Low Tide Reveals Mysterious Footprints From Undiscovered Dinosaur Species

When the Tides roll out, exposing the beaches of Broome in Australia, the archaeologists roll in. At their lowest tide point of the year, the waters recede to expose fossilized dinosaur footprints like nothing you’ve seen before. @travfossils This large theropod (T-Rex looking) dinosaur once roamed Australia. On the lowest tides of the year the beaches of Broome reveal hints of a long lost world, with the footprints of over 20 Dinosaur species emerging from the ocean Among these are the biggest dinosaur footprint EVER discovered in the world measuring a jaw dropping 1.75 meters across (5 feet 9 inches)… you could literally take a bath in that footprint. Incredibly, no bone of this colossal monster has ever been discovered ♬ stellar – .diedlonely & énouement In the video, we see a large theropod footprint. This three-toed (or tri-clawed) dinosaur is an unknown species. It might be an Australovenator, a medium-sized dinosaur similar to the velociraptor we saw in Jurassic Park. However, archaeologists have never recovered a skeleton or even partial remains to make a firm identification. In addition to these unidentified dinosaur footprints, the year’s lowest tides reveal the footprints of more than 20 dinosaur species. Among the footprints are the largest prints ever found in the world! These super huge footprints measure over five feet nine inches across. Imagine them as an oddly shaped tub you could bathe in for size reference. Images from TikTok. The fossilized dinosaur footprints near the beaches of Broome are said to be 120,000 to 130,000 years old. Although the footprints are the most popular attraction, the area’s geological formations also contain the fossilized remains of many other animals, plants, and invertebrates. If you want to see the dinosaur footprints, there is an app for that. The Dinosaur Coast Track Guide app is available through the Dinosaur Coast Management Group, which also publishes an online, printable brochure. The Broome Historical Museum has displays and information about the area, including casts of the footprints. You can also visit Kronosaurus Korner for more information about the region, the dinosaur footprints, and other fossils. Several agencies offer tours to help visitors see footprints and other evidence of prehistoric life. Please share if you wish someone would ask about your favorite dinosaur. Breathtaking German Cathedral Took 632 Years To Build

Breathtaking German Cathedral Took 632 Years To Build

Still the pride of the Catholic Church, the Cologne Cathedral in Germany has a long history. Construction of the cathedral began around 1248 as the new home for The Shrine of the Three Kings. Reinald von Dassel, Archbishop of Cologne, had the supposed bones of the Three Wise Men moved from Milan in 1164. A shrine with gold figures is now one of the cathedral’s interior features. @trainpal Never gets less breathtaking to look at Cologne Cathedral,Germany #kölnerdom #colognecathedral #germany #gothicarchitecture #cologne ♬ original sound – TrainPal The Shrine of the Three Kings (see image below) became an important religious pilgrimage site. Construction of the cathedral, which would be the shrine’s new home, began around 1248. Archbishop Konrad von Hochstaden laid the foundation stone, and the Gothic-styled cathedral took over 600 years to complete. Work was halted during the Reformation and the Thirty Years’ War, leading to a 300-year lapse. Construction was resumed in the 19th century. During the 300 years, the north tower collapsed. Architect Ernst Friedrich Zwirner laid the groundwork for the restoration and reconstruction of the tower. The interior of the Cologne Cathedral was consecrated in 1848, but work continued until 1880. Image from Wikimedia Commons. At 157 meters (almost 516 feet), the cathedral was once the tallest building in the world. The two towers are almost the same height, with only a few centimeters difference. More than 20,000 people visit the cathedral each day. You can find out information about tours here. Continuing Work On The Cologne Cathedral Although officially “complete,” the building is constantly undergoing repair and renovations. The exterior’s black coloration is due to accumulated soot. Due to the building’s age, workers clean the surface using fine aluminum silicate microparticles and low-pressure air. The stained glass windows are a notable part of the architecture. The windows depict the tales of the Bible within the crafted panes. They allow colored light to filter into the cathedral. The Cologne Cathedral has the greatest window area in any church. There are more than 10,000 square meters (107,639 square feet) of windows. Workers have repaired damage to many of the windows from World War II and rebuilt the south transept window using 11,263 squares with 72 colors. The window creates an abstract tapestry of light within the cathedral. Image from Wikimedia Commons. If you ever travel to Germany, add the Cologne Cathedral to your trip list. The experience will not disappoint you. Please share if you enjoy incredible architecture. You can find the source of this story’s featured image here. Top 10 Songs With The Name “John” In The Title

The name John has ancient roots, derived from the Hebrew name Yohanan, meaning “graced by God.” Over centuries, it evolved through various languages, from the Latin Ioannes to the English John, becoming one of the most popular and enduring names in history. Its prominence is due in part to its association with religious figures like John the Baptist and John the Apostle, as well as monarchs, saints, and literary icons. By the 19th and 20th centuries, John had solidified its place as a timeless name, symbolizing strength and reliability. This lasting appeal is reflected in music, where countless artists have The post Top 10 Songs With The Name “John” In The Title appeared first on ClassicRockHistory.com.

You can try the new Commandos game right now, as an RTS legend returns

Long-form, grand strategy games like Civilization and Stellaris lend you enormous power over entire societies, but they’re sometimes lacking in urgency. Planning, scheming, gradually accruing resources and soldiers – the complexity is enjoyable, but I like a bit of pressure, the immediacy and chaos that comes from Command and Conquer, XCOM, and the other RTS stalwarts. It’s been 18 years since the last Commandos game, but now the classic stealth tactics series is making a valiant and much-needed return. Seemingly ignoring the experiment that was Strike Force, the new Commandos feels much closer to Men of Courage and Destination Berlin. I’ve been looking forward to this one for months, and now it’s finally playable, right now.
