Catherine O’Hara graced a recent episode of Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s Wiser Than Me podcast, where she admitted to sleeping off at a wedding. The groom in question was Catherine’s costar, John Candy, who married Rosemary Margaret Hobor in 1979. In her defense, Catherine did not mean to make Candy’s wedding seem boring—she simply struggled with staying awake a lot. The 70-year-old told Julia that she wished to spend less time napping, leaving the host shocked and curious. The mum of two recalled staying up all night to discuss their ideas, leaving her sleepy all day long. Knowing his friend well, Candy may not have nursed any grudge against Catherine for dozing off on his big day. The duo worked together on Home Alone in 1990 and Second City’s sketch comedy show SCTV, where she claims Candy was paid way less than his male counterparts.
