Harris-Walz Social Media Machine Is Silencing Critics and Boosting Supporters

If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. The Kamala Harris campaign has been caught orchestrating a behind-the-scenes effort to manipulate social media platforms, including X, to stifle dissenting voices. Operating through a strategically organized Discord server, the Harris team has coordinated its volunteers and paid operatives to flood platforms with content and, more importantly, suppress any criticism or alternate viewpoints. According to a two-part report from The Federalist, the campaign’s activity includes the promotion of pro-Harris messages to simulate a groundswell of enthusiasm while encouraging supporters to target and downvote corrective notes added by X’s Community Notes feature. This tool, introduced by Elon Musk to foster transparency on X, allows users to flag misleading posts and add context to dubious claims. Musk’s acquisition of the platform was aimed at creating a more balanced environment, moving away from Twitter’s previous management that frequently drew criticism for silencing viewpoints. The Harris-Walz campaign, however, appears bent on undermining this system, directing volunteers to block any Community Notes that challenge their narratives, regardless of the notes’ accuracy. On Discord, paid Democratic staff members instruct supporters to artificially elevate pro-campaign notes while downvoting corrective ones. These actions, according to some involved, are part of a broader strategy to manipulate X’s visibility algorithm. This activity is not confined to X. Yesterday, reports highlighted that the campaign has also been successful in skewing Reddit’s algorithm. But X, given its political influence, has been a primary target. In one instance, a tweet from the campaign falsely quoted Trump, leading volunteers to downvote a Community Note that clarified the context of Trump’s statement, causing it to be suppressed. Harris’ posts remain largely untouched by X’s Community Notes due to these mass downvoting campaigns to suppress criticism. Discord discussions further reveal a campaign-led effort to “train” supporters on how to increase their Community Notes “Rating Impact,” enabling them to create notes themselves and upvote them to prominence. This carefully orchestrated strategy extends to other platforms like TikTok and Instagram, though their design limits political virality compared to Reddit and X. While rallying support and organizing digital outreach have become standard tactics in modern political campaigns, the strategic suppression of criticism through coordinated mass reporting, down-ranking, and flagging represents a shift with significant implications. Astroturfing—manufacturing the appearance of grassroots support—is commonly used to amplify a candidate’s visibility and sway public opinion. However, when campaigns direct their supporters to actively suppress dissenting voices, discredit community note mechanisms, or downvote corrective measures, it veers from advocacy into the territory of censorship. This tactic not only undermines the transparency and credibility of social media platforms but also risks eroding public trust in the authenticity of online discourse, blurring the line between legitimate campaigning and manipulation of the public conversation. Elon Musk says that X is investigating the findings. Read the full report at The Federalist here. Washington Post Spins Furiously on 'Garbage'! 'Biden's Defense Is Entirely Plausible'

