HOMELESS FARM WORKERS Abducted by 'HAIRY MEN' in California's Central Valley

During the early 1960s, a young man was migrating through California to avoid the military draft. While staying in a homeless tent camp, he heard stories about abductions by 'hairy men.'"In 1963, during the Vietnam War period, a friend, looking to avoid the draft, was hopping trains across California. He did odd jobs to pay for food and sometimes stayed at homeless tent camps, many of which had been erected in the woods along the railways on the West Coast at the time. The witness recalled being told, while in the Central Valley, by one of the camp stayers early on to be vigilant at night, that when the farming season ended, people had a tendency to disappear. This fellow blamed it on the “hairy men,” and claimed that when the farming season ended, they preyed on people. The witness thought it silly, though sometime later, a man did go missing from the camp and it was blamed on a “hairy man.” The witness felt the campstayers were completely sincere. He also heard talk of a “boneyard” with human remains found in the forest. He eventually left and returned home. He would ultimately be drafted to serve in the military though he remained stateside repairing engines. (At no point does he claim to have seen a Bigfoot though he does believe that something anomalous was happening at those homeless camps)."NOTE: This account came through a third party. I don't have anything other than what I'm posting here. Is anyone familiar with something similar to this occurring? Thanks. Lon**********PHANTOMS & MONSTERS VIDEO LIBRARYPOLL: WHAT DO YOU THINK? 'Restaurant X': TIME DISPLACEMENT or ALTERNATE REALITY in Chicago?

