Fox News host Jesse Watters ripped apart the Associated Press (AP) for accepting funding from eco-extremist donors while still painting itself as an impartial news service. Watters tore into the AP for accepting funding from leftist groups to expand its climate coverage during the Jan. 2 edition of Jesse Watters Primetime‚ while asking if media outlets have just effectively become “guns for hire.” After discussing just how powerful the AP is‚ Waters asked if the leftist outlet had been bribed. He called out how‚ “they wouldn't call it a bribe‚ but the AP takes millions of dollars in grants from left-wing foundations. Don't you see it's not a bribe‚ it’s just a donation. Radical left-wing foundations donated millions to the Associated Press and the Associated Press agreed to pump up their climate change coverage. They said ‘Now‚ we’re going all in on climate change’ and hired 20 new reporters just to focus on global warming.”  In fact‚ the AP received $8 million from a number of leftist non-profits in 2022 and promised to expand its climate coverage.  During the twelve months following the announcement‚ an MRC Business study found sixty-four articles where the AP pushed radical ESG and climate change alarmism talking points. The AP has also received hundreds of thousands of dollars from the radical Danish KR Foundation‚ which bemoans any resistance to the destruction of cheap American energy.     Watters added‚ “And do you think the global warming coverage is going to be balanced? It’s not. It only goes one way. Liberal money is literally getting global warming stories planted on the front page of America's papers.”  After listing glaring examples of bias in its coverage‚ Watters laid into the AP again. “The AP claims to be straight news. They say they’re unbiased. They just happen to gobble up a gargantuan sum of money from anti-oil groups that support population control. And even take foreign donations‚” Watters rebuked. Watters went on to hang the AP with it's own press release. “The AP claims it’s clean‚ but a VP at the company admitted in a press release that ‘Funders’ weren’t just being generous; they had their own goals to achieve. ‘This is a mutually beneficial arrangement.’ And the AP isn’t the only one. The New York Times‚ NPR  — they take bribes‚ I mean grants from liberal foundations‚ too. A half a billion bucks is going to local news across the country. Is the news for sale? Kind of sounds like it” Watters went on to dissect the leftist bias of legacy media coverage of environmentalist issues with Twitter Files journalist Michael Shellenberger.   Shellenberger said that the Associated Press had “really sold out. It has become basically a propaganda platform rather than a place of journalism.” Shellenberger called the outlet out for promoting disinformation around the issue of whale deaths attributed to wind turbines. Watters would also ask Shellenberger about struggling local news organizations turning into “nonprofits so they can receive donations from left-wing foundations” and whether they were becoming “guns for hire.” Shellenberger agreed‚ saying that “it’s a vicious cycle. They’re losing readers because nobody trusts them. And they take money from biased interests and then do biased stories and then they lose more public trust. It’s a downward spiral–for Associated Press and a lot of these news media outlets.” Conservatives are under attack! The disastrous effects of Bidenomics are angering Americans in droves‚ and the media and politicians need to understand the reason behind this. Fox Business anchor Larry Kudlow laid into the Biden administration’s horrible policies in the Jan. 2 edition of his eponymous show. “Right at the start of his term‚” Kudlow said about President Joe Biden‚ “he front-loaded massive federal spending‚ regulations and his socialist Green New Deal war against fossil fuels. The result? He cited a Fox News poll saying‚ “Biden’s economy is rating at just 21 percent‚ with 78 percent saying it’s in bad shape.” The Fox Business host laughed about Biden’s reaction‚ saying‚ “Now‚ President Biden is blaming the media. Ha! Ha! Ha! Now in November 2023 — the most recent — that same measure…stood at $380. Cringe.  