Fallout from the Biden Debate Fiasco: Who’s Running the “Sole Superpower”?

by Harley Schlanger, LaRouche Organization: As an often-incoherent President Joe Biden stumbled through his June 27 debate with his chief opponent, former President Donald Trump — at times staring ahead vacantly, at other times appearing to be confused — the proper question should not have been “can he continue his campaign and still win in […]

Whoopi Goldberg Desperate, Says She Doesn't Care if Biden 'Pooped His Pants' During Insane Segment

Do you know what we really didn't miss in the aftermath of President Joe Biden's debate debacle on June 27? Whoopi Goldberg's take. Yes, the first-among-equals on ABC's "The View" was taking a break from the show when the disaster happened. And who could blame her? After all, these debates...

Punished for Donating to Your Local Church?

Could you imagine getting punished for donating to your local church? It sounds CRAZY. And yet, I believe that is about to become our new reality. Because our gov’t has decided to digitalize the dollar. This means they’ll be able to track every single transaction you make. Tried to buy something our gov’t doesn’t approve of? “Transaction denied.” Said anything on social media that goes against gov’t propaganda? “Account frozen.” Those are very real possibilities once our gov’t rolls out a digital dollar. Because I believe our gov’t wants to control us. How we spend our money… How we spend our time… All the way down to our most personal and deeply held beliefs. And as a Pastor and an American, I’m telling you… This is the opposite of what being a Christian is about. Being a Christian is about letting go of control. And trusting in God and His Plan. This is why I cannot stand for this gov’t movement! I will not stand to have my bank account frozen. I will not live like a broke student in my golden years. And I will not fail to pay for my children’s education even though I’ve worked my whole life. I’ve found a way to secure my family’s future that the mainstream media has completely overlooked. This is how I’m planning to protect my money. Greyhound Undergoes C-Section At Vet — Meet Her Adorable Puppies!

Have you ever seen greyhound puppies? Well, thanks to Cross Lanes Veterinary Hospital, you’re in for a heaping dose of cute! One of their patients needed a C-section, and it was all hands on deck during the procedure. When this greyhound’s tiny puppies were finally delivered, the hospital decided to share an adorable video of the newborns on social media! This beautiful clip shows vets cleaning and caring for the little pups just after birth. It also captures a few other sweet moments, such as the greyhound puppies feeding from their mom. There are even some close-ups of these newborns’ teeny faces and paws. You won’t believe your eyes when you see just how small they were after birth! @crosslanesvet we love greyhound puppies #CapCut #veterinarian #vet #vetmed #CLVH #dog #csection #greyhound #laboranddelivery ♬ Theme From A Summer Place – Percy Faith Commenters were head-over-heels for these greyhound puppies. However, many pointed out how funny it is to see these typically long-nosed, wiry pooches as babies. These pups were so small, it’s hard to imagine how tall they’ll be when they grow up! “I always want to cry thinking about what my greyhound looked like as a puppy,” wrote one user. “Sweetest little babies ever and then they get pointy real fast.” “LITTLE STUMPY PUPPIES!!!!!!!” said another. “My family has two adult greyhounds so it’s so cool how they go from potatoes to sticks.” So, what do greyhound puppies look like as they begin to grow? One dog owner decided to share some then and now footage of their pooch. As you can see in the clips, this older greyhound puppy looks less like a little nugget and more like a small adult. Although the dog’s body is not fully formed at the beginning of the video, you can see the nose and legs starting to get longer. @attaboy_arthur What a year we had together #CapCut #2023recap #watchmypuppygrow #puppygrowth #puppiesoftiktok #puppy #greyhound #pets #dogtok #theoffice #nye2023 #nyecountdown #newyear #puppysfirstyear ♬ tolerate it eras Intro – Morgan Brook Music Well, one thing’s for sure. Greyhound puppies certainly change a lot as they grow, but they don’t get any less adorable! You can find the source of this story’s featured image here. When Did "American English" Emerge?

When Did "American English" Emerge?

