supposed father in Alexandria‚ Virginia. In July 2023‚ the alleged child rapist was arrested and charged with carnal knowledge of a child between the ages of 13 an 14 without force‚ possession of child porn‚ and producing child sexual abuse material. ICE noted that its Pacific Enforcement Response Center lodged an immigration detainer against the alleged pedophile with the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on the day of his arrest. However‚ the detention center "did not honor the immigration detainer and released the Honduran noncitizen from custody without notifying ERO Washington‚ D.C." Without the help of Fairfax County‚ ERO Washington's Mobile Criminal Apprehensions Team raided the alleged child rapist's residence on Jan. 4‚ according to ICE. During the arrest‚ the illegal alien reportedly punched an officer. Extra to the child rape and child pornography charges‚ it appears the illegal alien will also be prosecuted for the assault. This suspect's story is eerily similar to that of another Honduran rapist who recently got picked up by ICE. In October‚ ICE revealed it had arrested a Honduran in Herndon‚ Virginia‚ who had been charged with felony rape by force‚ threat‚ or intimidation; abduction by force; and assault on a family member. USBP initially arrested him near Roma‚ Texas‚ in June 2021‚ and issued him a notice to appear before an immigration judge. The antagonist in this second case was arrested by the Herndon Police Department in Virginia on July 20‚ 2023‚ and charged for rape and other crimes. Again‚ ERO Washington‚ D.C.‚ issued an immigration detainer‚ and again the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center cut the foreign rape suspect loose. Finally‚ on Oct. 12‚ ERO officers caught up with him‚ then kept him under lock and key. On Oct. 30‚ ICE was able to send another alleged rapist from Honduras back to his home country before he could reoffend on American soil. Wilian Emilson Castro Bustillo‚ 34‚ illegally entered the country near Eagle Pass‚ Texas‚ on June 11. ERO San Antonio took custody of him days later and learned he was wanted for aggravated sexual assault. An immigration judge ordered his removal from the U.S. on Sept. 1. Blaze News previously reported that only a small percentage of illegal aliens were deported last year — roughly 4.4% of the over 2 million migrants encountered at the border. Of the deportees‚ 49% had criminal histories with an average of 3.8 convictions per criminal. 3‚809 of the criminal convictions catalogued were for rape; 1‚457 were for homicide; 1‚450 were for kidnappings; 26‚714 were for assault; and 2‚760 were for robbery. Vivek Ramaswamy calls for the elimination of the FBI‚ but Trump is singing a much different tune

Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy is no stranger to making waves. Ramaswamy’s controversial views on January 6 and vaccines have earned him praise from Americans who feel that government overreach is out of control — and ridicule from those who don’t mind being so heavily controlled. Now‚ he’s going after the FBI. “The FBI has been rotten since its inception‚ and it was designed to actually be rotten to its core‚” he tells Dave Smith on the "Part of the Problem" podcast. “So what you see today isn’t any surprise‚ it isn’t a deviation from the purpose of the institution‚ it’s actually an instantiation of the purpose of the institution‚” he continues‚ adding that it cannot be reformed. “You have to shut it down. I don’t think we need an FBI. I think we patently need to not have an FBI‚” he adds. “I’m going to make Javier Milei‚ I believe‚ look like a moderate.” "He's got guts. He really does‚" admits Pat Gray. However‚ former president Donald Trump is singing a different tune. “The FBI headquarters should not be moved to a far away location‚ but should stay right where it is‚ in a new and spectacular building‚ in the best location in our now crime ridden and filthy dirty‚ graffiti scarred‚ Capital‚” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “They should be involved in bringing back D.C.‚ not running away from it‚ especially the violent crime.” “The FBI should not be fleeing for safer‚ yet much less convenient‚ environs. It should make where they are now the safest place on earth! DON’T MOVE THE FBI‚” Trump finished. Biden admin investigates Rumble: 'Playbook to try and destroy' free speech platform‚ CEO warns

