CBS's Tomlinson Claims She 'Masturbated' To Network Cutting Vance's Mic

On Wednesday, CBS’s After Midnight host Taylor Tomlinson claimed to have a rather Freudian reaction to Tuesday’s vice presidential debate. As Vance attempted to fact-check the CBS moderators’ fact-check, he had his microphone cut, leading Tomlinson to claim, “Yes, I masturbated to this.” Tomlinson teed up a clip of the debate by claiming, “The only exciting moment was when one of the moderators fact-checked JD Vance.” In the clip, Margaret Brennan declared, “Just to clarify for our viewers, Springfield, Ohio, does have a large number of Haitian migrants who have legal status, temporary protected status, Norah?”     Vance then tried to get a rebuttal in before frustratingly reminding her and Norah O’Donnell, “Margaret, I think it’s important, Margaret, the rules were you guys weren’t going fact-check.” Tomlinson ended the clip there, but Vance went on to explain the CBP One app, which he described as an “Kamala Harris open border wand.” Still, Tomlinson replied to the truncated clip, “This is like a guy getting caught cheating and then saying, ‘But you said you'd never go through my phone! The trust is gone!’ Vance went on so long that the moderators had to cut his mic. It’s not like that at all, but regardless, Tomlinson played a second clip: VANCE: The CBP One app has not been on the books [mic cut] since 1990. It's something that— BRENNAN: Gentlemen, the audience cannot hear you because your mics are cut. We have so much we want to get to. Thank you for explaining the legal process. The point about 1990 was a fact-check of Walz’s attempt to counter Vance, but a detailed policy discussion about CPB One is beyond the reach of a host whose show usually revolves around memes and TikTok videos, “And before anyone asks, yes, I masturbated to this. A woman, silencing men? Yeah, that's going in the spank bank. Yeah. "Thank you for explaining the legal process" also sounds so familiar. If you've ever been on a date with a man, it's all they want to hear. ‘Thank you for explaining Steely Dan’ or ‘Thank you for explaining crypto.’” Most people, men or women, also don’t hide behind their gender when someone challenges them. Not only did the moderators go back on the word not to fact-check, the content of their fact-check was, as other fact-checkers like to say, “missing context,” which is why moderators shouldn’t fact-check in the first place. As for CBS comedy show hosts, they can spare us the details of what they do when they are alone. Here is a transcript for the October 2 show: CBS After Midnight 10/3/2024 12:40 AM ET TAYLOR TOMLINSON: The only exciting moment was when one of the moderators fact-checked JD Vance. MARGARET BRENNAN: Just to clarify for our viewers, Springfield, Ohio, does have a large number of Haitian migrants who have legal status, temporary protected status, Norah? JD VANCE: Margaret— BRENNAN: Senator, we have so much to get to. VANCE: Margaret, I think it’s important because— NORAH O’DONNELL: We're going to turn now to the economy. Thank you. VANCE: Margaret, I think it’s important, Margaret, the rules were you guys weren’t going fact-check. TOMLINSON: This is like a guy getting caught cheating and then saying "But you said you'd never go through my phone! The trust is gone!" Vance went on so long that the moderators had to cut his mic. BRENNAN: Thank you, gentlemen. VANCE: The CBP One app has not been on the books [mic cut] since 1990. It's something that— BRENNAN: Gentlemen, the audience cannot hear you because your mics are cut. We have so much we want to get to. Thank you for explaining the legal process. TOMLINSON: And before anyone asks, yes, I masturbated to this. A woman, silencing men? Yeah, that's going in the spank bank. Yeah. "Thank you for explaining the legal process" also sounds so familiar. If you've ever been on a date with a man, it's all they want to hear. "Thank you for explaining Steely Dan" or "Thank you for explaining crypto."

