Oscar-winning director Stanley Kubrick’s daughter, Vivian, hit back at those upset at the use of her late dad’s work in former President Donald Trump’s latest ad about our military. “TO THOSE WHO THINK MY FATHER WOULDN’T HAVE WANTED #TRUMP TO USE FMJ [Full Metal Jacket] FOOTAGE,” Kubrick’s daughter wrote in a post on Sunday on X, about the use of footage from her late father’s brutal film about military basic training and war in the 1987 movie “Full Metal Jacket.” “I agree in principle that an anti-war movie is incongruous with promoting the idea of a tough non-woke US military and thus war itself — however — these are very dangerous and strange times and thus using this footage is doubtless pure expedience,” the daughter of the late film maker wrote. “Because I’m sure the irony of using FMJ footage is not lost on Trump or his team — Trump is always seeking to end wars and use peaceful methods. Which accounts for how at the same time he made anti-war films, he had a great passion for guns (self-defense not hunting) and he had quite a few!” she added. “My father had a great respect for life — his movies being unimpeachable evidence of his love for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness! So on that basis, I feel very confident he would be a Trump supporter and would forgive using FMJ incongruously, if it helps the cause of freedom!” Kubrick concluded.  The Trump campaign unveiled the anti-woke military ad during his recent campaign stops that features clips of the famous marine drill instructor who was played by the late R. Lee Ermey in Kubrick’s movie.  The clips of “FMJ” — with the words “President Trump” — are juxtaposed against clips of people currently in President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ administration using transgenders and drag queens in our military promoting an LGBTQ military for the U.S. Trump later shared the clip on social media and wrote, “WE WILL NOT HAVE A WOKE MILITARY!”

Vice President Kamala Harris appeared to get sidetracked during an interview with journalist Roland S. Martin, delivering a brief if confusing astronomy lesson during a conversation about her plan to implement policies that will disproportionately benefit black voters. Martin set her up with a question about her political opponent, former President Donald Trump, claiming that he was specifically targeting cities that had high minority populations and attacking them as failing. Martin made no mention of the fact that Detroit — one of the cities in question — has had only Democrat mayors since 1962, but focused solely on racial demographics. The other two cities mentioned, Chicago and Washington, D.C., have been under Democrat control since 1931 and 1967, respectively. Harris nodded in agreement before quickly veering off course. As video of the strange exchange began to circulate, critics wondered what exactly the point was that Harris had been trying to make. “Ummmm… the wheels are coming off. Barstool founder Dave Portnoy unleashed on the media for the “gaslighting” of the American people to push Kamala Harris, who he said is the “worst presidential candidate” we have ever had in our history. In a lengthy anti-Kamala rant posted on X, Portnoy said the “gaslighting” l claiming that the Vice President is some kind of “change candidate” and is amazing must stop, pointing out how she can’t even answer simple questions during friendly interviews. Portnoy started out his video talking about how at recent rallies, Harris has told the crowd “It’s time to turn the page,” trying to claim she’s something different than what we have seen from President Joe Biden — despite being the sitting VP — when it comes to the insane immigration problem, rising inflation and crime. He also mentioned the disaster this administration has been around the world with regard to Afghanistan, Russia, Israel and more. He said she then goes on friendly interviews like with “The View” and “Late Night with Stephen Colbert” and she’s claims to be basically the same as Biden — he played a clip of her saying there’s nothing she would do differently — or that she starts rambling about the American people’s ambitions, hopes, and dreams.  “What are we talking about?” Portnoy said. “This is the candidate that people say is such a great leader? Stop gaslighting us….Kamala Harris can’t even answer the easiest question of all time. She never gives a straight answer. Vice President Kamala Harris appears to have plagiarized portions of her 2009 book that she coauthored with Joan O’C Hamilton. The Austrian “Plagiarism Hunter” Stefan Weber posted to his blog on Monday a series of excerpts from the book that appear to be lifted from other sources, including one lengthy passage that appears to have been copied from a 2008 Wikipedia entry. Weber, who has gained fame for uncovering plagiarism cases among German-speaking politicians, said he uncovered 24 blocks of text that appear plagiarized from other authors. Conservative activist Chris Rufo combed through Weber’s examples and spotted “at least a dozen sections” of plagiarized material. He posted some of those excerpts to his X account. In one example of plagiarism from Harris’ book, she and Hamilton appeared to have lifted a passage from a 2008 Wikipedia article on New York City’s Midtown Community Court, according to Rufo. Rufo quoted a section from the book that was almost entirely taken word-for-word from the Wikipedia entry. At the time the section was allegedly lifted, Wikipedia was considered an unreliable source because of its open-source editing process. Rufo pointed out that the book misquoted a report based on its alleged lifting of Wikipedia’s wording, leading the authors to claim a fact with no supporting evidence. Harris and Hamilton published the book, titled “Smart on Crime: A Career Prosecutor’s Plan to Make Us Safer,” ahead of Harris’ campaign for California attorney general as she was beginning her career in elected politics. The book was used to support Harris’ image and credibility for the role she was later to assume. In her current run for president, Harris has been accused of copying several of former president Donald Trump’s campaign promises. In August, Harris announced that she supported eliminating taxes on tips, a promise Trump has made two months earlier. Harris has also portrayed herself as a tough-on-crime prosecutor and border hawk, though Harris also supports amnesty.

I received a telephone call from a San Antonio suburban resident who has been experiencing Bigfoot activity on their property.The witness (BH) states that the outside home alarm system has been activated several times in the past, but a recent encounter has caused her concern.A few nights ago, the alarm on her driveway was triggered. Since there had been significant rain in the area lately, she decided to go outside and check the battery/wiring to make sure that it hadn't been compromised. As she was examining the module, she heard a rustling sound and then a frightening growl behind her. The sound was coming from the direction of her van at the far end of the driveway. When she turned, she encountered a dark hair-covered being that stood at least a foot above her van.Her description was that it looked like the Bigfoot in 'Harry and the Hendersons' as far as overall shape, but that it bared its large teeth and that the eyes were bright orange. She also noticed a distinct odor, not foul, but similar to Pine or Spruce. It continued to growl at her in a threatening manner. She quickly ran into the house and told her fiance. He grabbed a firearm and went out to check, but the creature was gone.BH has lived in the house for 18 years but has only noticed activity in the past 2 years. She states that they have seen 'eye shine' from the trees in the back of the property (Maple, Mesquite, Cedar) several times. There has also been pet mutilation in the neighborhood during this period. The nearby residents are keenly aware of the activity. One neighbor has gathered physical evidence. She is afraid to be outside at night. She is an artist and has enjoyed amateur astronomy, but does not feel safe in her own backyard.I have referred her concerns to an investigator in the area. I plan to follow up on the situation.
