CBS Embroiled in 'Huge Journalistic Scandal' After Major Change to Kamala Harris' '60 Minutes' Answer Is Spotted

Every honest American knows that the establishment media lies on behalf of powerful people. Thus, when we point out instances of dishonesty, it often feels as if we do little more than multiply examples. Sometimes, however, those examples prove so egregious that, no matter how familiar they seem, and no...

The Category 4 hurricane is currently moving toward the northeast at 16 mph with winds of 155 mph. “Watch as traffic cameras on I-75 near Miccosukee, Florida, capture a dramatic scene of a tornado crossing the highway, part of the severe weather associated with Hurricane Milton. So far, two large tornadoes have been confirmed, with multiple other tornadoes spawning throughout the region,” Rawsalerts wrote. “A tornado outbreak could develop this afternoon as Hurricane Milton moves closer to the Florida coastline, bringing dangerous conditions. Emergency crews are on high alert as the storm’s outer bands continue to intensify,” the post added. The National Weather Service’s Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has issued a Tornado Watch for parts of Central and South Florida, warning that multiple tornadoes are likely to develop across the region. Several Tornado Warnings have already been issued on Wednesday morning, and this threat is expected to persist throughout the day and into the night. As Milton’s rain bands move inland, supercell thunderstorms capable of producing strong tornadoes, including those rated EF-2 or higher, are likely to form. Milton, a Category 4 hurricane as of Wednesday morning, will make landfall along the west-central coast of Florida late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, the National Hurricane Center said. With the threat of catastrophic storm surge and hurricane-force winds, millions of residents in Milton’s path have been urged to evacuate immediately as time is running out. WATCH:

CBS Anchor Met With ‘Race And Culture Unit’ Following Questioning Of Ta-Nehisi Coates

A “CBS Mornings” anchor who pressed woke activist Ta-Nehisi Coates on his new book about the Israel-Gaza conflict was forced to meet with the network’s “Race and Culture Unit.” Tony Dokoupil spent an hour with the CBS News standards and practices team and its in-house Race and Culture Unit, during which he was lectured about the tone, phrasing, and body language he used during his interview with Coates, The New York Times reported. Following this meeting, Dokoupil met with staffers and told them he “regretted putting his colleagues in that position especially the ones overseas and in danger,” an insider at the network told the New York Post. “There were tears. [People were] very upset,” the source told the Post, saying that staffers were “divided” on the situation in Israel and “troubled” by Dokoupil’s questioning of Coates. Sources told the Post that Dokoupil didn’t apologize for his questioning, which pressed Coates on his views of Palestinians as perpetual victims, The Daily Wire previously reported. “For as sure as my ancestors were born into a country where none of them was the equal of any white man, Israel was revealing itself to be a country where no Palestinian is ever the equal of any Jewish person anywhere,” Coates wrote in his book, according to CNN. Am I Racist? Is In Theaters NOW — Get Your Tickets Here! Dokoupil, who is Jewish, pressed Coates on this particular framing. “I have to say, when I read the book, I imagine if I took your name out of it, took away the awards, the acclaim, took the cover off the book, publishing house goes away, the content of that section would not be out of place in the backpack of an extremist,” Dokoupil said in the interview, according to CNN. Dokoupil also pushed Coates to answer why he left out so many facts in the book that are beneficial to Israel. “Why leave out that Israel is surrounded by countries that want to eliminate it? Why leave out that Israel deals with terror groups that want to eliminate it?” Dokoupil asked. Coates didn’t get upset or hostile toward Dokoupil’s questioning and responded by saying his book was not supposed to be an exact history of the conflict but about a different perspective, even though the perspective he put forth is the dominating one in academic and media circles. “I am most concerned, always, with those who don’t have a voice,” Coates told Dokoupil. Following the interview, some correspondents and producers at CBS complained that Dokoupil was biased toward Israel and showed that bias during his interview with Coates. On Monday, CBS News and Stations president and CEO Wendy McMahon and her top deputy Adrienne Roark informed staff that the interview did not meet the network’s standards for impartiality, Puck News’ Dylan Byers reported. While Dokoupil was forced into a meeting and to apologize to co-workers, CBS did nothing when anchor Gayle King lectured the father of an eight-year-old Israeli girl who was being held hostage by Hamas that he needed to have compassion for Palestinians as well. Tennessee Asks SCOTUS To Uphold Ban On Trans Surgeries For Minors Amid DOJ Challenge

Tennessee Asks SCOTUS To Uphold Ban On Trans Surgeries For Minors Amid DOJ Challenge

Tennessee asked the Supreme Court on Tuesday to uphold its policy shielding minors from irreversible transgender procedures as the Biden administration seeks to have the law ruled unconstitutional.  In a 58-page filing, Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti argued that the state’s law prohibiting doctors from performing transgender surgeries as well as administering puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to minors should be upheld as constitutional. The Justice Department has asked the court to block the law, saying it violates the Constitution’s Equal Protection Clause.  Skrmetti said in his filing that the DOJ was attempting to “short-circuit” Tennessee’s democratic right to make laws on public health.  “The people of Tennessee, through their elected representatives, took measured action with Senate Bill 1 to protect kids from irreversible, unproven medical procedures,” Skrmetti said. “Lawmakers recognized that there is little to no credible evidence to justify the serious risks these procedures present to youth and joined a growing number of European countries in restricting their use on minors with gender-identity issues.”  In addition to the DOJ, the law was challenged by the ACLU and several transgender-identifying teenagers seeking to block enforcement. A federal judge temporarily blocked most of the law before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld it in September 2023.  Skrmetti responded to claims of discrimination by saying that the law is focused on age and use restrictions, not sex. He also pointed to the negative health outcomes that have been associated with transgender procedures for children.  Puberty blockers can affect bone growth and density and cause sexual dysfunction, voice damage, and infertility, among other issues. Cross-sex hormones can cause infertility, deadly blood clots, heart attacks, increased cancer risks of the breasts and ovaries, and liver dysfunction. Skrmetti also discussed how many European countries have walked back approval of transgender interventions on children.  “Many doctors, States, and countries share Tennessee’s view on gender-transition interventions for minors; the federal government and others do not,” he wrote.  Am I Racist? Is In Theaters NOW — Get Your Tickets Here! Tennessee’s ban on transgender procedures on minors was signed into law by Republican Governor Bill Lee in March 2023.  The law was passed just months after Daily Wire host Matt Walsh released an investigation showing staff at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville discussing how transgender surgeries “make a lot of money.” Skrmetti referenced the investigation in his filing, saying that “lawmakers examined this live medical dispute” after media reports flagged VUMC’s activities.  The Supreme Court will likely hear oral arguments in the case in December.
