Inflation Continues to Rise; Prices Have Never Been Higher

The Bureau of Labor Department released the consumer prices (CPI) rose 0.2% in August, while core inflation exceeded expectations at 0.3%. Economist E.J. Antoni warned that “Translation: prices have never been higher,” as Americans’ purchasing power continues to shrink under the weight of costs that continue to rise. Core inflation, which excludes food and energy, […] The post Inflation Continues to Rise; Prices Have Never Been Higher appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

Critical Swing State Senate Race Within Margin Of Error, New Poll Shows

The critical Wisconsin Senate race between incumbent Democrat Senator Tammy Baldwin and Republican challenger Eric Hovde is within the margin of error, according to a new poll out of the Badger State. The Marquette Law School released a poll on Wednesday showing Baldwin earning 52% of registered voters to Hovde’s 48%. The margin was identical for the presidential race between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, with Harris taking 52% and Trump 48%. With third party candidates in the race, Harris drops to 47%, Trump to 43%, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has dropped out and backed Trump, takes 6%. The race between Baldwin and Hovde could prove critical for control of the Senate as Democrats currently have just a two seat majority with Sen. Joe Manchin set to retire in deep red West Virginia at the end of his term. Both results are within the 4.6 percentage point margin of error that was given for the poll, which was conducted from August 28 until September 5 and surveyed 822 registered voters in Wisconsin. The poll found that the top three issues for voters were the economy (41%), abortion (15%), and immigration and border security (12%). Voters have generally favored Republican candidates on economic and immigration issues while backing Democrats on abortion. Tickets for “Am I Racist?” are on sale NOW! On Tuesday, he published an op-ed in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel criticizing the massive spending bills pushed by the Biden-Harris administration. “Inflation has crushed Wisconsin families, driving up prices and making it harder than ever to get by. To fix this problem, you have to elect folks who understand the root causes and how to address them in a lasting way,” he wrote. “Through a series of legislation like the Inflation Reduction Act, Biden, Harris, and Congress have added $4.1 trillion in federal spending on top of normal appropriations acts that were already causing deficit spending. They added more debt in the last 3.5 years than during our country’s first 230-year history.” The Marquette poll said that 72% of Democrats said that they were very excited to vote in November while only 63% of Republicans said the same. Wisconsin is expected to be one of the key states that will determine the outcome of the presidential election, with both Trump and Harris heavily investing campaign energy in the state.

Kamala Harris’ Top 7 Lies During The Debate

Kamala Harris’ Top 7 Lies During The Debate

Both former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris made a series of false statements during their first debate against each other this week. It is difficult to put an exact number on all of the false claims made by each candidate since some of the statements are made more as an opinion versus a statement of fact and some false claims are more egregious — outright lies — versus being slightly misleading, like mixing up a location. The difference between their false claims was that Trump was repeatedly fact-checked and hit with followup questions by ABC News debate moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis while Harris was never fact-checked once and the moderators never asked her any followup questions after she finished talking. CNN’s Daniel Dale laughably claimed that Trump made more than 33 false statements during the debate, while Harris made only one — a claim that is blatantly false. A rough estimate from a Daily Wire analysis of the debate found both candidates made a comparable number of false statements at more than a dozen false claims each. The following are the top 7 lies that Harris told during the debate: 1. Harris: “Donald Trump left us the worst public health epidemic in a century.” Harris’ claim is false because her statement implies that Trump was responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic, a pandemic that originated in communist China in what many experts say was a lab accident. The coronavirus spread to every corner of the world within short period of time. More Americans died with COVID-19 under the Biden-Harris administration than the Trump administration even though COVID-19 vaccines have been available for the entire time that Biden-Harris have been in office. 2. Harris: “What you’re going to hear tonight is a detailed and dangerous plan called Project 2025 that the former president intends on implementing if he were elected again.” Trump has repeatedly disavowed Project 2025 and said that it has nothing to do with him and he will not implement it if elected. 3. Harris: “I made that very clear in 2020. I will not ban fracking.” This is false. During the 2020 presidential campaign, she stood on stage at a CNN town hall event in 2019 and said that “there’s no question I’m in favor of banning fracking.” Harris has tried to carefully craft her response to this by saying that she is talking about remarks that she made during the vice presidential debate in 2020. But that claim is still false. During 2020 the vice presidential debate against Vice President Mike Pence, Harris never said that she would not ban fracking, she said that Biden would not ban it. 4. Harris lies about her support for a bail fund that helped those who rioted in Minneapolis in 2020. Harris made the false claim during the following interaction with Trump: TRUMP: … Like, she was big on defund the police. HARRIS: That’s not true. [mouthed, not audible] TRUMP: In Minnesota, she went out — wait a minute. I’m talking now. If you don’t mind. Please. Does that sound familiar? VICE PRESIDENT KAMALA HARRIS: Don’t lie. [lie is audible] TRUMP: She went out — she went out in Minnesota and wanted to let criminals that killed people, that burned down Minneapolis, she went out and raised money to get them out of jail. VICE PRESIDENT KAMALA HARRIS: That’s not true. [Mouthed, not audible. Shook her head “no” when he said it. Harris’ denial of her past actions is dishonest. She absolutely raised money for the Minnesota Freedom Fund to “help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota.” Kamala SHOOK HER HEAD NO when President Trump called her out for raising money to bail violent rioters out of jail. She's a chronic liar — her tweet is literally still up. pic.twitter.com/GdstSQctU7 — Trump War Room (@TrumpWarRoom) September 11, 2024 5. Harris: “Let’s remember Charlottesville, where there was a mob of people carrying tiki torches, spewing anti-Semitic hate, and what did the president then at the time say? There were fine people on each side.” Harris’ claim that Trump said that neo-Nazis and white nationalists were “fine people” is false. This has been repeatedly debunked by numerous news organizations, including left-wing fact-check website Snopes. Trump specifically said that the neo-Nazis and white nationalists should be “condemned totally.” Tickets for “Am I Racist?” are on sale NOW! Buy here for a theater near you. 6. Harris: “Donald Trump the candidate has said in this election there will be a bloodbath, if this — and the outcome of this election is not to his liking.” Harris lied about what Trump said in reference to his “bloodbath” comments. Harris insinuates that Trump was saying that there would be violence if he does not win, when, in reality, he was saying that car manufacturers would experience a “bloodbath” if he loses because Chinese automakers would take over the industry. 7. Harris: “And as of today, there is not one member of the United States military who is in active duty in a combat zone in any war zone around the world, the first time this century.” The U.S. has more than 3,000 soldiers spread across Iraq and Syria fighting ISIS and providing stability to the region. These soldiers have been attacked by Iranian-backed terrorists more than 200 times since Hamas’ October 7 massacre in Israel last year and at least 3 U.S. soldiers have been killed. The U.S. Navy is also operating in the region fighting against the Houthis, another Iranian-backed terrorist group. Father Of Boy Killed By Haitian In Springfield Says He Wishes Son ‘Was Killed By 60-Year-Old White Man’