A reader contacts me about an incident in Chicago. I don't know if it's a time displacement from an earlier period or an actual entrance into an alternate reality.I received the following odd incident account:"Dear Mr. Strickler. I would like to thank you for your website. I appreciate that you let people tell their stories, without harsh judgement. That is why I’ve decided to contact you. I have come to the conclusion that I am just someone who has odd experiences. I have had things happen to me since I was a kid. UFO sightings, paranormal encounters, possible cryptids; I just seem to be in the right place at the right time. Over the years I have grown more comfortable with the experiences I’ve had, I just wish I could explain them better. One experience that still bothers me, since I can’t even figure out a category in which to put it, is an experience I had many years ago. I have recently remembered a number of strange things I’ve witnessed, and these memories have had such an urgency about them. It is a little unsettling. However, I try to remain open, so I can remember/experience them to the best of my ability. The incident I’ve been reminded of was when I was in Chicago for a ‘tourist’ weekend, with a woman I was dating. We had been to the Art Institute during the day on Saturday. It was a Saturday in August of 1988 or 89, I know I was in graduate school at the time. After we had left the Art Institute, we walked around the area and window shopped until around 8pm. We were both getting hungry, so we decided to find someplace to eat. She mentioned that there were supposed to be good restaurants in a warehouse district a little north of where we were. So we drove a little and parked the car in what seemed like a rather questionable area. There were plenty of people walking about, so it also seemed to be ok. We walked a few blocks and were in what seemed to be a construction area, or maybe a destruction area, they seemed to be tearing a building down. Next to this lot, was a multilevel building, but not tall enough to be a sky scraper, maybe a 10 or 12 floor office-type building. This area was devoid of other people, and the building seemed to be shut down for the weekend, but we walked right up to the front door and went into the building. There was a hallway that stretched out in both directions to the left and right. On the wall in front of us was a sign that said “Restaurant X”.There were 2 heavy appearing, wood doors just down the hallway to our left. We walked to the doors and opened one of them. We stepped into a very dimly lit restaurant, that also seemed devoid of people. All of the sudden a woman appeared, out of nowhere, and asked us to follow her. She was dressed in a dark suit, and was carrying menus. She sat us at a square table near the center of the restaurant, gave us our menus and a wine list then walked away. We were descended upon by three wait staff; one woman and two men. I don’t remember much about their appearance other than they were all dressed in clean white chef’s coats and dark pants? Didn't really see the pants, but it was a dark garment, so I assumed they were wearing pants. The woman took our orders and then instructed the men to carry out our requests. On guy was the wine guy, who would run over and pour wine whenever our glasses were a bit low, and the other guy was the water guy doing the same thing. The woman took our food order. I remember I ordered the skate on angel hair pasta with a lemon butter sauce. I remember that because I had never seen skate on a menu before, and honestly, I haven’t seen it on a menu since. It was delicious! The wine was excellent, and odd. Odd because we ordered one bottle of wine and drank from it all night…we probably consumed about 3 bottles worth. And we didn’t get drunk, but we should have at least been tipsy. As we were eating, no one else came into the restaurant. We had the whole place to ourselves. The wait staff would stand off to the side of the restaurant, behind us, where it was dark and difficult to see them. We finished our meal, paid our bill and left. We talked about how odd it was that there were no people around and that there was no one in the restaurant. We went back to our hotel, and left for home the next day.Now is where stuff gets really weird. At the time, I was involved in biathlon racing (at this time it was running and biking and went on to be called duathlons). I was to do the Coors Light Biathlon in Chicago that next weekend. I would be traveling back to Chicago on Wednesday, with a close friend who was also in the race. We traveled to Chicago, and stayed at the race hotel, the Hyatt on Whacker Dr. Got to the hotel in the late afternoon, unpacked, and my friend mentioned that she was getting hungry. I suggested going to this great restaurant that I had eaten at the weekend before. It was pricey, but it was worth it, and I mentioned that it was within walking distance just north of our hotel over the river.I do not remember the address, but at the time I knew where it was. So we set off to walk to the restaurant in the early evening. We got to the corner where the building was being torn down and there was the office-type building next door. The office building looked different, more abandoned, if that makes sense, like it had been sitting, empty for some time. More run down, maybe. The building was there, however, there was no Restaurant X. Again, we could get in the building, but there was no sign on the wall. There were some desks in the hallway with some chairs turned upside down on top of them. They were dusty, like they had been there for a while. There was also some writing, I guess graffiti, on the hallway wall. Those two heavy wood doors were not there. There was no evidence that there ever was a Restaurant X, or any other thing at that location. It looked like an abandoned office complex that had been empty for way more than four days. At first, I thought I was mistaken about where I was, but I’m really good with directions and locations. I looked around the neighborhood and it was the right location, and it was the right building. I was really confused, and a little upset. My friend suggested that we just find a different place to eat. She figured that the restaurant just closed. I knew that was not right. We ate at a different place a couple blocks away, and went back to the hotel. Once we got back to the hotel, I looked in the phone book, no listing for Restaurant X. I called information, no such business. I asked the registration clerk if she knew about Restaurant X, she did not.The woman I was dating was a reference librarian at the Iowa State library. I told her about the disappearance of Restaurant X when I got home after the race. She looked into it a little, but could find no information or evidence that Restaurant X ever existed. The more I think about it, the odder it gets.I have been having some other types of experiences recently. I don't know what to think of some of the things that have been happening, or how to deal with them. I'm not crazy, nor do I desire to focus attention on myself. I just want to know how to go about investigating the experiences I've had/am having. I would appreciate your take on the above experience. I have never run across anything that seemed similar. Thank you. JM"NOTE: I have heard of similar situations before, and oddly enough, many occur in areas where there are buildings. I don't know if it's a time displacement from an earlier period or an actual entrance into an alternate reality. It is a bewildering phenomenon. Harris Had Record of Pushing Left-Wing Positions on Biggest Legal Issues as California AG

