Crazy Maker Kamala Campaigns on Not Making America Great

Kamala Harris celebrated the third anniversary of the Jan. 6‚ 2021‚ Capitol protests with a speech in South Carolina condemning the Republican Party‚ gaslighting Americans. “Three years ago today‚ on Jan. 6‚ 2021‚ when a mob violently attacked the United States Capitol‚ they used brutal force and fear to try to overturn the results of a free […] The post Crazy Maker Kamala Campaigns on Not Making America Great appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

Toronto Police Help Radicals Block a Jewish Community

A viral X video shows Toronto police delivering coffee to pro-Hamas protesters blocking a Jewish community on the Sabbath. The person who received the coffee said the police didn’t actually send the coffee‚ meaning they didn’t pay for it. They just delivered it. “But police won’t let them in‚ so the police is now becoming […] The post Toronto Police Help Radicals Block a Jewish Community appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

Elise Stefanik: Harvard President Claudine Gay’s Resignation ‘Was Long Overdue’

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) said during an interview over the weekend that Harvard President Claudine Gay’s resignation from her position was “long overdue” following her testimony before Congress about anti-Semitism on her school’s campus. Stefanik made the remarks during a Sunday interview on NBC News’ “Meet The Press” with Kristen Welker while talking about Gay’s ouster following controversial remarks that she made during her testimony and the subsequent plagiarism allegations that she faced. “It was long overdue. She should have resigned immediately following the hearing‚” Stefanik said. “And‚ of course‚ this follows the resignation of Liz Magill‚ the Penn president‚ who also answered‚ almost verbatim‚ the same way that the Harvard former president did‚ as well. And so did the MIT president‚ I might add. And I’ve called for all three of their resignations. It’s not just me who called for the resignations. We passed a vote‚ bipartisan‚ who called for the resignation on the floor of Congress.” Welker asked Stefanik to respond to Gay’s assertion that her ouster was part of a broader campaign “to unravel public faith in pillars of American society.” Stefanik responded: “Well‚ I would respond that she failed to stand up for Jewish students on campus who have been facing antisemitic attacks‚ who have been facing physical assault. We’ve seen that footage. We’ve heard that directly from students on campus. We’ve also heard faculty concerns about her tenure‚ and her position‚ and her lack of academic integrity. But it really goes back to protecting Jewish students. And‚ frankly‚ when it comes to Harvard‚ the only time that Harvard has pled for academic freedom or freedom of speech was when it comes to the genocide of the Jewish people. That is inherently unfit for a person to be president of a university. It is part of a broader issue at these schools‚ which is why our investigation is so important. We’re going to look at DEI‚ which inherently has refused to bring up concerns from Jewish students of the rise of antisemitic attacks. We’re going to look at foreign funding as well as taxpayer funding and the governance of these universities. You saw that these boards doubled down to support these university professors despite the morally bankrupt testimony.” WATCH:

Jodie Foster Roasts Gen-Z Over ‘Really Annoying’ Workplace Habits

Jodie Foster Roasts Gen-Z Over ‘Really Annoying’ Workplace Habits

Veteran actress Jodie Foster made it clear that she is not impressed with the work ethic of members of “Gen Z‚” complaining during a recent interview that they would show up late if they weren’t “feeling it” and did not make an effort to sound professional in email correspondence. The two-time Oscar-winner (for 1989’s “The Accused” and 1991’s “The Silence of the Lambs”) spoke to The Guardian about her upcoming projects‚ and the topic turned to her experience thus far working with younger generations. Foster was just 15 when she received her first Academy Award nomination (for the 1977 film “Taxi Driver”)‚ and she told the outlet that her own experiences growing up both in the public eye and in a tough business like the film industry was part of the reason she chose so often to reach out to younger actors and actresses. “Well‚ I’m pretty fun. I mean – I don’t take anything seriously. I make jokes all the time‚” she said. “They need to learn how to relax‚ how to not think about it so much‚ how to come up with something that’s theirs. I can help them find that‚ which is so much more fun than being‚ with all the pressure behind it‚ the protagonist of the story‚” Foster added. “I do a lot of reaching out to young actresses. I’m compelled. Because it was hard growing up.” But she also noted that she occasionally found herself irritated by some of the workplace habits she saw in the younger generations. “They’re really annoying‚ especially in the workplace‚” she said of Gen Z in particular. “They’re like‚ ‘Nah‚ I’m not feeling it today‚ I’m gonna come in at 10.30am.’ Or‚ like‚ in emails‚ I’ll tell them this is all grammatically incorrect‚ did you not check your spelling? And they’re like‚ ‘Why would I do that‚ isn’t that kind of limiting?'”

