Alleged Third ‘Assassination Attempt’ On Trump Stopped At Rally: Police

An apparent third assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump was reportedly stopped at the last moment on Sunday when law enforcement officials apprehended an armed man with fake passes outside Trump’s rally in California, authorities announced on Sunday. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that the man was intercepted at 4:59 p.m. on Saturday evening, just a minute before the event was set to start. Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco said, “We probably stopped another assassination attempt.” Vem Miller, a 49-year-old resident of Las Vegas, was stopped in a black SUV and was found “to be illegally in possession of a shotgun, a loaded handgun, and a high-capacity magazine,” police said in a press release. Miller was taken into custody without incident and booked at the John J. Benoit Detention Center for possession of a loaded firearm and possession of a high-capacity magazine. Miller was offered bail and was released after posting the $5,000, the New York Post reported. Despite Bianco’s remarks, sources close to the Trump campaign said that there was no assassination attempt yesterday. NEW: Sources close to the Trump campaign tell @FoxNews there was no assassination attempt against Trump at his Coachella, CA rally yesterday. We’re told a man with a gun was arrested at the perimeter of the event without incident. — Bill Melugin (@BillMelugin_) October 13, 2024 Bianco said that the suspect was stopped about a half-mile away from the rally entrance carrying fake passes. “They were different enough to cause the deputies alarm,” Bianco said, according to the Riverside Press-Enterprise. The long, murky friendship of Jeffrey Epstein and Bill Barr

The long, murky friendship of Jeffrey Epstein and Bill Barr

Every man has a hobby or two. Some, like stamp collecting or bowling, reveal very little about his character. Others ... well, let me point you in the direction of Donald Barr, father of former U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr. When Donald wasn’t doing his 9-to-5 work as headmaster at the exclusive New York City private school Dalton, he was busy writing some rather peculiar science fiction. His 1973 novel, "Space Relations: A Slightly Gothic Interplanetary Tale," envisions a universe where the elite indulge in the most depraved of activities. To this day, with the exception of Ghislaine Maxwell, not a single person linked to Jeffrey Epstein has faced arrest or prosecution. On the planet Kossar, trafficking, sexual debauchery, and the enslavement of human beings are the norm. The ruling oligarchs treat people as commodities, breeding sex slaves and subjecting them to hormone manipulation to satisfy their perverse desires. Criminally unqualifiedThis reads very much like a sci-fi version of Jeffrey Epstein’s real-life empire of exploitation, with all manner of perversions facilitated by his connections to powerful elites. I mention Epstein for a very specific reason. You see, shortly after writing his rather eccentric novel, Barr inexplicably hired the sexual predator to teach at his school. Epstein, a college dropout with no teaching experience, was criminally unqualified for the role.Remember, this is the Dalton School we are talking about, one of the most prestigious private institutions in the United States. It has long been a breeding ground for the children of the wealthy and powerful, boasting alumni who go on to attend Ivy League universities and hold influential positions across various fields. Such an august reputation makes the hiring of an unqualified individual like Epstein all the more baffling — until you realize that dad Donald had worked for the OSS, the forerunner of the CIA. Now, things look a little clearer. But also considerably darker. Was Jeffrey Epstein an intelligence asset? A better question might be, how could someone without intelligence connections operate with such impunity for so many years? The formative yearsAs for Donald’s son, it’s difficult to know where to begin. The former U.S. attorney general has longstanding ties to the CIA. Early in his career, Bill Barr worked for the CIA while attending law school, specifically in the intelligence analysis and law divisions. Throughout his legal career, Barr maintained connections with the intelligence community, evident during his tenure as attorney general under George H.W. Bush, a former CIA director. Most readers know that Bill Barr's connection to Epstein traces back to 2019, when, as U.S. attorney general, he oversaw the Justice Department during the pedophile's arrest in Florida. But again, as most readers know, appearances can be very deceptive.Bosom buddiesBarr and Epstein go way back. As the excellent investigative reporter Nick Bryant has shown with photographic evidence, Barr and Epstein clearly attended the Interlochen Center for the Arts, a renowned arts education institution in northern Michigan, when they were kids. At the very same time. However, when Bryant looked through the school's yearbook, he found that none of the photos had names listed. A yearbook without names is not just uncommon. It’s unheard of. Something is off.'Raises serious questions'In August 2019, shortly after Epstein was found dead in his prison cell, Bill Barr issued the following statement:“I was appalled to learn that Jeffrey Epstein was found dead early this morning from an apparent suicide while in federal custody. Mr. Epstein’s death raises serious questions that must be answered.”Indeed, they must. Such as, just how close were Bill Barr and Epstein, really? How deep did their connection go? And for anyone thinking, "How can you criticize Bill Barr? He's on 'our team,'" let’s be absolutely clear: When it comes to the mass trafficking and exploitation of children — including victims as young as 11 — there are no teams. There's only a choice between good and evil. Either you oppose Satan or support him. I know where I stand. But do we know where Bill Barr stands? To this day, with the exception of Ghislaine Maxwell, not a single person linked to Jeffrey Epstein has faced arrest or prosecution. Let that sink in. Epstein masterminded one of the largest and most sophisticated trafficking rings in American history, allegedly catering to some of the world's most powerful figures, from Bill Clinton to Prince Andrew. Yet here we are in 2024, and we are no closer to justice than we were back in 2019.Under orders? After Epstein's arrest, Barr initially claimed a conflict of interest, citing his previous work at Kirkland and Ellis — the law firm that helped broker Epstein's notorious 2007 "sweetheart" deal with Assistant U.S. Attorney Ann Marie Villafaña. But after a quick consultation with "ethics officials," Barr abruptly reversed his decision and inserted himself into Epstein's prosecution in Manhattan. Of course, his connections ran even deeper than a 12-year-old legal assignment. Let's not forget, Barr's father had longstanding ties to Epstein. Why didn’t Barr fully recuse himself and allow an impartial prosecutor to take charge? Because, it seems, he was under orders not to. And who would issue such orders? Likely, his old friends at the CIA. Epstein had too much dirt on too many high-profile people. For that reason, he was almost certainly murdered. His victims will never see justice, and we will never uncover the actual truth.Jeffrey Epstein is dead and so too are the chances of getting to the bottom of the darkest story since 9/11.Bill Barr has some serious questions to answer. He knows this. It's high time the rest of America knew it, too.

