Democrat Sheriff: Trump Doesn’t Get Full Protection Because He’s Only A Candidate

Democrat Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said at a press conference on Sunday following another attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump that law enforcement would take protecting the Republican presidential nominee more seriously if he was the sitting president and not just a candidate. Bradshaw made the remarks at a press conference following the attempted assassination at Trump International Golf Course West Palm Beach, the second assassination attempt that he has survived in the last two months. “The golf course is surrounded by shrubbery, so when somebody gets into the shrubbery, they’re pretty much out of sight,” he said in attempting to explain away the security failures that led to another attempt on Trump’s life. “And at this level that he is at right now, he’s not the sitting president,” he continued. “If he was, we would have had this entire golf course surrounded. But because he’s not, the security is limited to the areas that the Secret Service deems possible.” Secret Service representative Rafael Barros was asked what, if anything, the Secret Service has done differently to protect Trump after he was shot during an assassination attempt in July. “The threat level is high,” Barros said. “We have increased the amount of assets that we’ve supported. So we are, we live in danger (sic) times.” The suspect was armed with an AK-47 and was only a few hundred yards away from Trump when the Secret Service reportedly engaged him, causing him to flee the area. A witness who saw him get into a vehicle and speed off got a photo of the car and license plate which allowed law enforcement to quickly locate and apprehend the suspect. 33-Year-old Discovers Source of an Amazon River and Uncharted Waterfalls Trekking Thru ‘Brutal’ Jungle

A British explorer has discovered the source of an uncharted Amazon river, after being stalked by jaguars and ravaged by army ants. The area has only ever been mapped by satellites, leading to solely inaccurate coordinates due to the jungle tree cover. The daring 33-year-old, Ash Dykes, beamed with joy after finding the start of […] The post 33-Year-old Discovers Source of an Amazon River and Uncharted Waterfalls Trekking Thru ‘Brutal’ Jungle appeared first on Good News Network.

Dan Bongino Predicts Another Security ‘Incident,’ Says Secret Service Is Worse Today Than Before Trump Assassination Attempt