More than a dozen briefs signed by Vice President Kamala Harris during her time as California Attorney General highlight her left-wing stances on several contentious legal issues of the past decade. Harris filed briefs with the Supreme Court in favor of affirmative action, backing buffer zones that prevent pro-life counseling outside abortion clinics and opposing Arizona’s state immigration law, according to a list compiled by law professor Josh Blackman. Her positions on some of the biggest Supreme Court controversies during her time in office — and continuing into her time in the senate and as vice president — provide a long track record to consider how she would view constitutional issues as president. Affirmative Action Harris defended affirmative action in 2012 and 2015 amicus briefs in Fischer v. University of Texas at Austin, urging the Supreme Court to allow the university to consider race as a factor in admissions, even while acknowledging an amendment to the California constitution restricted race-conscious admissions. She also led a group of Democrat attorneys general in 2013 to oppose a Michigan ban on “sex-and race-based preferences” in education, arguing bans on affirmative action “violate the Equal Protection Clause.” In 2023, the Supreme Court struck down the use of racial preferences in college admissions as a violation of the Equal Protection Clause. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote universities have wrongly concluded “that the touchstone of an individual’s identity is not challenges bested, skills built, or lessons learned but the color of their skin.” Today's Supreme Court decision is a denial of opportunity. It’s not about being colorblind. It’s about being blind to history, blind to empirical evidence about disparities, and blind to the strength that diversity brings to classrooms. pic.twitter.com/pB872AnPbO— Vice President Kamala Harris (@VP) June 29, 2023 Harris called the Supreme Court’s ruling a “step backward for our nation.” The Biden-Harris administration released guidance following the decision that urged universities to continue weighing how a “student’s background, including experiences linked to their race, have shaped their lives and the unique contributions they can make to campus” to skirt the ruling. Abortion Harris joined a coalition of Democratic attorneys general in 2013 to defend buffer zones around abortion clinics in Massachusetts that prevented pro-life advocates from engaging in sidewalk counseling. In 2016, Harris joined a coalition of Democratic attorneys general in opposing a Texas law that required doctors performing abortions to have admitting privileges with a nearby hospital and abortion clinics to meet the requirements of an ambulatory surgical center. The attorneys general argued it was in their interest to promote “the safety of abortion services without creating unwarranted obstacles” and ensuring residents of their states could access abortion in “any State to which they may travel.” Harris also backed a California law that forced pro-life pregnancy centers to advertise abortions, which was later rejected on First Amendment grounds by the Supreme Court. As attorney general, Harris initiated the investigation into pro-life journalist David Daleiden, whose undercover videos exposed Planned Parenthood’s involvement in fetal tissue trafficking. Harris has vocally opposed the Supreme Court’s decision to reverse Roe v. Wade in 2022 and made abortion a key issue in her 2024 campaign. “In the case of the stealing of reproductive freedom from the women of America, Donald Trump is guilty,” she said on the second anniversary of the Court’s decision in June. Religious Liberty In a 2014 amicus brief, Harris argued for-profit companies like Hobby Lobby should not be exempt from providing insurance coverage for contraception as required by the Affordable Care Act (ACA), despite religious objections. She opposed religious nonprofits who argued the ACA’s accommodation still burdened their religious exercise in a 2016 amicus brief. As a senator, Harris reintroduced the Do No Harm Act in 2019, which would prevent religious freedom protections from applying in cases involving discrimination. She said the First Amendment’s freedom of worship guarantee “should never be used to undermine other Americans’ civil rights or subject them to discrimination on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, or gender identity.” LGBT Issues In 2013, Harris officiated the state’s first same-sex wedding after the Supreme Court left in place a decision finding Proposition 8, a 2008 state ballot initiative that stated only marriage between a man and a woman valid in California, unconstitutional. Harris refused to defend Proposition 8 in federal court and filed an amicus brief arguing the sponsors of the initiative did not have standing to appeal the ruling finding it unconstitutional. About to marry the #Prop8 plaintiffs Kristin Perry and Sandra Stier. Wedding bells are ringing!— Kamala Harris (@KamalaHarris) June 28, 2013 When same-sex marriage came before the Supreme Court in the 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges case, Harris joined an amicus brief with other Democrat attorneys general urging the justices to affirm “the right of same-sex couples to marry.” She also worked “behind the scenes” to push forward a policy enabling inmates to obtain gender transition surgeries. Since her time as attorney general, Harris has staked out a more radical position on gender issues. While in the senate, she co-sponsored the Equality Act, which would make sexual orientation and gender identity prohibited categories of discrimination under federal civil rights law, enabling men to access female-only spaces, such as locker rooms and bathrooms, and to compete in women’s sports. The Biden-Harris administration continues to fight state bans prohibiting sex change surgeries for minors in the courts. Immigration In 2012, Harris led 10 other states in opposing Arizona’s immigration law, which made it a state crime not to comply with federal alien-registration requirements and prohibited illegal migrants from working without authorization. It also required officers to verify the immigration status of individuals they stop or arrest and allowed warrantless arrests when an officer believed there was probable cause an individual committed a deportable crime. The Biden-Harris DOJ sued Texas in January to prevent the state from enforcing a law permitting local and state authorities to arrest migrants who enter the U.S. illegally. The DOJ also sued Iowa in May for a similar law allowing state authorities to arrest and charge illegal migrants who have outstanding deportation orders or reentered after previously being denied access. The Harris campaign did not respond to a request for comment. Originally published by the Daily Caller News Foundation. PBS’s DNC Coverage Goes Full Feminist: US on the ‘Cusp' of a Female President (Again)