The Biden administration's Securities and Exchange Commission recently confirmed to Wired that it is investigating free speech video platform Rumble.According to the Monday report‚ Wired filed a public records request in November seeking documents related to Rumble but was denied by the SEC due to the in-progress investigation. While the agency did not provide any information regarding the nature of the probe‚ it stated that the existence of the investigation was not an indication that Rumble had done anything illegal. The SEC's assistant general counsel for litigation and administrative practice‚ Melinda Hardy‚ told Wired‚ "We have confirmed with Division of Enforcement staff that the investigation from which you seek records is still active and ongoing."Turning over the requested document to the news outlet "could be reasonably expected to cause harm to the ongoing and active enforcement proceedings because‚ among other things‚ individuals and entities of interest in the underlying investigation could fabricate evidence‚ influence witness testimony and/or destroy or alter certain documents‚" Hardy explained. In a statement to Wired‚ Rumble spokesperson Rory Rumore stated that the SEC requested documents from the company‚ which it turned over voluntarily. "We caution anyone from jumping to false conclusions about matters related to Rumble‚" the company said.In a post on X‚ Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski claimed that the SEC launched the investigation following a false report from a "short seller.""The playbook to try and destroy $RUM [Rumble]‚" Pavlovski wrote. "A short seller creates a bogus report and sends it to the SEC. The SEC investigates the bogus report. Then the short seller talks to the media to get a story about how the SEC is investigating the report that started with him. The media happily writes the story.""The report is bogus‚ but that doesn't matter — it's all to get investors to sell the stock so the short seller profits‚" he continued. "Good news‚ it won't work. We saw the attacks coming‚ and we prepared for them. Prior to going public‚ we chose to use Google Analytics to track and report our [monthly active users]‚ so we could be ready for this very moment."Pavlovski added‚ "This is just the start‚ they're coming for us in 2024. They can't stand Rumble's mission‚ but they are going to learn quickly how hard we punch back." Pavlovski noted that he is exploring the company's legal options.According to Wired‚ investment research firm Culper Research released a report questioning Rumble's reported monthly active users."Combined‚ the web and app data suggest to us that Rumble has only 38 to 48 million unique users‚ and the Company has overstated its user base by 66% to 108%‚" Culper Research's report claimed. The firm noted that it had taken a short position in the company and stood to profit if its stocks dropped.Rumore denied claims that Rumble inflated the number of active monthly users and warned investors to be "especially dubious of rumors peddled by short sellers who are attempting to distort facts for their own financial benefit." New York City boots students from their classrooms to house migrants‚ forcing students to undergo more 'remote learning'

New York City boots students from their classrooms to house migrants‚ forcing students to undergo more 'remote learning'

An open border and a closed school building. That's the reality playing out for the roughly 3‚800 students who attend James Madison High School in Brooklyn. On Wednesday‚ those students are "attending" classes remotely because city officials booted them from their actual classrooms to house migrants. On Tuesday‚ city officials announced that nearly 2‚000 migrants being housed in tents at historic Floyd Bennett Field would be temporarily relocated to James Madison High School ahead of a powerful winter storm that brought heavy rain and high winds to New York City. City Hall said in a statement:The health and safety of migrants in our care is always a top priority‚ which is why we are currently overseeing the relocation of 1‚900 guests from the humanitarian emergency response and relief center at Floyd Bennett Field due to an updated forecast with increased wind speeds estimated to be at over 70 MPH tonight. To be clear‚ this relocation is a proactive measure being taken out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals working and living at the center. The migrants were officially relocated Tuesday evening when after-school activities had concluded. — (@) While moving the migrants was a necessary decision for their protection‚ parents are upset that local officials chose to disrupt the learning environment rather than find a more suitable solution to the problem. Indeed‚ Councilwoman Inna Vernikov (R) said the need to move the migrants was "entirely foreseeable.""This is both unacceptable and was entirely foreseeable‚ as Floyd Bennett Field is vulnerable to all forms of increment [sic] weather conditions and is not a sustainable housing facility‚" Vernikov said in a statement. "As an elected official representing this community‚ I demand a full stop to using our public schools as a shelter ever again."Councilwoman Joann Ariola (R) agreed."I warned the administration that something like this would happen from day one and they refused to listen‚" she told the New York Post. "Floyd Bennett Field is entirely unsuitable for a tent complex‚ and how we are wasting taxpayer dollars to evacuate nearly 2‚000 people.""This did not take a fortune teller to predict‚" she said. "It was common sense."The migrants returned to their temporary tent shelter at Floyd Bennett Field early Wednesday morning‚ according to the New York Daily News. That means students should return to their classrooms on Thursday. Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!

