'What if I wasn't Tyreek Hill?' Police officer placed on leave after Miami Dolphins star is handcuffed hours before game

NFL wide receiver Tyreek Hill was arrested during a traffic stop just hours before his Miami Dolphins hosted their first game of the season. His teammate was also detained during the altercation. On his way to the stadium, Hill was stopped in his sports car and detained by police on the ground, a video showed. ESPN's Jeff Darlington said the athlete was cited for reckless driving and got into a verbal altercation with police when he was pulled over.A video circulated online showing three officers detaining Hill, with the star player laying face down on the pavement in handcuffs. It would later be reported that Dolphins defensive tackle Calais Campbell was also handcuffed during the traffic stop after allegedly trying to de-escalate the situation."They put handcuffs on me too, and I was like 'What's going on?' I didn't understand what the issue was,” Campbell told the NFL Network, per CNN. — (@) 'I wasn't disrespectful because my mom didn't raise me that way.'Both players were released in time for the Dolphins season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars where Hill shined, leading his team in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns. After an 80-yard touchdown by Hill, the Dolphins completed a second-half comeback to win 20-17.Following the game, Hill spoke at a press conference and expressed confusion over his detainment. When asked why he was pulled over, he told reporters it was for speeding but also that he wasn't sure why the situation played out the way it did."I wasn't disrespectful because my mom didn't raise me that way, didn't cuss, didn’t do none of that. Like I said, I'm still trying to figure it out," Hill said.Hill's agent Drew Rosenhaus said that the wide receiver "got a ticket for a moving violation [while] entering the stadium.""How things escalated into the situation that they were in, in handcuffs and being held on the ground with police is mind-boggling to me," the agent added.Later in the day, Miami-Dade Police Department Director Stephanie V. Daniels said one of the officers involved in the incident had been placed on administrative leave.“Following the incident involving Tyreek Hill, I have initiated an Internal Affairs investigation to ensure a thorough review of the matter," a statement posted to X read. "I'm committed to transparency and accountability to the community with any situation involving my officers," the police director added. — (@) Hill went on to tell reporters that he hoped to be a police officer one day and that he wants to use his platform to team up with the police department in the future to make a positive impact. The star player also expressed concern about what might have happened if he weren't a famous athlete, citing that he didn't "name drop" or let the police know that he was a football player."I wasn't raised like that," he reiterated. "What if I wasn't Tyreek Hill? Worst case scenario, you know, because it's crazy. I want to be a cop one day. I got a state trooper hat, all that, you know? So, I got a lot of respect for cops, man. But, obviously everybody has bad apples in every situation."The Miami Dolphins host the Buffalo Bills at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Thursday, September 12.Like Blaze News? Deion Sanders' toxic Colorado culture leads to FISTFIGHT

Deion Sanders' toxic Colorado culture leads to FISTFIGHT

Jason Whitlock pulls no punches when it comes to criticizing Deion Sanders’ leadership over the Colorado Buffaloes football program at the University of Colorado Boulder. Simply put, Whitlock doesn’t respect the culture Sanders has created, and the latest scandal — a fistfight between former special teams coach Trevor Reilly and a graduate assistant — proves it. Whitlock and "Last Chance U’s" coach Jason Brown analyze the footage of the fight, which was recently released by Athlon Sports. In the video, Warren Sapp — former NFL player and current senior quality control analyst for the Colorado Buffaloes — can be heard laughing and joking about the fight. According to Whitlock, the footage speaks to “just how much masculine energy there is on a football team.” “I'm asking you though, as a former coach, is this a big deal? Is this common? Does it say something bad about Deion’s program? Or is it, ‘hey man, this is what goes on and people just don't know’?” he asks Brown. Deion Sanders' TOXIC Colorado Culture Leads to Fist Fight www.youtube.com “The Warren Sapp commentary, I'm just going to be honest, that is a bad look on Deion's part,” says Brown. “I better not see something leak on social media with my staff or members of it talking about something else that's going on within our infrastructure or in our house,” he continues, adding, “For that to leak out ... shows me that there's something missing there with leadership.” On the other hand, Brown recognizes that these kinds of incidents are common. However, it’s Colorado’s intentional publicity that’s problematic. “I bet you it happens everywhere, Jason. I just bet you it's not out there on so many social media platforms because a more seasoned veteran head coach probably has nipped it in the bud,” he says. Jason agrees and points to other failures on the part of Sanders. “They're inviting gangster rappers into their locker room to rap and to entertain the kids,” he condemns, adding that gangster rappers’ “death rate by violence” is “the highest of any profession in American history.” “Inviting a violent culture into an already intense situation — 100 dudes in a locker room playing a masculine sport like football — and you're just throwing logs on that fire,” he says. “People are sitting there saying, ‘I'm not surprised that their coaches are fighting and it's captured on tape and that people are giggling about it.”’ To hear more of the conversation, watch the clip above. Glenn Beck and Tucker Carlson discuss spiritual battle playing out in politics: 'That's Satan's plan'

