Networks Tickled Pink Biden-Harris Justice Dept. Has Sights Set on Elon Musk

On Thursday, the major broadcast network morning news shows were eager to share through anonymous sources that the Joe Biden and Kamala Harris Justice Department (DOJ) has officially put Tesla founder and X owner Elon Musk on notice with the claim his daily $1 million giveaway to registered voters in seven swing states might be deemed illegal. In turn, for the left, there’s hope alive for the DOJ to subject Musk to a criminal investigation. CBS has been by far the most aggressive with coverage all week on this. CBS Mornings co-host Nate Burleson cued up the latest Musk segment by sharing “CBS News has confirmed a Justice Department warning to Musk’s super PAC” originally reported by CNN. Unfortunately, I'm here to report the liberal media are still at it, trying to have the Biden-Harris DOJ crack down on @TheAmericaPAC and @ElonMusk pic.twitter.com/FAp8RJjFw2 — Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) October 24, 2024 Senior business correspondent Jo-Ling Kent touted the anti-free speech and Musk-hating group Public Citizen as a “non-partisan advocacy group” concerned about this (click “expand”): We confirmed that the DOJ has sent a letter in the last few days to Elon Musk’s America PAC, basically warning that the $1 million checks he’s giving to registered voters may violate federal law. The world’s richest man is randomly selecting seven voters in battleground states who sign a petitection [sic] supporting the First and Second Amendments. And, so far, the PAC has given out four sweepstastyle checks like those, three in Pennsylvania, and one in Holly Springs, North Carolina. And this DOJ warning apparently comes from the section of the agency that investigates election-related legal violations and the DOJ itself has declined to comment. And now the nonpartisan advocacy group Public Citizen has weighed in, they’ve filed an FEC complaint, requesting an investigation as well.  Now, the federal election law says it is a crime to pay anyone to vote or register to vote and legal scholars that we’ve been talking to say this appears to be a clear violation, but it could be interpreted in a gray area, since Musk is asking people to sign a petition. Now, Musk himself has already poured $75 million into his own PAC to get Trump voters to the polls. We expect to see more money poured in, in these final two weeks. And, of course, if you’re on X — you’re seeing it — Musk, who owns what is formerly Twitter has been promoting Trump to his 200 million-plus followers and, of course, was promised a prominent role in a second Trump White House last month. Now, we’ve reached out to Musk and his PAC for comment on the DOJ letter and they have not gotten back to us[.] NBC’s Today was also on the warpath. Co-host Savannah Guthrie declared in a tease that the regime had put Musk “on notice....warning [him] about his cash giveaway offer to swing-state voters.” Saturday co-host and senior legal correspondent Laura Jarrett had the story that the millions “have caught the attention of the U.S. Justice Department” and “raising new legal questions this morning for the tech giant” (i.e. leftists and Harris allies). “The super PAC promising that prize money to people who pledge their support for First and Second Amendment rights, but in order to get the money, you have to be registered to vote in one of seven swing states, prompting legal scrutiny by some Democrats,” she added in a lead-in to Governor Josh Shapiro (D-PA) calling for a probe. Admirably, Jarrett pointed out voter registration recently closed in Pennsylvania and let an unidentified election law expert suck some air out of the leftist balloon by stating “it’s unlikely that they would prosecute” Musk, but the letter’s “a shot across the bow.” ABC’s idolatrous Trump hater Rachel Scott took a few moments out of her Good Morning America segment fawning over former Trump chief of staff John Kelly’s wild claims about the former President being a fascist and Adolf Hitler enthusiast to tut-tut about Musk being in trouble: Musk is under scrutiny for his promise to give $1 million to registered voters who sign his political organization’s petition. He’s already handed out four checks...Sources tell ABC News the Justice Department has sent a letter warning Musk that his giveaway may violate federal law against paying voters. And Pennsylvania is one of though critical battlegrounds where Elon Musk handed out one of those checks. The governor in that state saying that law enforcement should be looking into this. Of course, she made sure to bring that up again in the second