The hosts of the “Flagrant” podcast on Wednesday discussed the reactions they’ve gotten, as well as the fallout they’ve each experienced, after sitting down with former President Donald Trump on a recent episode. Comedian Andrew Schulz opened the show stating that Trump is “winning by a landslide” given the response he’s received from people on the street. “It’s not close anymore … before he came on, I was like, ‘He don’t got a chance,’” Schulz said. “I was like, ‘He’s coming on here, he got to be down bad. He got to be down.’ I mean, no, we’re the best. And then after the interview, obviously we saw the reaction.” “You know what it was? It was the looks on the street, the looks on the street I was getting — it was like, you know … a nod, like a person you don’t know,” he added, noting that the nods he’s been getting appear to be those of approval from people he believes are Trump supporters. “What a different racial reality we live in,” co-host Akaash Singh replied, noting that he lost 10,000 followers on Instagram after he posted a picture of himself posing with Donald Trump ahead of the release of the podcast. Later, Schulz talked about the fallout, saying that a venue for his next set of comedy shows canceled mere hours after the Trump interview. “It was an awesome interview and everybody loved it. Then a day later, Dov [the producer] was like, ‘Oh, by the way, the venue you’re going to shoot your special in canceled your shows,”’ Schulz said, adding that the venue had been locked in for months. We’re going on sale this week, like we have the entire production team come out for,” he added. “This is for the third time many of us are, you know, spotting the venue and looking … we have the set design already curated … we’re going on sale this week.” The podcast host admitted the Brooklyn Academy of Music never specified in its email that the cancellation was because of Trump, but he pointed out the timing, noting that three and a half hours after the interview, they were notified that Schulz wasn’t “the right fit for this show at this time.” At one point, the hosts got candid about how comfortable Trump appeared to be with them, pointing to the moment that the former president noted he doesn’t like when people say things that about him that aren’t true. “I think I asked him, I was like, how does it feel when these people say things about you that you don’t believe are true?” Schulz said. “And he goes, ‘Yeah, I don’t like it or it hurts … yeah, he goes, ‘It bothers me.'” “Have you ever heard Trump admit that anything bothered him?” he added. And I never thought I would hear back. And all of a sudden, I got a video from Kelly of Mr. Roll thanking me.” Overcome with emotion, Henry said to Kelly, “Oh my God, thank you.” Kelly joked that she loved being the one to share the news with Henry. “By the way, it was the most exciting thing that has ever not happened to me, you know what I mean,” Kelly said. “It was for you, it had nothing to do with me. It was for you but the fact that I was able to be the conduit was the most exciting thing.” She then shared the video from Jelly Roll who said, “Hey Mr Winkler, it’s Jelly Roll. I’m just sending my love. I have been hoping to see you ’cause I got a note, and they said it was from you.” He added that the letter shocked him. At first, Jelly Roll didn’t think it was real. When his publicist confirmed the authenticity, he framed it. “I will send you a picture when I get home, I hope you don’t mind, I framed it. I hung it up on my wall where I have like hand written lyrics from Craig Morgan, all the stuff that’s really been special in my career.” He added, “Thank you, I’m absolutely honored Mr Winkler, I can’t wait to see you and hopefully give you a hug man,” Jelly Roll said. “I’m a big hugger. One of our favorite things about Dancing With The Stars is the way the show celebrates the stars’ careers in the most fun ways. We’ve watched Alfonso Ribeiro dance to Tom Jones’s It’s Not Unusual and perform his iconic “Carlton” dance. In Nelly’s first episode, he appeared on a motorcycle and danced the salsa to his hit song Ride Wit Me. Stephen Nedoroscik had his moment to show off on October 15 when he incorporated the pommel horse into his DWTS routine. There’s A Reason Stephen Nedoroscik Is An Olympic Medalist He’s just so darn good. On Dedication Night, he and Rylee Arnold danced the Agentine Tango to the White Stripes’ Seven Nation Army. The song has a rhythmic beat that lends itself perfectly to Stephen’s quick routine on the horse. He started their performance with a solo gymnastics routine that was impressive on its own. It’s even more incredible when you factor in that Stephen wore a suit. He and Rylee hit the floor and once again, impressed the judges. Bruno Tonioli told Stephen, “You were a good student.” He said Stephen kept his focus throughout the dance. Fellow judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Mark Ballas agreed, noting he was a bit wobbly, but it didn’t stop them from scoring Stephen and Rylee a total of 33. Fans love Stephen and think he’s very dedicated to getting his dances right. “Rylee is giving him BY FAR the most challenging choreography in the competition but he’s handling it and doing amazing. He deserves to go to the finale,” a fan wrote on YouTube. This person agreed, “I thought he deserved all 9s. Really difficult dance. Great prescience and footwork. So partial to our Olympians and running backs and I just love this young man. Absolutely fantastic, especially when he started doing gymnastics at beginning. Great performance.
