Your car is SPYING on you — and it’s only going to get worse

If you thought your personal property was private, then you might not have read the agreement you signed when you purchased it — and this is especially true when it comes to your vehicle. Car expert Lauren Fix is sounding the alarm, explaining that in the infrastructure bill of 2021, “there’s a kill switch law.” “That kill switch law allowed them to listen in your car, to monitor your eyes, to literally track all of your information,” Fix tells Hilary Kennedy and Matthew Peterson of “Blaze News Tonight.” “And what are they doing with that information?” She continues, “We know that manufacturers are hurting financially. We see a lot of cars sitting on lots, and as long as prices keep getting higher, their profit margins are shrinking.” So they sell the data to places like insurance companies and the police department. “Then, just recently Ford decided to create a patent that would sell all your information directly to the police department so that they wouldn’t have to go through some sort of contract,” Fix explains, adding, “Which, again, is a violation of our privacy and really infuriates me.” While Americans are right to be infuriated, the problem is that they do disclose this information in the paperwork — which almost no one actually reads. “It’s going to get worse because in 2026, all cars are going to have a kill switch in them,” Fix says. “That’s going to tell whether you’re under the influence of something by the start/stop button.” “Is all of this perfectly legal?” Peterson asks, concerned. “Well, it actually probably isn’t. But we sign those agreements,” Fix says. ‘You’re gonna die’: Tampa mayor issues blunt warning to residents ignoring evacuation orders as Hurricane Milton approaches

Tampa Mayor Jane Castor (D) delivered a blunt, grim message on Tuesday evening to Floridians ignoring evacuation orders as Hurricane Milton approaches the peninsula.“The number one message — as it has been for several days now — is that you need to prepare. Do whatever you need to do and then get out of the evacuation zones,” Castor told CNN this week. 'Write your name on your arms so that we know who you are.'“Hide from the wind and run from the water,” she continued. “And we are talking about right now the possibility of a direct hit with 10 to 12-foot tidal surge.”Castor compared the oncoming Hurricane Milton to the recent Hurricane Helene, which she noted resulted in a six-foot storm surge that was “literally devastating to so many in our coastal area.”She stated that the traffic on all the state’s northbound highways indicates that most residents are taking the warning to heart and getting out of Dodge. CNN’s Kaitlan Collins asked Castor what she would say to those choosing to ignore the evacuation orders and ride out the storm. Castor warned that Milton will be far worse than any previous storm the area has experienced. “Helene was a wake-up call. This is literally catastrophic. And I can say without any dramatization whatsoever, if you choose to stay in one of those evacuation areas, you’re gonna die,” Castor stated. Hurricane Milton is expected to hit the Florida coast as early as late Wednesday. The storm has fluctuated between Category 4 and 5 as it approaches landfall. Cathie Perkins, the director of Pinellas County Emergency Management, stated, “This is it, folks.”“Those of you who were punched during Hurricane Helene, this is going to be a knockout. You need to get out, and you need to get out now,” she said, according to the Associated Press. “Everybody in Tampa Bay should assume we are going to be ground zero.”In the days leading up to Hurricane Helene, Taylor County Sheriff Wayne Padgett issued his own dire warning to those choosing to ignore the evacuation orders, instructing them to “take a black Magic Marker, write your name, your Social Security number, everything on your arm,” so that officials could identify their bodies if they did not survive.Police Chief William Tokajer told CNN that residents who have refused to evacuate the area for Milton are on their own. “You might as well take a Sharpie and write your name and Social Security Number on your leg so that when we find you, we have a contact because it is not going to be good for you,” he said. Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody had a similar message. “I’ve heard people say it before: If you choose to stay where there’s a direct hit, make sure you write your name on your arms so that we know who you are,” Moody told LiveNOW from Fox.Like Blaze News? Homeowner shoots break-in suspect with arrow — and instantly intruder is in no condition to continue caper

