LEADER The big snack at this year's Oscars was not which films or actors won or did not win, but should have won the coveted statuettes. Nor the fact that it was a revival of a gala in front of an audience after a couple of years of covid restrictions. Instead, he stole the show from Will Smith as he made his way onto the stage and gave this year's conference, Chris Rock, a slap in the face to the assembled Hollywood cream and millions of TV viewers.

"Black on black violence" is, like immigrant violence in Sweden, by far the most common form of violence in the United States, but is usually perpetrated on the streets and not in the fine salons. It is a violence that is often honor-related and in that aspect Will Smith's raw soup fits in - the motive was retaliation for Chris Rock not showing his wife respect when he joked about her hairstyle or rather lack of such due to disease-related hair loss. Another common factor is that in certain ethnicities one does not tolerate satire but becomes violent.

Will Smith has his roots in the black rap culture which, just like in Sweden, has close links to organized serious gang crime. It is said that you can take the gangster from the street but not the street from the gangster. How relevant that saying is, both in general and in the present case, could be part of the discussion, but the part of the left-liberal sloping professional establishment that puts political aspects on the event has other stick horses.

Toxic masculinity or sanctioned feminist violence?
Left-wing feminists, for example, are now squinting at each other in disagreement over whether Will Smith's pacifier should be seen as an expression of so-called toxic masculinity or, on the contrary, that he drew a lance (fist) for all women that Chris Rock is considered to have diminished with his flint.

But it obviously works. Following the incident, "woke" profiles have claimed that the joke against Jada Pinkett Smith was insulting because director Ridley Scott's intention with the film GI Jane was to diminish women by pointing them out as homosexual. It is not only a bizarre conspiratorial statement but also a logical short that raises questions about what view of sexual minorities one actually has in this political camp.

Perhaps the outrage also has something to do with so-called cultural appropriation. Blacks, judging by the recent uproar surrounding the white artist Agnes ' alleged theft of a black hairstyle on SVT On the Track, seem to be sensitive when it comes to hair. Chris Rock's joke was, so to speak, inverted hair-related and wife Jada Pinkett Smith is, like her husband, black.

Protected by black privileges
A race-related reflection that is closer at hand to do is that it is a terrible luck for Will Smith that he, as a black man, enjoys the group's structural social privileges . Imagine that a white movie star in the salon lost his temper in the same way, rushed up on stage and cut to a black comedian and conferences and then rounded it off by shouting gender words. The person in question had immediately been arrested and taken out of the building by security guards and police, put in jail overnight and could now look forward to a legal aftermath with serious accusations.

The criticism that is now directed at Will Smith is also a mild western fan compared to the accusations of racism that had then hailed, even if the motive for the attack had nothing to do with skin color. It is inconceivable that a white actor would be allowed to remain in the salon and only a moment later go up on stage and receive an Oscar. In a quick decision by the committee and the jury, if the sinner had been white, the statuette would have instead passed on to another of the nominees.

However, there would have been no racism debate if Will Smith had given a white Oscars conference a slap in the face. Oddly enough, he would have gotten away as easily then as he does now. Instead of accusations of racism, we might even have heard identity-political reasoning about how Will Smith stood up to the white oppression. A white comedian had been criticized many times harder for a bald joke about a black woman than Chris Rock now does. He too is saved by his skin color and his black privilege.

Racial riots about Will Smith being white
It's also lucky for all store owners in Los Angeles and other cities that Will Smith is black. For had he been white, we would now have seen new sweeping racial riots in the streets with shattered shop windows and looted shops, staged by Marxist Black Lives Matter and other pro-racial groups that do their best to ethnically polarize American society and tear down consensus over racial boundaries established over the past 50 years.

But black privileges are not an issue that the left-liberal establishment wants to raise, despite the fact that affirmative action policies have become so overrated that whites today have to pretend to be black to get a coveted political assignment or academic service and white schoolchildren today are forced to ask apology to the class for their skin color and the racially biologically related evil they are considered to have inherited within themselves. Even in Sweden, dark skin color has become a ticket to attractive assignments and services that trump real merits in quotas and positive special treatment. Here, too, whites kneel in submission to blacks.

The obsolete narrative with blacks as a vulnerable and discriminated group and whites as privileged oppressors must, however, be maintained no matter how hollow it sounds because the entire justification of the left according to its identity-political metamorphosis now stands and falls with it. That's why all pro actors who want to see something political in Will Smith's snout instead focus on being a man and spice up their opinion pieces with #metoo hashtags and, since the incident occurred where it did, reminders of Harvey Weinstein.

Hollywood - more woke than Weinstein
Rotten eggs have always existed in Hollywood, but the fact that someone like Weinstein could go on for decades and cough up sex says less about him than it does about the actresses' career desire and lack of female solidarity. We have a parallel case in Sweden with the "cultural profile" of Jean-Claude Arnault, whose progress could have been halted decades ago if the high-tailed feminist rhetoric on the cultural pages had been accompanied by only a fraction of so much practical feminist courage. All that is required for evil to prevail is, as Edmund Burke already stated in the 18th century, that the good do nothing.

