Critical police: Sweden soon one large exposed area

Peter Torstensson has worked as a police officer for over 30 years in various places in the country. Twenty years ago, he was a local police officer in the "vulnerable" immigrant area Rinkeby in Stockholm. Not only were the problems with crime less there then compared to now - today he sees the immigrant serious gang crime everywhere in the country. The whole of Sweden is moving towards being taken over by the gangs where the police and the democratic monopoly on violence are retreating. Peter is now sharply criticizing the country's politicians and the management of his own authority for allowing this development to continue.

Today, Peter Torstensson works in a police district in Dalsland. Like many other police officers, he sought to move away from the more soldier- and war-like workday that police officers in the metropolitan regions have to deal with. But the problems with serious immigration-related crime that were previously limited to mainly the big cities have today spread throughout the country. " For a few years I have seen things I recognize from the past, from my time in Rinkeby ," Peter writes in a debate article in Expressen.

The Easter weekend's Muslim and gang criminal Korah riots were not limited to 'vulnerable' areas in the big cities. The worst took place in what used to be, before the non-western mass immigration, calm and idyllic small Swedish towns. " The whole country is heading into the same problems as in our larger cities ," states Peter, who during his more than 30-year career as a police officer has seen the changes in society up close and been at the forefront of dealing with the new Sweden's criminal development.

"Swedish police humiliated like never before"
Even though Peter and his colleagues saw it coming, he believes that the Koran riots are historic in that " Swedish police were humiliated like never before " and regarding how clear it became that the police authority is no longer able to fulfill its mission to maintain law and order and protect democratic freedoms and rights. Part of the political establishment and the police management do not even have the will to do so.

" Apart from the rioters, the shadows are now falling heavily on the political establishment and the police leadership. What happened must be investigated and responsibility demanded "Peter demands and probably speaks for many more in the corps than himself and in addition a majority of the Swedish people."

The social services' efforts did not work
Peter tells when he, as part of a newly formed local police group in 1995, worked in the already then immigrant-dominated and crime-ridden Rinkeby on Järvafältet in northwest Stockholm. There had been riots and now the situation was to cool down.

Compared with today, however, it was a significantly smaller group of immigrant youths who were responsible for the majority of the crimes and violence. Peter and his colleagues were able to call in a core squad of about 30 people who " committed crimes constantly and constantly ".

Then as now, the socio-economic explanation model was prevalent, but Peter and his colleagues quickly discovered that "the efforts of the social services did not work ". But when the police in 2001 compiled a list of the lifestyle criminals they felt needed to be marked and closely monitored in Rinkeby, it became " an heated debate in the media ". That was not allowed to be done, it was called from a left-liberal political point of view.

The savings on the police have had consequences
Then as now, the police also struggled with underfunding. Like many other core tasks such as care, nursing and schooling, the police authority had felt savings and cuts as the migration and integration budget areas devoured an increasing share of the state budget and citizens' paid tax money.

" The police economy was tough even then," Peter explains, describing a police management that even then was not receptive to arguments and criticism from police officers in the external service who saw the real reality beyond the desks in the police station. The result of that misunderstanding, the lack of resources and the increasing violence of immigrants was " more and more people sought refuge and in the end not many of us remained ".

Switching to quieter districts gave only temporary respite
One of those who did not have the strength was Peter. While others left the police profession completely, he chose to continue but in places where the work environment was not as tiring and dangerous. Recently, Peter has served in Dalsland. But as a police officer, 'voting with your feet' now turns out to have only given a temporary respite. Mass immigration policy has continued at an unabated pace and what used to be the concerns of a few areas is now the whole country.

“ There are several poor municipalities that took on a very large responsibility during the migration crisis in 2015, where the number of new arrivals in some cases amounted to almost one thousand per municipality. Today, social services, schools and leisure activities are heavily strained, unemployment and dependency on benefits are high. It looks more or less the same throughout the country ", writes Peter.

