I've no issue with the concept of EV's. But there's no way it can be done cost effectively for Average Americans within even a few decades.

Will have to take much longer at slower, more incremental stages. Unless the auto manufacturers, power and contracting/materials companies and their stockholders, and our politicians are willing to sacrifice their profit shares and raise no new taxes to make it happen.

If not, Average Americans cannot handle the cost. Not while we're already hemorrhaging tax dollars at Biblical flood like levels on so many other things, unwanted "guests" who think they're entitled to just shamble into the USA without asking, and other countries who offer little to nothing in return.