On Night Two of the Democratic National Convention, anchor Amna Nawaz was talking to former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in the PBS booth when they were joined by veteran PBS journalist Judy Woodruff. Nawaz took advantage by tossing aside her journalist hat and hosting a heartfelt feminist kaffeeklatsch hailing VP Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, as a feminist hero on “the cusp” of a historic feat, becoming the first female president, the way Hillary Clinton was supposed to have been in 2016. Nawaz: Madam Speaker, we should also say that we have Judy Woodruff joining our conversation, sitting next to you. I know you two have known each other for a long time on your own career paths. I wonder if we could take politics out of this for a moment, and take a moment to reflect on what we are seeing here. Democrat or Republican, once again we are on the cusp of putting a woman in the highest office in the land. I would love for each of you, if you don't mind, to reflect on what it took to get here, you navigating your path in politics, Judy, you covering politics, and how we arrived here. Isn't it presumptuous, that this will happen, just as they presumed it would happen in 2016? Pelosi initially didn’t hear the question, but eventually the conversation turned to prejudice against women in politics. Judy Woodruff: One question I would like to put to you is, you had dealings with Kamala Harris as district attorney in San Francisco, attorney general in California, then as a senator. What can you tell us about her leadership style? People are going to make a big deal or not about whether she is a woman. Is that a factor or not? Pelosi: When I ran for [House] Speaker I said don't vote for me because I'm a woman but don't vote against me because I'm a woman. I want you to know that I can get the job done and if I may, this is not about electing a woman president. This is about electing the best, strongest person and I know her very well. I know personally her as a person of deep faith who cares about the community and demonstrated that all the time….I'm not here to ask you to elect the next, a woman president of the United States. I'm here to ask you to vote for Kamala Harris for President of the United States. I think she has, what does leadership require? Vision, knowledge, judgment, strategic thinking, and a heart full of empathy for the people. As Night Two signed off, Jonathan Capehart got emotional over Michelle Obama’s angry speech. After Capehart said when he was first called upon, "Can I go last?" anchor Geoff Bennett came back to him a few minutes later and Capehart opened his heart, after universal praise from panelists Amy Walter, Judy Woodruff, and David Brooks on Michelle Obama’s speech. Bennett: Final word, friend. Capehart (emotional): I agree with everything that everyone said. The political analysis, I can't find fault with. I agree 100%. I'm going to speak personally. As American, and as a black person. Michelle Obama's speech and I'm trying not to look at Amna, because I have my handkerchief that she gave me for the holidays. Yesterday, I said in politics people want to be seen. They want to be seen in the way their politicians talk to them and talk about them. And when I pulled out my Amna hankie, it was when Michelle Obama said that Kamala Harris -- we never have the grace of failing forward. We never have the benefit of generational wealth. If things don't go our way we don't get to complain. That's how Michelle Obama lived her life, lives her life. That's how Barack Obama lives her [sic] life. That's how I live my life. And to hear that coming from the former first lady, is just too -- I'm sorry, but I feel seen. And I think people in this hall feel seen. And I'm certain millions of Americans feel seen. I'll leave it there. Sorry. Amna Nawaz: Don't apologize. Can't think of a better note to end this conversation on….