Man survives 6 days trapped in car wreck by drinking drainpipe water underneath I-94 bridge

A man was trapped for nearly a week in car wreckage underneath the I-94 interstate freeway until pedestrians walked by and saw the dismantled vehicle.Matt Reum of Indiana appeared to have driven off I-94‚ missed the guardrail‚ and flew through the air in his pickup truck until crashing into a creek beneath the bridge‚ CNN reported. From there‚ Reum was trapped for six days pinned to his driver seat‚ unable to move his legs. The 27-year-old survived by filtering water — presumed to be dirty — through his shirt after it dripped down from a drainpipe."There was a drainpipe right above him‚ so there was rainwater coming down when it rained‚ and he would use his shirt to filter it while he drank it‚” Zachary Swets from Portage Fire Department told a CNN affiliate.Reum also used "an air bag that had deployed" as a blanket whenever he got cold.It took nearly a week before two men‚ Mario Garcia and Nivardo Delatorre‚ came across Reum while out for a walk on their way to a local Bass Pro Shop. "I can't really‚ I don't know about the address‚ but there's a car that's been here since Wednesday‚ and there's a person inside of it. He's still alive‚ too‚" one of the men said on a 911 call. "They're on their way‚ buddy. They're on the way‚" the man was heard telling Reum‚ who was still trapped.Fire department officials said that upon their arrival Reum gave them his journal that he had been writing in during the days he was trapped."He was smiling‚ laughing‚ making jokes‚" another fireman said.A GoFundMe started by Reum's friend Haley Traxler detailed some of his injuries‚ which may require amputation."His legs were stuck and he was unable to move due to that he is looking at an amputation more than likely‚" the page read. "He has several broken bones throughout his body. He is alive and that’s what we care about most through this hard time he needs all the love and support he can get."Traxler described Reum as a "kind hearted human‚" and noted that he works for a field construction and metal fabrication union in Hobart‚ Indiana. At the time of this publication the fundraiser had raised approximately $101‚000.Like Blaze News? Promising dwarven roguelike indie game readies four big updates

A lot of fantastic roguelikes hit Steam throughout the past twelve months‚ but Below the Stone charmed me perhaps the most among them all. Mixing the top-down cave exploration of Crypt of the Necrodancer with the spirit of Spelunky and the rambunctious dwarven spirit that makes Deep Rock Galactic such a joy‚ this Steam Early Access indie game has my full attention‚ and I can’t wait to see what gems developer Strollart digs up over the coming months. Minecraft Legends is officially dead‚ but new games may replace it

Minecraft Legends has sadly met its end it seems as Mojang now reveals that its spin-off strategy game is no longer receiving any new updates. It feels like Legends only just launched with its recent 2023 release‚ subsequent DLC drops‚ and patches. Despite its young age and "various tweaks" though‚ the unique genre mashup has reached its end‚ possibly making way for new beginnings as other games set in the iconic blocky green Minecraft universe may come. Lenovo Legion Go review

The Lenovo Legion Go is the latest would-be premium alternative to the Steam Deck‚ following in the footsteps of the Asus ROG Ally. It delivers high levels of performance for a handheld‚ and has a few innovative tricks up its sleeve to help push the world of handheld PCs forward. Its aspirations are clear but its execution isn’t entirely flawless‚ creating a cavalcade of what should have been avoidable annoyances and fiddliness in an otherwise compelling device. I’ve been using the Legion Go for the past month now‚ primarily for gaming but also as a laptop replacement of sorts. While my first impressions of the device weren’t particularly positive‚ the majority of my time with it has been an enjoyable if a touch bumpy ride. What Lenovo has cooked up here has the makings of a device that could take the best handheld gaming PC crown‚ but it’s not quite there just yet.
