Taylor Swift’s Bass Player Pens An Emotional Open Letter As The Famed Eras Tour Comes To An End

We know that the end of the Eras Tour had to have been emotional for Taylor Swift. She’s poured her heart into the best-selling concert tour of all time and left her mark on the music industry. She’s the headliner, the solo performer, but she can’t do it alone. It took dozens of people to make her wildest dreams come true, and they were all impacted profoundly by the experience. Taylor Swift’s long-time bass guitars, Amos Heller, did not let the opportunity pass to thank Tay for taking him along on the most incredible ride. He shared a lengthy message of gratitude on Instagram. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Amos Heller (@amosjheller) Taylor Swift’s Bass Guitarist Has Been With Her For Years. Just as her career began, Amos began playing with Taylor 15 years ago. Amos shared a glimpse into life on tour with Taylor and his words touched many hearts. He wrote in part, “It’s done. No more early lobby calls. No more airports. No more lugging a suitcase and Mono bag up an escalator, through a line, out of baggage claim. No more warming up, no more cooling down. No more looking at my watch 20 times to make sure I don’t miss a call. No more saying goodbye to my family, no more ‘how many sleeps now?’ No more jet lag.” The bass guitarist added a sweet message just for Taylor Swit, “You command so much respect and admiration from everyone who’s fortunate enough to add their effort to yours. Your blend of focus, heart, stamina and joy calls forth the best of everyone around you. Thank you for trusting me with my part of your vision. It was the ride of a lifetime. I love you. Long live.” This fan summed it up nicely, “Congratulations! Beautiful words & heart. Go softly now, enjoy.” This story’s featured image is by Kevin Winter/TAS24/Getty Images for TAS Rights Management.