A Call for Young and Old to See Reagan: The Movie

The producers didn’t plan for the biopic about the life of Ronald Reagan to open so close to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, but delays caused by the pandemic and an actors strike led to its release on August 30. It seems easier to portray a historical figure that no one currently living remembers. In the case of “Reagan,” the challenge would appear especially challenging. Actor Dennis Quaid, who plays Reagan, is more than up to that challenge. Quaid avoids what could have easily been a temptation to portray Reagan as a caricature. Though he resembles the 40th president with the help of hair enhancement and makeup, Quaid’s performance does not distract from memories of those who lived through his presidency. The film opens with real news footage of Reagan being shot as he left the Washington Hilton Hotel on March 30, 1981. It includes his now famous line to Nancy Reagan, (played convincingly by Penelope Ann Miller): ”Honey, I forgot to duck,” along with his quip to surgeons at George Washington University Hospital, “I hope you are all Republicans.” Those two comments endeared him even to many of his political opponents, including Speaker Tip O’Neill who is portrayed (by Dan Lauria), visiting Reagan in the hospital and elsewhere agreeing to cease talking politics at 6 p.m. when he and Reagan would discuss how to resolve their differences over drinks at the White House. While recalling his childhood, his early acting career, and Screen Actors Guild presidency during the blacklisting of Hollywood actors, writers and others alleged to be communist sympathizers, or members of the party, a good portion of the film centers on Reagan’s efforts to reduce the nuclear arsenals of the Soviet Union and United States. He responded to criticism for not meeting with a succession of Soviet leaders, saying “I would but they keep dying.” Eventually he meets with the reformist Michael Gorbachev, played by Olek Krupa, who bears little resemblance to the man he portrays (save for the birthmark on his head), but who sticks to the historical “script.” Reagan’s insistence on pursuing his Strategic Defense Initiative (“Star Wars” to his critics) is rightly credited with contributing to the fall of the Soviet Union during the administration of his successor, George H.W. Bush. The film gets Reagan’s toughness and convictions right, but it also displays something absent from so much of today’s politics. They include his sense of humor (YouTube has a collection of some of his better jokes) and the fact that he treated even his adversaries with respect. One line that isn’t in the film but is an accurate depiction of his way of criticizing the beliefs of opponents without calling them names: “The trouble with our Liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant; it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.” Unlike Meryl Streep’s portrayal of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in “The Iron Lady,” (it opens with her dementia while the Reagan film ends with his in a moving way that ought to bring tears to the eyes – it did to mine), “Reagan” is more of a love note to a man who did great things for his country and the world. There could be no better epitaph for any political leader. If you are under 40, go see it and learn something beyond what biased historians and the media have said about the man. If you are over 40 and lived through his presidency, go see it and be reminded of what real leadership looks like and how one man, in collaboration with a British prime minister and a pope, helped bring freedom to millions in Eastern Europe and restored the faith of many Americans in their country.

Fugitive suspect in 1989 rapes allegedly mutilated fingers to avoid identification, was living on yacht before recent arrest

A man wanted for two 1989 Massachusetts rapes was arrested earlier this month after he was found living on a luxury yacht in Los Angeles, police said. Investigators said 71-year-old Stephen Paul Gale had been on the run after law enforcement said DNA evidence linked him to the rapes.'He has funds to have private attorneys, live on a yacht, and drive a Lincoln. But his money will not help him with our case .Gale was indicted in April for raping at gunpoint two women who were working at a clothing store in Framingham in 1989. He also was indicted for kidnapping and armed robbery. Police believe Gale suspected that he was being watched at the L.A. Marina because he was able to race away from officers who gave chase Aug. 8. Police used spike strips to disable his vehicle, after which they arrested him in the Westwood Medical Plaza Officials are looking to extradite him to Massachusetts to face trial. One of Gale's alleged victims told WCVB-TV she was relieved that he was finally caught. "I have waited for Gale's apprehension for 34 long years" the woman said. "I was 18 years old when I was raped while working at a retail clothing store during my college winter break. It has been nothing short of incredible investigative work and strength from his victims to continue our fight for justice."She claimed Gale had mutilated his fingers in order to prevent his identification and had assumed numerous aliases. "He has been living like royalty and had no issue walking a narrow boardwalk over water and driving to avoid arrest for 90 minutes," she continued. "He has funds to have private attorneys, live on a yacht, and drive a Lincoln. But his money will not help him with our case; we have him with solid DNA evidence, and two victims that have never forgotten his face and [have] never given up finding him." One of the suspect's neighbors told WCVB that he could not believe the accusations. He described the improvements he was making to his yacht in order to sell it and buy a bigger yacht. "I am so shocked. I am absolutely stunned," said Don Smollett. "Everything you can imagine new went into that boat. Electronics and everything. I couldn't afford anything like what they were putting on that boat. So he had money to do that," he added. "You never know who you talk to anymore, huh," Smollett concluded. Gale was held on $2 million bail. Video of the yacht and the police chase of the alleged rapist was published by WCVB-TV on YouTube. Like Blaze News? DNC theatrics continue as GASLIGHTING takes the main stage

