Violent gangs from Venezuela have made their way into Texas where they are now targeting critical energy infrastructure in America’s top oil field. Article by Ethan Huff, republished with permission from Naturalnews.com According to reports, a Texas-based oil and gas company issued a memo to its employees notifying them that both local law enforcement and the FBI are aware of migrant gangs from both Venezuela and Cuba that are committing thefts and other crimes in the Permian Basin. “Industry peers and law enforcement in West Texas (WTX) are aware of a recent increase in organized criminal activity inclusive of violent crimes, gang activity and oil field thefts in and around WTX operational areas,” the memo states. “These individuals and groups are armed, violent in nature and will not hesitate to use force.” The memo goes on to explain that the crimes being committed include theft of: • Oil • Diesel fuel • Copper wire and catalyst elements “Recent incidents have also included two assaults by water haulers who were attempting to steal oil from WTX oilfield sites,” the memo continues. “After the thieves were observed by witnesses who drove up to investigate, the thieves attempted to use their vehicles to run the witnesses off the road.” “In another incident, a thief, acting as a spotter and following a water hauler who had stolen oil, also attempted to run a witness off the road. Even people who don’t agree with Matt Walsh say his movie is a must-watch. The Daily Wire podcast host’s new project “Am I Racist?” is a huge hit on its opening weekend, debuting in the number three position and outearning Lionsgate’s “The Killer’s Game,” which was the second-biggest new release of the day.  “Am I Racist?” also made history for being one of only 15 documentaries to open in over 1,500 theaters after expanding from just 200 to start. The documentary had the third-highest opening day gross for a documentary in the last decade, as The Daily Wire previously reported. So far mainstream critics have mostly ignored the film’s existence even as viewers flock to Rotten Tomatoes to rave about it. As of Sunday afternoon, “Am I Racist?” has a 99% audience score on the site, with more than 500 verified reviewers weighing in.  The most surprising feedback comes from several moviegoers who admit that even if they disagree with Walsh on other points, they were fans of the film. Many of these reviews came from the Reddit subthread r/boxoffice. “Saw it yesterday. I’m not a Matt Walsh fan, but I really enjoyed it,” one person wrote. “It’s not making claims like ‘Racism doesn’t exist’ or anything like that. It’s all about exposing the anti-racist and DEI grifters who profit off of nonsense. Right wing Borat is a pretty accurate statement, but I honestly found this to be a lot funnier than Borat 2.”  “Even if you don’t like Walsh I think you should give it a chance, it’s really not as political as I think many would expect it to be,” the reviewer added. “Democrat who disagrees with matt walsh on everything but saw movie anyways with a trumper friend, it’s HILARIOUS,” another person wrote. “Most I’ve laughed in a theater in ages. It’s not like ‘what is a woman,’ it’s really not a political ‘takedown’ with any serious interviews or political stumping. It’s a straight up borat where the main character is more like larry david in curb your enthusiasm, goes around pretending to be an unintentional a**hole and creating tons of hilariously cringe and awkward situations.” The Redditor added, “Having seen ‘what is a woman,’ I was very surprised at the comparative lack of political commentary or serious interviews. It’s literally just right wing borat, and similarly hilarious.” A third viewer agreed, writing, “Liberal up in Canada, increasingly holding my nose as I vote for Trudeau. Honestly man, it’s surprisingly good. I was REALLY surprised that Matt Walsh could do the Borat thing. Sacha Baron Cohen spent YEARS perfecting the art. But, by the end of film, the comparison is in fact warranted.” The reviewer continued, “The film is hilarious and worth watching, especially if you’ve been on the wrong side of one of these grifters despite allegedly being in the same team.” The Daily Wire entered the entertainment space in 2021 with a mission to disrupt Hollywood. Vice President Kamala Harris and many others released statements on Sunday reacting to the shooting that threatened the life of former President Donald Trump at his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida. Authorities said they believe the gunman, who fled the scene when the Secret Service returned fire, was attempting to assassinate Trump. A suspect has been taken into custody. Trump previously survived a shooting in July. Trump released a defiant statement to supporters after the Sunday attack, declaring, “There were gunshots in my vicinity, but before rumors start spiraling out of control, I wanted you to hear this first: I AM SAFE AND WELL!” He added, “Nothing will slow me down. I will NEVER SURRENDER! I will always love you for supporting me. Unity. Peace. Make America Great Again.” The White House said in a statement that said President Joe Biden and Harris “have been briefed about the security incident at the Trump International Golf Course, where former President Trump was golfing.” Biden and Harris “are relieved to know that he is safe,” the White House added. “They will be kept regularly updated by their team.” Harris, who is facing Trump in the 2024 election, also posted to X, “I have been briefed on reports of gunshots fired near former President Trump and