Thankfully, he has good friends like Oprah Winfrey to do that for him. During the Paley Honors Fall Gala in Beverly Hills, California, Tyler was honored for his media achievements, People reported. Oprah decided to give a nod to her friend’s generosity. When the Turpin kids needed help, Tyler Perry jumped right in. “Tyler saw that special, and he reached out, and until this moment, no one has known that Tyler Perry has been taking care of those now almost grown children, making sure they have the financial, the psychological, and the emotional support to grow themselves forward,” Oprah said. She called her friend a “fixer” and a “healer,” in addition to being a renowned entertainer. The Turpin children didn’t know Tyler Perry, and he didn’t know them, but he saw a need and helped. Oprah remarked, “Most of his charity, no one ever sees or hears about.
