With the election eight days away, Comedy Central decided to contribute to the Democratic campaign on Monday with a special episode of The Daily Show called Rally Together, where they sent Jordan Klepper to a series of Donald Trump rallies for the purpose of making his supporters look as dumb as possible. Klepper is The Daily Show’s resident man on the street, but this time he decided to bring some friends. First, Klepper stopped in Detroit with actor and playwright Jeremy O. Harris and, before entering the rally, asked him what he expected, “A week ago, Trump dogged Detroit. He said if Kamala gets in office, every city’s going to look like Detroit, pejoratively. How do you think that’ll resonate here?” Harris replied that Trump supporters get some sort of sexual satisfaction out of being humiliated, “I think they’ll love it. I think it’s like when Matt Rife makes fun of your wife. You know what I mean? It’s like [laughs], I mean, not for me, but for that audience, right. Someone who wants, like, you know to be negged.” Klepper agreed, “It’s like a cuck audience.”     It was a sentiment Harris was keen to echo, “Yeah, it’s a cuck audience. It’s a real cuck audience,” to which Klepper piled on, “I haven’t thought of it that way, but that makes a lot of fucking sense.” When it came time to interview the rally attendees, Harris complained to a black woman, “Trump just said today that all of the stuff about America being built on the back of slaves, this being stolen land, if that’s in a textbook, he’s taking it out. I wrote a play called Slave Play, I can’t teach my own play in parts of Virginia and in parts of Florida because of, like, Republican lies around how our country was founded.” Teaching about slavery is not banned anywhere, so Harris is either woefully misinformed—which is ironic because the entire point was to show how uniformed Trump fans are—or his play is politicized history pretending to be factual. As Harris was reflecting on his time at the rally, he declared, “I actually feel worried for America.” Klepper used that to transfer to his second rally and fearmonger, “And there’s plenty to be worried about. In the wake of the Dobbs decision and JD Vance’s crusade against childless cat ladies, critics fear a second Trump term would be a Handmaid’s Tale dystopia, although Trump says he’ll be great ladies.” He then introduced his new guests who are not ones for subtlety, “So, next up, Latrobe, Pennsylvania, and I figured I’d bring some friends who don’t buy the whole protector narrative, Corinne Fisher and Krystyna Hutchinson, host of the sex-positive, anti-slut shaming podcast, Guys We Fucked.” At the rally, Hutchinson asked, “What do you think about women’s rights, like a woman's right to choose what to do with her body?” A series of women Trump supporters affirmed that they are pro-life, with one claiming, “It should not be a form of birth control.” Hutchinson claimed, “I’ve never met a woman that uses abortion as birth control.” Then what is the point of phrases like “reproductive freedom” or telling stories about women getting abortions because they do not believe they financially support a child? Additionally, the main problem with Klepper’s interviews is viewers have no way of knowing how many people he talked to versus how many The Daily Show puts on screen. The woman Harris was questioning would later go on to say the moon landing was probably faked, and later in the show, another Trump supporter would claim the government can control the weather. Those are not representative of the tens of millions of people who will vote for him, but showing them allows The Daily Show’s liberal audience to feel better about themselves. A Catholic group released an eye-opening new ad revealing Kamala Harris' previous support for an "anti-Catholic hate group" and suggesting she harbors anti-Christian antipathy more generally.On Monday, CatholicVote released the video ad featuring a photo of Harris posing with two drag queens from the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence at an LGBTQ-themed celebration in San Francisco in 2019. In the photo, Harris grins from ear to ear as she stands between longtime SPI member Michael Williams, aka "Sister Roma," and San Francisco transgender activist James Mitchell, aka "Saint Honey Mahogany," CatholicVote claimed.'Kamala Harris does not care about Christians in this country.'"Why is Kamala Harris posing with the founder of an anti-Catholic hate group?" a voice-over begins. "They mock our faith."The ad then includes footage of members of SPI conducting sexual performances on sacred Christian symbols, including the cross."For Catholics, it’s hard to imagine anything more offensive," the voice of Bishop Robert Barron says."Kamala Harris does not care about Christians in this country," another male voice adds.The ad closes by encouraging all Christians to vote this year to prevent Harris from acceding to the highest office in the land. "Christians can't stay home November 5," the voice-over says as the message "Reject Harris" flashes on screen.In a statement, CatholicVote President Brian Burch referred to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence as "a 'drag' troupe whose whole purpose is to mock and harass Catholics."Not only