The number of criminals is increasing, the police are fewer
He also describes a backward development where crime has increased at the same time as police resources have decreased. In Peter's own district, the police force has been reduced by half compared to 2008. The police management tries to cover up the shortcomings by borrowing patrols temporarily from other long-distance districts when it gets hot, but it can be a route of ten miles - not optimal when emergency calls required.

What happens is often instead what we witnessed during the Easter weekend's Koran riots. Peter and his team are forced to pull out as a lone patrol and when the resistance from the new serious crime that has established itself becomes too great, there is nothing to do but back down. The signals it sends to the bully are that "respect for the police is gradually decreasing all the time". At the same time as he and his colleagues retire, he has to endure " insults at best, threats and violence at worst ".

The police management obscures what reality looks like
Another misconduct that Peter experiences is serious is the "culture of silence" that prevailed within both the police authority around the connection between the rampant serious crime and the immigration policy that he and his colleagues witness every day but are not expected to talk about loudly. If the police do not communicate to responsible politicians what reality looks like and instead obscures it, it leads to wrong political decisions being made.

Peter sees daily examples of how the police management smooths over serious crime problems and conveys a Baghdad Bob image of what it looks like in society. "Despite daily firearm killings and shootings, words are heard from senior police chiefs that 'we are on the right track' and 'we are seeing improvements'." This is in contrast to the opposite development that police officers in external service see where " we are in principle all over the country heading into the same problems as in our larger cities ".

Investing in cities and saving in the countryside no longer works
The model that has been applied so far, where small towns and rural areas have been regarded as areas where the police presence can be cut down to prioritize the big cities, is today obsolete, says Peter. Serious immigration-related gang crime and violent Islamism are now established almost everywhere. " A continuously present and resourceful police force is also needed in Sweden's smaller cities, communities and rural areas ."

Peter also mentions the goal of 10,000 more police employees by 2024 that the Social Democratic government has promised. It has previously been criticized for shuffling the cards by talking about "police officers" instead of "police officers". Real police trained will only make up a small proportion of the total reinforcement.

"We who work out here see it coming"
But according to Peter, the reality has already run away from that investment, even though it would actually be about setting up 10,000 new police officers against the crime. "Unfortunately, the truth is that even that goal is not enough to meet the challenges of the future across the entire country."

In conclusion, he calls on the police leadership, politicians and the media not to "continue the dark" development of society towards a situation where gang criminal and religious-political violence is taking over power in the country piece by piece. A now winged expression of political ignorance about the migration policy consequences is the then Prime Minister Stefan Löfven's "We did not see it coming". Peter Torstensson paraphrases this in your debate article and says : " We who work out here see it coming ".

"A television crew found a second suspicious barrel near the shore of a Nevada lake while investigating a first barrel that contained human remains.
As Law&Crime previously reported, boaters on Lake Mead, a popular reservoir for fun-seekers about 45 minutes east of Las Vegas, discovered the first rusted metal barrel near the edge of the depleted body of water on Sunday afternoon. Low water levels in the lake exposed the long-hidden barrel; it had rusted open and clearly contained bones, a shirt, and a belt, according to a witness who was present for the grisly discovery. The authorities say the remains appeared to be those of a man who was wearing clothing sold by Kmart in the late 70s. The victim had been shot to death, likely in the late 70s or early 80s, the authorities told several local news organizations.
A television crew with Las Vegas CBS affiliate KLAS found a second barrel in the vicinity and alerted the police, but the TV station said the authorities confirmed that the second suspicious barrel was empty."

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Police are looking for a missing father and his son in Dayton.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said they are requesting the public’s help finding 31-year-old Andres Lopez-Perez and his son, 11-year-old Lucas Lopez-Hernandez.

They were last seen on Phillips Avenue in Dayton on April 24, 2022 around 6 p.m. It’s not known whether they had left on foot or by a vehicle.

Andres Lopez-Perez is 5-foot-3 and approximately 140 pounds while Lucas Lopez-Hernandez is 4-foot-3" and approximately 85 pounds.
