Paul Di’Anno, who fronted the band from 1978-1981, has died (on 10/21) at age 66.
Born in Chingford, East London on May 17th, 1958, Di’Anno sang on Iron Maiden’s groundbreaking debut album “Iron Maiden” and the influential follow-up, “Killers.”
He was fired from Iron Maiden with his last show with the band happening on September 10th, 1981, in Copenhagen, Denmark. At the time he was paid out and did not receive royalties from Iron Maiden songs.