Along with their attitude toward tipping waiters, variations in language are one of the biggest differences between Americans and Brits. Despite their overwhelming similarities, they still can’t agree on how to spell colour/color – and let's not even begin to discuss whether the world's most popular sport is called football or soccer. So, when did this slight linguistic gap emerge? The US officially became independent on July 4, 1776, when 13 American colonies cut their political ties to Great Britain. A break from British English didn't emerge with the signing of a document, though. American English was starting to surface decades before the Declaration of Independence was signed, back when the early American colonies were established in the 17th century and the two populations were separated by an ocean. Linguistic independence, so to speak, perhaps occurred before political independence. Much like the evolution of a new species, novel accents, dialects, and languages emerge over long periods of time when speakers of the same language become isolated from each other and small, subtle differences accumulate. Eventually, enough contrast builds up that the vernacular can be considered distinct. As such, there isn’t a black-and-white boundary between the language variation that we can ascribe to a specific year or decade. It’s more like a continuum; neither black nor white, but a series of grey/gray shades from light to dark. Furthermore, in the absence of audio recordings, it’s very hard to pinpoint exactly when American English became "a thing." However, there is evidence that English speakers noticed that the language had shifted “across the pond” around the late 17th and early 18th century. One of the earliest mentions of linguistic differences can be found in a 1699 travel book called A Trip to New-England by English writer Ned Ward. He writes: "Notwithstanding their sanctity, they [the New Englanders] are very profane in their common dialect.”American English was initially considered to be a sloppy, bastardized version of the original mother tongue, as is often the case with “new” accents and dialects. Along with changes in pronunciation and emphasis on syllables, American English rustled up new words and phrases, which also attracted scorn from "traditional" English speakers. In 1735, British geographer Francis Moore commented on how speakers of English in the “New World” had started to alter the language. While speaking about a town in Georgia, he observed: “It stands upon the flat of a Hill; the Bank of the River (which they in barbarous English call a bluff) is steep.”These changes had significantly built up by the time of the Declaration of Independence. One of the Founding Fathers who signed the sacred document, Scottish churchman John Witherspoon, was particularly aware of the language's reshaping – and he wasn’t a fan.“I have heard in this country, in the senate, at the bar, and from the pulpit, and see daily in dissertations from the press, errors in grammar, improprieties, and vulgarisms which hardly any person of the same class in point of rank and literature would have fallen into in Great Britain,” Witherspoon wrote in 1781, just five years after the declaration was signed. The differences became so profound that some thinkers suggested “American” would develop as its only distinct language, totally independent from English. Towards the end of the 18th century, Jonathan Boucher, an English clergyman and philologist living in Maryland, wrote: “Their language will become as independent of England, as they themselves are.”Clearly, that did not become a reality, and the language did not unfold into an entirely new entity. Nevertheless, the stigma surrounding American English still lingered for centuries to come.In 1995, Prince Charles (now King Charles) caused a kerfuffle when he made some snooty comments about the “very corrupting” influence of American English. He lamented: “[Americans] invent all sorts of nouns and verbs and make words that shouldn't be... We must act now to ensure that English –and that, to my way of thinking, means English English – maintains its position as the world language.”All “explainer” articles are confirmed by fact checkers to be correct at time of publishing. Hilarious: NPR's Folkenflik CHOKES on Comparison of Joe Scarborough to Hannity

It was a little shocking. NPR media reporter David Folkenflik came on Monday night's All Things Considered to talk about cable news, and it wasn't about his hate object Fox News, at least not directly. The subject was President Biden's phone interview with his buddies at MSNBC's Morning Joe. Even Folkenflik thought Scarborough was well, energetic in his obsequiousness: JOE SCARBOROUGH: Democrats, you believe, may now be doing the same thing that Donald Trump tried to do in 2020, and that is overthrow the popular will of Democratic voters. FOLKENFLIK: You know, I haven't heard even President Biden go that far, even as he's, you know, defiantly defending his right to run this race. It may be he was trying to channel Biden or advise him a little bit about some of the rhetoric there. As enjoyable as it may be to suggest Scarborough was more pro-Biden than Biden, this suggests Folkenflik didn't read Biden's letter to congressional Democrats on Monday, where he explicitly argued "We had a Democratic nomination process and the voters have spoken clearly and decisively...They have chosen me to be the nominee of the party. Do we now just say this process didn’t matter? That the voters don’t have a say?"  Democrats had a "nominating process" where the incumbent intimidated everyone who could plausibly challenge him, and where some state "Democratic" parties omitted challengers from the ballot. But this was the fun part -- NPR having to contemplate that Scarborough is so deeply embedded into the Biden camp that it evokes parallels to -- oh, God forbid! -- Fox News.  JUANA SUMMERS, anchor: You know, some people out there are making the argument that MSNBC and Scarborough are just a mirror image of Fox News for Republicans. Quickly, how fair is that? FOLKENFLIK: Well, you know, certainly, Joe Scarborough now serves as kind of a outside adviser in much the way that Sean Hannity does for President Trump. I would say two things. First, I would say it's definitely part of the Democratic firmament, and you had a couple of Biden administration aides who are now hosts on MSNBC. And at the same time, I would argue that perhaps because of NBC News being a corporate sibling, you know, it's a little bit more rooted in journalism. SUMMERS: Yeah. FOLKENFLIK: And it's more willing to admit interests against its own sympathies and rooting causes. This is hilarious. NBC, with Lester "Fairness Is Overrated" Holt, is being used to say Scarborough and Maddow and Joy Reid and Jen Psaki are "more rooted in journalism"? NPR liberals should really admit that they can't attack Fox News as uniquely partisan when the parallels have become unmistakable. Obviously, Fox News is hated because it underlines information that the Left wants to suppress. More "rooted in journalism" sounds like code for more rooted on Our Side, on the Left, and its avowed reverence for "facts," like the "fact" that America is deeply racist, and that capitalism is inherently unjust. That's what you get from government-funded radio and TV. Audio is below:
