Trump gives Zelenskyy hard reality check after Harris sugarcoats Ukraine's chances in war against Russia: 'Fair deal'

Former President Donald Trump met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at Trump Tower on Friday, where the two leaders discussed the Russia-Ukraine war. Before the meeting, Trump said he and Zelenskyy have a "very good relationship" and promised that if he wins the election, he would help negotiate an end to the war "very quickly." Trump has repeatedly stated on the campaign trail his belief the war would have "never happened" if he were still in the White House. The meeting came one day after Zelenskyy met with Vice President Kamala Harris. "I have been proud to stand with Ukraine. I will continue to stand with Ukraine. And I will work to ensure Ukraine prevails in this war," Harris said before the bilateral meeting. Harris, moreover, argued the U.S. must continue to help Ukraine fight its war, despite the U.S. already having sent more than $100 billion of taxpayer money to Ukraine. It's not clear how that money has helped Ukraine either win the war or bring an end to the fighting. Harris suggested the only acceptable outcome to the war is an unconditional Ukrainian victory, but she did not say how exactly that might happen. She also criticized Trump — though not by name — claiming that peace proposals are, in her view, "proposals for surrender." 'We'll get it solved. It's a very complicated puzzle, very complicated puzzle, but we'll get it solved.' The message that Trump shared after his meeting, however, was remarkably different. Instead of speaking in vague platitudes, Trump said that he "learned a lot" in the meeting and stressed the need for a "fair deal" to end the war. "I think I haven't changed from the standpoint that we both want to see it end and a fair deal made. It's gonna be fair. I think it will happen at the right time. I think it is going to happen," Trump said. "I believe if we win, we're gonna have a very fair and actually rather rapid deal," he added, stressing that he believes both Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin want the war to end. "So we want to have a fair deal for everyone," Trump said. "This is a war that should have never happened. It should have never happened, and it wouldn't have happened. It's a shame," Trump reiterated. "We'll get it solved. It's a very complicated puzzle, very complicated puzzle, but we'll get it solved, and people [will] get on with their lives. Too many people dead." — (@) Trump has not divulged his plans for ending the war. He believes that doing so would be a strategic blunder. Zelenskyy's trip to the U.S. this week immediately generated controversy after the Defense Department flew the Ukrainian president on the taxpayer dime to a munitions factory in Pennsylvania.Republicans have accused Zelenskyy of operating essentially as a Democratic Party campaign surrogate, and House Republicans have launched an investigation into the trip. "The [House Oversight] Committee seeks to determine whether the Biden-Harris Administration attempted to use a foreign leader to benefit Vice President Harris’s presidential campaign and, if so, necessarily committed an abuse of power," said House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.). Springfield residents: The Haitian invasion WRECKED our town

The left and state-run media are doing everything they can to hide what is currently happening in Springfield, Ohio — which is clearly due to the Haitian immigrants that the Biden-Harris administration has put there. Every story coming out of the overwhelmed town is labeled as misinformation due to “racism,” but Blaze Media correspondent Julio Rosas has seen the truth with his own eyes. Because unlike the mainstream media, Rosas went directly to the source. While in Springfield, he’s noticed that the public road safety issue is a huge one, as well as the lack of transparency among government officials. “While we were talking to the police chief, he said that well, supposedly in the Springfield area where there had been a report, unconfirmed, of a shooter at or near a school,” Rosas begins telling Jill Savage and Matthew Peterson of “Blaze News Tonight.” “Problem is, he didn’t know about it because Springfield told him through the radio, it’s because he heard it from another chief from a different locality,” he continues. “So I asked him why would Springfield do that? Why would they want to be less transparent? And it’s just because, he said, that they’ve received so much criticism, there’s been so much heat on the city.” Most importantly, the residents of the city are begging to be listened to but are being ignored. “They’ve said that the city isn’t listening to us, or they’re listening to us and then they just ignore our concerns. And we’ve seen that Springfield is not really being transparent with how they are trying to accommodate the Haitians and what that means for the services that are offered to its citizens,” Rosas explains. Peterson notes that the one thing public officials haven’t been able to cover up are the car crashes. “The accident of the bus that everyone knows about and was widely reported,” Peterson says, referencing the crash that took an 11-year-old boy's life. The crash was caused by a Haitian immigrant who did not have a driver's license. “When they’re crashing into school buses and other vehicles and other property and people are getting injured, people are getting killed as a result of that, that’s obviously going to raise the stakes,” Rosas says. Couple allegedly tries to sell 2-month-old baby for cash, 6-pack of beer because it's 'not working having 3 dogs and a baby'

