More Than A Dozen People, Mostly Children, Stabbed By 17-Year-Old Male In U.K., Multiple Fatalities Reported

A 17-year-old male suspect is in custody in the U.K. for allegedly going on a stabbing spree Monday morning at a children’s dance class. Two children have died while nine more children were wounded and two adults were wounded, said Serena Kennedy, the chief constable of the Merseyside Police, at a press conference. Six of the injured children were in critical condition and both adults were in critical condition, she said. All of those who were injured were stabbed. “We believe the adults who were injured were bravely trying to protect the children who were being attacked,” said Kennedy. Earlier we held a press conference following the incident that took place in Southport this morning. Please watch to hear from Chief Constable Serena Kennedy, MFRS Chief Fire Officer Phil Garrigan and NWAS Cheshire and Merseyside Head of Service Dave Kitchin. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer responded to the tragedy: “Horrendous and deeply shocking news emerging from Southport. My thoughts are with all those affected. I would like to thank the police and emergency services for their swift response. I am being kept updated as the situation develops.” Horrendous and deeply shocking news emerging from Southport. NY Subway Singer Shocks Passersby With Soulful Sam Cooke Cover

We all need some inspiration from time to time, and when we do, it can come from the most unlikely of places. New Yorkers are used to street performers and often go about their businesses without giving them a second glance. But sometimes, what they see and hear is too good to pass up, so they stop and give the performer a chance. Mike Yung’s incredible subway singing has gone viral multiple times, and people can’t get enough of his soulful voice. Millions have viewed his performances of the Righteous Brothers’ Unchained Melody and Sam Cook’s A Change Gonna Come, and the feedback has been incredible. Mike’s version of A Change Gonna Come is powerful, and a video posted on YouTube shows how his passion and voice touched even the busiest New Yorkers. People stopped to listen, and one woman even grabbed Mike to hug him and thank him for sharing his gift. The people in the comments noticed the embrace, and one person wrote, “He couldn’t even sing no more that after that hug. I love this so much brings tears to my eyes.” Many others agreed. “I love this version more than anything raw emotions,” someone wriote. Mike’s song touched a lot of people. Like this person. “When you sing it better than the original..wow..love this version..you feel the soul” “So moving; So relevant; So uplifting; So optimistic; So…subversive!…..This is the best thing that happened to me all day,” another person agreed. Mike’s Subway Singing Led to Big Things So many people encouraged Mike to take his music out of the subway, and he auditioned for America’s Got Talent in 2017, eventually making his way to the semifinals. Mike loves to sing and share his talent with the world. Ed Sheeran joined him on the subway platform in 2023, and the pair sang an impromptu diet of Eyes Closed. Mike is our quick reminder that we all have talents and gifts, and you never know when yours might change your life. The source of the featured image in this post can be found here. The First Proposal Of The Summer Olympics Was Caught On Film! Watch The Romantic Video

Sports are not the only exciting thing you may witness at the Olympics. You may also witness an adorable proposal like the one between Pablo Simonet and his girlfriend Maria Campoy. The Argentinian handball player proposed to his girlfriend in the midst of a group photo. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Pablito Simonet (@pablitosimon) An Olympics Proposal For The Books While Maria Campoy’s field hockey team defeated Team USA days later, I have a feeling that the excitement of her engagement may have been her favorite victory of the week. This romantic moment occurred on July 24, as the Argentinia handball and field hockey teams gathered for a group photo. In the video, you can see Pablo step out from the group and head towards the front. There is a moment of confusion before he turns to face the group and gets down on one knee. Cheers erupt as all eyes turn towards Maria with expectant excitement. Maria steps up to the front, gleefully surprised. She responds with the word we all wanted to hear, “Yes!” The couple then engages in a heartfelt embrace as they savor this sweet moment. Pablo shares his excitement on Instagram with the video and this heartfelt caption, in Spanish: “The woman of my life said yes to me. In the dreamed place, where everything arose and where we fought so hard to be. Happiness is total, thank you friends, and few accomplices for making this special and being able to keep this for ourselves forever. Paris is always a good idea.” Olympics, Love, And Victory The post has gotten a lot of love, with over 88,000 likes and a swarm of positive comments from their teammates and strangers alike. The couple has been together since 2015 and is clearly excited to be moving forward to the next stage of their relationship. Even though the Argentinian handball team lost against Norway, this magical Olympics proposal leaves Pablo with some very fond memories of this year’s Olympic season. As for Maria, this may be her final year at the Olympics. She told People about the day she was offered a spot on the team, “But after the call, I didn’t hesitate. I talked it over with Pablo, and I told him, ‘I want to end my career in the best way possible.'” With a victory and an Olympic proposal, I’d say Maria is off to a great start on that wish. ABC, CBS, NBC Gush Over Kamala’s ‘Strength’, ‘Surge’ Putting Trump ‘On Defense’