Tatum Hatch‚ a 32-year-old ex-teacher at West Monroe High School in West Monroe‚ Louisiana‚ was arrested this week after being suspected of sexting a 15-year-old student in her school.  According to Daily Mail‚ the investigation began when the local sheriff's office was tipped off on December 15 about an “inappropriate student-teacher relationship.” Hatch allegedly told the young boy that she “wanted to take his virginity‚ then molested him while in her car with her baby sleeping‚” the Daily Mail reported. Hatch then reportedly picked the boy up at his house and touched his genitals in her car.  West Monroe High School’s mission statement is‚ “We resolve to be wholeheartedly devoted to the overall education of our youth‚ while intentionally using our influence to add value to each student whose life we touch.” I guess Hatch just thought she had to actually touch the student to “add value.”  Authorities contacted the 15-year-old student’s father‚ who said his son claims his relationship with Hatch had been going on for a year and a half.  Related: Oregon High School Postpones ‘Family Friendly’ Drag Show Amid Threats Deputies searched the child’s phone and found Instagram messages between him and Hatch in which she said she wanted “them to have sex‚ telling him to come through her bedroom window‚” Daily Mail wrote. Hatch also allegedly sent naked pictures to the child via the “vanish mode” on the app‚ which allows an image to be sent and then automatically deleted. I mean after all‚ Hatch does run a photography account so she enjoys taking pics in her free time. Just a different kind of picture this time‚ I guess. Hatch also reportedly gave the young boy “between $500 and $600 after she became afraid of a rumor she heard about the boy.” Hatch resigned on December 26‚ the school board confirmed‚ and her photo is not listed on the school's faculty directory.  Hatch has been charged with computer-aided solicitation of a minor by the Ouachita Parish Sheriff Office. Plus‚ “Solo: A Star Wars Story” proved a financial disappointment. That leads to “New Jedi Order‚” which follows actress Daisy Ridley’s Rey character into a story untethered to the Skywalker saga. Obaid-Chinoy of “Ms. Marvel” fame just suggested the first “Star Wars” film since 2019’s “Rise of Skywalker” may actually start production soon. “Soon” is subjective‚ of course. As of November‚ Ridley had yet to read a finished script of the film‚ to be penned by “Peaky Blinders” alum Stephen Knight. The director teased the project during a New Year’s Eve interview on the far-Left CNN. “I’m very thrilled about the project because I feel what we’re about to create is something very special. And we’re in 2024 now‚ and it’s about time that we had a woman come forward to shape a story in a galaxy far‚ far away.” CNN did its part to push the director’s Identity Politics bona fides‚ describing Obaid-Chinoy as the first woman and first person of color to direct a “Star Wars” film. That’s CNN being CNN‚ which ignored female directors like Bryce Dallas Howard and Deborah Chow. Both have directed episodes of small-screen “Star Wars” projects. Still‚ Obaid-Chinoy is reading from the dog-eared playbook that has sent Disney’s fortunes into a tailspin. She’s also flat-out wrong. Carrie Fisher’s Princess Leia played an outsized role in the first three “Star Wars” films. More recently‚ actress Felicity Jones headlined “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” and small-screen “Star Wars” projects include “Ahsoka‚” led by Rosario Dawson‚ and other strong female heroes (Gina Carano’s Cara Dune). She’s often dismissed as a “Mary Sue‚” a near-perfect figure who doesn’t even work hard to achieve her Jedi powers. We don’t even know if “New Jedi Order” will even make it into production given Disney’s recent “Star Wars” woes. One thing remains clear. New year‚ same woke messaging from a member of the Mouse House.