Glenn Beck is rallying skeptical religious voters to Trump with this critical warning

Blaze Media co-founder Glenn Beck took the stage at former President Donald Trump's rally in Prescott Valley, Arizona, Sunday afternoon to help encourage skeptical voters — particularly women — to cast their ballots for Trump in November, outlining the stakes for young ladies as well as discussing the Republican nominee's happy family. "I am here today because this is the election that will decide who we are, where our children live, the opportunities that they will have," Beck began to raucous applause. "This is sacred to me, a sacred duty and honor, not to just be here but also to vote. We need to get people out to vote for Donald Trump."'It is time for the good people that know the difference between right and wrong to stand up and save the republic.'"You don't need me to tell you we live in what I believe are prophesized times. We are living in a time where evil is literally called good, and good is evil, where men can become women.""I know there are some women that say, 'I don't know, I just can't vote for Donald Trump,' Beck conceded, before thundering a warning that "the policies of the left and Kamala Harris are destroying our women! They are undermining us as parents!" "Anybody who says that they should be able to counsel my child in secret," he cautioned, "is a predator!""And for people who say, 'I don't know if they can vote for Donald Trump,'" the top national radio host continued, "the one thing that you cannot question is his children. His children love him and honor him. His children, quite honestly, with that much wealth and that much fame, they should be crackheads!"The rally in the former ranching and mining area of Arizona once called Lonesome Valley attracted tens of thousands of spectators, who began lining up the day before, when Trump was still speaking 250 miles to the west, in Coachella, California.Arizona is a swing state. In 2020, it went for President Joe Biden by just 10,000 votes. Polling for 2024 has consistently shown Trump leading Vice President Kamala Harris by five points, while polling has shown Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Rep. Ruben Gallego consistently running six or more points ahead of Republican candidate Kari Lake. That large a spread in the polls has raised eyebrows among political consultants, however, who note that voters willing to "split the ticket" and vote for different parties for Senate and president are increasingly rare in our hyper-partisan age.Beck, a former Never-Trumper who has since become an enthusiastic Trump supporter, has positioned himself as a prominent evangelist to skeptical Republicans, independents, and former Democrats, especially Mormons — a conservative-leaning population that has been cool toward the 45th president's bluster. For example: While the only Mormon-majority state, Utah, consistently votes Republican, its Republican governor, Phil Cox, has never voted for Trump and embraced (and endorsed) him only after the attempt on his life shortly before the Republican National Convention. Mormonism is the third largest religion in Arizona, representing roughly five percent of the population."Every Sunday, if you go to church," Beck said, "you break bread in remembrance of Him. 'This is my body, which I have given up for you.' The left has perverted that to the point to where it is, 'This is my child's body, which I will give up for me.'""That is evil," Beck exclaimed, "and must not continue! We are looking at a relationship with evil that cannot be tolerated." "It is time for the good people that know the difference between right and wrong to stand up and save the republic. It is time to call on God's army that is armed with our voices and our votes."Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. X blocked hacked JD Vance dossier links after the Trump campaign flagged it

Illustration by Laura Normand / The Verge The Presidential campaign of Donald Trump asked X to stop links to a story containing VP nominee JD Vance’s hacked dossier from circulating before X chose to block them, reports The New York Times. X had cited its “rules on posting unredacted private personal information” as its justification for suspending the reporter who first published the dossier in his story. That’s a markedly different set of actions than those Musk took two years ago after criticizing Twitter’s decision to suppress a 2020 news story about Hunter Biden’s laptop. He called the choice “a violation of the Constitution’s First Amendment” and seeded internal documents related to the decision to certain journalists to report on — which doxxed people in the process.