The Monday morning flagship network news shows began with heavy doses of rank propaganda for Vice President Kamala Harris, telling viewers to find joy in saying “this is an entirely different campaign” with “momentum” and “new signs of strength” for Democrats now that President Joe Biden has been axed. In contrast, they showed they’re in lockstep with the Harris campaign by falsely attacking Trump for saying there “won’t have to vote anymore if he’s elected” and bragging Senator JD Vance (R-OH) is still “facing backlash” nearly a week into the (clearly coordinated) campaign to destroy Vance for “2021 comments referring to some Democrats as childless cat ladies”.     CBS Saturday Morning co-host Michelle Miller pinch-hit on Monday and showed her partisan stripes (as she’s married to longtime liberal activist, former New Orleans Democratic mayor, and National Urban League boss, Marc Morial): “[T]here are new signs of strength for the Kamala Harris presidential campaign including new poll numbers and a growing financial haul. Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump is turning up the heat on her with a series of personal attacks.” Chief White House correspondent Nancy Cordes followed suit in working to gain brownie points for her new handlers: The Harris campaign says it brought in $200 million in the first week of her candidacy, that is a record. It’s also touting more than 170,000 new volunteers. Now the campaign says this is sign of pent-up interest in the race as the party converges around a new message about the Republican nominees, arguing they’re weird. Cordes excitedly added that Harris hasn’t just “rak[ed] in campaign cash”, but “also experienced a polling surge.” Cordes’s tone flipped the script for the Trump/Vance ticket. First, she whined the former President “tested out a series of new personal attacks this weekend” and Harris received “backup” in fighting Trump “from potential running mates...who held events on her behalf around the country.” The CBS correspondent also touted the latest word games against Trump before closing with negative doses for Vance on the “cat ladies” smear and a false claim that giving illegal immigrants citizenship wouldn’t mean they could vote (even though voting is, in fact, largely open to those who have U.S. passports) (click “expand”): CORDES: They also went after Trump for this unusual plea he made to Christian conservatives — TRUMP: Christians, get out and vote! Just this time. [APPLAUSE ] You won't have to do it anymore. Four more years — you know what, it’ll be fixed. It’ll be fine. You won't have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians. CORDES: — the Harris campaign said he was signaling an “end to democracy”. Republicans weren’t sure what he meant. (....) CORDES: Trump’s running mate, Ohio Senator JD Vance, gave this explanation to CBS News — VANCE: I think he's saying get out there, make sure this election matters because if you don't, the next four years we may not have a real election if the Democrats give illegal aliens the right to vote. CORDES: It’s important to note the Democrats have not suggested that undocumented migrants should get the right to vote any time in the next four years. Democrats went after Vance all weekend, actually, for his past claim that childless cat ladies run the Democratic Party and even some Republicans said privately that they’re worried his comments will further erode Trump’s support among women. ABC’s Good Morning America understood the assignment on Monday. Correspondent Rachel Scott celebrated this day as “an entirely different campaign” with “Harris hoping to seize on that new momentum”. Scott used most of her segment to attack Vance and celebrate him “facing backlash for these comments he made three years ago disparaging Harris and other Democrats for not having children.”  As for Trump, Scott huffed that “[a]fter surviving an attempted assassination, former President Trump says he’s now backing away from calls to tone down the rhetoric” and fawned over “Democrats pouncing” with the claim about Trump joking this will be the last election if he wins.” “Donald Trump starting to sharpen his attacks against his new rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, mocking her laugh, mispronouncing her name, calling her unhinged and extreme. Vice President Kamala Harris responding to those new attacks from both Trump and Senator J.D. Vance, calling it all just plain weird,” she concluded. ABC political director Rick Klein also marveled (click “expand”): [T]his is an entirely different race than it was just a week ago, and one thing is for certain, it is close. We’ve had four major polls come out just since Joe Biden left the race and endorsed Harris. You have everything from a Harris plus two to a Trump plus three, basically a tied race all within the margin of error. We’ve also gotten some initial battleground state polling that’s encouraging for Democrats...[I]t has been quite a honeymoon for Vice President Harris. Just in the space of a week — so a week ago, 35 percent of the country saw her favorably — now it’s up to 43 percent. That includes a big jump among independents. She is now the very rare politician viewed more favorably than unfavorably at least for the moment. On the other side, we have seen kind of the opposite happened for Donald Trump. Coming out of his convention and that assassination attempt, we talked last week, he got to a four-year high in favorability of 40 percent, now it’s down to the mid-30s, back where it’s been for a long time, and J.D. Vance, this has not been a good debut week for him. The number of people who view him unfavorably jumped by eight points in the space of a week. Look at that gap, 15 points underwater overall (....) Just a week ago, 14 percent of the country said they were unfavorably inclined to support either one of the candidates. They — we call them the double haters. Now that number is cut in half, and check this out. The enthusiasm gap that Democrats have worried about, at least for now, entirely erased. Democrats enthusiastic about Kamala Harris’s candidacy just like Republicans are for Trump, and this is a striking number — 49 percent of independents say they are enthusiastic about Kamala Harris. Compare that number to Trumps and you see how this race has been turned on its head[.] NBC’s Today had senior Washington correspondent Hallie Jackson tout Team Harris “deploying a new adjective to blast the Republican ticket” as “weird” and “fueled by controversy surrounding Mr. Trump’s running mate JD Vance” with this manufactured “cat ladies” controversy. Jackson played a clip of Vance from last week in which he told the great Megyn Kelly that what he said in 2021 was “about criticizing the Democratic Party for becoming anti-family and anti-child.” She also went after Trump by hyping a December appearance on NBC by Liz Cheney: It's gonna be a LONG 100 days of leftist bias. The 'Today' show themes on Monday: --Kamala raises BIG BUCKS --Kamala says Vance is WEIRD -- Trump now on DEFENSE over jokes about not needing to vote after 4 years of excellence...End of Democracy! Liz Cheney says so! pic.twitter.com/DM1ratLzhh — Tim Graham (@TimJGraham) July 29, 2024 To see the relevant transcripts from July 29, click here (for ABC), here (for CBS), and here (for NBC).

