'You have been cruel to me': Controversial Olympic boxer Imane Khelif blames Elon Musk for 'hate campaign'

Controversial boxer Imane Khelif has spoke out following an Olympic gold medal, blaming SpaceX owner Elon Musk for an alleged campaign of hate.Khelif sparked worldwide backlash at the Olympics for competing against and defeating women, despite two governing bodies in boxing having claimed that Khelif is actually a man.The International Boxing Association disqualified Khelif at the 2023 world championships with IBA President Umar Kremlev saying at the time that Khelif had "XY chromosomes."Less than a week after the Olympic controversy began, the European vice president of the World Boxing Organization said that Khelif was among several fighters in the female category who were revealed to be men.'You have been cruel to me, cruel to my family, to my mother.'Despite the claims from the IBA and WBO, Khelif easily beat women en route to gold at the Paris Olympics without losing a single round in the tournament.Khelif recently told French TV show "Clique" that Musk was the catalyst for an online campaign that led to alleged hate."Elon Musk was one of the first to attack me during this hate campaign," Khelif said, according to a translation printed by the New York Post."He posted this video and it was retweeted. So, he was one of the first to have spread this buzz, this campaign against me," the boxer continued. "I would say, you hate me but you don't even know me. I don't even know why you led this attack. You have been cruel to me, cruel to my family, to my mother. At that time, my mother was going to the hospital every day.""I don’t understand the behavior of people today,” Khelif added.Khelif had previously targeted Musk along with writer J.K. Rowling and even former President Donald Trump when submitting a criminal complaint in France for alleged hate speech. The complaint was made to Paris' online hate speech office and claimed Khelif was a victim of cyber harassment. Rowling and Musk were both named in the complaint over "alleged acts of aggravated cyber harassment."Musk had publicly agreed with former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines when she posted on X that "men don't belong in women's sports," referring to Khelif. The X owner simply replied by saying "absolutely."'I am a Muslim Arabic woman and I got through this moment.'Khelif's lawyer also said Trump would be part of the investigation:"Trump tweeted, so whether or not he is named in our lawsuit, he will inevitably be looked into as part of the prosecution," the attorney said.Trump's apparent offense was positing a message in response to Khelif's first Olympic victory, saying, "I will keep men out of women's sports!"The boxer went on to say in the recent interview, "God is my guide, I am a practicing Muslim woman. I am a Muslim Arabic woman and I got through this moment."Khelif also alluded to returning to the boxing ring with the promise of being "even stronger."Like Blaze News? Ana Navarro puts her ignorance on full display while trying to needle Trump over Virgin Mary post

Trump posted an image of the Virgin Mary to social media Sunday with the caption, "Happy Birthday Mary!" The post ostensibly resonated with a great many Christians, Catholics in particular — of which there are nearly 1.4 billion worldwide and at least 52 million stateside. However, various radicals reflexively went on the attack. Among those prickled by the painting of Christ's mother was Harris booster Ana Navarro, a former foreign agent who is now co-host of ABC's "The View." In a desperate attempt to embarrass Trump over the post, Navarro instead beclowned herself. Navarro, a recent speaker at the Democratic National Convention and former national surrogate for John McCain's failed 2008 presidential campaign, responded, "When you obviously know nothing about virgins." The image Trump shared is a devotional image of the Virgin of Guadalupe displayed on woven cloth and located within the Basílica de Guadalupe in Mexico City. While Navarro suggested that Trump is ignorant of virgins, his understanding appears to have bested hers on the fundamentals. The image he shared — of the Virgin of Guadalupe — depicts the Virgin Mary. Where Catholics like Melania Trump are concerned, September 8 is the feast day celebrating the nativity of the Virgin Mary — also known as her birthday. Christians outside Mexico have been celebrating Mary's birthday, as Trump had, since at least the sixth century. 'Can somebody please tell this idiota to show some respect.' Some individuals online who attempted to extract sense from Navarro's tweet concluded that the former Contras campaigner was herself perhaps unclear about what "virgin" meant, at least in the case of Mary — that Navarro believed that the Virgin Mary had no birthday. While the Catholic Church holds that Mary was "preserved immune from all stain of original stain" from the first moment of her conception, it nevertheless maintains she was still conceived and born, hence her centuries-old birthday celebration. In the face of significant backlash online over her failed attack, Navarro indicated why she was upset in an edited Instagram post. Navarro wrote, "I mean, I know Trump knows nothing about virgins, but even for him, this is ridiculous. Can somebody please tell this idiota to show some respect. September 8th is the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Feast Day of La Virgén de la Caridad del Cobre, patron Virgin of Cuba. This is the Virgin of Guadalupe - Patron Virgin of Mexico. Her Feast Day is Dec 12th. I can't. I just can't." The religious figure celebrated in each of those feasts is the same depicted in the image Trump shared Sunday. It appears Navarro either regards them as distinct entities or the image used by Trump to be regionally exclusive. Navarro told CNN talking head Erin Burnett in 2016 that "maybe if the Virgin Mary appeared to me and asked me to do it, I would consider [voting for Trump]." Clearly, the co-host of "The View" will take more convincing than a post she failed to appreciate. Like Blaze News? New California law could censor memes that criticize politicians during elections