do their costumes and makeup attack innocent and faithful nuns, Burch claimed, but SPI then routinely blasphemes Jesus, the Virgin Mary, and Christianity in general by hosting "Hunky Jesus" competitions during which drag queens "perform stripteases, simulate sex acts, and mock the crucifixion."Harris' appearance with the blasphemous drag queens is hardly the only time she has demonstrated anti-Catholic animus. In 2018, then-Sen. Harris grilled Brian Buescher, nominated to the federal bench by President Donald Trump, for his membership in the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic men's charitable organization.During her line of questioning, Harris repeatedly implied that Buescher's association with the Knights of Columbus — which embraces Catholic teaching on abortion and marriage — meant he was unfit to serve.The Biden-Harris administration has also engaged in ruthless lawfare against Christians who protest peacefully near abortion clinics, sending some to prison for years. The administration even targeted the Little Sisters of the Poor — a group of actual Roman Catholic nuns who dedicate their lives to serving Christ by assisting the elderly and vulnerable — over their moral objection to contraception.Just last week, NBC News’ Hallie Jackson asked Harris whether she supported any restrictions on abortion, including "religious exemptions" ostensibly for performing abortions. Tom Brady caused a stir with fans and media members who took offense to him using the term "spaz" when describing the way Josh Allen used to play.Brady was in the commentary booth with announcer Kevin Burkhardt during the Buffalo Bills’ 31-10 victory over the Seattle Seahawks Sunday afternoon. It was only about 13 minutes into the game when the former player started to rain praise on Buffalo's star quarterback."You really begin to take total ownership of the team as a leader in the workouts, in the offseason," Brady said on Fox. Hurricane Helene coverage might be dwindling in the mainstream media, but Blaze News investigative journalist Steve Baker isn’t giving up on the victims. “I actually met with the primary director here on the ground of FEMA,” Baker, who’s on the ground in North Carolina, tells Jill Savage and Matthew Peterson of “Blaze News Tonight.” And what he’s found is “interesting.” “There is absolutely incontrovertible evidence that FEMA has a much larger footprint on the ground in the disaster zone here. They have ten disaster relief centers already set up. They now have a massive warehouse with just thousands of pallets of dry goods, of drinks of water, all types of humanitarian aid and needs that are required to be delivered,” Baker explains. “Yet all of the people also on the ground, working in these distant remote communities, never see them,” he adds. Baker, who’s been working in two of the worst-hit areas in North Carolina, has seen “no FEMA.” “Zero. Not one sign of them. So they have more goods, they have more services, they have more people,” he says. “They dwarf everyone else’s operations; we just don’t know where they’re delivering everything.” When Baker did get a chance to speak with someone from FEMA, that individual's response was not comforting. “I asked him, ‘Why are we not seeing the government agencies, federal agencies, state, local, county, whatever, out at these recovery sites?'" Kamala Harris suggested at her embarrassing CNN town hall last week that President Donald Trump is a fascist — her rhetorical capstone to a years-long campaign to characterize the Republican as both a threat to democracy and a suitable target for lawfare or worse. Her running mate soon joined liberal media propagandists likening Trump and his supporters, including a Holocaust survivor, to the Nazis of yesteryear. The Democratic National Committee lent a helping hand, projecting Nazi accusations outside Trump's Sunday rally at Madison Square Garden. Democrats and their allies in the media have long employed Nazi and fascist analogies to defame, discredit, and isolate political opponents such as Barry Goldwater, President Ronald Reagan, President George W. Bush, and former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker. These historically illiterate smears have not only served to spike rigorous debate, increase political polarization, and minimize the evils perpetrated by Adolf Hitler and his forces but have also proven largely ineffective. A super PAC supporting Harris recently acknowledged as much. Future Forward USA Action, touted earlier this month by the New York Times as "an ad-making laboratory" with a $700 million war chest, suggested in an email to Democrats regarding effective campaign messaging that playing up the Trump-as-fascist fiction in the final stretch before Election Day is a strategic blunder. The New York Times indicated that the email noted in bold type, "Attacking Trump's Fascism Is Not That Persuasive." Another line said, "'Trump Is Exhausted' Isn't Working." 