Editor’s note: This article was originally published Aug. 26. Radio talk-show host and podcaster Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent, predicted another “incident” with the Secret Service, claiming that the agency is worse off today than it was before the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania. After Congress began to ask then-Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle about the assassination attempt, Cheatle resigned, leading Ronald L. Rowe Jr. to step in as interim director. Rep. Eli Crane, R-Ariz., asked Bongino, “Is the Secret Service in a better spot today with Director Rowe in charge?” “No, it’s worse,” Bongino replied. He predicted that “something else” will happen, although he added, “I pray to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ that I’m wrong.” “[If] you think this is the last incident, you’re out of your mind,” he said. The former Secret Service agent said Rowe represents more of “the same people” in charge on July 13. “Kim Cheatle, the director, wasn’t even fired. She was allowed to resign,” Bongino noted. “She’ll go get some cushy job somewhere, and her deputy” got promoted. Bongino said whistleblowers within the Secret Service told him that Rowe “was concerned about the tie color of the agents on the detail because it seemed to imply they supported President Trump. This is the kind of stuff the Secret Service was actually wasting their time with.” “If you can explain it, then good luck, because that’s not the agency I worked for,” he quipped. Seeking Answers Bongino spoke at a forum on the July 13 assassination attempt on Trump, responding to questions from five Republican members of Congress: Andy Biggs and Eli Crane of Arizona, Matt Gaetz and Cory Mills of Florida, and Chip Roy of Texas. Erik Prince, a former Navy SEAL and founder of the private military contractor Blackwater, and Ben Shaffer, a Washington regional SWAT operator who assisted in security on July 13, also answered the lawmakers’ questions. Speaking at The Heritage Foundation near the U.S. Capitol, the congressmen presented video clips from July 13, showing that members of the crowd at the Butler speech had attempted to alert police to the presence of Thomas Crooks, the 20-year-old man who opened fire at Trump—an hour before the shooting. Mills asked Shaffer a series of questions clarifying how poorly Secret Service had prepared for a potential threat. Shaffer confirmed that Secret Service “didn’t take the communication platform that was given by local forces,” that the agency “didn’t take the surveillance drone offered by local forces,” and that agents “didn’t show up for the morning briefing to ensure that last-minute planning could be accounted for.” He also confirmed that Secret Service “did not access the water tower that has the highest vantage point.” ?Ben Shaffer, a Washington regional SWAT operator who took part in the security in the July 13 assassination attempt on Trump, goes through all the ways Secret Service did NOT accept help from the police forces on the ground. Secret Service: didn't take communication, didn't… pic.twitter.com/M46jU18DT6— Tyler O'Neil (@Tyler2ONeil) August 26, 2024 Biggs noted that rallygoers had first attempted to alert police to Crooks at 5:10 p.m., fully an hour before the shooting took place at 6:11 p.m. Shaffer said pictures of the shooter came across his text chat at “approximately 5:38 p.m.” He learned “within minutes” that Crooks had a range finder, which would have “automatically escalated” Crooks from a “suspicious person to a person of interest,” the level right below a “threat.” Crooks’ position lay outside Shaffer’s sector of responsibility and outside his visual range, the SWAT operator said. Jill Biden Comparison “President Trump was definitely deprived of resources that day,” Prince noted. The Secret Service “had one-third the amount of agents covering him as were covering Jill Biden in the same region at an indoor event,” he said. “She had 12 post-holders covering her, again no statutory or constitutional authority for the first lady. Donald Trump had four Secret Service agents assigned.” ‘Point-Blank Range’ Prince noted “140 yards is point-blank range” for a sniper. “Thank God that 20-year-old aimed for a headshot at President Trump, because if he had aimed center-mass, President Trump would probably be dead.” “A Hezbollah team, or ISIS, or you name the terrorist organization that actually knows what they’re doing, would have been successful that day,” the former SEAL added. “The Secret Service was nearly defeated by a 20-year-old, and we all, including Donald Trump, dodged a bullet that day.” ‘Grade School-Level Politics’ Gaetz asked Bongino why it seems that Trump, “one of the most threatened people on the planet earth,” deals with “limited protection.” Bongino emphasized that Secret Service “was definitely not a political enterprise” when he worked there. Yet he suggested that politics likely played a motive in the Secret Service decreasing Trump’s protective detail. “I absolutely believe Donald Trump and an enhanced security posture he should have had would have made him look more presidential, would have facilitated the logistical operation of him traveling,” Bongino said. “I think they were concerned about optics and making him look like a bigshot or whatever word you want to throw out there.” “They were making some of these decisions based purely on grade school-level politics,” he lamented. “I don’t want to believe that,” Gaetz responded. “I didn’t want to believe it with the FBI, either. … A lot of these agencies that have been, I think, subject to political capture. We want to think of them as above that.” ?'CONCERNED ABOUT OPTICS': Dan Bongino suggests the Secret Service understaffed Trump's protective detail because more personnel would have made him "look more presidential," more "like a bigshot." “They were making some of these decisions based purely on grade school-level… pic.twitter.com/sSf4Ast35y— Tyler O'Neil (@Tyler2ONeil) August 26, 2024 Rep. Laurel Lee, R-Fla., announced Monday that members of Congress launched the Bipartisan Task Force to Investigate the Attempted Assassination of Donald Trump. “On July 13, 2024, the American people witnessed a catastrophic security failure that nearly resulted in the loss of President Trump’s life,” Lee said in a press release. “The United States Secret Service has a no-fail mission to protect America’s leaders, and unfortunately, they failed at their core mission that day.” The task force, which consists of seven Republicans and six Democrats, aims to understand what went wrong on July 13, to ensure accountability, and to prevent such an agency failure from happening again. ‘TRULY HORRIFYING’: Questions Swirl After Second Trump Assassination Attempt

