John Leguizamo is the kind of person who thinks political comedy is just ranting at someone with excessive amounts of swear words. On Thursday, Leguizamo stopped by Comedy Central and The Daily Show to claim that Republicans only want white people to vote by labeling GOP-backed election laws “bullshit.” Leguizamo was specifically ranting against the SAVE Act, but what he was saying could just as easily be applied to any state-level law when he recalled, “Just so everyone's up to speed, what this bill does is require everyone to register with documentation proving citizenship, like a passport or a birth certificate.”     He continued, “Maybe you're thinking, ‘Well, you know, if there's a big problem of non-citizens voting illegally, why not try to stop it?’ Well, because there isn't a big problem! There isn't even a small problem! There isn't a problem at all! Do you need to hear it in Spanish? No hay problemo.” Later, Leguizamo summed it all up, “So, basically, the only people these Republicans want voting is white people. So, if you want to vote, your skin better be as pure and as white as cocaine powder.” If this all sounds like fearmongering, Leguizamo was there to claim it was actually Republicans who were using scare tactics, “The point is that Republicans are saying illegal aliens are stealing our votes when in reality, they're the ones stealing votes by using racist fearmongering to suppress them and not only does this hurt democracy, but it also hurts real people, especially Latinos.” Trying to merge the topics of voting and immigration, Lguizamo then brought up his family’s history of living in Spanish North America, for some reason, “Because all the latest data is showing that hate crimes against Latinos are way up in America and this bullshit suppresses the vote and propagates false narrative that Latinos don't belong here, when we do! We belong here… My own family goes back 500 years on this continent, bitch. And we're almost done unpacking. Just got a few more boxes.” Does Leguizamo think that the fact that the Spanish Empire existed in the 1500s means illegal immigration to the United States in 2024 is no big deal? Because that is a way more radical position than asking for someone’s passport when they register to vote. She copied Biden’s plan, and it’s like four sentences, like ‘run, Spot, run.'” And this might actually be true, as her “New Way Forward” campaign included a description under the link to her website that said, “Join our campaign to re-elect Joe Biden today.” It was discovered after Kamala Harris released the policy agenda by users on X — who spotted that the metadata had almost entirely been lifted from Joe Biden’s campaign website. “So they literally did,” Pat Gray of “Pat Gray Unleashed” comments, adding that the ABC moderators saved her in the debate by ignoring her lack of policy, debating Trump themselves, and focusing heavily on her favorite subject: abortion. “We’d be pulled off the air if I said what I really feel about ABC this morning,” Gray says. “They started off with the abortion stuff, of course, because that’s the be-all and end-all to what the Democrats are about in their death cult.” When Kamala was asked about whether or not she supports full-term abortions, she refused to answer. “Ask her where the line is,” Keith Malinak says. “You say the Democrats aren’t for full-term abortions? Former UFC standout James Vick was unconscious for at least two days and was put on a ventilator following a recent loss, according to his promoter.The news comes months after a June 2024 fight in which Vick was viciously knocked out by a jumping switch-kick to the face in the newer Karate Combat league. Karate Combat incorporates most aspects of mixed martial arts except grappling. On a recent episode of the "Jaxxon Podcast," the hosts replayed the Vick knockout alongside Karate Combat President Asim Zaidi. The hosts remarked that the clip was seen by over 100 million viewers and is likely one of the most circulated MMA clips of all time.'They put him in a self-induced coma.'"I was there live, and it was such a successful event. [The knockout] ruined my whole mood. I just couldn't be happy after that," Zaidi told the hosts.The podcasters, including former UFC champions Luke Rockhold and Quinton Jackson, asked how long Vick was unconscious after the blow to his head."For a couple of days," Zaidi squeamishly replied. "They put him in a self-induced coma. And he had a respiratory [machine] to make sure he stays breathing."The promoter continued, "I went to him when he woke up, I stayed in Orlando to make sure that I could see him ... and he's like, 'What did he catch me with?'"Zaidi said he told Vick it was a "switch-kick," to which the fighter apparently replied, "Oh man ... I want to get back in there."Vick was a promising UFC prospect in his mid-20s, amassing a record of 9-0 in 2015.His first knockout loss was in 2016 to Beneil Dariush. Following another four-fight win streak, Vick suffered four brutal knockouts between 2018 and 2021. The loss in 2021 was on a regional promotion; however, he suffered a broken orbital bone as a result, prompting him to retire from mixed martial arts."[A] Few days ago I took the worst loss of my career," Vick said at the time, per MMA Mania. He then explained his injury.“My orbital is broke on my right side, the fracture went all the way through to the other side causing a Bi lateral break plus my jaw is completely displaced so tomorrow they are finally doing surgery to fix it. It really was a perfectly placed shot. The doctor said i could definitely fight again after this if I wanted to but this was my last fight. I can't keep putting my family through this."However, despite his pledge, Vick would fight again a year and nine months later in the Karate Combat promotion, losing a unanimous decision. He won a decision victory in April 2023 before the June 2024 KO loss."Thank God he's OK, man," Zaidi added. "But I can't morally want to do that. I'm not gonna put him back in there. ...