Dem-backed shadow group allegedly recruits right-leaning spoiler candidates to ensure Democratic control of Congress

A mysterious political organization with apparent ties to Democratic donors has allegedly recruited conservative candidates in various areas across the country ostensibly in hopes of siphoning votes away from leading Republican candidates, thereby increasing the odds for Democrats in the race. The group is called Patriots Run Project, the AP reported, and it is not a registered U.S. business or a nonprofit listed with the IRS.'When you try and steal an election by taking advantage of guys like Joe or any Iowans in this room, I don’t care what your party, we fight back.'According to the AP, Patriots Run Project has identified six individuals — all of whom are retired and/or disabled — to run for the U.S. House in competitive districts in Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, Montana, and Virginia. One such candidate is Joe Wiederien, a 54-year-old stroke victim with a previous felony DUI-related conviction who was tapped to run as an independent candidate against Rep. Zach Nunn (R-Iowa). Nunn barely eked out a victory in 2022 by just 2,000 votes, and he is now in another tough battle to retain his seat in 2024.Wiederien, an ardent supporter of former President Donald Trump, told the AP he was initially excited at the opportunity to run as an "America First" candidate. Later, however, he began to have misgivings and ultimately withdrew his name from the race after he believed he had been scammed."At that time I was thinking, well, it would be nice to be in Congress and get to work with President Trump," Wiederien said. "It looks like it’s a dirty trick now."Wiederien has also reportedly shared his story with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and filed a fraud complaint. Another group, Americans for Public Trust, filed a complaint about Patriots Run Project with the FCC.Rep. Nunn supports a continued investigation into the group and its apparent attempts "to steal this election." "When you try and steal an election by taking advantage of guys like Joe or any Iowans in this room, I don’t care what your party, we fight back," he told a crowd of supporters at a recent campaign event. "The stakes in November could not be higher."Evidence indicates that Patriots Run Project identified possible candidates through Facebook ads and surveys or by searching through political messages posted to the social media platform. Facebook later removed those ads because they appeared to violate the platform's terms of service.Meta, the parent company of Facebook, did not respond to the AP's request for comment.Once individuals had been targeted, representatives from Patriots Run Project then allegedly helped get them on the ballot. For instance, two operatives with whom Wiederien corresponded reached out to Common Sense America to help gather signatures on his behalf. Common Sense America is an LLC headquartered in Las Vegas and created just this past February. A company disclosure filing in Colorado lists the phone number of a co-founder of Sole Strategies, a Democratic consulting firm, the AP said.Documents further indicate that a liberal philanthropist in New York City was willing to pay Common Sense America $3,300 to gather signatures for a conservative candidate in Nebraska groomed by Patriots Run Project, the outlet continued.Thomas Leager, who is running as an "America First" candidate for a Wisconsin U.S. Senate seat, likewise apparently received help gathering signatures from Patriots Run Project, which collected donations from a string of wealthy Democrats, including David and Liz Steinglass, who, over the years, have shelled out more than $5 million to Democrat-affiliated PACs.In all, Patriots Run Project reportedly raised $20,000 and sent it to another Democrat-aligned firm to collect signatures for Leager, an unindicted co-conspirator in the alleged plot to kidnap Democrat Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in 2020. Leager ultimately gathered enough signatures to appear on the ballot this November and will run against Democratic incumbent Sen. Tammy Baldwin and Republican challenger Eric Hovde, the Daily Caller News Foundation reported. As some outlets have noted, shady election tricks are as old as democracy itself, and whether any of these antics is illegal is unclear.Rick Hasen, a law professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, said that while the scheme seems "shady and unethical," "it is hard to say whether any laws have been broken."Still, if nothing else, groups like Patriots Run Project further erode public trust in the election process."Whether it’s congressional or presidential races, this kind of activity is a real problem and it undermines the functioning of democracy," said Ohio State University law professor Edward Foley. The AP left messages for suspected Patriots Run Project operatives, but those messages were not returned.Spokespersons for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and House Majority PAC, a major Democrat PAC, denied any involvement in Patriots Run Project. The DCNF reported that Steinglass and Leager could not be reached for comment.Like Blaze News? 'Treasonous': Mayorkas wasted FEMA funds helping illegal aliens. Now he says there's not enough for Americans.

'Treasonous': Mayorkas wasted FEMA funds helping illegal aliens. Now he says there's not enough for Americans.

