BREAKING: Secret Service Director Cheatle says they can’t protect Trump anymore because there are sloped roofs everywhere

WASHINGTON, DC—In an unprecedented announcement, US Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle has declared that the agency can no longer provide protection for former President Donald Trump due to an unforeseen and insurmountable obstacle: sloped roofs. “Effective immediately, we are suspending all protection services for Mr. Trump,” Cheatle stated at a hastily organized press conference. “The sheer number of sloped roofs across America has made our job impossible. We just can’t do it.” Cheatle went on to explain the unique dangers posed by these architectural features. “Everywhere we go, it’s sloped roofs. Whether it’s Trump Tower, Mar-a-Lago, or a rally in the middle of nowhere, the roofs are never flat. Our agents can’t keep up.” Sources within the Secret Service described the constant vigilance required to navigate this perilous terrain. “It’s like being on a perpetual game show obstacle course,” said one agent, who requested anonymity. “One minute you’re securing a perimeter, and the next you’re sliding off a 45-degree pitch while dodging drones and selfie sticks.” The sloped roofs have added an unexpected layer of complexity to Trump’s security detail. “Every mission turns into a high-stakes balancing act,” another agent confided. “We’ve got agents with ropes and harnesses, and still, someone always ends up dangling off the edge.” Cheatle’s announcement has sent shockwaves through Washington and beyond. Critics have questioned the timing and reasoning behind the decision, while supporters of Trump have accused the Secret Service of abandoning their duty. “Sloped roofs? Really? This sounds like a bad joke,” tweeted one prominent commentator. “What’s next? Are they going to stop protecting him because there are too many stairs?” In response to the news, Trump took to Truth Social to voice his outrage. “Sad! The Secret Service is making excuses. Sloped roofs? Come on! They’ve been fine for centuries. Total incompetence,” he posted. “I’ll find the best people to protect me, believe me.” In an effort to fill the security void, Trump is reportedly exploring alternative protection measures, including hiring professional climbers and installing inflatable landing pads around his properties. He’s also considering forming a volunteer militia composed of his most loyal supporters, dubbed the “Trump Tower Rangers.” Meanwhile, Director Cheatle defended the decision, citing the agency’s need to prioritize agent safety. “We’re not abandoning our duty,” she insisted. “We’re simply acknowledging a challenge that we cannot safely overcome. Sloped roofs are our kryptonite.” As the nation grapples with the fallout from this announcement, one thing is clear: the landscape of presidential protection has forever changed. Whether this shift will lead to innovative new security strategies or further chaos remains to be seen. One thing is certain—America’s roofs will never look the same again. Dean Butler Recalls Knowing Shannen Doherty Was Destined For Success Filming ‘Little House’

The future is not set in stone, but destinies appear clear as day. The late ’70s saw Dean Butler work alongside Shannen Doherty in Little House on the Prairie, and however brief their collaboration, Doherty was already a force of nature enough to show Butler she was only going to continue to find new ways to thrive. From 1979 to 1983, Butler held a main role as Almanzo Wilder in the NBC Western historical drama. At the time, he was in his early twenties. From 1982 to ’83, Doherty also held a main role, hers as Jenny Wilder at the start of what would be a very prolific career until her death on July 13 at the age of 53. In the wake of her passing, her co-stars have shared memories of her career and friendship. Here is what Butler recalls from such a formative time in both their lives. Dean Butler reflects on working with Shannen Doherty and knowing the greatness that awaited her LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE, (standing, l to r): Dabbs Greer, Kevin Hagen, Victor French, Matthew Labyorteaux, Michael Landon, Stan Ivar, Dean Butler, Richard Bull, (2nd row from bottom): Pamela Roylance, Melissa Gilbert, Leslie Landon, Allison Balson, (front): Lindsay Kennedy, Shannen Doherty, David Friedman, 1974-83, © NBC / Courtesy: Everett Collection Speaking with PEOPLE, Butler recalled the strong impression Doherty, who joined the cast of Little House on the Prairie before she was even a teenager. “There just was something about her — Shannen knew where she was going,” mused Butler. RELATED: ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ And ‘Charmed’ Star Shannen Doherty Dies At 53 “She was a very determined, and you just knew that she was going to succeed. You just knew she had something.” “I never got the feeling that Shannen was self-conscious about anything she was doing,” Butler added, “but rather that she was fully connected to what she was trying to accomplish in the given scene. I think she had a very good instinct about the work that she was doing, and I never felt working with Shannon that she had any kind of anxiety about the work that she was doing at all.” At the end of the day, every day, “She was just all in.” Everyone is in agreement of this accurate assessment LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE: A NEW BEGINNING, (l to r): Leslie Landon, Pamela Roylance, David Friedman, Shannen Doherty, Lindsay Kennedy, Stan Ivar, (Season 9), 1974-1983 / Everett Collection Sure enough, Doherty would go on to build an impressive television career. Not long after her time in Walnut Grove came to an end, Doherty played Maggie Malene in Girls Just Want to Have Fun. This was followed by Kris Witherspoon in Our House, Heather Duke in Heathers, Brenda Walsh in Hollywood 90210, and Prue Halliwell in Charmed. Doherty passed away at the age of 53 / Everett Collection Her castmates from these shows have also celebrated her career, which saw Doherty earn two Young Artist Award nominations, thanks to her performances in Airwolf and Our House. On social media, Holly Marie Combs, who played Doherty’s TV sister Piper in Charmed, mourned, “My better half of 31 years. There is a hollow in my chest and I can’t seem to catch my breath. A part of me is missing even though I know exactly what you would say to me right now. I know exactly what you would tell me to do right now.” LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE (aka LITTLE HOUSE: A NEW BEGINNING), from left: Melissa Gilbert, Dean Butler, Victor French (Season 8, 1982), 1974-83 / Everett Collection She went on, “I know your undying spirit will live in me and my kids who you loved as your own. They will walk with your sense of purpose and pride. They will be truthful and stand up for what is right. No matter what and zero f—s given. Your fire will live on in them and the many other Charmed ones you helped raise. A fierce fighter til the end. My most ardent champion. My loyal protector. My best friend. You taught me the meaning of family. You were and will be forevermore my sister. I love you.”   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Holly Combs (@thehmc) RELATED: ‘90210’s Tori Spelling And Shannen Doherty Open Up About Their Rocky Friendship Click for next Article The post Dean Butler Recalls Knowing Shannen Doherty Was Destined For Success Filming ‘Little House’ appeared first on DoYouRemember? - The Home of Nostalgia.