A bill from the California legislature could prevent the distribution of memes in election season because they could be deceptive or damage a political candidate's reputation. The bill is called the Defending Democracy from Deepfake Deception Act of 2024 and is ready for Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom's signature. The governor has until the end of September 2024 to sign it into law. The bill's digest notes that existing law prohibits any person or entity from distributing deceptive audio or visual media about a candidate for elected office within 60 days of the election if it intends to "injure the candidate’s reputation or to deceive a voter into voting for or against the candidate. " The new bill would require any "large online platform" to block content deemed deceptive during the periods before and after an election. As such, social media platforms would be required to label content as "inauthentic, fake, or false" during these specified periods, which would be 120 days before an election and 60 days after an election, per Reclaim the Net. Simply put, if any memes or images contain AI-generated material about a candidate or anything that would damage the candidate's reputation, they could be taken down in California. Political ad campaigns would have to disclose if their ads contained content generated by artificial intelligence. Platforms would also be required under the law to develop reporting procedures for California residents so that they can flag any content that "has not been blocked or labeled in compliance with the act." If platforms do not comply, candidates, officials, elections officials, the attorney general, and district or city attorneys could sue the websites. The bill said it would "exempt content that is satire or parody," but at whose discretion is still up in the air. Despite this caveat, Governor Newsom has already vocalized support for legislation banning parody. After X owner Elon Musk reshared an obviously fake Kamala Harris campaign ad, Newsom called for similar content to be illegal. "Manipulating a voice in an 'ad' like this one should be illegal," Newsom wrote on July 28. "I'll be signing a bill in a matter of weeks to make sure it is." Musk retorted, "I checked with renowned world authority, Professor Suggon Deeznutz, and he said parody is legal in America." Like Blaze News? Is this the AMD Ryzen CPU that will power the Steam Deck 2?

Work is well underway on the AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme chip, which looks set to power the next generation of Asus ROG Ally handhelds and many others. It will compete with Intel's Lunar Lake chips and is based on the Strix Point architecture. AMD already powers some of the best handheld gaming PCs, including Valve's Steam Deck and the Asus ROG Ally X, but this new chip looks to improve upon multiple facets of performance including better memory optimization and power management. This terrible Nvidia GPU is now somehow a $1,000 fashion accessory

Can’t forget the glory days of 2014, when you were playing games on your Nvidia GeForce GT 730? No, me neither. It wasn’t a card for serious gamers, even when it launched in 2014, but it was a cheap and cheerful GPU that was almost certainly an improvement on integrated graphics. Ten years on, it’s back, in purse form. The GeForce GT 730 purse for the “GPU rich” can be yours for the cool, cool cost of $1,024. Yes, that’s right. You can now buy a mediocre Nvidia graphics card from a decade ago, slapped into a plastic enclosure with a fan and a chain strap, and use it to carry all of your belongings for roughly the same cost as an RTX 4080 Super, which is still one of the best graphics cards out there. As far as best graphics card-purse combos go, though, there aren’t any others right now, so this GT 730 is your only option, as far as we know. Best Black Ops 6 DM-10 loadout

What is the best Black Ops 6 DM-10 loadout? It’s easy to focus on assault rifles and SMGs when you’re trying to level up in Black Ops 6 as these weapons are easy to use, but you could be missing out on a different gun that suits you better. The semi-auto DM-10 marksman rifle in Black Ops 6 certainly won’t be for every type of player due to its heavy weight and slow fire rate. That said, if you enjoy blasting enemies away from range in only a couple of clicks, you won’t find many Black Ops 6 weapons better than the DM-10. The DM-10 feels like a stronger version of the Tanto .22 loadout, so if you like this SMG, you’re bound to love this marksman rifle. EA FC 25 system requirements suggest EA doesn’t care for PC players

While playing football on PC has never been the most demanding task, I expected more from the EA Sports FC 25 system requirements than for them to be a carbon copy of last year's listing. Well, that's not entirely true, the requirements are listed in reverse order and little details such as CPU clock speeds have been removed, so if anything, less effort has gone into preparing this year's requirements. News is steadily tricking ahead of the EA Sports FC 25 release date, but the system requirements aren't typically considered all that exciting. However, the sheer lack of effort that has seemingly gone into the listing could be cause for concern, even if the yearly football franchise hasn't implemented any huge graphical or technical changes this year.
