Biden Lies To Explain Why He Called Trump Supporters ‘Garbage’

President Joe Biden lied on Tuesday night while trying to explain why he called tens of millions of Americans who support former President Donald Trump “garbage.” “Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump’s supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage—which is the only word I can think of to describe it,” Biden claimed in a post on X. “His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable.” “That’s all I meant to say,” he continued. “The comments at that rally don’t reflect who we are as a nation.” Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump’s supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage—which is the only word I can think of to describe it. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That’s all I meant to say. The… — Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) October 30, 2024 However, Biden’s claims are false because that is not what Biden said when he made the remark. During a campaign call on Tuesday night, at approximately the same time that Vice President Kamala Harris delivered her final remarks to voters, Biden called Trump supporters “garbage.” “Donald Trump has no character,” Biden said. “He doesn’t give a damn about the Latino community.” MATT WALSH’S ‘AM I RACIST?’ NOW STREAMING ON DAILYWIRE+ “Just the other day, a speaker at his rally called Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage,” Biden continued, referencing remarks that were made at Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City over the weekend by an insult comedian. “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters,” Biden said. “His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it’s un-American. It’s totally contrary to everything we’ve done, everything we’ve been.” WATCH: President Joe Biden: “The only garbage I see floating out there is [Trump] supporters.” pic.twitter.com/9teSUOytqC — Steve Guest (@SteveGuest) October 30, 2024

1,200-Year-Old ‘Biscuit-Making’ Paw Prints Found by Archaeologists Suggest the Habit is Not Just for Modern Cats

The adorable feline phenomenon of ‘biscuit-making’ has taken social media by storm over the past few years, with some owners even going so far as dressing up their kitty in a baker’s hat and coat and filming them during their process. It’s adorable, and watching the cats go into their trance as they paw at blankets, couches, pillows, or stuffed animals (often shaped like baked goods), brings so much joy to parents and viewers alike. Recently, it was discovered that this habit is not specific to our modern-day housecats. A 1200-year-old jug fragment was found in Jerusalem by archaeologists, that has an imprint of a small cat’s biscuit-making endeavors, making it the oldest evidence we have of this behavior. The markings were noticed on the pottery fragment during post-excavation work in the laboratory by the lab director Gretchen Cotter. Dr. Shimon Gibson, an archaeologist at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, who co-directed the Mount Zion excavation that revealed the finding, shared that the team believes the print represents kneading rather than just a resting paw because the “claws were extended and left deep marks in the clay surface. We can only [imagine] that it was purring as it soaked up the Jerusalem sun.”1 It is suspected that the relaxed cat left its prints in a freshly made jug before it was kiln-fired and used to carry liquids such as water, wine, or olive oil. It appears that the jug’s surface was still wet and malleable at the time of the ‘biscuit-making’. A Claw-some Discovery An illustration of the kneading print. Image credit: Shimon Gibson, sourced from Live Science. All rights reserved to the copyright owners. The jug fragment with the kitty print was recovered from near the summit of the traditional Mount Zion on the southwestern hill at a site of an ancient residential quarter. Dr. Gibson explained that the archaeologist team was able to roughly date the jug fragment to the ninth century based on other findings of pottery that they reliably dated to be from the Abbasid period (A.D. 750 to 1258).2 This is not the first time archaeologists in the area have found evidence of cats in their excavations. Feline remains have been discovered dating back over 9000 years, and they have even found sculptures of cats dating back 10,000 years. “Pawprints exist in abundance,” said Dr. Gibson, “but not with evidence of claws and kneading.” The archaeologists also discovered numerous small fingerprints on pottery fragments, likely left by the potter’s children, who often helped attach jar handles, at the Mount Zion site. The jug fragment bearing the cat’s kneading print is currently being processed and will soon be handed over to Israeli authorities for further decisions on its preservation and display. Kneadless to Say, Humans Have Always Kneaded Their Kitty Companions Image Credit: Anna Hoychuk, Shutterstock There are many suggested reasons why a cat kneads, from comfort to showing love, with instinct generally being the top-inferred explanation. In discovering this 1200-year-old ancient paw print, we’re reminded that some of our favorite feline behaviors are in fact rooted in their history, transcending time and place. Kneading is more than just an adorable habit, it connects our beloved cats to their ancient ancestors and connects us to ours. Ultimately, these traces remind us of the timeless bond between humans and their biscuit-making kitty companions. How to Carve Out a Wooded Homestead

