A new ad from the pro-women’s sports brand XX-XY Athletics went viral after it called out the athletic brand Nike for being silent about supporting female-only women’s sports amid the transgender insanity. “Chills! Powerful ad by @xx_xyathletics in honor of Real Women’s Day tomorrow [Oct. 10],” former collegiate swimmer and outspoken women’s sports advocate Riley Gaines wrote in her post on X. “It’s not hard to stand up for women and girls, so why won’t @Nike just do it?” she added. Gaines — who is also brand ambassador for the company — made the post on Wednesday, and by Thursday, it had garnered 1.8 million views. Chills! In fact, it’s awfully dangerous, yet you refuse to use your platform to stand up. You say you’re for social justice and progress, so why do you allow men’s rights to come before ours?” “See, with a big platform comes an even bigger responsibility,” the girls in the ad continue. “You have a chance to do the right thing, not just do the easy thing. So we’re asking you, Nike, as the biggest voice in all of sports, will you stand up for me? Will you just do it?” A hashtag at the end of the ad reads, “#SaveWomensSports.” Podcast host and journalist Megyn Kelly reacted to the ad, writing on X, “Woah. Chills. Will you, @Nike?” Former ESPN anchor Sage Steele also saw the ad and wrote, “Wow.  LOVE this new ad called ‘Dear Nike’ by @xx_xyathletis. Tomorrow is #XXDay so please join us in asking @Nike to do the right thing by standing up for girls & women by keeping boys & men OUT of our sports.” She also credited the company’s founder, former top Levi executive Jennifer Sey, with doing a great job with the ad. Vice President Kamala Harris‘ fundraising for her presidential campaign has exploded in three months since she entered the race in July after the Democrat Party forced President Joe Biden to drop out. Harris has raised more than $1 billion — which includes the campaign and a campaign-affiliated joint fundraising committee — since she entered the race. The eye-popping sum of cash does not include large sums of money that have been donated to Harris-allied super PACs. While other presidential campaigns have raised over a billion dollars in the past, no candidate has received that amount of money in such a short span of time. “It’s clear that Harris has done something absolutely unprecedented,” said Sarah Bryner, research director at OpenSecrets. Harris reportedly hit the $1 billion mark in 80 days. CNN reported that for the period starting at the beginning of July and ending at the end of September, former President Donald Trump has raised $430 million in a joint effort with the Republican National Committee. Trump has raised more than $850 million for the entire 2024 calendar year. Trump’s numbers also do not include totals from large super PACs that are backing his campaign. The former president was already leading President Joe Biden heading into their debate back in late June. After the debate, in which Biden showed clear signs of serious cognitive decline, poll numbers worsened for Biden to the point where even the Democrats’ allies in the media were conceding that he was going to be blown out by Trump come November. However, after pressuring Biden out of the race and installing Harris, who has never received a single vote in a presidential primary, as the party’s nominee, things began to shift. The race has gone from being a blow-out — one in which Arizona, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina were no longer being considered swing states — to tight, with margins coming down to low single digits across more than a half dozen states. The New York Times reported that the dramatic infusion of cash that the Harris campaign has received has “remade the race” as it pours hundreds of millions of dollars into the critical swing states that will determine the winner of the election. The report noted that Republicans are pouring in large sums as well, including over $100 million in the closing weeks of the campaign.

A pair of new campaign ads accuse Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin (D) of being “in bed with Wall Street” as she faces conflict of interest allegations over her relationship with New York wealth management advisor Maria Brisbane. The ads from Republican Senate hopeful Eric Hovde feature several voters accusing Baldwin and Brisbane of living extravagantly while people in Wisconsin suffer from high inflation and illegal immigration. Brisbane, a private wealth advisor for the Brisbane Group, works with “Ultra High Net Worth” clients worth at least $20 million and has dated Baldwin since 2018. While Baldwin and Brisbane own a $1.3 million Washington, D.C., penthouse condo, the two-term senator has never disclosed Brisbane’s assets in her financial disclosures because the two are not married. This was a departure from her previous practice where she had disclosed the assets of her romantic partner while in office.  “I’m sick and tired of getting ripped off by career politicians. And Tammy Baldwin: she’s one of the worst. Baldwin’s in bed with Wall Street,” Amy, from Hartland, says in the new ad. “While she sleeps in her girlfriend’s million dollar condo in New York City, Wisconsin families are getting hammered by high inflation and handouts for illegal immigrants. Tammy Baldwin doesn’t. She pretends she’s standing up for the working people, but the truth is she’s cozying up to Wall Street,” he says. “Baldwin’s girlfriend is a Wall Street executive who helps the rich avoid paying taxes and benefited from the massive bailouts Tammy voted for. Tammy and her girlfriend get richer while we struggle.” The ads come as Hovde and watchdog groups have raised concerns about the pair’s ties to the biotechnology industry. As the New York Post previously reported, Baldwin has actively pushed for tens of millions of dollars in funding for the “biohealth economy.” During her time in the Senate, Baldwin also has overseen NIH funding from the Senate, which distributes millions in funding to biotech companies. Critics say this sets up potential conflicts of interest because Brisbane’s professional work has included managing a biotechnology mutual fund and pushing for investments in small biotech companies in her role as a wealth management advisor. The race between Baldwin and Hovde has narrowed in recent weeks, with the race being shifted to a “toss up” by the Cook Political Report with internal Democratic polling showing Baldwin with just a 49%-47% lead.