Aaron Blake is a "senior political reporter" at The Washington Post, for a section they call "The Fix." Well, Blake's pathetic attempt to help Joe Biden paper over what he quite obviously said is an attempt at "the fix," but it doesn't work. Biden said "Just the other day, a speaker at his rally called Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage...the only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters. His, his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it’s un-American." The Washington Post headline:  Did Biden call Trump supporters ‘garbage’? It comes down to an apostrophe. Republicans have long strained for a new Hillary Clinton-"deplorables" moment, but Biden’s defense is entirely plausible. [Emphasis mine.] Blake recalled how Hillary Clinton calling Trump supporters a "basket of deplorables" may have kept her from winning in 2016. But Blake insists the Republicans can't make this stick:  Republicans’ latest entry on the eve of the 2024 campaign — President Joe Biden’s “garbage” comment Tuesday night — is more plausible than most as their hoped-for “deplorables” moment. But it’s still not nearly as ironclad as Clinton’s comments. And Biden’s increasing tendency to stumble over his words, which marred these very comments, makes it entirely plausible that he didn’t intend to tar large numbers of Trump supporters — as he soon clarified that he hadn’t. It may come down to the placement of an apostrophe, and it’s worth a parse. No. It’s not. It’s about as plausible as trying to argue that when Trump said you can grab ‘em by the pussy, he meant a cat. The Biden camp is trying to transcribe it this way: “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporter’s — his — his — his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it’s un-American.” Blake claimed this version was "entirely plausible. The context is clearly Biden talking about Hinchcliffe’s remark. Biden often speaks in non sequiturs, failing to finish his thoughts and shifting course midsentence, including in the Delaware comments that preceded his “garbage” remark. It’s basically the entire premise of Dana Carvey’s Biden impersonation on Saturday Night Live.” So they're using Biden's infirmity to spin out of this mess. As Biden himself often says, “I mean what I say; the problem is that I sometimes say all that I mean.” Just last week, he made a comment about locking Trump up — the kind of rhetoric Democrats have long criticized Trump and his supporters for — before catching himself. Somehow, despite all of the Democrat prosecutors trying to lock up Trump, this was spun as an innocent booboo, and not a political objective.  It's not helping Blake when Chris Cillizza -- his former colleague at "The Fix" -- said Blake's take was laughable.  Also the attempt to transcribe this by the White House as “supporter’s” as opposed to “supporters” — which he clearly says — is laughable. https://t.co/JEDvpHLDcF — Chris Cillizza (@ChrisCillizza) October 30, 2024 Responding to Cillizza, Michael LaRosa, Jill Biden’s former press secretary, the White House’s attempt to transcribe "supporters" as "supporter’s," was "a bonehead move and one they’ve been caught making before."

Harris stands firm on wildly unpopular immigration plan in final pitch to voters

Vice President Kamala Harris doubled down on her support for mass amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants living in the United States. However, Harris' position on immigration issues appears to defy public sentiment. A poll released in September revealed that roughly 54% of Americans, including 25% of Democrats, “strongly” or “somewhat” support mass deportation of illegal immigrants.Another poll released in May indicated that just 36% of likely U.S. voters would favor a candidate who promoted amnesty over a candidate who promoted mass deportation. In her closing argument to voters on Tuesday evening, Harris stated, “We must acknowledge we are a nation of immigrants. And I will work with Congress to pass immigration reform, including an earned path to citizenship.”'Reform our broken immigration system.'Just last week, Harris told Telemundo host Julio Vaqueiro, “We need smart, humane immigration policy in America that includes a pathway to citizenship, putting more resources at the border in terms of security, honoring America’s history as a country of immigrants, not vilifying people who are fleeing harm, but instead, creating an orderly system for them to actually be able to make their case.”During the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute conference in September, Harris stated that she would work with the CHC to “reform our broken immigration system and protect our DREAMers.”Harris again pledged to “create an earned pathway to citizenship.”An October report from the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee explains how the Biden-Harris administration has already provided “quiet amnesty” to illegal aliens through the immigration court backlog. “Instead of actually adjudicating illegal aliens’ cases based on the merits of aliens’ claims for relief — such as whether an alien has a valid and successful asylum claim — immigration judges under the Biden-Harris Administration have been tasked with rubberstamping case dismissals, case closures, and case terminations, all of which allow illegal aliens to remain in the United States without immigration consequences,” the report read. “This sort of quiet amnesty has become a staple of the Biden-Harris Administration’s immigration courts,” it added. The administration’s “Keeping Families Together” program could also extend mass amnesty to at least 550,000 illegal aliens in the U.S. The program, which is being challenged in court, would allow spouses and stepchildren of American citizens to request parole in place while they seek an adjustment of status. Harris has pledged to sign the failed so-called bipartisan Senate border bill into law. Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, discussed immigration during a Tuesday appearance on “The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz.”Walz said, “We had a bill that added 1,500 more agents. It added more equipment, but it also added more money to DOJ [Department of Justice] to expedite these asylum claims. And then you can secure the border, which we need to do and also adhere to American values by giving pathways to citizenship.”“We can’t forsake this idea that there are pathways to citizenship that aren’t — take too long and you can get people who are here, want to be here, contributing to this country. Give them that pathway that’s legal, and I think that’s what the vice president has said. She said she’d sign the bill immediately,” Walz continued.Harris’ campaign website also notes her vow to establish such pathways but does not elaborate on how she plans to accomplish this goal. However, during a Fox News interview earlier this month, Harris touted the administration’s U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021 as an immigration solution. The bill, which never made it out of committee, would have allowed “undocumented individuals to apply for temporary legal status, with the ability to apply for green cards after five years if they pass criminal and national security background checks and pay their taxes.”“Dreamers, TPS holders, and immigrant farmworkers who meet specific requirements are eligible for green cards immediately under the legislation,” a White House statement read. “After three years, all green card holders who pass additional background checks and demonstrate knowledge of English and U.S. civics can apply to become citizens.”While it would have required applicants to be present in the U.S. on or before January 1, 2021, it would have allowed the administration’s secretary of Homeland Security to “waive the presence requirement for those deported on or after January 20, 2017” if they were previously in the U.S. for three years. The New York Post reported that the bill would allow the return of 1.5 million foreign nationals deported under former President Donald Trump's administration.Like Blaze News? Walz dodges the truth again when asked about Harris' unity message

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) has bent the truth to his benefit on numerous occasions. While it appears that in many cases, Walz has done so out of habit, his attempt to bend the truth on "CBS Mornings" this week was clearly out of desperation. Host Tony Dokoupil suggested at the outset of his Wednesday interview with Walz that Harris' "closing campaign message is all about unity" — a message possibly compromised by President Joe Biden's dehumanizing suggestion Tuesday that Americans who support President Donald Trump are "garbage." "I want to get your reaction to the president's comments, but I want to put it into a larger context of your recent comment comparing the Sunday Trump rally to a Nazi rally," said Dokoupil. "I would also throw in there Obama's bitter clingers, 'gun and religion' comment from a while back, the 'deplorable' line from Hillary Clinton's campaign, and the way that Democrats are seen by some voters as disrespecting them." 'They cling to guns or religion.' Dokoupil was referring to: Biden's Oct. 29, 2024, suggestion to Voto Latino that "the only garbage I see floating out there is [Trump's] supporters." Walz's Oct. 27, 2024, suggestion regarding Trump's Madison Square Garden campaign event Sunday that "there's a direct parallel to a big [Nazi] rally that happened in the mid-1930s at Madison Square Garden." Clinton's Sept. 9, 2016, suggestions at an expensive New York City event that "you could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables" and that "some of those folks — they are irredeemable, but thankfully, they are not America." Barack Obama's April 6, 2008, suggestion that working-class voters in Pennsylvania and the Midwest who were ambivalent about supporting him were "bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment." Dokoupil said, "I have to ask: Does that undercut this closing message of unity from your campaign?" Kamala Harris' running mate fired back, "No, certainly not." 'I think Vice — uh, President Biden — was very clear.' "I've represented rural areas. I've represented Democrats, Republicans, independents. Same thing with the vice president," said the Democratic governor, suggesting that Harris — who has demonized pro-life Americans, previously argued that traditional Catholics should be disqualified from judicial appointments, and told Christians at a recent campaign event that they were "at the wrong rally" — represented all Americans. "Look, you saw a presidential speech last night at the Ellipse that is the best of America," said Walz. "One that's talking about unifying us. One that's talking about bringing folks to the table." Walz quickly jettisoned the unity theme to accuse Trump of being divisive, to insinuate that the Republican president was somehow responsible for Biden's dehumanizing language, and to once again bend the truth, this time about Biden's "garbage" statement. "I think that the frustration we've seen since January 6, the frustration with Donald Trump's rhetoric of division, it does fire passions," continued Walz. "I think Vice — uh, President Biden — was very clear that he's speaking about the rhetoric we heard, and so it doesn't undermine it. People are hungry to come back together." Some revisionists on the left have similarly suggested that Biden's "garbage" remark was not directed at millions of Trump supporters, but instead at Trump's rhetoric. Politico, for instance, falsely reported that "Biden, in a Zoom call with the organization Vote Latino, said 'the only garbage' was the 'hatred' of Trump supporters who said such things about American citizens." Despite such rewrites of what happened, it is clear from the footage of Biden's remarks that he was unmistakably trashing Trump supporters. Americans might ultimately unite, just not in the way Walz is hoping. A recent MinnPost-Embold Research poll indicated that even in his home state, the race has tightened up, showing Harris leading Trump by only three points. According to the latest AtlasIntel poll, Trump is up two points nationally. Averaging recent polls, Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight polling outfit alternatively has Trump trailing by 1.4 points. Michigan secretary of state admits nationwide 'programming' issue with Dominion voting machine for people with disabilities