A crossbow-wielding Michigan homeowner fired an arrow at a break-in suspect and successfully thwarted the early Tuesday morning caper.Monroe County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a home in the 4500 block of Huron Street in Frenchtown Township just after 12:30 a.m. after receiving a report concerning a home invasion in progress, WLNS-TV reported. The municipality is about a half hour southwest of Detroit.'Well, he definitely got the point not to ever do that again.'The call to authorities indicated two people broke into the home that was occupied by two residents, the station said. One of the residents shot one of the intruders with an arrow, after which the other intruder fled, WLNS noted. The intruder who was shot — a 32-year-old male — was taken to a hospital to remove the arrow and undergo surgery, the station said, adding that he was in police custody while he recovers. Police arrested the other male intruder — a 41-year-old — shortly after the incident and was being held in the Monroe County Jail, WLNS said. The station said police won't release the identities of the males until they are arraigned. The sheriff's office said the incident is not believed to have been a random act and appears to have stemmed from a prior altercation between those involved, WLNS said. How are observers reacting?Commenters under the station's Facebook post about the incident seemed happy about the outcome: "GOOD!!! Stop breaking the law a-hole," one commenter wrote."He’ll ya. Get r done," another user declared."Sounds like somebody F'd A & found out ...." another commenter noted.Another group of commenters under WXYZ's Facebook post about the incident expressed similar sentiments:"FAFO you decided someone else's property was more valuable than your life the moment you crossed the threshold," one commenter stated."I love a happy ending," another user wrote."Well, he definitely got the point not to ever do that again," another commenter quipped.Like Blaze News? Registered perverts have no room at the inn, must seek shelter from hurricane at jail instead, Florida sheriff says

The sheriff of a Florida county where Hurricane Milton is expected to hit has issued a warning for registered sex offenders who need shelter from the storm: Do not attempt to seek refuge at the designated public facility. Instead, go directly to jail.As of 8 a.m. Wednesday, Flagler County residents have been under an order to evacuate the area in preparation for Hurricane Milton. Those who remain behind and need a more durable location to ride out the storm are invited to bring their families and up to four pets to Rymfire Elementary School in Palm Coast along the eastern coast of Florida about 25 miles south of St. Augustine."The shelter will also accommodate residents who are from an area under an evacuation order and have no other place to go," a message from Flagler County Emergency Management said.'If you prey on this community you will ride out the storm at the county jail.'While the public shelter will seemingly welcome most residents in need, there are some members of the community who may not go there. They include those convicted of sex-related offenses who have since been released back into society."If you are a predator, you are not allowed at the Rymfire shelter," Sheriff Rick Staly said at a press conference on Wednesday morning.Instead, Staly said, officials have already made other arrangements for these potentially dangerous individuals."If you are designated under Florida law as a sex predator and you need shelter, you need to go to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility," Staly continued. He then quickly noted, "That's the county jail.""We will accommodate you in the lobby of that building. You've probably seen it before, I would guess," he added with a straight face. The clip of those remarks can be seen here. The full press conference can be viewed below.Sheriff Staly also issued a warning against would-be looters tempted to exploit the situation and "prey" upon vulnerable residents in Flagler County."To the criminals who think they can prey on our community, just remember during times of disaster, we have extra deputies on patrol," Staly noted. "Our real-time crime center is up and functional, and we have lots of cameras in this county. ... If you prey on this community you will ride out the storm at the county jail."The evacuation order remains in effect in Flagler County until 7:30 a.m. Thursday."We'll get through this together," Sheriff Staly assured everyone.Like Blaze News? Trump names who he thinks is behind assassination attempt, admits Biden's edge in one area — leaves interviewers in stitches

