Bob Dylan plays “All Along the Watchtower” after six years

After six years, Bob Dylan played again one of his most famous songs: "All Along The Watchtower", which became even more famous after Jimi Hendrix successfully covered it. The musician performed that song during his show last September 12 at the Blossom Music Center in Cleveland. The curious thing is that the show was part of the Outlaw Music Festival, headlined by Willie Nelson. But before Dylan's show, who played was John Cougar Mellencamp, who 90 minutes before Dylan, performed a cover of "All Along The Watchtower". According to Setlist.fm, Dylan played that song more than 2200 times during his career. Jane’s Addiction cancels tour and enters hiatus after fight on stage

Last September 13 during a Jane's Addiction show in Boston, the vocalist Perry Farrell assaulted the guitarist Dave Navarro on stage After pushing Navarro twice, Perry was restrained by the crew, and it was very difficult for them to get him off the stage as he kept trying to continue attacking Navarro. Farrell's wife said that the reason for the fight was that the sound of the instruments were really high, but now the band canceled the tour dates and entered a hiatus. Farrell shared a message on his social media saying that he is the only one to blame for what happened. Dave Navarro also released a statement signed by him and the other two members saying the decision was made to Farrell's behavior and mental health. Read Jane's Addiction note about the tour being canceled and the hiatus "To all the fans, the band have made the difficult decision to take some time away as a group. As such, they will be canceling the remainder of the tour. Refunds for the canceled dates will be issued at your point of purchase - or if you purchased from a third-party resale site like StubHub, SeatGeek, etc, please reach out to them directly. Thank you," the band said. What Perry Farrell said: "This weekend has been incredibly difficult and after having the time and space to reflect, it is only right that I apologize to my bandmates, especially Dave Navarro, fans, family and friends for my actions during Friday's show. Unfortunately, my breaking point resulted in inexcusable behavior, and I take full accountability for how I chose to handle the situation," Perry Farrell said. What Dave Navarro, Eric Avery and Stephen Perkins said: Dave Navarro offered a more complete statement on his personal social media, in an statement also signed also by Eric Avery (Bass) and Stephen Perkins (Drums). "Due to a continuing pattern of behavior and the mental health difficulties of our singer Perry Farrell, we have come to the conclusion that we have no choice but to discontinue the current US tour." "Our concern for his personal health and safety as well as our own has left us no alternative. We hope that he will find the help he needs. We deeply regret that we are not able to come through for all our fans who have already bought tickets. We can see no solution that would either ensure a safe environment on stage or reliably allow us to deliver a great performance on a nightly basis. Our hearts are broken. Dave, Eric and Stephen," they said. Jane's Addiction canceled tour dates September 15 — Bridgeport, CT — Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater 18 — Toronto, ON — Budweiser Stage 20 — Rochester Hills, MI — Meadow Brook Amphitheater 22 — Milwaukee, WI — BMO Pavilion 24 — Chicago, IL — Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom 26 — Indianapolis, IN — Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park 28 – Huntsville, AL – South Star Music Festival 29 – St. Louis, MO – Evolution Festival October 2 – Denver, Colorado – Filmore Auditorium 4 – Sandy, Utah – Sandy Amphitheater 8 – Seattle, Washington – WaMu Theater 9 – Portland, Oregon – Veterans Memorial Coliseum 11 – Reno, Nevada – Grand Sierra Resort & Casino 13 – San Francisco, California – The Masonic 16 – Los Angeles, California – Youtube Theater https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MgUgvaML80&pp=ygUPamFuZXMgYWRkaWN0aW9uThe post Jane’s Addiction cancels tour and enters hiatus after fight on stage appeared first on Rock And Roll Garage.