'No wonder they're in hysterics.' "Purely negative attacks on Trump's character are less effective than contrast messages that include positive details about Kamala Harris's plans to address the needs of everyday Americans," said the email. According to Future Forward, Harris' suggestion that Trump is a fascist at her CNN town hall was only in "the 40th percentile on average for moving vote choice." She apparently would have been better off discussing Medicare expansion to include in-home care for geriatrics as she did previously on Howard Stern's show, which tested in the 95th percentile. The trouble for Harris — besides the late notice about the inefficacy of her go-to smear — is that attacking Trump is easier than defending her record or her vision for America. Even in those instances in which she has a policy to promote that she did not copy and paste from the defunct Biden campaign, such as the taxation policy she instead copied and pasted from the Trump campaign, Harris trips over her own tongue and into what Democratic strategist David Axelrod recently called "word salad city." Facing such difficulties, ad hominem attacks might be the easier alternative, even if ineffective. While the core sales pitch — Trump is bad — has remained the same throughout, the Times noted that Harris' team has tried some variations since the Democratic National Convention: Ms. Harris's team had made it clear immediately after the Democratic National Convention that they planned to switch from the message that President Biden had used most, that Mr. Trump is a unique threat to the country. They argued that making Mr. Trump smaller in the minds of voters was crucial. In her convention speech, she called him an "unserious man" but warned that restoring him to power would have "extremely serious" consequences. Judging from recent polls, the "unserious man" line of attack didn't work. This might account for why Harris went back to smearing Trump as "unhinged, unstable," and ultimately a fascist, blowing $10 million on a recent ad claiming the Republican is "too big a risk for America" — an ad that Future Forward indicated fared poorly. Future Forward's email warned, "Focusing on Trump’s disturbing, ludicrous and outlandish behavior can be an effective lead-in to talking about substantive policy, but is not effective at moving vote choice on its own." The weakness of Democrats' Nazi strategy is not exactly a well-kept secret. In 2018, privacy lawyer and journalist Allan Richarz penned an op-ed for The Hill, stressing that "overwrought comparisons to the Nazis are both historically illiterate and an extreme strategic misstep." Richarz warned that by branding Trump a Nazi, Democrats had committed to continuous escalation and a weakening of language. "Now that Trump is 'actually Hitler,' any compromise by Democrats will be viewed as kowtowing to fascism. Conversely, sticking with the Nazism line of attack cheapens its effect and, frankly, makes its proponents come off as a little more than unhinged, something perhaps already at play given that a Gallup poll has put Trump at his highest approval rating to date," wrote Richarz. Jay Cost, a Gerald R. Ford nonresident senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, noted, "Always a sign of struggle when the Super PAC has to yell at the campaign, but can only do it legally via the media." David Reaboi, fellow at the Claremont Institute, responded to the Times report, tweeting, "This is insanity. Kamala spent over $10M on ads focused on 'Trump is Hitler/Fascist,' and her largest Super PAC said they barely moved the needle, if at all. No wonder they're in hysterics." Like Blaze News? This election season has been stuffed full of cringe-worthy moments, but Vice President Kamala Harris has overtaken all contenders with this latest entry into the contest. 'That was just so awkward. It was painfully awkward to even watch.'Harris was speaking before a number of supporters in Ann Arbor, Michigan, when they began chanting her name. The presidential candidate attempted to make a point about their individual efforts when she made a bizarre request. “Now I want each of you to shout your own name. Do that!” she said and laughed maniacally. The crowd paused and quieted in confusion. "Cuz it's all about all of us!" she said in the uncomfortable silence. "It's all about all of us!" Video of the moment spread far and wide on social media, where it was met with hilarious ridicule. Just one post of the video garnered 5.4 million views on its own. "She cannot control a crowd," replied commentator Collin Rugg. "To her credit, she never deserved to be in this position. She was installed.""I honestly thought Hillary was the least likeable candidate ever in all our history, but I do believe Kamala has taken the title away from her," read another response. "This has to be the most embarrassing moment I’ve ever seen at a political rally. I feel bad for her campaign staff. This is not what you want happening 7 days before an election," said another critic. "That was just so awkward. It was painfully awkward to even watch. Ouch," read another tweet. Despite a triple-A budget, a team full of incredibly-experienced developers, and a generous offering of content at launch, Concord somehow became one of the biggest videogame flops of all time. The hero shooter was pulled offline after just a couple of weeks following dismal player counts, but at the time there seemed to be a shred of hope that it may return in a new form - likely as a free-to-play version of what originally was a $40 release.