Glenn Beck joined Tucker Carlson in Salt Lake City on Saturday as part of the fourth stop in Carlson's live tour across the United States. They discussed the current state of politics, the "end times," and the spiritual battle between good and evil."I sat with some biblical scholars, some real scholars, and they were teaching me about the end times. And the whole time, I'm like, 'This sounds familiar. Think I'm seeing some of this now,'" Beck told Carlson.'We're fighting the same battle we have fought from the very beginning.'"It feels like the end times. Enough of the signs are here that it could happen quickly," he added.Carlson asked, "What are you noticing that makes you think this has been foretold?""The breakdown of society," Beck responded. "The destruction of women alone is awesome in its evilness. It is staggering how evil that is."He continued, "There's more good than there is evil, but we are not standing up. Stand up and say it out loud, 'That's wrong; that's evil. That will not happen around me on my watch, period.'"During the hour-long conversation, they discussed how some politicians are "working for evil" by pushing for gender-mutilating surgeries for children, advocating for abortions, and battling against free speech."If our churches would just say, 'Go out and vote and use the scriptures to tell you the difference between right and wrong,'" Beck said."We're fighting the same battle we have fought from the very beginning. This is as old as the Tower of Babel; it's as old as Satan being cast out," he stated. "What did Satan say? 'I'll bring them all back to you, Father. I'll bring them all back, but I want the credit. I'll tell them what to do, and you won't lose any of them,'" Beck continued, referencing the Book of Mormon. "Jesus said, 'Send me. They're going to make mistakes, but I will sacrifice myself. I will die so they can live again.' Which one did God choose? Jesus."Beck explained how some politicians are promoting Satan's strategy."We're having the same argument," he remarked. "All of these politicians are saying, 'Give me the credit. I'll tell them exactly what to do. Nobody will be hurt. Nobody's going to be running with a stick that could poke out their eye. Nobody will have guns. And if that doesn't work, nobody will have knives. Nobody will have choice because nobody can fail because that causes problems. That's Satan's plan. That's not Jesus."Beck noted that "God believes in individual choice.""You can either wallow in your problems or you can conquer them and put them in the right place — in the rearview mirror because you've learned from it, and it no longer has power over you. That's the plan of God," he added.Carlson and Beck also talked about the recent assassination attempt against Republican presidential nominee and former President Donald Trump."As a fiction writer, I would say that was an 'Op.' They tried to kill the president of the United States," Beck replied.Carlson remarked, "I think we can say conclusively, the Biden administration allowed that to happen, period. They literally allowed that to happen. Whether knowingly or not, they allowed it to happen."Like Blaze News? Tren de Aragua threat should be taken 'very seriously,' California undersheriff says