hour. The Wednesday night newscasts were also giddy about their friends getting involved. Jarrett also covered much of this on NBC Nightly News, hyping that Musk has “earned the attention of the Justice Department” and touting senior Washington correspondent Hallie Jackson asking Harris about it while traveling with her campaign. Meanwhile, CBS congressional correspondent Nikole Killion ended her CBS Evening News piece on the John Kelly hubbub by boasting that “CBS News has learned that the Justice Department has sent a letter to a super PAC run by one of Trump's biggest backers, Elon Musk. The DOJ says that a recent $1 million giveaway to registered voters to sign a petition could violate federal law.” CBS has taken particular fascination with this. Even after the Monday morning giddiness hoping Musk faces prison time, they’ve kept it up all week. Monday’s CBS Evening News had anchor Norah O’Donnell huffing that “Musk’s endgame” with the contest has “unanswered questions.” Kent suggesting nefariousness, attacking Musk since his “companies SpaceX and Tesla have benefited from billions in federal government grants and contracts” and claimed “[n]early 60 percent” of his election posts on X “amplified false or misleading information, including unsubstantiated conspiracies.” Kent came back for Tuesday’s CBS Mornings and complained “Musk will likely not be prosecuted because..it might not make a big difference this close to the election,” a step back from what a liberal election law guest floated on previous day’s CBS Mornings Plus. PBS on Trump Campaign: 'Spent Time Sowing Fear Around Transgender Americans'

The PBS News Hour led off two nights in a row with campaign trail reports from Laura Barron-Lopez, their most partisan reporter. Anchor Geoff Bennett set the scene Monday evening, with Donald Trump in North Carolina on a post-hurricane Helene trip and Kamala Harris touring with former Republican congresswoman and famed anti-Trumper Liz Cheney. The story’s online headline did much of the work: “Harris campaigns with Liz Cheney as Trump again deploys dark and anti-immigrant rhetoric.” Laura Barron-Lopez cooed over and hyped up the bipartisan love-fest. PBS Reporter Laura Barron-Lopez: The Democratic nominee for president campaigned with unlikely company today, Republicans….Vice President Kamala Harris spent the day in moderated conversations with former Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney, starting in Pennsylvania….It's the latest in a string of unprecedented events Harris has held with Republican figures like Cheney. The pair then made their way to Michigan for another event. The reportorial tone changed rather drastically when the focus shifted to Trump in North Carolina touring storm damage. Barron-Lopez: ….the former president again deployed dark and anti-immigrant rhetoric in Greenville, North Carolina. Trump: Under the Trump administration we are going to take back what is ours. We will end the looting, ransacking, raping and pillaging of North Carolina and, frankly, every other state in the union. Barron-Lopez continued the desperate media pile-on around what was evidently an effective campaign stop by Donald Trump, manning a McDonald’s fry-station in Pennsylvania. Barron-Lopez: On Sunday, Trump scooped French fries and served fast-food to staged customers at a Pennsylvania McDonald's. The political stunt comes as Trump has accused Harris, without any evidence, of lying about her college job at a McDonald's. On the same day, in an interview with FOX News, Trump again described Democrats like Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi as enemies from within After talking about Trump’s odd tangent on Arnold Palmer’s physique and his calling Harris a “shit Vice President,” Barron-Lopez concluded with this ironic bit: Barron-Lopez: In an MSNBC interview with Al Sharpton on Sunday, Harris said the American people deserve better. Harris: And what you see in my opponent, a former president of the United States, really is -- it demeans the office. And I have said, and I'm very clear about this, Donald Trump should never again stand behind the seal of the president of the United States. He has not earned the right. Hmm. Perhaps America could also use a president who won’t grant interviews to racial arsonists like Sharpton? Barron-Lopez also led the PBS News Hour newscast the following Tuesday evening, with a report that began objectively but quickly descended into fear-mongering. Barron-Lopez: Former President Donald Trump received a warm response from Latino business owners and religious leaders at his golf club in Miami. Trump again used dark language