This AMD Radeon GPU leak hints at a new bargain graphics card

It has long been expected that AMD's next generation of gaming GPUs would land at the tail end of 2024, and the last few weeks have seen an explosion in leaks that suggest this is indeed going to be the case, even if AMD has remained tight lipped. The latest AMD Radeon GPU leak concerns a shipping manifest listing a Navi 44 XL GPU, with Navi being AMD's regular codename for its GPUs and the Navi 4x series widely believed to be its next generation of chips. Although AMD's GPUs may have struggled to secure places in the upper echelons of our best graphics card guide, its wares still represent the main alternative option and competitive force against Nvidia GPU dominance. As such, we're keen to find out every detail we can on its next generation of cards. iPhone 16 launch will get unexpected competition from a tri-fold Android phone

Apple's iPhone 16 launch event falls on a Monday (September 9th) this year, which is a first for the iPhone. Apple routinely holds its mid-September iPhone keynotes on the first Tuesday or Wednesday after Labor Day. This year's event was expected for September 10th, but Apple probably moved it to September 9th to avoid next Tuesday's presidential debate. That's the thing about iPhone launch events. They're the most important attraction in tech every year in September. Most rivals stay away from sharing the spotlight with the iPhone. But this year will be different because one Chinese smartphone vendor is ready to challenge Apple by hosting a product launch on the same day. Huawei won't just launch a traditional smartphone to take on the iPhone 16. It'll unveil the world's first commercially available tri-fold smartphone. Continue reading... AOC says we must make Labor Day a year-round paid holiday

AOC says we must make Labor Day a year-round paid holiday

US–Millions across the country are honoring the vital importance of labor by not laboring today, but many in government and labor unions are pushing to make Labor Day a year-round holiday to celebrate labor by not ever laboring again. “There’s no better way to stress the importance of labor in the economy by having people get paid for not laboring the entire year. A day off is nice and all, but we want the whole year off!” US Representative and democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said. The Labor Day holiday was established federally in 1894 to honor and celebrate the absolute necessity of labor and the labor movement by having everyone sitting on their asses. “Nothing says that labor is the most important part of the economy than having everyone not labor,” President* Joe Biden said while on vacation at Camp David. “That’s why we must celebrate Labor Day all year. The entire year should be one long paid holiday.” Beginning in the late 19th century, as the trade union and labor movements grew, trade unionists proposed that a day be set aside to celebrate labor. “Labor Day” was promoted by the Central Labor Union and the Knights of Labor, which organized the first parade in New York City. In 1887, Oregon was the first state of America to make it an official public holiday. By the time it became an official federal holiday in 1894, thirty states in America officially celebrated Labor Day. Johnny Dikferbrains, President of the AFLCIO union said that it is a human right to be paid to not work. Originally published September 6, 2021. Lukas Nelson Channels Dad In Stunning Cover Of Willie Nelson Hit

Lukas Nelson is following in his father’s footsteps but proving he’s got just as much talent in his own right as Willie Nelson. Recently, Lukas took to the stage to perform a cover of Willie’s song, “Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground,” and his performance is receiving high praise from all who see it. Lukas is Willie’s son with his current wife, Annie D’Angelo, with whom he also shares Jacob Micah. Lukas fronts the country rock band Lukas Nelson & the Promise of the Real, often shortened to POTR. There, he provides his talents in lead vocals, acoustic and electric guitar, piano, and songwriting. Here is his thrilling take on a Nelson classic. Lukas Nelson wows fans with his take on “Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground” by dad Willie Nelson Lukas Nelson masterfully channels his dad Willie in his cover of Nelson’s “Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground” / TikTok Lukas has been quite active on stage—and his work has been making the rounds on social media. Over on TikTok, user @sally_anne77 shared footage of Lukas performing “Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground.” The user captioned the post “My heart,” along with an emoji that appears overwhelmed by the musical prowess on display. RELATED: Willie Nelson’s Best Friend Is Also His Partner: “When Everybody Else Is Against You, She’s Usually There” The video also includes text over the footage reading, “Do I really need to tell you who his dad is?” If that didn’t adequately explain that Lukas definitely harbors as much musical skill as his dad, his cover of Nelson’s song certainly drives the point home, and fans can’t say enough positive things about what they’ve heard. “One of my all-time favorite songs!! So glad he is out keeping this going,” one praised. Another agreed, “My word. He is almost the spitting image. Lol Woowee!!! I love it.” Greatness inspired by greatness Lukas took a lot of inspiration from his dad but has proven he has skills in his own right / Dan Harr/AdMedia “Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground” is from the soundtrack for the film Honeysuckle Rose. Willie Nelson wrote and recorded the track, which was released in 1980 as part of the Honeysuckle Rose soundtrack, and then as the soundtrack’s second single the following year. The song became Nelson’s seventh to make number one country chart as a solo artist. There it stayed for a week and enjoyed fourteen weeks total on the country chart overall. Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground was used in the soundtrack for Honeysuckle Rose / Laura Farr/AdMedia Lukas has cited his dad, Willie, as one of his biggest inspirations as a musician. Lately, Lukas has been performing as a solo artist, especially after POTR announced an indefinite hiatus on June 3; however, the band plans to collaborate again in the future. @sally_anne77 My heart #lukasnelson #obbsessed #countrymusic #outlawcountry ♬ original sound – Sally Click for next Article The post Lukas Nelson Channels Dad In Stunning Cover Of Willie Nelson Hit appeared first on DoYouRemember? - The Home of Nostalgia.