Dominion voting machines that allow access for people with disabilities have a "programming" issue that will affect nationwide voters, according to the Michigan secretary of state. Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson said that the machines would allow people to vote straight party ticket as usual, but if they wanted to vote for different parties in separate elections, the issue with the machines will make it a little more inconvenient. 'Voting clerks will have to inform voters with disabilities to make sure they have selected every section on the ballot.' The Dominion ICX Voter Assist Terminal helps people with disabilities pick out who they're voting for, prints out their ballot, and then the ballot is run through the tabulator. For straight-party ballots, the process will not be different than normal ballots. But others will have to go through extra steps. “Yeah, this is a nationwide issue with Dominion voter access terminals in, in the counties that use them in the voter access terminals,” Benson explained. “Of course, not all the machines, just the ones that are accessible have an issue. With the straight-party voting and a programming issue, that’s again affected the machines nationwide.” She went on to say that officials were upset to find out about this issue during the testing period but that voting clerks will have to inform voters with disabilities to make sure they have selected every section on the ballot. The programming issue cannot be fixed in time for Election Day, Benson said, and only affects certain VAT machines in some counties. But the issue should be corrected for future elections. Benson also said they are seeking "accountability" on why the issue was not discovered until early voting began. Dominion has been at the center of the debate over the official results of the 2020 election. Critics accused the company of changing votes in electronic voting machines to help elect President Joe Biden, but the company has denied the claims and has been able to settle defamation lawsuits against media companies that supported the accusations. Benson, a Democrat, made headlines when she warned county officials against trying to refuse to certify the results of the election. A portion of the media briefing with Benson can be viewed on the YouTube video from WLNS-TV. Like Blaze News? Pair of convicted pedophiles — one who raped, murdered 3-year-old girl — die on same night in same prison

Two convicted pedophiles died roughly within an hour of each other in an upstate New York prison last week. One of the inmates who was found dead was convicted of drugging, raping, and murdering a 3-year-old girl. According to the state's Department of Corrections, 34-year-old Robert Fisher was pronounced dead at approximately 1:50 a.m. Oct. 22 at the Elmira Correctional Facility in Chemung County.'He drugged her, went into her bedroom and raped her.'WRGB-TV reported that 59-year-old William Brand was pronounced dead at approximately 2:52 a.m. Oct. 22. The County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet announced the cause of death for either inmate. Both were admitted into the prison within the last month. Records indicate that Brand was admitted Oct. 10; Fisher was admitted Sept. 23.Fisher admitted to drugging, raping, and murdering 3-year-old Josefina Cunningham and was convicted of his crimes in July 2023. He was sentenced to 20 years to life in September.Rensselaer County Assistant District Attorney Antonia Edwards said during Fisher's sentencing, "The heinous acts of the defendant took Josie away from this world and this community. This community also deserves to know what horrible and vile acts this defendant committed and the absolute horror Josie met when she came home from day care on July 6, 2023, into July 7, 2023."Fisher used prescription drugs from Josefina's mother — Laquesha Cunningham — to drug the 3-year-old girl before raping her. “The defendant took the medication prescribed to Laquesha, crushed it up, and put it in a cup for Josie to drink. He drugged her, went into her bedroom and raped her,” Edwards said. “He did all of this while she was alive and awake; we only know that now because of the autopsy results."Edwards added, "Seeing the pictures of Josie's face after what the defendant did to her was mortifying. Those images will be ingrained into the minds forever for those who saw them."Brand was convicted of sexually abusing a child under the age of 11. The New York State Police said in a statement that Brand was arrested in April 2024 and charged with predatory sexual assault against a child, second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, and first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child. Authorities noted that Brand had inappropriate sexual contact multiple times with a child.Brand was serving a 10-year prison sentence. Like Blaze News?
