The message of the number is to remind people to be empathetic to the less privileged amid the holiday cheer. ‘Christmastime Is Here’ by Vince Guaraldi Christmas songs from the 1960s/YouTube Pianist Vince Guaraldi wrote this 1965 song for A Charlie Brown Christmas. It matched the classic holiday cartoon with the featured children’s voices and is a happy number about kids’ favorite time of the year. “Christmastime is here / Happiness and cheer / Fun for all that children call / Their favorite time of year,” the little ones could be heard singing.