to describe the state of the country. Trump: We are a nation in decline. We're a failing nation. We're left out all over the world. No matter where you go, they laugh at us. They can't even believe what's happening. Barron-Lopez:… and spent time sowing fear around transgender Americans. The Trump clip aired sounded reasonable enough. Trump: All they think about is transgender operations. All they think about is, we want men -- we want men to play in women's sports. There's a sickness going on in our country. We have to end the sickness. Commercial narrator: It sounds insane. Barron-Lopez: In the final sprint to Election Day, Republicans have poured millions of dollars into anti-trans attack ads that target Democrats up and down the ballot. Commercial narrator: Kamala's agenda is they/them, not you. Yet the party’s obsession with LGBT issues is a genuine electoral problem for Democrats, as party pollster Celinda Lake told The New Yorker: “People believe that we are constantly bringing it up, that we care about it more than the economy.” Harris indeed noted her support for transgender surgery for federal inmates on a 2019 candidate questionnaire sponsored by the ACLU while she was running for president, a fact PBS didn’t bother to mention, desperate as the tax-funded network is to normalize such surgeries, even for teenagers. These segments were brought to you in part by BNSF Railway. Transcripts are available, click “Expand.” PBS News Hour 10/21/24 7:03:08 p.m. (ET) Geoff Bennett: Welcome to the "News Hour." As we near the two-week mark to Election Day, former President Donald Trump traveled to North Carolina to see the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, while Vice President Kamala Harris toured swing states alongside former Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney. Laura Barron-Lopez has this report. Laura Barron-Lopez: The Democratic nominee for president campaigned with unlikely company today, Republicans. Kamala Harris, Vice President of the United States (D) and U.S. Presidential Candidate: This election is presenting for the first time probably in certainly recent history a very clear choice and difference between the two nominees. And I think that is what, as much as anything, is bringing us as Americans together. Laura Barron-Lopez: Vice President Kamala Harris spent the day in moderated conversations with former Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney, starting in Pennsylvania. Fmr. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY): I have spent time working in countries where people aren't free and where people are struggling for their freedom. And I know how quickly democracies can unravel. But I tell you again as someone who has seen firsthand how quickly it can happen that that is what's on the ballot. Laura Barron-Lopez: It's the latest in a string of unprecedented events Harris has held with Republican figures like Cheney. The pair then made their way to Michigan for another event. Kamala Harris: What is at stake in this election is so fundamental that it really does cross partisan lines. Laura Barron-Lopez: Meanwhile, Harris' running mate, Governor Tim Walz, spent the morning with the hosts of "The View." Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN), Vice Presidential Candidate: Nothing Donald Trump is proposing does anything about the middle class. And every economist, Moody's themselves, talked about what it would do to drive up inflation, potentially leading us to recession. So there's more work to be done. We acknowledge that. I think the vice president's proposals are real. Laura Barron-Lopez: Former President Donald Trump was in Swannanoa, NOAA, North Carolina to tour storm damage from the recent hurricane. Donald Trump, Former President of the United States (R) and Current U.S. Presidential Candidate: But it's vital that we not let this hurricane that has taken so much also take your voice. You must get out and vote. Laura Barron-Lopez: Trump repeated baseless claims about the federal government's response to the disaster. Donald Trump: Certainly, you have all heard the same stories that we all hear, that FEMA has done a very poor job. They were not supposed to be spending the money on taking in illegal migrants, maybe so they could vote in the election, because that's a lot of people are saying that's why they're doing it. Laura Barron-Lopez: Later, the former president again deployed dark and anti-immigrant rhetoric in Greenville, North Carolina. Donald Trump: Under the Trump administration we are going to take back what is ours. We will end the looting, ransacking, raping and pillaging of