Searching for the perfect, and affordable, parcel of land for a prepper retreat or wooded homestead can be a very daunting task – and filled with a copious amount of variables. How To Turn Lonely Land Into A Dream Wooded Homestead Finding land that is almost perfect happens a lot, a whole lot. Seeking walk-onto-the-property perfection comes with a massive price tag. With a good eye, a discerning potential homesteader will easily be able to see the outstanding potential an incredibly affordable parcel of wooded acreage will ultimately provide. There is absolutely no reason to walk away from otherwise quality land simply because it is heavily wooded – such land may actually have a plethora of benefits! Easily accessible and abundant hidden resources abound on wooded land parcels, all of which a thrifty homesteader or prepper can harvest and utilize to subsist and to earn a sizable bit of extra cash to help defray the costs of clearing the land and setting up their dream farm. Wooded land can not only be turned into a viable homestead or bugout location, it nearly always comes at a bargain basement price. It does not take thousands upon thousands of dollars and tons of heavy equipment to clear enough of a wooded parcel of land to carve out quality and fully-functional homestead, off grid, or semi-off the grid, retreat. Focus on the three most important aspects for any type of farm: growing food, building a home, and raising livestock when plotting and planning what needs to be done on the land to make it work for your needs. Clearing a little bit at a time to create space for the essential aspects of homesteading and then continuing the work as both time and money permit – and specific needs present themselves, prevents the overall project from becoming a money pit and overwhelming. 1. Food Production |   After determining where the garden, barn, and home will be located, start clearing the least resistant portions of the land first. Removing brush and small trees to create a space for the growing of food should be the first step. Once the dense ground coverings and small trees are gone, only then will you have a complete view of the garden area and a better idea of the total growing space. Choose a location which can grow over time in anticipation of clearing more land for cultivating crops in future years. 2. Structure Building Make use of the natural resources at your disposal and build a home and barn from wood cut from the property. This kills two birds with one stone – clearing some land and providing a place for both you and the livestock to live. Learning how to plan your own wood and spending a few thousand dollars on a portable sawmill will make building a home and barn extremely economical – and comes with the pride of doing as much of the project as possible with your own two hands. 3. Tree Removal Select cut logging on a wooded homestead is not only a money-maker, but will cut down on wildfire fodder and allow smaller and younger trees to flourish. The path cut into the woods to reach the mature trees by loggers also the clearing of a wide swath of land in their path – making less work for you to do in the process. The smaller trees cut down to get to the larger ones make great firewood – and because they are already on the ground, there is less work to do once again.   Cut down the large trees in the garden space and cut the bounty into logs which can be later split for firewood. Stump removal is the most taxing aspect of clearing (or ‘grubbing’) wooded land. Stump can be pulled or burnt out, but both take time and extra money. Drilling multiple holes as deep as you can get in the stumps and pouring them with an equal parts mix of Epsom salt and water will ultimately rid the property of stumps as well. Typically tree stumps will take several weeks to two months to completely decompose. Possessing a piece of land with ample firewood not only save money but may offer a selling opportunity to help fund other necessary projects and purchases for the new homestead. If you hire a logging company to do some select cutting, part of the clearing work will be done for you – at a profit. 