A young couple in Arkansas has been accused of attempting to sell their 2-month-old baby for a six-pack of beer and money, according to court documents. On Sept. 21, the Benton County Sheriff's Office received a tip from a caller that the parents of an infant had offered to exchange the baby for a six-pack of beer as well as cash, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed in the case. The call reportedly was made from the manager’s office at the Beaver Lake Hide-A-Way Campground in Rogers. 'Disclaimer: After signing this there will be no changing y'all two’s minds and to never contact again.'Shalene Ehlers, 20, approached another couple’s camper and asked them for beer — which was a regular occurrence, according to the affidavit. The couple reportedly declined, but a man named Ricky Crawford allegedly offered beers in exchange for watching the baby overnight. Ehlers and the child's father — 21-year-old Darien Urban — accepted the offer and gave Crawford a diaper bag, according to court documents. When interviewed by a detective, Crawford allegedly said he was concerned about the baby’s welfare and wanted to get the child away from the parents. The affidavit noted that Crawford was in a "heavily intoxicated state" when questioned by police. A detective wrote in the affidavit, "Based on the totality of the investigation, it is believed both Urban and Ehlers created a substantial risk of death or serious physical injury by abandoning their minor child initially with an obviously intoxicated male and ultimately with someone they did not know."Crawford allegedly brought the infant to another camper where Cody Nathaniel Martin was staying. The mother and father met with Martin, according to court documents. The trio reportedly drew up a "contract" to sell the baby to Martin for $1,000. “I Darien Urban and Shalene Ehlers are signing our rights over to Cody Nathaniel Martin of our baby boy [redacted] for $1,000 on 09/21/2024,” the document reads. The "contract" had a stipulation: “Disclaimer: After signing this there will be no changing y'all two’s minds and to never contact again.”Multiple people reportedly witnessed the contract signing, and it also was recorded on cellphone video. Law & Crime reported that the affidavit reads: "They stated they offered to surrender the baby to Martin in exchange for $1,000 in cash. They stated Martin created an agreement that they videotaped to ensure it was legal, and they planned to 'legalize' it on Monday. They both stated they then left on the understanding the baby was given to Martin in exchange for $1,000 to be collected on Monday."Martin claimed he asked the mother why she was willing to sell her baby. “Martin stated she said it was not working having three dogs and a baby,” the affidavit reads. The campground's owner learned of the transaction and called 911, according to the sheriff's office. Urban and Ehlers were arrested and both given a $50,000 bail. They both were charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and attempting to accept consideration for relinquishing a minor for adoption, according to Benton County court records. Both charges are felonies. According to Benton County Sheriff’s Office records, Urban was released, while Ehlers was still in custody.Another camper, who had seen the baby and changed the baby's diaper, reportedly told investigators that the baby had "bad ammonia and fecal odor" and that there was a "heavy rash, blisters, and swelling on the baby's buttocks and genitals."The baby boy was taken to a hospital.Like Blaze News? Salon goes off the deep end, claiming Trump 'plans to turn America into a type of Fourth Reich'

The foreign-owned blog Salon has a reputation for publishing fake news and leftist rage fantasies. It was, therefore, par for the course when in the wake of the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks on Israel, Salon ran a piece suggesting that the Republican Party and Hamas are "both terrorist groups — it's just a matter of degree." Salon went further off the deep end this week, making clear with an unhinged article Thursday that it would not be outdone in absurdity by the Washington Post, which told its readers not to "scoff at the Hitler comparisons" made against former President Donald Trump. Salon's politics blogger Chauncey DeVega claimed that "Trump and his surrogates are continuing to channel and amplify Nazism and Adolf Hitler" in an effort to "turn America into a type of Fourth