his property in Florida, and I am glad he is safe. Shades of Hillary's deplorables! Scratch a liberal, and disdain for the great unwashed masses of Trump supporters will often emerge. Just as it was in 2016 when Hillary let "deplorables" slip, so it was with Michael Steele Saturday, co-host of The Weekend on MSNBC. After playing a clip of Trump suggesting that Kamala Harris might have been given the debate questions in advance, and had something in her ear transmitting instructions, Steele said: "The fact he is running close in this race, to me, is offensive. Because it says a lot about us as Americans if you believe this guy." Yes, those Trump believers are offensive to Steele. He forgets Salena Zito's brilliant observation on Trump in 2016: "The press takes him literally, but not seriously; his supporters take him seriously, but not literally.” The people in Las Vegas cheering Trump didn't necessarily believe that Kamala got the debate questions in advance, or had an ear device transmitting instructions. Instead, many were surely expressing their support for Trump's bigger message: that the liberal media has things stacked against him.  Anyone watching the debate could see that it was three against one, with "moderators" Muir and Davis fact-checking Trump at every turn, while never challenging any of Kamala's false claims. And it's a fact that in 2016, Donna Brazile, then with CNN, leaked questions to Hillary in advance of CNN-sponsored events. Steele suggests that it reflects badly on people who are, by implication, dumb enough to believe Trump. Steele is offended that there are enough of them around to make this a close race. Steele's contempt only reinforces the belief of Trump supporters that the liberal elites truly do disdain them, and that the deck is stacked against them. Note: After the clip was played of Harris bobbing her head as she spoke at a rally, Steele—facetiously we presume—said he thought she wasn't well and that he was on the verge of calling emergency services. He added, "I'll pay for that later"—which might not have been facetious!  Here's the transcript. DONALD TRUMP: She can't talk about it without maybe getting the answers, what's the story with that? Did she get the questions? Do you think? So I hear she got the questions, and I also heard she had something in the ear, a little something in the ear. No, Kamala, do this. Say it this way, Kamala. Okay, be quiet. Polling, the Lincoln Democracy Institute did a great poll on political extremism in America last year, and one of the findings was that over 50% of Americans no longer see the political opposition as trustworthy opponents, they see them as untrustworthy enemies. And do, on the scales of radicalization by what, you know, after 9/11, the scales that were used, you know, to gauge radicalism and extremism in the Middle East, by that criteria, almost 13% of Americans are actually political extreme- extremists who are radicalized. And it's very scary. And it- how have we gotten to this point when the, you know, the demonization of the other side where we simply- ah, you know, it is no longer politics, it’s gotten bigger than that. The calls for violence. You know, rhetoric and then look at what happens and it, you know, this heated rhetoric can only go so far before, unfortunately, it, you know, it has led to violence on both sides of the aisle and so I think it’s just something that Democrats and Republicans have to be very cognizant about. What can we all do to take the temperature down? ALEX WITT: Yeah. Do you expect there to be calls from within the Trump campaign to do that? Because, he’s going to reach out to his supporters and say “let's take this down”? We do not know, again, the source of any gunshot or gunshots. We don’t know who is responsible for this. The whole thing has yet to be 100% confirmed from start to finish, how this all played out. But do you expect to hear anything from the Trump campaign about toning down the rhetoric? Toning down the violence? Or would that be atypical of the former president? JORDAN: Alex, Remember back to the assassination attempt from President Trump's life and how, you know, there was talk of a new tone and then the Republican convention was, by Trumpian standards, muted and it did seem like he was, you know, just trying to take it down a few notches, but then by the end of his convention speech, you know, we were kind of back to where we started. So I don't know how long this could l- you know, this moment of unity for the country where we come together and we say, “I don't want any political opposition to be under threat of violence. It’s not OK, any threat of violence, you know, we don’t want”. I would love for us to have a unity type moment, but it’s probably gonna be pretty fleeting, as we’ve seen in the past.    The shooter’s barrel had not yet fully cooled when these two were already trying to blame Trump. Jordan tries to be coy but everybody knows, especially given the Harris campaign’s positioning as a change against the incumbent Trump Era, that “the last decade” is really a giant dog whistle for MAGA broadly, and Trump specifically. There is also the broad smearing of the population as “extremists”, and the denunciations of the vague “calls for violence” and “threats” that in reality only go one way.  If memory serves, it was a deranged MSNBC viewer that almost killed Congressman Steve Scalise (R-LA) and a Capitol Police officer. Time will tell whether and how this shooter was also radicalized by “rhetoric”. This is a developing story subject to further updates.