SANTEE, Calif. — In the city hall, near the base of the hills surrounding the border town of Santee, California, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) led a House Judiciary Committee field hearing to discuss the impacts of the immigration crisis on the Golden State, where many non-Central Americans have illegally entered into the United States. California was initially spared the brunt of the record number of illegal border crossings at the start of the Biden-Harris administration, but as time went on, people from countries such as China reportedly started to take advantage of the country's open border. Now, years after the crisis started, international gangs unknown in the United States prior to 2021 have established themselves in multiple cities across the country. Riverside County Undersheriff Don Sharp testified that even though his county does not sit directly on the border like San Diego County, his department has been busy dealing with the human and drug trafficking that has made its way past Border Patrol. 'We try to to interdict these people ... to get ahead of it.' "In Riverside County alone, our narcotics unit seized 359 pounds of fentanyl and over 2.3 million fentanyl pills in 2023. ... What did we miss? We know we missed plenty," Sharp lamented, noting that his deputies respond to fentanyl overdose cases on a daily basis. Sharp confirmed that since Border Patrol agents have been taken off the line to process and watch over illegal immigrants who give themselves up, the drug loads and human trafficking operations have become bigger. Sharp told Blaze News that the threat with gangs like Tren de Aragua is real and should be taken "very seriously." The Venezuelan gang made national headlines once again in recent days, this time for terrorizing residents in apartments in Aurora, Colorado. "These groups basically create a hub for themselves, like they do at those apartment complexes. They then have a place that they can now use people as victims and start controlling the area. ... We try to to interdict these people ... to get ahead of it before they end up in these locations across the nation," Sharp said. "Several committees in Congress are looking into how to undo the damage. Some of that, in the case of Venezuela, it is virtually impossible for us to get Venezuelan cooperation. However, all of these individuals that are now operating in the United States came in through Mexico. It is possible to have Mexico stop it. It is even possible to deport to Mexico people who were wrongfully allowed to pass through Mexico," Issa explained. The arrival of the South American gang in places like Colorado, Illinois, and Florida has put law enforcement on high alert, even though in the Aurora case, local officials are downplaying the threat. Colorado Governor Jared Polis (D) in 2023 praised the Biden-Harris administration for expanding protections for Venezuelans who are in the U.S. because they are searching for "a better life in America and who can now help contribute to our economy and fill much-needed jobs.""They have been involved in numerous crimes throughout the country, from thefts, robberies, assaults, sex crimes, extortion, and murder. Some argue [Tren de Aragua] accounts for a small percentage of violent crimes but the fact is that there should be ZERO crimes against the public as this gang should not have been able to expand their presence in the US as a result of catch [and] release policies," Texas Department of Public Safety Lt. Chris Olivarez said on X."One victim is too many, one life lost at the hands of this criminal gang is inexcusable."Like Blaze News? The GTA 6 delay is not real, Rockstar devs reportedly say

As of this moment, it’s hard to think of a combination of words that would strike more sadness into the heart of videogame fans than ‘GTA 6 delayed.’ The most anticipated game in the world right now, above even Elder Scrolls 6, Fallout 5, and the mythical Half-Life 3, Rockstar’s next open-world opus, which returns the series to Vice City, is currently slated for 2025. Recently, however, rumor emerged that the Grand Theft Auto 6 launch had been pushed back. Thankfully, according to a new report, which cites confirmation from a number of current Rockstar developers, there is in fact no GTA 6 delay. Our cute meters just exploded with delight at this computer mouse

Akko is no stranger to producing some of the most fun gaming gear around, but its Capybara computer mouse that we just got to try out for the first time takes peripheral fun to another level. Along with its grey-striped kitty cat companion, and joined by the company's new Hello Kitty Pompompurin gaming keyboard, there has seldom been a cuter combination. While you may be seeing this squee-inducing delight and hoping it's worthy of a place on our best gaming mouse guide, though, this Akko giant rodent is not only not billed as a gaming mouse, but resolutely does not have the performance to qualify as one. Nonetheless, with its AA battery power and wireless connection, it could be a great secondary mouse for travel and general relaxing fun times. Best Black Ops 6 Tanto .22 loadout

What is the best Black Ops 6 Tanto .22 loadout? When it comes to picking SMGs, the differentiating factors between weapons in this category are usually down to fire rate and mobility. In the case of the Tanto .22, this is one of the slowest SMGs we’ve ever used, but when paired with the right attachments, this gun can shred through enemies like nothing else. The Jackal PDW loadout was the go-to SMG in Black Ops 6, but the devs made sure to nerf it before it became the best weapon in the game. Luckily for us, this gives us more options when it comes to picking Black Ops 6 weapons, and the Tanto .22 needs to be on your radar if you’re looking for a Jackal alternative.