Reich," complete with a "concentration camp system." DeVega, a critic of the right-wing media's supposed radicalization of white men, claimed that Trump is channeling the identitarian socialists of yesteryear by bemoaning the rape of American girls by illegal aliens; by planning to deport noncitizen criminals and terrorists; by suggesting that migrants from a failed state where cannibalism has been documented may be eating local pets; and by planning to ban mortgages for illegal aliens. DeVega — who appears keen to furnish fellow travelers and potential would-be assassins with more hate-fuel less than two weeks after the most recent Democratic apparent attempt on Trump's life — further accused the Republican president of white supremacy, misogyny, and anti-Semitism. This last allegation in particular might surprise Trump's Jewish family members and supporters as well as the beneficiaries of his recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital and his multiple efforts to broker peace agreements between Israel and Muslim nations. 'I'm angry about young American girls being raped and sodomized and murdered by savage criminal aliens.' After doing his best to provide Salon readers with a history lesson about Adolf Hitler — neglecting to mention the leftist roots of Nazism — DeVega claimed that "Nazism and the various forms of racial fascism, and the other antidemocratic and illiberal political belief systems and ideologies in its orbit" are "resurgent in the form of Trumpism." The first example the Salon blogger provided to support his thesis that Trump is Hitler reborn was the Republican's suggestion that Haitian migrants have been consuming pets in Springfield, Ohio. Sen. JD Vance's (R-Ohio) told reporters ahead of Trump's debate with Kamala Harris that locals reached out to him, claiming some of the 20,000 Haitian nationals who have poured into their city of less than 60,000 have been swiping up wildlife and pets. In the debate, Trump said that migrants were "eating the dogs, they're eating the cats, they're eating the pets of the people that live there." Democrats and their media allies have disputed the claims. However, when meeting with residents in the area, Blaze News' Julio Rosas was not only shown possible signs of wildlife consumption but more damning signs of the fallout of the migrant surge. DeVega suggested further that Trump's stated intention to deport terrorists, criminals and the mentally insane who are in the country illegally sounds like proto-Nazi literature — apparently not unlike the kind advanced by Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger. Trump's offending post said: OUR BORDERS MUST BE CLOSED, AND THE TERRORISTS, CRIMINALS AND MENTALLY INSANE, IMMEDIATELY REMOVED FROM AMERICAN CITIES AND TOWNS, DEPORTED BACK TO THEIR COUNTRIES OF ORIGIN. ...THE WORLD IS LAUGHING AT US AS FOOLS, THEY ARE STEALING OUR JOBS AND OUR WEALTH. WE CANNOT LET THEM LAUGH ANY LONGER. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! The lawful removal of foreign nationals violating American immigration law and sovereignty would apparently amount to an "ethnic cleansing." It is worth noting that where the ellipsis appears in this Trump quote, DeVaga omitted the line, "WE WANT PEOPLE TO COME INTO OUR COUNTRY, BUT THEY MUST LOVE OUR NATION, AND COME IN LEGALLY AND THROUGH A SYSTEM OF MERIT." 'The 2024 election is a referendum on democracy.' The Salon blogger appeared similarly troubled by Trump's condemnation of illegal aliens raping and murdering American girls, likening his language to that historically "used to justify the lynchings" of black men. When quoting Trump's remarks at a rally earlier this month in Arizona, DeVega inserted the word "white" in an effort to insinuate a racist meaning. What Trump actually said was, "I'm angry about young American girls being raped and sodomized and murdered by savage criminal aliens. I'm angry about rampant inflation destroying our middle class, and the American people are also very angry about that and every other thing that we’ve had to endure for three and a half years." Although Trump's remarks angered the blogger, they may alternatively resonate with Americans in New York City, whose sanctuary jurisdiction for illegal aliens recently reported a significant spike in reported rapes. For example, Christian Inga, a 25-year-old illegal alien, was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl at knifepoint in New York City on June 13. Toward the end of the piece, DeVega leaned hard into the same Democratic talking points that helped set the stage for two assassination attempts, even turning out a rephrase of a go-to Kamala Harris line adopted by suspected would-be assassin Ryan Routh: "The 2024 election is a referendum on democracy and a test of the American people's character, morality, intelligence, and courage." Alarmist rhetoric like DeVega's on the left might account for why nearly 3 in 10 Democrats polled by RMG Research earlier this month indicated they believed it would have been better if Trump had been slaughtered on Sept. 15.
