The legal team for Dr. Ethan Haim, the doctor who exposed Texas Children’s Hospital in May 2023 — revealing that the facility had lied about ending its transgender medical program and was still performing attempted transition procedures on children as young as 11 — ripped the Biden Department of Justice for seeking a gag order targeting Haim in his legal case with the government. Haim’s claims were originally published in an explosive story by journalist Christopher Rufo. In June 2023, Haim said he knew he was being targeted by the DOJ when federal agents visited his home; the DOJ  attempted to charge him with four felony counts of violating HIPAA. “The DOJ has based their case, in large part, on the claim that Haim had no reason to access Texas Children’s Hospital records after he finished a surgical rotation at the hospital in January 2021,” The Daily Wire reported. “Today, @TheJusticeDept filed a reply supporting its motion for a gag order against our legal team and @EithanHaim,” The Burke Law Group, representing Haim, posted in a thread on X. “They dispute our charges of government misconduct, saying that we mischaracterize the facts. The last House of Representatives race to be decided, nearly one month after Election Day, remains in California, and it’s still too close to call. In California’s 13th Congressional District, where the GOP’s John Duarte defeated Democrat Adam Gray in the 2022 midterm by only 564 votes out of roughly 133,000 ballots cast, Gray leads Duarte by an even narrower margin: 143 votes out of roughly 210,000 votes, with 99% of the votes counted, as the California Secretary of State reported at roughly 6 p.m. on Monday. “As of Sunday, Gray had been ahead of Duarte by 227 votes. He lost ground Monday, as the latest updates came in from Merced, San Joaquin and Madera counties,” The Merced Focus reported on Monday, adding, “Stanislaus and Fresno counties are expected to update their results Tuesday. That is prompted by election workers asking for the proper signatures so the vote can be counted. On Tuesday, Duarte stated, “We are currently out curing during ballots with a large contingent. Once all the votes are counted and the election is certified, if I do not prevail, I will concede.” On Wednesday, Gray said, “While this race is still too close to call, I’m am hopeful for our chances following tonight’s ballot-count update. There are still quite a few ballots to count … every vote matters.” Merced County Registrar of Voters Melvin Levey stated, “We are seeing a lot more activity from campaigns and candidates to have volunteers reach out to voters whose signatures have been challenged so they can cure it. … Every vote matters, every vote counts. We’re seeing that in real time here.”

A veteran Connecticut police officer, Robert Klein, has shared a detailed account of a close encounter with an unidentified aerial phenomenon during a midnight shift in April 2022. Klein, a 25-year law enforcement veteran, told NewsNation’s Banfield about the incident near a reservoir in Fairfield County. He described seeing a spherical object, roughly the size of a “Mini Cooper,” hovering just 30 feet from his patrol car. “I’ve seen my fair share of drones and meteors,” Klein said. “This was something I’ve never come across before.” The object emitted an intense, color-changing light that blinded him momentarily and filled his patrol vehicle. The light cycled through red, green, white, and orange, appearing to have a “plasma-like” quality. “There was a really strong light. It lit up the entire cab of my cruiser to the point where I was having a hard time driving because I really couldn’t see,” Klein explained. When he illuminated the object with his spotlight, it instantly darted across the water. “That’s when I snapped out of it and started recording and taking pictures,” he added. “I couldn’t see it go from A to B, that’s how fast it moved.” The object also gave off a “low hum,” which Klein found distinctive. Ben Hansen, host of UFO Witness on Discovery+, has investigated the case and uncovered additional potential sightings in the same area, including orbs reported near a community center. “Our team is going to be going out to Connecticut on the ground,” Hansen told NewsNation, noting the search for more witnesses to corroborate Klein’s extraordinary encounter.