He had notecards in his hand to talk to Ryan Seacrest about the holidays‚ and his wife had to remind him that he likes ice cream. Tell me you didn't mutter to yourself some version of “we're losing to this?" like I did. We’re going to be pounded with fear messaging every day until November. The takeaway: we're up against a great deal of evil and a rising wave of manufactured crisis‚ but we're also up against a bunch of nothing. Mediocrity and emptiness prevail. The unnecessary decline of the American republic is the doing of people who can't deliver their prepared lines without a support team and a coach to feed them the words. (Psst‚ you like ice cream. Say the line!) Negative selection‚ the system that chooses the weakest people for the highest positions‚ rules the day. We have a Potemkin leadership class‚ a painted façade propped up with sticks. Senator J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) just nailed the meaning of Claudine Gay's resignation as the president of Harvard‚ describing her as "a representative of a system of education that rewards mediocrity." Her thin record of real accomplishment‚ against a record of rapid institutional success and promotion‚ tells us about our public health leaders and our foreign policy establishment as much as it tells us about academia. “Our entire elite is like this‚” Vance wrote. “This is why you should mock the public health experts who want you to mask toddlers in their schools to stop the spread of a respiratory virus… This is why you should question the doctors who tell you to prescribe experimental pharmaceuticals to gender-confused children… The real story of Harvard is not Claudine Gay’s firing but this: You are ruled by thousands of people who are just as mediocre.” But here’s where it gets tricky. In this case‚ a weak enemy will be more dangerous than a strong one because they feel their weakness and know they must compensate. Most obviously‚ if they knew they could beat Donald Trump with a better candidate and a better argument‚ our dismal political class wouldn’t be pivoting to the staggeringly provocative choice of throwing him off the ballot. That move screams weakness and danger with equal clarity. I emailed the office of Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows last week after she ordered Trump off that state's ballots with the obvious question — does she have more Republicans in mind who count as insurrectionists and should be removed from future ballots? It wouldn’t be a surprise if she did. On social media‚ leftists offer a long list of what they consider to be Trump’s fellow travelers‚ demanding their arrest and their exclusion from politics. A sample message on what used to be Twitter: “A lot of high-ranking Rs are about to be indicted. Lindsey‚ Ted Cruz‚ Johnson‚ Perry — more are counting down to get that knock on their door.” They’re not kidding. I got no response from the secretary of state's office in Maine‚ but George Washington University Law School professor Jonathan Turley describes several current efforts to remove a range of Republicans from the ballot all over the country. The dangerousness of weak people illustrated. Trust us‚ we have to protect our democracy by transitioning to a single-party ballot. Politicians who have no record to run on cook up fake horrors to scare people away from their opponents‚ and we're going to be pounded with fear messaging every day until November. A commenter on my Substack called this maneuver “amygdala hijacking‚” and I may put that phrase on T-shirts. Biden‚ his pathetic “red speech” having faded from memory‚ is planning to come back for yet another big speech on January 6 about how Republicans represent a threat to democracy. The demonization will become ubiquitous and shrill to the point of madness. What else do they have? Finally‚ the summer of 2020 has been scheduled for a replay this year as Hamas supporters prepare to play the Black Lives Matter/Antifa game in American cities. They’ve already started. Fear fear fear‚ disorder disorder disorder. That is your preview of 2024. It will all be desperate nonsense. Be steady‚ calm‚ and focused. Know your enemy is pathetic. Skip the January 6 speech and spend the day with family and friends. You’re OK‚ even if our political class isn’t.

Multiple government agencies executed a search warrant on an Amish farm in Pennsylvania on Thursday. Government employees are seen on video hauling away several coolers of products from the organic farm. However‚ the lawyer for the farmer in question argues that the seizure of food was "patently illegal." Three Pennsylvania State Troopers and seven employees of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture conducted an hours-long search of a farm in Upper Leacock Township. Police are seen on video ordering a reporter from the Lancaster Patriot to exit the building while the search was conducted. Video of the raid shows government employees seizing multiple coolers from the Lancaster County dairy farm owned by Amos Miller. The news outlet reported that the search warrant was issued by Magisterial District Judge B. Denise Commins on Wednesday. The search warrant purportedly included an affidavit of probable cause completed by Sheri Morris – acting Bureau director of food safety with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture said it executed a search warrant as part of an investigation into two food-borne illness cases‚ according to Lancaster Online.The potential cases stem from two underage individuals in Michigan and New York suffering illness after consuming raw eggnog and other raw dairy products from the Miller Organic Farm. Health officials in both states noted that the sickened individuals tested positive for Shiga toxin-producing E. coli.The raid of Miller's farm "sought‚ among other things‚ illegal raw milk and raw milk products‚ including eggnog‚" the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture said.The government agency declared‚ "Miller has never licensed his retail operation."Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) said of the raid on the X social media platform: "Looks like Amos Miller’s farm is being raided. With all of the problems in society today‚ this is what the government wants to focus on? A man growing food for informed customers‚ without participating in the industrial meat/milk complex? It’s shameful that it’s come to this."Massie is the co-author of the PRIME Act bill that "makes it easier for small farms and ranches to serve consumers." "Consumers want to know where their food comes from‚ what it contains‚ and how it’s processed. Instead‚ the state unlawfully obtained a search warrant‚ based on materially false statements in an affidavit by a high-ranking state official in an agency with a known grievance against independent farmers like Amos‚ and‚ after the raid and finding no evidence of wrongdoing‚ then illegally ordered detained every item of food in one of Amos Miller’s coolers‚ including buffalo meat not even subject to federal regulation. The detention order is patently illegal under Pennsylvania law. Despite the constant harassment‚ Amos will continue to do all he legally can to provide the food his members deeply need. In 2016‚ the U.S. Food and Drug Administration scrutinized Amos over selling raw milk. Two individuals suffered from listeriosis – one of whom died. Health officials traced the raw milk back to Miller's Organic Farm. The USDA came down hard on Miller for slaughtering farm animals without federal inspections of his operation. Miller argued that his farm only sold the meat to those with private club memberships to Miller's Organic Farm‚ which he believed exempted him to federal regulations. According to the Foundation for Economic Education‚ "The story reached a climax in March 2022 when a federal judge ordered Miller to cease and desist all meat sales and authorized armed U.S. Marshals to use 'reasonable force' to gain access to Miller’s farm so a court expert could inspect it."The expert and the U.S. Marshals took an inventory of all Miller’s meat on the premises. Federal inspectors continue to investigate Miller's farm every few months. However‚ Miller has often been in a standoff with the federal government over allowing inspectors on his farm. The U.S. Department of Justice filed a civil action requiring Miller's farm to comply with federal meat and poultry food safety statutes.The Amish farmer initially faced fines from the government of $250‚000. Chicago Alderman Brian Hopkins (D) said Thursday that he doubts Chicago would have become a "sanctuary city" if the city knew what it would have meant for the future. The Windy City has been a sanctuary city since 1985 when then-Mayor Harold Washington issued an executive order prohibiting city employees from asking residents or assisting in investigations related to the "citizenship or residency status of any person." The order also prohibited the city from denying city services to residents based on their citizenship status. Chicago's subsequent mayors have reaffirmed that order‚ and the city has also passed the Welcoming City Ordnance‚ which itself as been reaffirmed and expanded many times. On Thursday‚ Hopkins complained on Fox News that the federal government has "dropped the ball" on the migrant crisis‚ demanding the Biden administration do more to help Chicago‚ which has been overwhelmed by tens of thousands of migrants. "We've been asking for assistance from the federal government to help this crisis on the ground and to secure the border in Texas and Arizona‚" Hopkins explained. That grumbling prompted Fox News host Sandra Smith to highlight the inconsistency between Hopkins' rhetoric and Chicago's actions. "But with all due respect‚ didn't leadership in your city say‚ 'We are a sanctuary city. All are welcome?' Wasn't that the message?" she asked. "Yes. You're not hearing that from me‚" Hopkins responded. "You know‚ I think if we had to vote all over again on authorization for whether Chicago is going to be a sanctuary city‚ I’m not sure we would be." The alderman pointed to an effort to add a referendum to the city's March ballot that sought to ask voters if they want to maintain Chicago's status as a sanctuary city. Mayor Brandon Johnson (D) blocked that effort‚ Hopkins explained. "Our status as a sanctuary city first was established way back in the '80s. This is not new. We put this flag in the ground a long time ago. No one at that time had any idea that it would lead to this today. This was completely unpredicted and it’s completely unprecedented‚ and nobody thought a sanctuary city would mean what it means‚" he said. It's true that Chicago's sanctuary city policies themselves are not directly responsible for the migrant crisis the city is facing. But the policies present the city as a safe and welcoming landing pad for migrants‚ where they can access paid-for services without fear about their immigration status.