For the second time in three months there was an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. “The FBI has responded to West Palm Beach Florida and is investigating what appears to be an attempted assassination of former President Trump,” the FBI said in a statement Sunday afternoon. “Authorities just acknowledged if President Trump was president, they’d do more to protect him,” wrote Rep. Steve Scalise, who was shot by a gunman in 2017 when practicing with Republicans for the Congressional baseball game. “This must change.” “There have been TWO attempts on Trump’s life,” added the House majority leader. “Secret Service must up their level of protection of him to their FULL capabilities—including expanding the perimeter.” Authorities just acknowledged if President Trump was president, they'd do more to protect him. This must change. There have been TWO attempts on Trump’s life.Secret Service must up their level of protection of him to their FULL capabilities—including expanding the perimeter. pic.twitter.com/1EuT7HLEoS— Steve Scalise (@SteveScalise) September 15, 2024 While Trump was golfing in West Palm Beach, Florida on Sunday, authorities say a man put the muzzle of a rifle through a chain link fence around the course Trump was on. According to Fox News, the man was between 300 and 500 yards from Trump. When the man put the gun through the fence, the Secret Service opened fire. According to the New York Post, the man had a GoPro on the fence which was likely intended to be used to video the shooting. The man fled the scene and was later apprehended. The New York Post, citing unnamed law enforcement sources, said the alleged gunman is Ryan Routh. “Routh, who has a lengthy criminal record from North Carolina, frequently posted about politics and exclusively donated to Democratic candidates and causes dating back to 2019. He also bashed Trump in an April 22 post on X in which he declared, ‘DEMOCRACY is on the ballot and we cannot lose,'” reported the Post. The Trump campaign put out a statement shortly after the shooting. “There were gunshots in my vicinity, but before rumors start spiraling out of control, I wanted you to hear it first: I AM SAFE AND WELL,” his statement read. “Nothing will slow me down. I WILL NEVER SURRENDER! I will always love you for supporting me. Unity. Peace. Make America Great Again.” BREAKING: Statement from President Trump re shooting: pic.twitter.com/x2lPF9yTUm— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) September 15, 2024 There was a flood of reactions to the second assassination attempt on social media, including those saying a second assassination attempt showed the need for more answers about Trump’s security. “[W]e must ask ourselves how an assassin was allowed to get this close to President Trump again?” said Rep. Elise Stefanik, House Republican Conference chair, in a statement. “There continues to be a lack of answers for the horrific assassination attempt in Pennsylvania and we expect there to be a clear explanation of what happened today in Florida.” “Thankfully, God continues to watch over President Trump,” the New York Republican added. “Why isn’t the Biden-Harris Secret Service protecting Donald Trump?” posted Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., on X. Trump’s vice-presidential running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, wrote “I’m glad President Trump is safe. I spoke to him before the news was public and he was, amazingly, in good spirits.” I'm glad President Trump is safe. I spoke to him before the news was public and he was, amazingly, in good spirits. Still much we don't know, but I'll be hugging my kids extra tight tonight and saying a prayer of gratitude.— JD Vance (@JDVance) September 15, 2024 Vice President Kamala Harris put out a statement on X. “I have been briefed on reports of gunshots fired near former President Trump and his property in Florida, and I am glad he is safe. VILE: NBC, ABC Tie Second Trump Assassination Attempt to 'Rhetoric', and ‘Dogs and Cats’

As we exposed earlier, the Regime Media have wasted no time in blaming former President Donald Trump’s “rhetoric” for the second assassination attempt against him. The evening newscasts have now picked up MSNBC’s lead, tying the attempted shooting to the “dogs and cats rhetoric coming out of Springfield, Ohio. Watch as Linsey Davis, in her return to the Whirled News Tonight anchor chair since her horrendous moderation of the ABC presidential debate, ties the aborted assassination attempt to Springfield in her opening rundown: embed linsey LINSEY DAVIS: Tonight, breaking news as we come on the air. Shots fired at Donald Trump's golf club in Florida as the former president was nearby. The Secret Service opening fire after spotting a man with an assault-style rifle. One suspect is now in custody. The former president is safe. The details just coming in from West Palm Beach. The Secret Service treating this as a threat against the former president. Agents have detained a suspect and have recovered a weapon. This comes two months after the former president survived an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania. Pierre Thomas and Maryalice Parks lead tonight's coverage. Also tonight, Springfield, Ohio on edge. Local schools are being threatened with violence and a college shuts down activities after threats were made following the baseless rumors that Asian immigrants have been eating pets. Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance defends spreading those claims. The Ohio governor calls the rumors "garbage," and says the immigrants are here to work. After downplaying the assassination attempt in her opening rundown as a “threat against the former president”, Davis goes on to properly report it as what it is. The rhetorical link here is implicit.  NBC’s Lester Holt goes a step further, directly tying the failed shooting attempt to Springfield: embed curtis-holt LESTER HOLT: Today’s apparent assassination attempt comes amid increasingly fierce rhetoric on the campaign trail itself. Mr. Trump, his running mate JD Vance continue to make baseless claims about Haitian immigrants in Ohio. This weekend, there were new bomb threats in that town. Our Maggie Vespa is in Columbus, Ohio with more.  MAGGIE VESPA: Lester, simply put: Springfield, Ohio has been inundated by threats. over the last several days, closing government buildings, schools, hospitals. Today, effectively closing a local university campus after administrators said someone threatened a mass shooting targeting Haitians. This in light of, officials say, a false online conspiracy theory alleging Haitian immigrants in that city are eating people’s pets. NBC and the Regime Media waste no time in imputing the shooting to “rhetoric” and attempting to blame Trump for the latest, albeit failed, attempt on his life. Once the shooter’s motives become clear, how soon before the Regime Media retract? If they ever do at all?