Hurricane Helene has killed hundreds of Americans across six states, obliterated entire settlements, and left multitudes of citizens homeless, hungry, and exposed in the dark. Help is badly needed. The trouble, according to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, is that the Federal Emergency Management Agency lacks the requisite funds. During a press briefing Wednesday, Mayorkas told reporters, "We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have. We are expecting another hurricane hitting. We do not have the funds." Congress recently poured $20 billion into FEMA's disaster relief fund and enabled the agency to draw on the funds with greater ease, reported the Associated Press. "FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season and what is imminent," added Mayorkas, before concern-mongering about climate change. President Joe Biden has suggested that Congress might have to approve additional funding for disaster relief. While the DHS might soon enjoy another cash injection, critics have raised the matter of where the original funds went — realizing that much of it was blown helping illegal aliens who have stolen into the homeland under Mayorkas' watch. 'We have a government that not only hates us but wants us dead.' FEMA's shelter and services program is a prime offender, providing "financial support to non-federal entities to provide humanitarian services to noncitizen migrants following their release from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The intent is to support CBP in the safe, orderly and humane release of noncitizen migrants from short-term holding facilities." The total funding made available for this program in fiscal year 2024 was $650 million. The funding total in fiscal year 2023 was $363.8 million. Hundreds of millions were previously awarded by FEMA for migrants through the emergency food and shelter program. Earlier this year, nearly $19.6 million in FEMA funds was used to pay for an illegal alien welcome center in San Diego County. In response to Mayorkas turning out empty pockets, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) wrote, "This is easy. Mayorkas and FEMA — immediately stop spending money on illegal immigration resettlement and redirect those funds to areas hit by the hurricane. Put Americans first." Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) tweeted, "FEMA spending over a billion dollars on illegals while they leave Americans stranded and without help is treasonous. U.S. citizens are dying. Pray for our country folks." "'The Biden-Harris FEMA spent over $1 BILLION on funding illegal aliens.' America LAST," wrote Rep. Eli Crane (R-Ariz.). "Let me translate: 'We are racking up trillions in debt with all the money that our money printer prints that we then take back from law-abiding American citizens like you but we exist to spend it on anything other than helping you,'" wrote Blaze News editor in chief Matthew Peterson. Elon Musk simply expressed disbelief, writing, "Wow." "We have a government that not only hates us but wants us dead," wrote Chad Prather, host of "The Chad Prather Show. "The onus is on them at this point to prove otherwise. They won't … because I'm right." While the DHS continues sinking taxpayer funds into aiding illegal aliens, FEMA will make a one-time $750 payment available to some qualifying Americans in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia so that they can buy food, water, and other supplies. According to the FEMA website, the agency's top strategic goal is to "instill equity as a foundation of emergency management." Like Blaze News? Once Human dev promises “strict action” against PvP exploit abuse

As new survival game Once Human continues to hold strong on Steam following the launch of its latest update, developer Starry Studio promises to tackle players aiming to “undermine the fairness and enjoyment of the game” in its new PvP mode, Prismverse’s Clash. The arrival of Once Human update 1.2 has seen the free Steam game push back ahead of rivals such as Rust, DayZ, and 7 Days to Die on the Valve storefront, but terrain exploits have caused problems for those diving into its newest game mode. One iPhone 16 icon was driving me crazy, but there’s a way to remove it

I chose the iPhone 16 Plus as my next iPhone, and the new Camera Control button was the first thing I tried. That's not the only new iPhone button for me, seeing as I upgraded from the iPhone 14 Pro. I also got the Action button, which is available on all four iPhone 16 models. With it came a visual annoyance that I immediately had to fix: The silent icon that's shown in the status bar next to the time. If you've upgraded to an iPhone 16 version from an old iPhone with a Mute switch, you'll see that Silent Mode icon pop up in the status bar the first time you use the Action button to mute the phone. It just sits there, quietly haunting you. If it's driving you crazy too, you should know it's very easy to get rid of that annoying icon. I'll show you exactly how to do it. Continue reading...