4. Large Livestock Cows need a significant amount of quality pasture to maintain their proper meat production weight and flourish. Goats, on the other hand, aren’t picky at all about their habitat. They love hilly terrain and will help with the clearing of brush significantly while filling their bellies. Goats will produce both meat and milk for the homestead. In future years, once more land is cleared, areas which are less steep can be cultivated into quality pasture and standard cows, or miniature cows and steers, like Dexter cattle, which require far less grazing space than their far larger peers, can also be added to the sustainable wooded prepper retreat or homestead. 5. Small Livestock Chickens and ducks can live happily together in a coop and run placed in any small opening that is not being used for growing crops. Allowing the flock to free range during the day negates the need for a large coop and run and puts the chicken and ducks to work for you by taking care of the bug population which wants to dine on your crops.   Turkeys also thrive in thick wooded areas. The second source of meat production will hold stock the pantry shelves whether the birds are allowed to remove free and hunted as needed or kept inside a fenced in area – complete with a poultry netter cover on the top. Chickens and ducks will do just fine on a wooded homestead as well. A man-made pond will satisfy the ducks, even if it is a small one if a natural pond or creek are not present on the property. 6. Predators image via devra from Wikimedia Commons Heavily wooded areas naturally boast more predators than most other types of terrain. Dogs and miniature donkeys will help keep foxes, rabbits, and coyotes away from your garden and poultry flocks. Guineas are known as the junkyard dogs of the poultry world and attack small predators, like mink and raccoons, and use their very loud clucking sounds to immediately alert you when any type of danger is present near their roosting spot – which should be near the chicken coop. They roost in trees at night but do like a hut of some type to use as a shelter as well. Feed the guineas near the coop every evening to keep them close and on guard all night. 7. Foraging The forest is filled with wild edibles. The added source of food makes a homestead more sustainable, a prepper retreat more worthwhile, and can even add a small money-making component to the wooded property. It would be almost impossible to starve on a wooded homestead once you learn what to look for and where it grows naturally on the property. 8. Tree Tapping image via benature.tv It is a common misconception that only Maple trees can be tapped for syrup. While Maple trees give the most common form of honey in abundance, nearly 25 other trees which commonly grow throughout the United States do as well. Odds are very good that many trees on a wooded homestead can be tapped for the sweet breakfast treat. Once again a wooded homesteader will likely have more syrup than necessary to share with the family and the abundant and readily available resource could be sold locally or online to earn some extra cash on a seasonal basis. 9. Hunting It is far easier to turn wooded acreage into quality pasture land than it is to turn a pasture into good woodlands. A heavily wooded homestead most likely will offer plenty of wildlife to hunt virtually year around. Depending upon where the land is located, seasonal hunting permits are available for deer, bear, wild boar, rabbits, raccoons, turkey, and waterfowl, exist. You could also purchase a breeding pair of pheasants or quail, or raise and release your own flock onto the property for future hunting opportunities for years to come – without having to spend time or money building them a habitat or purchasing feed to sustain the flock. 10. Beekeeping Beekeeping takes up little space and will enhance the growth of crops on the homestead. Selling the extra honey and beeswax for a profit will help the family budget for other needs around the wooded self-reliant retreat.   Honeybees raised on the wooded homestead will help your garden grow, provide honey, and wax for candle making, and offer yet another moneymaking opportunity to help sustain the homestead. Looking for an inspiration for your dream wooded homestead? Watch this video and be amazed! Starting a wooded homestead may require a bit of an adaption of your mind’s eye view of what a dream homestead or prepper retreat looks like, but the opportunities for a sustainable farm are just as attainable on a heavily wooded patch of land as they are on a highly manicured stretch of flat pasture! Scarborough's Sickening Hypocrisy on Trump's Springfield 'Political Prop'

Scarborough's Sickening Hypocrisy on Trump's Springfield 'Political Prop'