Kamala Harris will provide 'pathway to citizenship' for illegal aliens if elected president: Sen. Elizabeth Warren

Just days after many mainstream media outlets bizarrely attempted to deny that Vice President Kamala Harris was ever the Biden administration's border czar, one prominent elected Democrat has promised that if Harris were to win the 2024 presidential election, she would soon afterward secure a "pathway to citizenship" for the millions of illegal aliens who have poured into the country under her watch. On Sunday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren — the far-left Democrat senator from Massachusetts who vowed during her failed 2020 presidential bid to allow a gender-confused child to weigh in on her prospective education secretary — made an appearance with Jake Tapper on CNN's "State of the Union."During their conversation about the likely showdown between Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump in November, Tapper noted that problems at the border continue to be one of the "biggest vulnerabilities" for Democrats.'If you are here, start packing your bags right now because Donald J. Trump is coming back into office.'Warren responded by claiming that the solution to the country's immigration problems lies with Congress since a president's ability to impact national immigration policy is "quite limited." Still, should Harris become president, she would almost certainly join with legislators to pass "comprehensive immigration reform" that would include a "pathway to citizenship" for illegal aliens already in the U.S., Warren bragged."We need the tools in order to have more resources at the border, to have more resources in the states and cities that are supporting migrants. And I believe we need to create a pathway to citizenship," Warren told Tapper. "All of that is part of what we need to do for comprehensive immigration reform. Kamala Harris will work with Congress and get that done," she added on a clip that can be seen here.In advocating on behalf of Harris, Warren also asserted that "border crossings now are lower than they were in the last year of the Trump administration," though statistics show that border crossings have skyrocketed since Joe Biden and Kamala Harris took office. Nearly 250,000 migrants crossed the border illegally last December alone.Despite these numbers, Warren, who is up for re-election this year, certainly seems to believe the border is a winning issue for Democrats in November. During her appearance with Jake Tapper, she openly invited viewers to compare Harris' record on the border with that of Donald Trump, who has campaigned on a promise of deporting illegal aliens en masse."It’s really a question of who do you trust on the border. Do you trust someone who has actually been a prosecutor, who has been there in a border state, who works with Congress toward a solution? Or do you trust someone who says, you know, chaos is politically helpful to him?" Warren said. The Harris campaign did not respond to Blaze News' request for comment on Warren's remarks.Trump's running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), recently indicated that, thanks to the lax immigration policies under the Biden-Harris administration, illegal aliens may even cast a ballot this November in defiance of federal law. "Worst of all, Kamala Harris would happily erode every protection we have to prevent them from voting," Vance told a crowd at rally in St. Cloud, Minnesota, on Saturday. "She wants to hand over control of our country to people who shouldn't be here in the first place. And we cannot let her."Vance also offered a warning to anyone living in the U.S. illegally: "If you are here, start packing your bags right now because Donald J. Trump is coming back into office."Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!