North Carolina and, frankly, every other state in the union. Laura Barron-Lopez: On Sunday, Trump scooped french fries and served fast-food to staged customers at a Pennsylvania McDonald's. The political stunt comes as Trump has accused Harris, without any evidence, of lying about her college job at a McDonald's. On the same day, in an interview with FOX News, Trump again described Democrats like Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi as enemies from within. Howard Kurtz, FOX News Anchor: You talk about the enemy within. There's enemies, America's enemies, outside. Donald Trump: Yes. Howard Kurtz: The enemy within is a pretty ominous phrase, if you're talking about other Americans. Donald Trump: I think it's accurate. I mean, I think it's accurate. But when you look at "Shifty" Schiff and some of the others, yes, they are, to me, the enemy from within. And I think Nancy Pelosi is an enemy from within. She lied. Laura Barron-Lopez: It's rhetoric Trump used against fellow Americans on a podcast days earlier. Donald Trump: They were saying, he said the enemy from within. Of course. It's Adam Schiff. These are bad people. These are sick people and bad people. Laura Barron-Lopez: Speaker of the House Mike Johnson deflected when asked on CNN this weekend if Trump's vows to use the National Guard against political enemies was OK. Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA): What President Trump is talking about is that they have been attacking and maligning him from the day he came down that golden escalator. Everybody knows that's true Laura Barron-Lopez: At a rally on Saturday in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, hometown of the golf legend Arnold Palmer, the former president started talking about the late golfer's genitalia. Donald Trump: Arnold Palmer was all man. And I say that in all due respect to women. And I love women. He took showers with the other pros. They came out of there and they said, oh, my God. Laura Barron-Lopez: At the same rally, Trump used an expletive when talking about Vice President Harris. Donald Trump: We can't stand you. You're a (Expletive) vice president. Laura Barron-Lopez: In an MSNBC interview with Al Sharpton on Sunday, Harris said the American people deserve better. Kamala Harris: And what you see in my opponent, a former president of the United States, really is -- it demeans the office. And I have said, and I'm very clear about this, Donald Trump should never again stand behind the seal of the president of the United States. He has not earned the right. * PBS News Hour 10/22/24 7:03:04 p.m. (ET) Geoff Bennett: Welcome to the "News Hour." Two weeks from today, the final votes will be cast and the polls will close in this year's presidential race. Until then, the Trump and Harris campaigns are making their cases in battleground states across the country. Laura Barron-Lopez has this report. Laura Barron-Lopez: Both presidential nominees made appeals to a critical voting bloc today, Latino voters. Donald Trump, Former President of the United States (R) and Current U.S. Presidential Candidate: The level of genius, entrepreneurship, energy that they have, it's an incredible community and, I like them and they like me. Laura Barron-Lopez: Former President Donald Trump received a warm response from Latino business owners and religious leaders at his golf club in Miami. Trump again used dark language to describe the state of the country… Donald Trump: We are a nation in decline. We're a failing nation. We're left out all over the world. No matter where you go, they laugh at us. They can't even believe what's happening. Laura Barron-Lopez: … and spent time sowing fear around transgender Americans. Donald Trump: All they think about is transgender operations. All they think about is, we want men — we want men to play in women's sports. There's a sickness going on in our country. We have to end the sickness. Narrator: It sounds insane. Laura Barron-Lopez: In the final sprint to Election Day, Republicans have poured millions of dollars into anti-trans attack ads that target Democrats up and down the ballot. Narrator: Kamala's agenda is they/them, not you. Laura Barron-Lopez: The former president also repeated attacks on his opponent's intelligence, criticizing Vice President Harris for not doing any public events today. Donald Trump: She's lazy as hell, and she's got that reputation. And there's something wrong with her too. She's slow, low-I.Q., something. I don't know what the hell it is. Laura Barron-Lopez: Vice President Harris had staff meetings and briefings in D.C., before giving interviews to Telemundo and NBC.