The father of an 11-year-old boy who was killed by a Haitian immigrant in Springfield, Ohio, said during a city commission meeting on Tuesday that he wishes his son was instead killed by an “old white man.” Aiden Clark was killed in August 2023, when a Haitian immigrant, Hermanio Joseph, 36, crossed over the center dividing line and crashed into a full school bus. The 11-year-old was ejected from the bus, which flipped over and then landed on him. More than 20 children were taken to the hospital. Joseph is now facing nine years behind bars after being convicted of involuntary manslaughter. He was not licensed to drive in Ohio. “Ya know, I wish that my son Aiden Clark was killed by a 60-year-old white man,” the boy’s father, Nathan Clark, said. “I bet you never thought anyone would ever say something so blunt. But if that guy killed my 11-year-old son, the incessant group of hate-spewing people would leave us alone.” While everyone’s arguing over cats, remember Aiden Clark was killed by Haitian migrant in Springfield. pic.twitter.com/CDgj4tIeb8 — Ryan James Girdusky (@RyanGirdusky) September 9, 2024 “They make it seem as though our wonderful Aiden appreciates your hate, that we should follow their hate,” Clark, who is a teacher, said. “And look what you’ve done to us.” “Speaking of morally bankrupt politicians Bernie Moreno, Chip Roy, JD Vance, and Donald Trump: they have spoken my son’s name and used his death for political gain,” the father continued. “They can vomit all the hate they want about illegal immigrants, the border crisis, and even untrue claims about fluffy pets being ravaged and eaten by community members,” he said. “But they are … not allowed to mention Aiden Clark.” “My son Aiden Clark was not murdered. He was accidentally killed by an immigrant from Haiti,” the father added. “In order to live like Aiden, you need to accept everyone.” Springfield has garnered nationwide attention in recent weeks following viral complaints from residents about the massive influx of Haitian migrants to the relatively small community. Republican politicians have amplified residents’ concerns and criticized the current administration for the unprecedented border crisis. WATCH: The parents of Aiden Clark say they wish he had been killed by an older white man, instead of a Haitian, because they say his death has been used to spread hate towards migrants. Aiden’s father asks for Republicans to stop using his death for political reasons. pic.twitter.com/jzlzm5EI9q — TheBlaze (@theblaze) September 10, 2024 Related: What You Need To Know About The Ohio Town Overrun By Haitian Immigrants

Open Letter To Taylor Swift: Research Harris And Walz’s Anti-Woman Abortion Extremism

Dear Taylor, As a die-hard Swiftie since your career’s conception in 2006, I have always been your biggest fan. Your music encouraged me to live “fearlessly” and “speak now” on the issues that matter most. I took those words to the core of my heart and made it my life’s mission to protect innocent and defenseless preborn children from abortion. However, your recent Instagram post endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and your stance on a “woman’s right to her body” sadly leads me to believe you don’t understand the value of the fans in your stands and fans yet to be conceived. You see, I could have been one missing bright light at nine of your concerts if my mom hadn’t chosen life. At age 22 and a senior in college, my mom became pregnant with me. Despite her boyfriend and others pressuring her to abort and “consider other options,” she ignored them. Ironically, it’s the same message abortion supporters use to “empower” women to choose abortion. You’re a self-proclaimed feminist who said you did your research, but I’m doubtful. If you critically researched like you proudly boast, you would join the pro-life Swifties and stand against Harris and Walz’s late-term abortion stance. If you did your research, did you know that Walz signed the “Protect Reproductive Options Act”? It’s abortion-ese for legalizing and codifying abortion for any reason up to nine months with zero protection for babies who survive abortion. If you did your research, you’d know that Walz signed three bills for “abortion rights” while his Democrat allies in the Senate shot down over 60 amendments to help women and children, one of which is sex-discriminatory abortion. Because you consider yourself a feminist, it’s hard to comprehend how you could support anti-feminist, anti-human legislation. Tickets for “Am I Racist?” are on sale NOW! Buy here for a theater near you. Harris threatening to codify Roe v. Wade isn’t empowerment. It would encourage abortion by telling women they aren’t strong enough by prioritizing convenience over compassion and pushing death over life. I wouldn’t be here today if my mom had caved to the pressure. You have the platform to encourage mothers to do the same, and as a bonus, you have more grateful and enthusiastic fans. It could be easy to dismiss “one potential fan” considering the record-breaking demand for your Eras Tour which can fill at least 900 stadiums with approximately 70,000 seats per stadium. That’s a staggering 63 million fans—an equivalent number to the lives lost due to abortion in the United States since Roe v. Wade. All those bright lights “Bigger Than the Whole Sky” for one show multiplied by 900 over almost 50 years vanished—it’s hard to imagine. At your 1989 World Tour, you told your audience, “You have never looked more beautiful than you do tonight, all 76,000 of you. You should know one thing about me before we begin – I was born in 1989!” Your mom gave you life but remember that your entire fandom would not be here today if their moms didn’t embrace life. You, and everyone else, deserve a birthday. But back to your endorsement. Your statement isn’t merely a political statement; whether intentional or not, it’s a morally void one. Even if it’s an unpopular opinion amongst this young generation or among women, even you, Taylor Swift, will not convince me to stop standing against the poisoning, suctioning, and dismembering of a human child. Promoting a stance that allows for late-term abortions undermines the potential of those lives yet to be lived. There is a better stance that empowers women and preborn children. We can advocate for women without slaughtering their children. We can provide support, resources, and compassion to women facing unplanned pregnancies without flushing preborn children down the toilet through chemical abortion or ripping them from their mother’s womb. Taylor, at best, you haven’t actually done your research, and at worst, you’ve accepted and celebrated one of the greatest evils of our time. I hope it’s the former. Please advocate for Swifties to live out their eras in their truest form, beginning in the womb. Who knows, maybe one day you’ll embrace pro-lifers like former President Donald Trump embraces Swifties. Together, we can work toward a society that respects and supports all lives, offering hope and opportunity rather than division. I hope this letter serves as an invitation for further reflection on this crucial matter. Your influence can foster a more nuanced discussion about life and choice, and I believe that together, we can champion a future where every voice is heard and valued. ‘F-You’: Megyn Kelly Blasts Taylor Swift Endorsement Of Kamala

Megyn Kelly blasted Taylor Swift after the pop star came out and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president following the ABC Presidential Debate. In a Post-Debate Special on YouTube, the host of “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast reacted to Swift’s public support of Harris over former President Donald Trump, noting that the pop star said she was “impressed” by Harris “selection of running mate [Minnesota Gov.] Tim Walz for what she labeled his support for “LGBTQ+ rights” and abortion. Last year, Walz signed an executive order protecting life-altering gender procedures on minors in his state, as The Daily Wire previously reported. Under Walz’s order, people seeking gender procedures for themselves or their children will not face prosecution, according to the Minnesota Reformer.  “So this woman is fine with his [Walz] plan to take custody of the children from parents who don’t want them to chop off their body parts and put them in Minnesota court’s custody so the body parts can be chopped off and they can be sterilized outside the custody of their parents,” Kelly said. “That’s what led Taylor Swift to endorse him.” “Can I tell you something? I criticized her about six months ago, when she went to a fundraiser to raise money for Hamas, supposedly Palestinians, but the group that was doing the fundraising was known to funnel the money to Hamas,” she added. “And I said, ‘People should boycott her.’ It was an offhanded comment. People went nuts. Some lunatic dropped a note in my personal mailbox outside my house begging me not to boycott Taylor Swift, as though I have that power.” “I’m allowed to criticize Taylor Swift … This is disgusting,” Kelly continued. “If she wants to vote Harris/Walz, she can do it all she wants, but to say the reason she’s doing it is because of Tim Walz stance on LGBTQ. F you, Taylor Swift. And F all of the people who want to see these children have body parts chopped off and watch them sterilized under the age of consent, and then will ride off to their multi-gazillion dollar mansions never to think of them again … This is unbelievable.” The host pointed out that after Swift’s endorsement “the left is losing its mind” and said “she doesn’t care what happens to these kids.” On Tuesday, the “Shake It Off” hitmaker blew up social media after she announced her support for Harris. In the lengthy post, she called the VP a “steady-handed, gifted leader” and said she would vote for Harris “because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.”