Facebook admits it incorrectly 'fact-checked' iconic Trump photo taken moments after assassination attempt: 'This was an error'

Big Tech is coming under fire for allegedly attempting to interfere with the upcoming presidential election in November. On Monday, a screenshot was circulated on social media that showed a "fact-check" label over the iconic photograph of former President Donald Trump with his fist in the air moments after getting shot in the recent assassination attempt in Bulter, Pennsylvania, on July 13.The screenshot, taken on Meta's Facebook and Instagram, claimed that the picture of Trump was "altered."'This has been fixed and we apologize for the mistake.'"Independent fact-checkers reviewed a similar photo and said it was altered in a way that could mislead people," the disclaimer read. "Facebook determined your post has the same altered photo and added a notice to the post.""People who repeatedly share false information might have their posts moved lower in News Feed so other people are less likely to see them," Facebook added. The disclaimer cited a "fact-check" article by USA Today on July 15 that showed a similar photograph of Trump; however, in that picture, the Secret Service agents around the former president appeared to be smiling. The news outlet determined that the agents' faces were altered in that photograph, which was circulated on social media, with some users claiming the smiles indicated it was a staged photo op."The image was doctored to change the facial expressions of the agents. They are not smiling in the original photo," USA Today determined. The post on Facebook and Instagram that was slapped with a fact-check disclaimer featured the original, unaltered photograph of Trump and the Secret Service agents. The incorrect label sparked backlash that Big Tech companies are attempting to suppress the assassination attempt from online archives ahead of the upcoming election.Meta spokesperson Dani Lever responded to the concern on X, writing, "Yes, this was an error. This fact check was initially applied to a doctored photo showing the secret service agents smiling, and in some cases our systems incorrectly applied that fact check to the real photo. This has been fixed and we apologize for the mistake."Just last week, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg called the photograph "bada**," Blaze News previously reported."I mean, on a personal note ... seeing Donald Trump get up after getting shot in the face and pump his fist in the air with the American flag [in the background] is one of the most bada** things I've ever seen in my life," he said during a recent Bloomberg interview. "On some level, as an American, it's ... hard to not get kind of emotional about that spirit and that fight, and I think that that's why a lot of people like the guy."Anything else?Social media users torched Google over the weekend after some discovered that its search's "Autocomplete" feature was not populating results related to the recent shooting on July 13, Blaze News reported.Google stated, "There was no manual action taken. Our systems have protections against Autocomplete predictions associated with political violence, which were working as intended prior to this horrific event.""We're working on improvements to ensure our systems are more up to date. Of course, Autocomplete is just a tool to help people save time, and they can still search for anything they want to. Following this terrible act, people turned to Google to find high-quality information – we connected them with helpful results, and will continue to do so," it added.Bing's autofill feature prompted a comparable result. Microsoft did not respond to Blaze News' request for comment.Meta's AI chat was similarly accused of trying to block information related to the shooting after it failed to provide any details about the incident when prompted over the weekend. Meta has since apparently attempted to "fix" the issue.A Meta spokesperson told Blaze News, "We know people have been seeing incomplete, inconsistent, or out of date information on this topic. We're implementing a fix to provide more up-to-date responses for inquiries, and it is possible people may continue to see inaccurate responses in the meantime."Like Blaze News? Trump and RFK Jr., speaking at the Bitcoin conference, call for rejecting centralized banking

