Detransitioner Chloe Cole is eagerly looking forward to the Supreme Court hearing oral arguments in a pivotal case on Wednesday, arguing that the Court has the ability to protect children across the United States from the procedures that deeply harmed her. Cole is a young woman who has sued her doctors, accusing them of pushing her to medically and surgically attempt to change her gender while she was struggling with mental illness and incapable of fully consenting as a minor. Cole underwent a double mastectomy as a teenager and took hormones and puberty blockers in an effort to appear as a male — and then realized, soon after, that she had made an irreversible mistake. Cole has now become one of the most outspoken detransitioners who push back against gender ideology, and she will be speaking at a rally outside the Supreme Court on Wednesday while the justices hear arguments in United States v. Skrmetti, a case dealing with Tennessee’s law banning irreversible gender transition procedures for children. “This case really means everything to me,” she told The Daily Wire, “because if a law like this were in place in my state while I was growing up, if this were just federally banned across the board when I was going through this, this never would have happened to me.” “My family wouldn’t have been torn apart the way that it was,” she argued. “My mom and dad wouldn’t have been betrayed by our doctors and I wouldn’t have lost my breasts or so many of my formative years to a dangerous medical ideology.”  The ACLU is arguing on behalf of multiple families and their trans-identifying children, who will be present in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday. Cole, who frequently has argued that parents are also victims of the gender ideology cult, addressed this, saying that the families’ presence reminds her of when she testified to Congress in 2023.  “There was a mother there who was doing the same thing,” she explained, “I really feel for these parents because they are being manipulated by their children’s doctors, by their children’s psychologists and physicians and counselors and other adults in that child’s life who should be helping the family. They’re being backed into a corner and being told there is no other choice for your child but to undergo a gender tradition, they’re being given no other options.” “They’re being told that the life of their child is on the line that they just don’t say yes,” she added. “I don’t blame them for being in favor of this because they’ve been lied to. They’ve had their single greatest fear as parents being leveraged against them and really no parent wants to have with their kid. Especially if they feel that they’re under threat of suicide.” Parents have been done a major disservice, Cole said, and she believes that families deserve to know that “people like me do not hate transgender individuals.”  “I know what it’s like to go through gender transition,” she said. “I know what it’s like to have gender dysphoria and to experience suicidal radiation. We’re all concerned about the same thing. What we all want, what we’re all concerned about is the welfare of these gender confused children.”  The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh will speak outside the Supreme Court at a rally hosted by Do No Harm, an organization that fights radical gender ideology. The “What is A Woman” filmmaker has spent the last several years exposing the gender ideology industry, particularly through an investigation into Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s gender transition procedures for children. That September 2022 investigation prompted Tennessee lawmakers to bring forward legislation to protect children — the same legislation at the center of Wednesday’s case. Cole said Walsh has had a “massive impact” on the fight against gender ideology. “I’m incredibly grateful for his efforts and his voice in this movement,” she said. Cole pointed to “What Is A Woman,” Walsh’s documentary exploring what a woman is and highlighting the absurdities of the gender discourse, arguing that it “created a major turning point.”  “I and several other detransitioners have personally interfaced with him, some have been interviewed by him and he’s been just incredibly kind and accommodating along the way,” she shared. She also referenced his investigation into Vanderbilt University, noting: “That was huge for this case as well.”

