“Rating Things We’ve Seen People Do In Our Escape Rooms”

Escape rooms are an excellent way for families or friends to spend time together while solving puzzles to escape. The premise is simple. The room is set up for a mystery scenario. Players enter the room armed with their intelligence and the first clue. They must solve clues or puzzles to gain escape. While fun for participants, escape rooms also yield some fun for the employees who monitor the rooms. @realitybreakescapes Rating things we’ve seen people do in our escape rooms! Come check us out in downtown Bellevue, Washington! #escaperoom #bellevue #fun #funbellevueactivities #washington ♬ Funny – Gold-Tiger The employees at Reality Break Escapes decided to have a little fun rating some of the things they had witnessed. The time limit varies with the type of room and level of play. When the timer began for one player, he started to play with a remote-controlled car. Rather than solving any of the puzzles, the gentleman continued to play with the car. Employees rated this odd behavior 8/10. Some customers break or overturn the props to bypass solving them, which creates problems. Employees rate destruction between 1/10 and -5/10. However, when people try on the clothing, it brings out smiles, and a “doctor” is rated 10/10 for looking spiffy as he “experiences” the role. Image from TikTok. Perhaps one of the most hilarious customers was the guy who decided to nap while the timer was running. Lying facedown, this guy seemed to have a great nap on the not-so-comfortable floor. It only gained him a 6/10 rating, but at least his actions weren’t scary. When the players stare into the camera, that can be disconcerting. This behavior only earns 3/10 because it can scare the employees. Overall, the cameras seem to provide safety for the participants and viewing enjoyment for the employees. If you’ve never done an escape room, grab some friends or family and try it! You can find the source of this story’s featured image here. An Interview with Dave Fowler of Australian Pink Floyd

Have you ever wondered what a tribute show formed in Adelaide, Australia, celebrating the iconic music of Pink Floyd would sound like? We have, too. But actually, you don’t have to wonder, as, since 1988, The Australian Pink Floyd Show has been a thing. Loads of members have revolved through the Down Under’s Pink Floydian doors, but lately, it’s been 44-year-old London-born six-stringer who has been holding the role of David Gilmour. Given Gilmour’s iconic solos in songs like “Money,” “Time,” and “Comfortably Numb,” Fowler’s task seems nothing short of impossible. But if you’ve seen the Aussie Floyd live, you’d The post An Interview with Dave Fowler of Australian Pink Floyd appeared first on ClassicRockHistory.com.

Small Mysterious Humanoid Creature Photographed In West Virginia

The paranormal investigation group “Wild & Weird West Virginia” recently received a photograph showing a pale, humanoid figure walking through a cemetery in West Virginia. According to local UFO researcher Stan Gordon, the photograph was taken by a child, whose identity remains undisclosed for privacy reasons. The incident occurred on July 31, 2024, when the child was visiting a local cemetery with their mother and a group of other children. The exact location of the cemetery has not been specified. Credit: “Wild & Weird West Virginia“ While near the cemetery, the child noticed something unusual—a figure moving through the grass near the tombstones. Upon closer inspection, the child saw two small, pale figures, which they described as “skeleton children.” These figures appeared to be playing, running, and jumping around, much like ordinary children. However, the absence of any accompanying adults struck the child as odd. The “skeleton children” seemed to be alone in that section of the cemetery. The child pointed out the figures to their mother, who found them amusing at first but soon became uneasy the more they observed. Although the adults in the group dismissed their concerns, other children around 7-8 years old also noticed the strange figures and began watching them too. The group observed the figures for a short time as they moved through the cemetery, and the child managed to snap a photo of them. It’s unclear why a video wasn’t taken. The figures eventually ran behind a tree and disappeared without a trace. Afterward, the child’s family reached out to Ron Lanham, a researcher with Wild & Weird West Virginia. Interestingly, Lanham and his team had been investigating a nearby forest on the same day, following up on a strange signal that could have been related to a UFO sighting. Lanham carefully examined the original photo, which was taken with an iPhone 15, and confirmed that the image appeared genuine. The EXIF data verified that the photo was taken at the reported time and date. Lanham is confident that the photo wasn’t manipulated and that it does not depict a figurine or any other superimposed object. He estimates the height of the figure in the photo to be about 3 feet. PolitiFact Pleases PBS: Hands Down, Democrat Convention Much More Factual Than RNC

PBS and their "independent fact-checker" partners at PolitiFact can agree: the Democratic convention was much more factual than the Republican convention. So Democrats didn't just corner the market on "joy" and "electricity," but apparently on facticity.  PolitiFact editor-in-chief Katie Sanders appeared on Thursday's News Hour before Kamala Harris had even spoken. She did not appear during the prime-time convention coverage to "referee" the proceedings, as she did during the GOP convention.  Anchorman Geoff Bennett requested a premature endorsement of how the Democrats exceeded the Republicans:  GEOFF BENNETT: You were with us at the Republican National Convention as well. When you compare the RNC to the DNC, which gathering has shown the greatest fidelity to the facts? KATIE SANDERS: Certainly, there's been some exaggerations this week about — or maybe really broad claims. But I think it's hard to compare anyone with the amount of falsehoods that you hear at a campaign rally from former President Trump. If you remember his speech, we were doing a lot of fact-checking in the moment of things we have heard again and again and again. So I think that is challenging to stack up against any other gathering really for the facts. With Kamala Harris's speech tonight, I'm curious if she's going to continue a trend to stay broad, stay a little vague, narrow — focus more on her biography, versus going into specific claims. We will just have to see. Her campaign speeches have not had a similar style, to say the least, as former President Trump. We already knew this from the PolitiFact website, as Alex Christy reported after the Democrat convention ended: they gave Republicans three times as many False ratings while giving Democrats three times as many True ratings. It was starker with the candidates: Trump was on the False side 89 percent of the time, and Harris only 33 percent -- in part because they ruled on Trump 33 times and on Harris only three times -- 33 to 3.  The "fact checkers" have slammed Trump as "Pants on Fire" four times in the last two weeks or so (August 9-23). We're up to 197 Pants rants since PolitiFact started checking Trump. Kamala Harris has zero "Pants on Fire" rulings. Ever. Harris has 52 fact checks in total -- 25 on the True side, 23 on the False. So more true than false, four Half True in the middle. Trump has 1,042 fact checks. Get out the calculator. That’s about 20 times as many fact checks as Harris. He has 119 on the True side, and 798 on the False side. Okay. He’s 11.4 percent on the true, 76.5 on the false. He has more Pants on Fire ratings than True or Mostly True, combined.

Resident Evil 2 is better than RE2 Remake, and now easy to play on PC

We’re still waiting for confirmation on what’s next for Resident Evil, be it a fully fledged RE9, a Code Veronica remake, or maybe a fresh version of the hard-to-love Resident Evil Zero. Nevertheless, the Capcom survival horror is ticking over thanks to a vital re-release of one of the greatest games in the entire series, Resident Evil 2. RE2 Remake is a superlative reimagining of the fixed-camera classic, but the 1998 original is scarier, more atmospheric, and a vital part of videogame history. It also brought us Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield for the first time, as well as the iconic Raccoon City police station. Hard to access on PC in the modern era, finally, as of today, buying and playing RE2 is extremely simple.