Charlamagne tha God wakes up: Democrats LYING about Trump's threat to democracy

When Joe Biden was running for president in 2020, he told Charlamagne tha God on "The Breakfast Club" that if you didn’t vote for him, “You ain’t black.” Whether or not that exchange stuck with Charlamagne, whether or not he plans to vote for Kamala Harris or Donald Trump, it does appear that he may be changing his perspective on who Trump is and what he stands for. This was made clear when Charlamagne interviewed Lara Trump on his popular show. “If you look back at Donald Trump’s history, you know, last night we were at the Al Smith Dinner, and he was right there next to Chuck. And he said to Chuck Schumer, who’s obviously a Democrat senator, he said, ‘I gave Chuck his first check ever,’” Lara tells the radio host. “I don’t like the optics of that,” Charlamagne responded. “The only reason I say I don’t like the optics of that is because when you hear people like Chuck Schumer say things like ‘Trump is a threat to Democracy,’ but then you’re sitting next to him yukking it up, why would you be yukking it up with somebody who you consider a threat to democracy?” “Well, you have to ask yourself that question, don’t you?” Lara answered. “Maybe it’s all scare tactics; maybe it’s a lot of fearmongering. Charlamagne, what I can tell you is I know Donald Trump. I have known him for 16 years, and Chuck Schumer’s known him a lot longer than I have, and I think he knows full well he’s not a threat to democracy.” “You don’t even have to take my word for it,” she continued, adding, “Look at what he did when he was in the White House.” Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report” is thrilled with this exchange. “The reason I love that clip is that I think, really, what’s happening here, outside of like the purely political part, is the veneer is just being pulled back or the curtain is being pulled back and we’re all seeing how the game is played,” Rubin says. “No one really believes that Chuck Schumer hates Donald Trump or at least thinks he’s Hitler,” he adds. Harris-Walz is the most RADICAL ticket in US history — here’s the unfortunate proof

We all know Kamala Harris and Tim Walz themselves hold radically leftist views — specifically surrounding abortion. But after a deeper look into whom they’ve hired to work in their campaign and administrations, it only gets worse. “The new appointee for Harris’ campaign, she’s a global warming extremist that says, ‘If you are in the oil and gas business at all, you’re a terrorist,’” Glenn Beck of the “Glenn Beck Program” warns. This extremist is Camila Thorndike, and she’s the climate engagement director. “She is somebody who is so extreme on global warming. She doesn’t like capitalism, she doesn’t like oil and gas or anything like that, so why would she join the Kamala Harris campaign?” he asks, noting that Harris has publicly flip-flopped on issues like fracking. Harris’ team has also hired Brian Lazinski as the education czar. “He’s actually one of the people helping implement the framework or curriculum for the new ethnic studies standards in the state of Minnesota,” Glenn explains. “Remember you were told by the propaganda machine that CRT is nothing?” “Remember, this came in under Biden-Harris, this came into our schools. They didn’t dare release it under Donald Trump, but they put it into our schools after the election,” he says. In a recording Glenn obtained, Lazinski — who has been working under Minnesota governor and VP pick Walz — explains that critical race theory is not “about telling our stories” but rather about overthrowing the system. “You can’t be a critical race theorist and be pro-U.S. It is an anti-state theory that says the United States needs to be deconstructed, period,” the new education czar said, adding, “That’s why I’m a critical racist.” Stu Burguiere of “Stu Does America” is concerned by what he’s just heard. “Oh, that’s why he’s a critical race theorist, because, you know, the overthrow of the government and the insurgency,” he mocks. Want more from Glenn Beck?To enjoy more of Glenn’s masterful storytelling, thought-provoking analysis, and uncanny ability to make sense of the chaos, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.

Jeffrey Goldberg goes after family of slain soldier for criticizing his latest hit piece

Jeffrey Goldberg, the Atlantic's editor in chief, attacked the family of Vanessa Guillen after they came out against his latest story, which alleged that former President Donald Trump reacted poorly to the cost of Guillen's funeral after offering to cover the expenses. When the story was first published, Vanessa's sister Mayra Guillen blasted the Atlantic for "exploiting [Vanessa's] death for politics." Mayra added that she had already voted for Trump.Vanessa Guillen was killed by a soldier she worked with at Fort Hood in 2020. Her death sparked immense outcry because the military severely mishandled the investigation, giving the murder suspect the opportunity to take his own life before he could be taken into custody.'So, again, I understand the sensitivities around this, but ...'Mark Meadows, Trump's chief of staff at the time, insisted that Trump never said, "It doesn’t cost 60,000 bucks to bury a f***ing Mexican!" as Goldberg claimed. When asked about the denials and criticisms of his story during an interview on CNN, Goldberg brushed aside the Guillen family's statements."In terms of the — the sister, I understand why they're hurt by — by this story, and I — I obviously feel very sorry, as we all do, for this family, but the fact remains when the family visited Donald Trump, as I note in the story, he said kind words and offered to pay for the funeral. Five months later, when the subject came up, he had very unkind things to say about the funeral, and I would note that he didn't pay for the funeral," Goldberg said."So, again, I understand the sensitivities around this, but the truth is the truth, and people in the meeting — getting people who had become somewhat inured to Donald Trump's method of speaking were shocked by what was said, and — and that's how I learned about it," he continued."Yeah. And the detail about how, ultimately, he did not pay for the funeral is a story unto itself, even without the comments," host Jake Tapper added."Not only did he misrepresent our conversation but he outright LIED in HIS sensational story. More importantly, he used and exploited my clients, and Vanessa Guillen’s murder … for cheap political gain," Guillen family lawyer Natalie Khawam said about Goldberg. "I would like to also point out that the timing of this 'story' is quite suspicious, as this supposed conversation that Trump had would have occurred over 4 years ago! Why a story about it now?!"Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!