Paul Stanley talks about people who criticized Kiss over the years

Paul Stanley helped to form Kiss in New York City back in 1973 alongside Gene Simmons, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley. The band was active for 50 years led by Stanley and Simmons until they decided to retire in 2023. Although they are one of the most successful Rock bands of all time, with an estimated amount of more than 100 million records sold worldwide, there are many people who don't like the band. In an interview with Billboard's podcast "Behind the Setlist" (Transcribed by Blabbermouth), Paul Stanley talked about the band's legacy and people who criticize them. Paul Stanley talks about people who criticized Kiss over the years "I think it's been treated — well (the legacy), it runs the gamut. I think people who don't understand it or haven't understood it or for whatever self-serving reasons have looked down their nose at it have been far, far overwhelmed and eclipsed by the people who love what we do. So the people who dismissed it or haven't understood it, quite frankly, they've missed out. I find it puzzling that anybody could have a vehement response to a band or performer. It's just — that goes Psychology 101. 'Whoa, what's your problem?'" Paul Stanley said. Unlike his ex-bandmate Gene Simmons, who is already touring with his solo band, Paul still hasn't toured or played live since the end of the band. Last April, Kiss sold their catalog, brand name and IP to Pophouse Entertainment Group for an estimated amount of more than 300 million dollars. Pophouse was co-founded by ABBA's Björn Ulvaeus. Right after their final concert at Madison Square Garden in 2023, Kiss announced that the group would continue in the future, but just like ABBA recently did, as avatars. The idea is that the virtual version of the band can tour around the world non-stop forever. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yl5PGoy5X6g&pp=ygULa2lzcyBhdmF0YXI%3DThe post Paul Stanley talks about people who criticized Kiss over the years appeared first on Rock And Roll Garage.

The musician that Sammy Hagar said is his favorite of all time

Sammy Hagar is certainly one of the most prolific singers and guitarists in Rock and Roll, he first achieved fame as the vocalist of Montrose, also became a successful solo act and then was invited to join Van Halen. As a solo artist and part of those bands he sold millions of records worldwide and inspired countless generations of musicians. Although Hagar's career was more focused on Classic Rock and Hard Rock music, he has a really broad musical taste and a great example is the artist he said was his favorite of all time. The musician that Sammy Hagar said is his favorite of all time Sammy is known for writing Rock and Hard Rock songs but he loves Progressive Rock and experimental music, so the artist he said is his favorite of all time is Peter Gabriel. He revealed that he loves the original Genesis vocalist in an interview with ABC7 back in 2021 (Transcribed by Rock and Roll Garage). "Peter Gabriel. He is so passionate, soulful, deep, clever, wise and unique. He sings about stuff that I don't even know what he's talking about (laughs). And I'm going 'yeah, I'm buying it'. It was not the only time he praised Gabriel. Talking with Rolling Stone in 2016, Hagar revealed that he wished he had written "Sledgehammer". “This is so clever (The song). When I write a song about sex, like ‘Poundcake,’ it’s so fucking blatant. Peter puts this twist on it where it sounds cutesy-pie,” Sammy Hagar said. That song was released on the acclaimed Gabriel solo album "So". Released in 1986. It is his biggest hit in the United States. It peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The fantastic music video of the song won a record nine MTV Video Music Awards at the 1987 edition of the event. Hagar was not the only member of Van Halen who loved Peter Gabriel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJWJE0x7T4Q&pp=ygUMc2xlZGdlaGFtbWVy Sammy Hagar was not the only member of Van Halen who loved the former Genesis vocalist. The late legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen was a big fan and praised many times the album "So" (1986). That record has famous tracks like “Red Rain”, “Sledgehammer”, “Don’t Give Up”, “Mercy Street”, “Big Time” and “In Your Eyes”. One of his favorite songs was "Red Rain", and his son Wolfgang Van Halen already said a few times that he has great memories of his father presenting him to that track. “I’ll never forget him coming up to me one night with these huge headphones and going, ‘Wolf, put these one.’ And he put the headphones on my head and cranked the first song ‘Red Rain’.” “The soundscape of it is incredible. Everybody should do that at least once in their life, put an amazing pair of headphones on and crank Red Rain. It’s very hard to listen to now my father is gone. But that album front to back is Peter Gabriel at his finest,” Wolfgang Van Halen told Classic Rock. Peter Gabriel first became famous as the vocalist of Genesis from 1967 until 1975, when he decided to go solo. Since the mid-70s he maintains a very successful solo career with dozens of hits like “Solsbury Hill”, “Sledgehammer”, “Don’t Give Up” and “In Your Eyes”. He has sold an estimated amount of more than 16 million records worldwide. Until 2014 he released 10 studio albums, the most recent one being "i/o" (2023).The post The musician that Sammy Hagar said is his favorite of all time appeared first on Rock And Roll Garage.

Nanotech Vaccine Nanoparticles – A Bioweapon for World Population Control

by Paul Philips, Activist Post: As with the last one, the next global pandemic is sure to be blamed on a non-existent virus.