More than being hunting grounds for sexual predators, Hollywood and the Oscars have recently been the scene of an identity-political wave of tsunami dimension. The casting process in Tinseltown is now a veritable quota hysteria based on skin color, gender, sexual orientation and functional variation that in many productions has turned into the directly ridiculous and that painfully weighs them down in the same way as clumsily implemented product placement.

It is not uncommon, with reference to this supposed virtue, to engage in history revisionism as well. I do not want to imply black actors Shakespeare roles but most Hollywood produces are not really at that level and there is no shortage of characters that can be shouldered by black actors without gross violence on historical authenticity or that you go to exaggeration and do number of skin tones and ethnicities represented on the white canvas at the expense of other cinematic qualities.

One-way history revisionism

Bad humor over humor ban
Chris Rock's qualities as a comedian can perhaps be discussed, as well as the quality of the current joke. But the prevailing doctrine of insult that the left and Muslims advocate that one should not joke about one or the other is significantly more dangerous from a freedom of expression democratic perspective than that one or the other bad or blunt joke slips through.

Will Smith was definitely more fun when he gave an alien a slap in the face as a fighter pilot on Independence Day than when he did the same with Chris Rock at the Oscars. But even less funny is the debate that has now started where some seriously legitimize that actors should be allowed to shut up even outside the white canvas and how that right is extrapolated and conditioned for political purposes.

Individuals and groups who use violence against each other are the central theme in several hugely popular genres of films and TV series. One may wonder why we are so fascinated by evil sudden death in the world of fiction and if it is healthy. Psychologists believe that it is about some form of incantation of our fear of the violence of reality. In cinema and television, good usually wins over evil in the end and we are lulled into a, possibly false, assurance that this is one of the natural laws of the universe.

Democratic monopoly of violence the only good violence
Will Smith vs Chris Rock is now used to re-legitimize black violence, leftist violence and Muslim violence but condemn right-wing violence. It is the same reasoning that is applied to defend lethal violence in response to someone being violated by a satire or a burning book, the same rhetoric that justifies BLM taking to the streets to vandalize, plunder and abuse.

More dangerous than the violence of individual actors moving out of the white canvas into reality is that entire groups dress up as superhero roles as perpetrators of good violence. The democratic monopoly on violence is not infallible, but the best we have for maintaining a civilized legal society.

Self-justified extrajudicial violence is equally reprehensibly undemocratic, whether its practitioners call themselves left or right, have dark or light complexions, profess one religion or the other.

In the same way, today's increasing black privileges in society are as bad as yesterday's whites. It needs to be marked in large as in small. Therefore, those responsible for the Oscars now need to put their foot down and recall Will Smith's Oscar, just as the US judiciary needs to do so by sentencing him to a custodial sentence.

Footnote: Many people think that the pacifier was just a well-directed publicity stunt. That may be so, but it does not change the reasoning above very much because the voices I refer to assume that it was serious. As long as it has not been exposed as a hoax, I also think that the people in charge of the Oscars and the judiciary should consider it a genuine act of violence.

Extensive food fraud in Malmö - the halal store's food expired in 2011

The environmental administration in Malmö has discovered a record amount of expired food in stores that Kurds in Malmö are behind. In total, this involves more than 50 tonnes of food that the administration's inspectors have banned from marketing. Some of the food has been illegally imported to Sweden, and for some food the best before date was already passed in 2011.

At the end of August last year, the Environmental Administration in Malmö, with the help of police, carried out an inspection of the Akam Livs store in Rosengård in Malmö. During the inspection, the inspectors discover a large number of food products whose best pre-date has either been passed, has no date marking at all or where the date marking has been hidden or removed.

In total, there are 825 kilos of foodstuffs that are considered unfit for human consumption, of which just over half consist of one-liter packages of sunflower oil. The food is disposed of for destruction and a decision is made that the store must be temporarily closed.

More food fraud
After Akam Livs received permission to reopen, the inspectors will carry out a new inspection just a few days later in early September. During this inspection, more deviations are found.

Among other things, it is discovered that the store stores "irrelevant objects" such as "bicycles and a lot of rubbish", which make cleaning and the possibility of detecting pests difficult. In addition, it is stated that "several products lack mandatory labeling information in Swedish" and that many foods have a lack of traceability. It is therefore unclear where they were purchased from.

In October, a decision is made on a fine against the store of tens of thousands of kronor for each occasion that deviations are discovered. A third inspection will be carried out in November. This time it is discovered that the store sells food that has been illegally imported to Sweden by a company that is not registered with the National Food Administration.

Last Monday, the food inspectors raided another grocery store in Rosengård. This time the halal store Mix Mat Matbutik. Hundreds of kilos of food that are either too old, do not have an expiration date or are otherwise deemed unfit to be discovered.

The next day, another inspection is therefore made of the store's warehouse, which is located at another address in Malmö. Enormous amounts of effluent or incorrectly labeled food are found there - more than 50 tonnes. The best before date for some of the food was passed as early as 2011.

The food inspectors decide on a marketing ban for the old foodstuffs.