California's nightmare policies are creeping into Florida's votes

“We cannot go to church and pray like Christians, then vote like atheists,” Florida Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nunez told a crowd of rally-goers on Monday. She was referring to Amendments 3 and 4 in Florida. A University of North Florida poll released this week shows that a ballot measure to legalize weed and a constitutional amendment to ratify baby killing on demand are on track to pass, even with a 60% threshold. The once-dominant voting bloc in the Republican Party has become an ineffective presence, much like churches that fail to emphasize true discipleship. The national implications of this are huge. We’re talking about a state that is a must-win for the presidency and that until recently was maddeningly purple. Democrats aren’t even campaigning in the Sunshine State, thanks to the dominance Republicans have built under Gov. Ron DeSantis. It’s incredible to think about. After DeSantis narrowly beat a candidate caught in a scandal involving cocaine and a male escort, who would have believed such dominance was possible?Yet, here we are.Remember how DeSantis embarrassed California Gov. Gavin Newsom in a debate last November, highlighting the infamous “poop maps” in San Francisco? Just 11 months later, the same Florida voters who witnessed that are now essentially supporting Newsom’s policies, even after they overwhelmingly re-elected DeSantis in 2022.Houston, we have a problem — a people problem.Even Disney opposes Amendment 3, a.k.a. the Stoner Amendment, aligning with DeSantis. Together, Florida’s most influential corporate brand and its most popular politician warn that turning “It’s a High World After All” into a theme park ride is a terrible idea. Despite this, the amendment might still pass with 60% of the vote or better. If these two amendments pass, they will have massive repercussions for social conservatism. The number of politicians willing to advocate our causes will likely dwindle, and we may need to entirely rethink our approach to activism. The once-dominant voting bloc in the Republican Party for generations has become just the type of ineffective and inconsequential presence not unlike churches that fail to emphasize true discipleship. Our influence has diminished, and making stupid excuses like “it’s all because Roe was overturned” will make things worse.Decades of grifty, rudderless, gutless leadership in the Republican Party, the church, and the pro-life movement are coming home to roost. And I’m not sure what to do about that no matter who wins next month. We might need to redefine our role as a prophetic witness in a negative world where we no longer hold influence and GOP politicians can secure wins without us.Trump, of all people, seems to be trying harder than many in the church to help us avoid such a fate as he called on Christians this week to lead the way in taking their country back. Meanwhile, the seeker-sensitive pastor who refuses to acknowledge the drag queen story hour molesting kids across the street won’t cut it anymore. And that also goes for the anon master of piety on X who will happily watch the world burn as he gives himself a helmet sticker for never getting his hands dirty in something called “reality.”So many of us have sold our birthright for the cheapest of lies and comforts. Will our culture’s fate truly be no different in the end than one founded by atheists? May it not be too late to redeem the time for our children after so many opportunities were left wasted and so many idols were polished until they blinded us from who we are called to be as citizens.Alexis de Tocqueville said America “is great because it is good.” Our forefathers held up their end of the bargain on that front in the face of great hardship and evil in the past. But is he finally wrong about us?Pray not.