Israeli President Isaac Herzog: Forced Displacement Of Palestinians From Gaza ‘Is Not The Israeli Position’

Israeli President Isaac Herzog: Forced Displacement Of Palestinians From Gaza ‘Is Not The Israeli Position’

Israeli President Isaac Herzog said during an interview over the weekend that despite some remarks from various Israeli officials‚ Israel does not want to forcibly displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. The remarks from Herzog came during an interview on Sunday with Kristen Welker on NBC News’ “Meet The Press” while discussing Israel’s ongoing operations to hunt down the Palestinian terrorists responsible for massacring 1‚200 Israelis on October 7. Welker asked Herzog if “forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza” was the official position of the Israeli government. “Absolutely not‚” he responded. “Totally not agreed or is not the position of the Israeli government‚ or the Israeli parliament‚ or the Israeli public. But we are a democracy‚ and in democracy‚ you have a variety of ideas. And in a variety of ideas‚ and in a society – society where free speech is the basis of our national DNA‚ people can say whatever they want. So‚ in a Cabinet of 30 ministers where it’s not the security Cabinet‚ a minister can say whatever he wants. I may not like it‚ but this is Israeli politics. And‚ by the way‚ you have in America people who say things which you don’t like. But that doesn’t mean it’s the policy of the administration. So‚ same goes here.” “I’m saying outright‚ officially and unequivocally‚ this is not the Israeli position‚” he added. “We should remember‚ however‚ the national psyche here. We are in deep trauma. In the last three months‚ we have – we have seen – we have seen so much agony‚ pain‚ and sadness. And may I remind all that we still have over 130 Israelis from babies‚ from toddlers‚ one of them due to celebrate one year old in a week’s time‚ all the way to 85-year-olds‚ as well‚ including people with Holocaust background. So‚ because of that‚ our nation – our nation is bereaving‚ is worried‚ is agonized‚ and we are doing whatever we can to do whatever it takes to bring back these hostages.” WATCH:

House And Senate Leaders Reach Spending Deal; Johnson Touts ‘Concessions’

Leaders in Congress announced on Sunday a spending deal that could help avert the start of another government shutdown in less than two weeks. In a letter to colleagues‚ House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) revealed a fiscal 2024 agreement of $886 billion for defense and $704 billion for nondefense. The “topline” $1.59 trillion figure matches the “statutory levels” agreed upon in last year’s debt ceiling bill called the Fiscal Responsibility Act (FRA)‚ he added. Johnson touted “concessions‚” including further slashing funds directed to the Internal Revenue Service and cutting the Biden administration’s billions more dollars in “slush funds” from the COVID era‚ and the rejection of “accounting gimmicks” from the FRA framework. “The agreement today achieves key modifications to the June framework that will secure more than $16 billion in additional spending cuts to offset the discretionary spending levels‚” he wrote. “The result is real savings to American taxpayers and real reductions in the federal bureaucracy‚” Johnson said. The speaker also conceded that the “final spending levels will not satisfy everyone‚ and they do not cut as much spending as many of us would like‚” but he stressed the deal showed progress in championing conservative priorities. Lawmakers in the Senate and House Appropriations Committees are now expected to pick up on negotiating and completing the 12 annual appropriations bills with the framework in mind. Time is of the essence‚ as the two-step continuing resolution (CR) passed in November funds certain federal agencies through January 19 while others would get money through February 2. At least one member of the conservative Freedom Caucus‚ Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX)‚ voiced dismay with the spending agreement‚ which is separate from the debate over tying border security reforms to supplemental national funds for U.S. allies such as Ukraine and Israel. The “topline in spending is terrible &; gives away the leverage accomplished in the (already not great) caps deal‚” Roy said in a post to X. “We’ll wait to see if we get meaningful policy riders… but 1) the [National Defense Authorization Act] was not a good preview‚ &; 2) as usual‚ we keep spending more money we don’t have.” Leaders for the Democrats in Congress released a statement on the spending agreement. “By securing the $772.7 billion for non-defense discretionary funding‚ we can protect key domestic priorities like veterans benefits‚ health care and nutrition assistance from the draconian cuts sought by right-wing extremists‚” said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY). Schumer and Jeffries also emphasized that they “made clear to Speaker Mike Johnson that Democrats will not support including poison pill policy changes in any of the twelve appropriations bills put before the Congress.” President Joe Biden also reacted to the deal in a statement released by the White House. “The bipartisan funding framework congressional leaders have reached moves us one step closer to preventing a needless government shutdown and protecting important national priorities‚” Biden said. “It reflects the funding levels that I negotiated with both parties and signed into law last spring. It rejects deep cuts to programs hardworking families count on‚ and provides a path to passing full-year funding bills that deliver for the American people and are free of any extreme policies‚” Biden added. “I want to thank Leaders Schumer and Jeffries for their leadership in reaching this framework‚” the president continued. “Now‚ congressional Republicans must do their job‚ stop threatening to shut down the government‚ and fulfill their basic responsibility to fund critical domestic and national security priorities‚ including my supplemental request. It’s time for them to act.”