On Tuesday's Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough accused Donald Trump of using the death of an 11-year-old boy in Springfield, Ohio as a "political prop." We'll present the facts, and ask you: who is using that tragic death as a political prop: Donald Trump, or Joe Scarborough and the New York Times? As per this article, on August 22nd of this year: "Hermanio Joseph, 36, a Haitian immigrant who did not have a valid driver’s license when he crossed over the center line into the oncoming lane on state Route 41, striking a Northwestern school bus with his 2010 Honda Odyssey. The bus flipped on its top." Aiden Clark, aged 11, was killed, and dozens of other children on the bus were injured. Joseph was one of about 20,000 Haitian migrants who have flooded into Springfield in recent times, radically transforming the life of the town.  Among other things, there has been a rash of traffic accidents in the town. As per this article: "Longtime residents say the immigrants are getting temporary driving permits without having to learn how to drive safely in the US — or even knowing how to drive at all. There must be eight to 10 accidents a day here,” one resident who asked not to be named told The Post. I’ve seen cars drive up into buildings and onto sidewalks. I believe everyone deserves help, but we shouldn’t be providing cars and licenses until people know how to drive here safely.” Aiden wasn't the only Springfield resident to be killed by a Haitian immigrant driver. As per the New York Post article linked above, on December 1, 2023: "A Haitian migrant ran over and killed a 71-year-old grandmother. She was struck so violently that both her socks were left behind on the pavement as her body was thrown across the street. Debris littered the roadway, and clumps of hair were found in the car’s cracked windshield." For reasons that the prosecutors didn't disclose, the Haitian driver wasn't charged. Hermanio Joseph was arrested and charged. He was convicted and sentenced to a prison term of 9.5-13 years for "first-degree felony involuntary manslaughter and fourth-degree felony vehicular homicide." Scarborough accused Trump and JD Vance of using Aiden as a "political prop" because rather than saying that Joseph was convicted of "manslaughter" and "homicide," as he was, they said that Joseph committed "murder. " One week before the election, the New York Times ran an article on Aiden's death. The subtitle: "After Aiden Clark was killed in a school bus accident in Springfield, Ohio, his death inspired conspiracy theories, campaign lies and  anti-immigrant hate." Not only did the Times place the story on the front page, it devoted 5,300 words to it. That's the equivalent of about 20 book pages. Today's Morning Joe devoted a segment to the matter. Mika Brzezinski held the front page story, with its photo of the grieving parents, up to the camera. Scarborough twice instructed her not to take it down: "Hold that up, Mika . . . Hold -- keep that up." So you be the judge: who is using the death of Aiden Clark as a "political prop": Donald Trump, or Joe Scarborough and the New York Times? Note: Scarborough analogized Trump's handling of the Springfield story to the situation in which Trump had accused Scarborough, during his days as a congressman, of having had an affair with an aide and being responsible for her death. Scarborough said that Trump persisted in his allegations even after the widowed husband of the woman asked him to desist because it was causing continuing grief for him and the woman's parents. Scarborough introduced the matter by claiming that Trump's accusation "is not personal to me," but only to the woman's family. Raise your hand if you believe Scarborough. For that matter, wouldn't it be very strange if Scarborough didn't take being accused of adultery and homicide personally? Here's the transcript. MSNBC Morning Joe 10/28/24 6:07 am EDT MIKE BARNICLE: The front page of the New York Times today, back to Springfield, Ohio, has a story about the parents of Aiden Clark, an 11-year-old child, who died in a school bus accident when his school bus was hit by a Haitian immigrant who was here legally. And both Donald Trump and JD Vance have decided to call it a murder. And they call this young boy's life and death a murder. And the torture that his parents have endured and been put through, since the incident occurred several months ago, is horrendous. It has changed and altered and damaged the lives of the living. MIKA BRZEZINSKI: This is them sitting with their little boy's blanket, Joe. JOE SCARBOROUGH: And I, I, I -- hold that up, Mika. I can't imagine the pain those parents are going through. And then to watch their son, their child, used as a political prop, to be lied about. Making the pain worse.  And hold -- keep that up.  Because this is not personal to me. But this is personal to people I know. When Donald Trump decided to attack me because he didn't like my Covid coverage, and he lied about a woman who worked in my office, and claimed that we were involved, and, and that I had her killed. And her husband, the widowed husband, begged him to stop lying because of the excruciating pain that it put her parents through and put him through. The fact that he had not been able to move on for 20 years, 25years, because of the lies. They could not, they could not find rest or peace. And Donald Trump didn't care. He just kept doing it.

