Elwood Edwards was a behind-the-scenes graphics and camera operator at Cleveland’s television station WKYC when he got his shot at fame thanks to his wife, Karen. The outlet recently announced his death at 74, noting that he had been ill for years. His employers at WKYC testified to his jack-of-all-trade nature, noting that he enjoyed taking on extra roles. In 2016, Elwood raised concerns after a fan spotted him working as an Uber driver. “That dude isn’t making enough,” someone replied.