No Surprise: ABC’s Debate Moderators Were Only There to Attack Trump

The debate tone was set with the first question. Debate co-moderator David Muir, ABC’s news managing editor, asked Vice President Kamala Harris: “I want to begin tonight with the issue voters repeatedly say is their No. 1 issue ... When it comes to the economy, do you believe Americans are better off than they were four years ago?” It is not just a simple question. It is THE central question of the race given that most voters cite the economy as their No. 1 issue. Harris failed to answer directly. Instead, she talked about her “plan” to deal with the economy. Former President Donald Trump should have pounded. That was a gimme, a layup. But Muir asked no follow-up. And this was just the beginning. Muir and co-moderator Linsey Davis often “fact-checked” Trump or asked him to clarify when dissatisfied with his answer. Harris received markedly different treatment. Before the debate, the conservative Media Research Center accused ABC of having the most biased of the three big networks’ nightly news programs. MRC wrote: “MRC analysts reviewed all 100 campaign stories that aired on ABC’s World News Tonight from the day Harris entered the race (July 21) through September 6, including weekends. Our analysts found 25 clearly positive statements about Harris from reporters, anchors, voters or other non-partisan sources, with zero negative statements -- none. That computes to a gravity-defying 100% positive spin score for the Vice President.” Trump stories weighed in at 93% negative. Harris’s debate lies include Trump’s alleged support for Project 2025, to which she referred several times. Project 2025 is a 900-page set of policy proposals by the conservative Heritage Foundation. Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-Del), at the Democratic National Convention, claimed Trump “wrote” it. A CNN fact-checker called this “false.” A Newsweek fact-checker wrote that an Aug. 26 post by the Oversight Committee Democrats said: “Don’t be fooled by Republican lies. Project 2025 was handcrafted by former Trump officials and cronies and ‘blessed’ directly by Trump.” Newsweek wrote: “While we cannot be certain about Trump’s feelings on Project 2025, the ‘blessed’ comment appears to have been misattributed.” No pushback. On abortion, Davis asked Trump: “Vice President Harris says that women shouldn’t trust you on the issue of abortion because you’ve changed your position so many times. Therefore, why should they trust you?” Trump replied: “Well, the reason I’m doing that vote is because the plan is, as you know, the vote is, they have abortion in the ninth month. They even have, and you can look at the governor of West Virginia, the previous governor of West Virginia ...He said the baby will be born and we will decide what to do with the baby. In other words, we’ll execute the baby.” (Trump meant a statement made by then-Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam about a failed abortion.) Davis, after Trump’s response, said: “There is no state in this country where it is legal to kill a baby after it’s born.” Breitbart wrote: “It is illegal everywhere to kill a child, or to decide to have an abortion after a healthy birth, but it is not illegal in some states to allow a baby to die after a delivery induced for medical reasons.” When Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Harris’s running mate, signed a “reproductive rights” bill, Patch.com posted an article with the following headline: “Tim Walz Repealed MN Law Protecting Babies Born After Failed Abortions.” The subheadline continued: “Five babies died in Minnesota after they were born alive due to a failed induced abortion in 2021.” Harris falsely claimed that Trump, about Charlottesville, said there were “fine people” (referring to white supremacists and neo-Nazis) on both sides. She repeated the Trump-said-there-would-be-a-“bloodbath” lie. She repeated the Trump-said-he-would-be-a-“dictator” lie. She claimed Trump presided over “the worst unemployment since the Great Depression” and that the Trump tax cuts only benefited the rich. No pushback. So, the question remains: To the family of four spending $1200 a month more for the same goods and services as four years ago, and to those concerned about the millions of illegal aliens allowed to enter the country under Biden-Harris, “Are you better off?”