Stars call for border sanity at 'Line in the Sand' premiere

James O’Keefe looked out of his element at Mar-a-Lago last week. The undercover journalist sported a tuxedo, not a disguise, and everyone at the red carpet movie premiere knew who he was.'You don't see news correspondents really going to Mexico. You see some YouTubers ride the train, but we rode La Bestia, and you'll see that in the film.'O’Keefe’s “Line in the Sand,” showing exclusively on the Tucker Carlson Network, finds the muckraker outlining the atrocities along the U.S.-Mexico border by fusing his trademark undercover reportage with traditional storytelling methods. The results are chilling, unexpected, and raw. The documentary both evokes empathy for the wave of immigrants flooding into the country and outrage at the greed, corruption, and government excess that has kept the roiling tragedy alive so long.Truth socialThe screening attracted an eclectic group of supporters, including several MMA fighters, social media influencers, and Donald Trump’s second wife.MMA legend Tito Ortiz savaged the media for making a movie like "Line in the Sand" necessary. The narratives in the film stand in stark relief to border press coverage.“The mainstream media has been telling a lie for such a long time, and it's making people believe it. This is Psychology 101. This is, if you tell somebody a lie long enough, they think it's the truth. And, I mean, my mother's a victim of it herself,” Ortiz said. “She's a lifelong Democrat. I try to make her believe into the truth, but she believes what she sees on mainstream media.”The outspoken patriot said it’s crushing to watch the current administration turn his country from the land of opportunity to a free lunch free-for-all. “What [O’Keefe] has done is expose what is really happening and what’s going on in this country, and it’s heartbreaking for me,” he said.Evading capture"Line in the Sand" comes to us with an assist from Carlson, who created a new platform from scratch following his abrupt Fox News exit. This DIY strategy is something actress Sam Sorbo knows all about. Sorbo Studios, the production company she formed with husband/actor Kevin Sorbo, allows the canceled couple to make movies on their own terms.Such radical independence is "even more important these days because the media has so been captured,” Sorbo said. “That's a term that's new for us, but it's a term that applies now. And so what they're doing, branching out on their own in a hostile environment, even, is so difficult. And that's why I'm here supporting them.”Sorbo also praised "Line in the Sand" for opposing the Biden administration’s open-border policies.“We're left with millions of people here in the country illegally, people we don't know, people who have not been vetted, and an extraordinary surge in child sex trafficking that is untold,” she said.Risky businessO’Keefe, who lovingly steered his parents down the red carpet, called the documentary a “long-form” version of his undercover stings. He added that he hopes to remind Americans of the vital importance of genuine investigative journalism, something too few news outlets are willing to invest in.“I think that there really isn't any investigative journalism really out there. There's a lot of podcasts, but not a lot of journalism. It's very expensive. It's very risky, a lot of liability associated, a lot of danger associated with it,” said O’Keefe, who put his own safety on the line to capture the footage found in "Line in the Sand."“You don't see news correspondents really going to Mexico. You see some YouTubers ride the train, but we rode La Bestia, and you'll see that in the film.”The train in question lets illegal immigrants hop aboard and travel through Mexico toward the U.S. border.Ex-factorMarla Maples, visiting an old haunt from her days as Trump’s wife, said "Line in the Sand" puts the emphasis where it belongs: on the vulnerable children most affected by the border chaos, ripped away from their families or plunged into the nightmare of human trafficking. The film’s mid-section explores this frightening reality. It’s why she went back to Mar-a-Lago on a muggy fall day. She also defended her former husband from a non-stop Hitler comparisons.I've known Donald Trump since I was 20 years old. We went to church. His daughter converted to Judaism. He has Jewish children. I study from the Torah, and I study the teachings of Christ. He's always supported that. For my daughter's wedding, we did a Torah session. We did a Shabbat here at the wedding for all those that were Jewish and supported all of that. So again, it's a false narrative to try and take away his ability to help America and help the people.Joy in the fightSinger Joy Villa had Trump’s back virtually from the jump. And she stood there mostly alone, at least in celebrity circles.“When I came out [as a Trump supporter], nobody was out in a very public way at the Grammys,” she recalled. “I was fed up. I felt like Madonna can come out and say, ‘I'm gonna wear a pussy hat and let's kill the president.’“And I'm like, ‘Wait. I live in Hollywood and I'm pro-Trump. Why am I not represented?’ And everyone loves to fight for, oh, black rights, Latino rights, which I'm black and Latino,” she said. “And it's not about that. It's about what do we think. Not just how we look.”That was then. These days, figures as far afield as Dr. Phil and Dennis Quaid are openly supporting the former (and future?) president.“Now we have an outpouring of support for Donald Trump in the public eye. It's incredible,” she said. That matters in her eyes.“There's really good people out there who are feeling like they can't speak up or they'll fear for their lives, their livelihood, their jobs, all of that,” she said. “So when celebrities do speak up ... it makes the little guy less afraid.”