The Democratic National Convention continues despite the raging protests of confused pro-Palestinian Democrat voters standing outside in Chicago — and day two was one for the books. Not only did the show feature a cringeworthy dance routine from Chuck Schumer and an awkward entrance by VP pick Tim Walz, but it also featured a very special, famous guest. That guest was Michelle Obama, and she used the opportunity to give her best pro-Kamala performance to the American people, as she talked about “hope.” “Until recently, I have mourned the dimming of that hope, and maybe you’ve experienced the same feelings — that deep pit in my stomach, a palpable sense of dread about the future,” Obama told the crowd. “She’s talking about this ‘hope’ that she felt like was just escaping us, it was getting dimmer and dimmer until now that Kamala Harris is running,” Sara Gonzales of “Sara Gonzales Unfiltered” says, adding, “You guys have been in charge the last three and a half years.” “In fact, you guys have been in charge 12 of the last 16 years,” she continues, stifling a yell. “Why do you think things might not be going so hot?” Not only have the Democrats been in charge a majority of the past 16 years, Kamala Harris is the second most powerful position in an administration that has left the border open wide and continues to gaslight the American people about prices at the grocery store. “But that crowd is probably too stupid to figure that out,” Gonzales comments. Glenn Beck’s chief writer and researcher, Jason Buttrill, is in full agreement. “So are their candidates, to be perfectly honest,” he laughs, adding, “as you point out, they’ve only lost power in the last 12 years for four years. That’s it. And pretty much everything that happened was wiped out on day one of Biden’s presidency through executive order.” Want more from Sara Gonzales? To enjoy more of Sara's no-holds-barred take to news and culture, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.

3 adults arrested over pit bull attack on 6-year-old boy who was handcuffed by hands and feet, police say

Ohio police say three adults were arrested after a 6-year-old boy was handcuffed by the hands and feet and bitten by a pit bull dog. The Ashland County Sheriff's Office said that police responded to a call of a dog attack at a home in the village of Savannah on Saturday afternoon. A caller to 911 told a dispatcher that a child had been bitten by a pit bull on the ear and the neck. 'It was horrible, because I couldn't take his pain away.' The boy was eventually airlifted to an area hospital in serious condition. Police questioned Angelina Williams of Cleveland, who is the mother of the boy. She told them she lived at the home with a family member of Robert Michalski, who owns the property and the dog. Investigators said they learned the boy "had been restrained with handcuffs on his hands and feet" before the dog attack and found Michalski and the dog hiding in a cubby hole during a search of the house. Police arrested Williams and Michalski and booked them into the Ashland County Jail before concluding that Williams' boyfriend, Taylor Desiree Marvin-Brown, had also participated in the "restraining" of the boy. He was arrested as well. WKYZ-TV spoke to Kydhatha Castellano, who is the boy's aunt and says she is his legal guardian. She said the boy lives with her in New York but was on a 2-week visit with his biological mother in Ohio. "It was horrible, because I couldn't take his pain away," she said. Castellano says he opened up to her about the incident and told her that they were punishing him because he was crying and they didn't like that he was crying. The boy was released from the hospital after surgery. Williams and her boyfriend were charged with endangering children and obstructing justice, both felonies. Michalski was charged with endangering children and tampering with evidence. The pit bull was captured and the investigation is ongoing, according to police. Photos of the horrific attack were published by WKYZ in its news video report on YouTube. Like Blaze News? Diablo 4 isn’t just about Diablo anymore, and Blizzard’s loving it

Evolution is how things keep moving - without it we’re stuck in cycles of repeating actions, walking over the same old ground until we form ruts. Even for a game like Diablo 4 which at some level must stick to certain fundamentals, it’s come a long way since the first title arrived back in 1997. One way it’s changed is in terms of who the big bad is, with titular character Diablo missing in action in the current game. We were able to have a chat with Blizzard about everyone’s favorite red boy, and if his absence even matters.