Former President Donald Trump gave a wide-ranging interview on the massively popular "Flagrant" podcast, where he provided some new insight into who he believes might be behind the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania. Co-host Akaash Singh of the "Flagrant" podcast — which has nearly 1.7 million subscribers and 415,000,000 total views on YouTube — asked Trump who he believed was behind the assassination attempt in July.Trump explained his strategy when giving nicknames to his adversaries. "I hate answering it," Trump said of the question, "because I don't want to give any false identities. I don't want to do anything having to do with creating something that isn't there."Trump advised that President Joe Biden should be extremely stern with assassination attempts on American politicians by other countries. Trump said if Biden were "a real president," he should issue a warning to all foreign powers that the U.S. would "bomb that country to oblivion" if there is an assassination attempt against an American president."If they do it, the country will be blown to smithereens, the entire country will be blown to smithereens," Trump said. "That's a really bad threat as a country." "Iran has an open threat out for me," Trump noted. Trump pointed out that China is not happy with him for the tariffs he imposed on the country. Trump concluded, "I think Iran would be the one."Trump claimed to have been nearing a deal during his presidency in which the U.S., China, and Russia would denuclearize. "We were close to a deal for getting rid of nuclear weapons," Trump said. "It would be so good." "It's too powerful," he declared of nuclear weapons. "It's too much." Regarding negotiating with powerful foreign leaders, Trump said, "I get along with pretty much everybody. Actually, the tougher they were the better I did with them — that's a good thing, not a bad thing because the other ones are easy to handle."Trump said he got along well with Chinese President Xi Jinping, except when the coronavirus pandemic happened. "But when COVID came, I was not happy with him," Trump said of Xi. "Because it came out of the labs — accidentally, I believe." Trump conceded that Biden has an edge over him in one area. "He has one ability that I don't have — he sleeps," Trump said, which left the interviews in stitches. "This guy goes on a beach, he lays on one of those 6-ounce chairs. They weigh 6 ounces. They weigh very little, and he can’t lift it," Trump joked. "They're meant for children, young people, and old people." Trump continued to lampoon Biden and his frequent beach vacations, "Somebody convinced him he looks good in a bathing suit. When you’re 82, typically bathing suits don’t make you look great. You're not going to be enhanced. It's just one of those things." "He has an ability to fall asleep while on camera," Trump told "Flagrant" host and comedian Andrew Schulz. "He can lie down, and in minutes, he's stone-cold out." Trump said he has launched a lawsuit against the Pulitzer Prize Board for awarding writers at the New York Times and the Washington Post with Pulitzer Awards in 2018 for their Russiagate coverage that has since been refuted. "They've got themselves a big problem now," he said. "And the suit's moving along — and I think we're going to win that suit easily."Trump said his legal team wrote a letter to the Pulitzer Prize Board that read: "We demand that you take back the Pulitzer Prizes, we demand an apology." Trump explained his strategy when giving nicknames to his adversaries. He said nicknames need to be easy to say because "you can't stutter it through when you use it.""When you put the names together you've got to be able to pewwwm. You've got to be able to put it out there," Trump stated. Schulz asked what happened to former Vice President Mike Pence.Trump replied, "He couldn't cross the line of doing what was right, in my opinion." Trump said he thinks Pence is a "good man" and the duo had a good working relationship for "99.9%" of the administration. Schulz asked Trump what he would like his legacy to be and what he thinks it will be. Trump responded, "What I would like my legacy to be is the same as the term MAGA — Make America Great Again — I'm going to make this country great again." "I want to make America great again. I want to make it so great that people won't question it," Trump proclaimed. In August, Schulz described Trump as a "very enticing candidate." "He’s very enticing. He’s incredibly enticing, and I think that he’s enticing because I think the Democrats have utterly failed to inspire us in any way, shape, or form," Schulz stated during an episode of "The Brilliant Idiots" podcast. Schulz told his co-host Charlamagne tha God, "I think that it’s nice to see somebody that is bucking the system especially when the systems, you feel, have left you down."You can watch the entire "Flagrant" podcast interview with Donald Trump here. Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 VRAM is so fast, it beats the RTX 4090, says leak

Thanks to a big step up in overall VRAM clock speed, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 will have a total memory bandwidth that's actually higher than the RTX 4090, despite having a much narrower memory bus. That's according to a new leak that suggests the addition of GDDR7 to the RTX 5080 will massively improve its memory throughput. As what's expected to be Nvidia's second best graphics card option when its new range of gaming GPUs launches next year, the RTX 5080 stands a good chance of outperforming the RTX 4090 anyway. This would fit with the long-standing trend of new Nvidia GPUs where the current generation x080 card beats the previous generation x090 card, but we wouldn't necessarily have expected the RTX 5080 to outpace the RTX 4090 when it comes to memory bandwidth. Black Ops 6 campaign rewards revealed to remind you not to skip it

Coming off the back of what might be considered the worst Call of Duty campaign of all time in Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 6 appears to be pulling out all the stops with its single-player story. Black Ops campaigns are always pretty good, but BO6’s is already looking extremely promising. To make the deal even sweeter, Treyarch has just revealed a mountain of rewards that you’ll earn for playing through the campaign, and while freebies for clearing each mission is nothing new, having an enticing set of rewards is more important than usual for this year's COD.