NBC News chief political analyst Chuck Todd tore into President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden after the president issued a pardon on Sunday to their son, Hunter Biden, who was facing possible prison time over gun and tax crimes. In a discussion with journalist Chris Cillizza, Todd said he knew “100%” the pardon was going to happen and insisted President Biden “needs therapy” because he has “not processed” the death of his older son, former Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, who passed away of brain cancer at the age of 46 in 2015. President Biden has an “issue” with Hunter Biden in which he blames himself for Hunter Biden’s struggles over the years, including drug addiction, “second-guesses everything” with raising Hunter compared to how he raised Beau, Todd contended. Todd also reportedly said he believed that Biden was never going to stand for the possible “humiliation” that President-elect Donald Trump would be the one to pardon Hunter Biden. Todd mentioned Beau Biden’s widow, Hallie Biden. After Beau’s death, she started a romantic relationship with Hunter. Her public disposal of Hunter’s gun led to the firearm case against him. Just as somebody in — just all these mixed emotions,” Todd said. “You read the Hallie Biden transcript, and that’s Beau’s widow. And essentially, [Hunter] turned her into a crack addict. And this was all happening in 2017 and 2018. And Joe and Jill Biden were so concerned about their family that they decided to run for president,” Todd continued. “When you talk about the word selfish … their decision to run for president put the entire Democratic Party and the United States of America in the position it’s in now.” Cillizza, a former CNN editor at large who now has a newsletter called “So What?” on Substack, posted a clip of the discussion to X on Monday. Some of those who commented on the post noted how Todd appeared to be more defensive of the Bidens in the past. Washington Free Beacon investigative reporter Chuck Ross pointed out an interview with Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) on NBC’s “Meet The Press” early last year in which Todd “went to the mat” for Hunter Biden when the first son was under investigation but had not yet been charged with any crimes. “Senator, do you have a crime that you think Hunter Biden committed because I’ve yet to see anybody explain. It is not a crime to make money off of your last name,” Todd said at one point. At another, he said, “Look, you can go back on your partisan cable cocoon and talk about media bias all you want. I understand it’s part of your identity.”

A 41-year-old Chinese national who is in the U.S. illegally was arrested on Tuesday after he allegedly shipped weapons from California to North Korea, the Justice Department said. According to an affidavit filed last week, Shenghua Wen of Ontario, California, obtained firearms, ammunition, and military equipment to ship to America’s enemy which is currently under sanctions. Wen allegedly hid the weapons and military equipment in shipping containers that shipped out from Long Beach to Hong Kong and then to North Korea. A federal complaint filed in the Central District of California said that Wen, along with other co-conspirators, “successfully exported at least two shipments of firearms and ammunition to North Korea,” Fox News reported. Wen allegedly admitted to investigators that he met with North Korean government officials at two North Korean consulates in China before he came to the U.S. on a student visa in 2012. Wen remained in the U.S. illegally after his student visa expired. He reportedly said he was directed to procure goods on behalf of the North Korean government because he was “good at smuggling.” The Chinese national also allegedly told investigators that North Korean government officials wired him around $2 million to purchase the weapons and military equipment. During two separate searches of Wen’s home earlier this year, federal agents seized a chemical threat identification device, a receiver that detects eavesdropping devices, and 50,000 rounds of 9mm ammunition, according to the DOJ. Wen allegedly told investigators that he believed the North Korean government would potentially use the weapons for a surprise attack on South Korea. The two shipments that made it to North Korea took place in October and December of 2023, according to the complaint. Wen allegedly had others purchase firearms for him to avoid being detected by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). The federal complaint alleges that Wen told investigators “that he purchased many of the firearms that he sent to North Korea in Texas and that he drove the firearms from Texas to California on three separate trips.” Wen is charged with conspiracy to violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act and faces up to 20 years in federal prison. The North Korean dictatorship has been a major U.S. enemy since the Korean War split Korea into the Chinese Communist-backed North and Western-backed South. Wen’s arrest comes on the same day that South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol declared martial law to guard against what he is calling “threats of North Korean communist forces” operating within the South Korean government. MacLean quoted China stating that in 2022, the country spent $229 billion on defense. He recalled the U.S. spending “somewhere in the 700s.” “You’re saying that the PLA and the Chinese Communist Party are lying?” he asked. “Shocking, I know,” Eaglen responded. “So, once a year, through state media, Beijing puts out its annual defense budget expenditure, total figure, top-line number, and we’re supposed to just nod and take them at their word and move on. … Their missile production and capacity rate is absolutely astounding, and I’m mostly focused on conventional forces. If we were to talk nuclear … it gets even worse. The math and firepower, the size and strength of the Chinese military is overwhelming. … The Pentagon says Beijing omits several major categories of expenditures in actual military-related spending. … It would have been closer to a trillion that they’re really spending.” Referring to China’s theft of intellectual; property, she stated, “That’s why so much of their aircraft, many of their ships, a lot of missiles, look like ours; it’s literally by stolen design. When you do it that way, it’s not going to be the perfect product,  it’s not as good as ours, at first, but you can rapidly iterate once you’ve stolen the IP and come up with a better product.” “If they know if this ever got beyond competition to something with the use of violence, we don’t have that capacity to rapidly repair and resupply forward in Asia, and it’s a really long way home to sail and fly things. You see how Beijing’s starting to win without fighting,” she concluded.