Presidential candidates Donald Trump's and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s speeches at the 2024 Bitcoin conference, which took place this weekend in Nashville, Tennessee, elated cryptocurrency fans and investors. Kennedy appeared on a conference panel and described the government's reliance on the Federal Reserve as "parasitical.""The relationship between Congress and the Fed is both parasitical to our country and it’s a symbiotic relationship. The Fed is not a public institution. ... The decision-makers are appointed by the banking industry."'I want America to be the nation that leads the way.'"Lockdowns ... shut down all the small business in this country, which is what we should be nurturing, and kept open the Walmarts, and the Amazons, and Facebook, and the oil industry, and the processed food industries, and Big Ag. They all flourished during that period," Kennedy continued, according to Coindesk.Kennedy then called for more "sovereignty over our own wallets" and stated that America needed to remain the leader in blockchain technology.RFK Jr. also made a surprise appearance at the Karate Combat mixed martial arts event taking place during the conference, telling commentators that he is a "huge supporter of Bitcoin.""I have most of my wealth in Bitcoin," he added. "I am fully committed."The candidate also somewhat upstaged Trump by revealing that the Republican nominee had plans to announce a government stockpile of Bitcoin should he be elected.According to Business Insider, Kennedy said, "I understand that [Trump] may announce his plan to build a Bitcoin Fort Knox and authorize the U.S. government to buy a million Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset. And I applaud that announcement." Image by Peter Gietl Similarly, Trump called cryptocurrency "the steel industry of 100 years ago" in his speech and reportedly pledged to keep all of the Bitcoin owned by the federal government as a "strategic national Bitcoin stockpile."Quoting the popular "to the moon" phrase, Trump said that if crypto is indeed headed in that direction, he wants it to be "mined, minted, and made in the USA.""I want America to be the nation that leads the way," he added.Newsweek noted a series of pledges made by Trump at the conference in addition to his idea of a national stockpile. This included crypto-friendly policies, with the former president saying that the nation has "never thrived" by trying to "censor new ideas."The Republican also garnered huge applause when he pledged to fire Gary Gensler, the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, and promised to end the "anti-crypto crusade" by the SEC.Other propositions by Trump included creating a "Bitcoin and crypto presidential advisory council," with policy written by "people who love" the cryptocurrency industry, not those who "hate" it. This came alongside a promise to end "Operation Choke Point 2.0," referring to federal regulators' efforts to discourage banks from working with cryptocurrency companies and providing crypto services.Lastly, Trump warned that if the United States didn't take the lead in crypto, "China will do it."His latest remarks are a stark contrast from his previous views on crypto in 2019, when he said "Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies" are "not money" and are "highly volatile." — (@) 'Does this feel normal to you?'Return's managing editor, Peter Gietl, who was in Nashville covering the conference, said Trump likely re-evaluated his stance after he saw Bitcoin become a financial powerhouse."When Trump first took office, Bitcoin was still viewed nationally as a fringe issue or even a scam. As the price skyrocketed in 2020, more countries and major financial institutions took notice and began to get involved," Gietl said."As of today, it's worth almost $1.4 trillion and is the ninth-most valuable asset in the world. It's no longer possible to ignore the power Bitcoin has in the world. I believe President Trump and other politicians recognize this transformation and are now ready to work with the companies and personalities leading the Bitcoin charge," he added.Appearances from other politicians at the conference, like Republicans Tim Scott and Vivek Ramaswamy, drew skepticism from some, including whistleblower Edward Snowden. Image by Peter Gietl "Cast a vote, but don't join a cult," he remarked, according to the Tennessean. "They are not our tribe. They are not your personality. They have their own interests, their own values, their own things that they're chasing. Try to get what you need from them, but don't give yourself to them."Oppositely, X owner Elon Musk responded to the event by saying he did see "merit" in Bitcoin."I'm not going to be promoting crypto — at most, in a joking way. If you see me pumping crypto, it's not me," the billionaire said, according to the Block. "I do think there's some merit in Bitcoin, and maybe some other cryptos, and I've sort of got a soft spot for Dogecoin because I like dogs and memes," he added.Nonetheless, the attention the conference received is a giant step up from where the industry was just a few years ago. It now seems like an entire generation has passed since the Dogecoin millionaires were created and the Winklevoss twins became Bitcoin billionaires.Should Trump be elected, it could result in an entirely new era of crypto capitalists emerging with some serious power in the economy.Like Blaze News?
