Oye Owolewa, the shadow representative of the House of Representatives from the District of Columbia, was hospitalized after a severe car accident. “DC’s representative Oye Owolewa was involved in a major vehicular collision resulting in his loss of consciousness. The incident occurred on 2600 Alabama Ave SE at approximately 5:30 pm. Rep Oye has since been transported to United Medical Center where he is currently in stable condition. We appreciate all well wishes and seek privacy at this time,” a statement from Owolewa’s office read. Rep Oye was recently involved in a major car accident.
