We all have fears. While some can stem from personal experiences, others seem to be almost universal. Take, for example, the fear of clowns. Odds are, there’s at least one person in your life who has made it clear just how much they hate clowns. Turns out, America’s Got Talent judge, Simon Cowell, is one of those clown-fearing folks. So, as you can imagine, he was far from pleased when Jelly Boy the Clown stepped out on stage for his audition. From the moment Cowell sees that there’s a clown on stage, he turns around toward the audience, letting them know about his phobia. Still, when it’s time for the audition to begin, the long-time AGT judge finds the motivation needed to face his fear. Soon after, however, it becomes quite clear that Jelly Boy is not like most clowns. This is true not only in personality but in the act itself. Truly, nothing could have prepared Cowell for this… Okay, to be more accurate, nothing could have prepared any of us for the stunts Jelly Boy pulls off. Rather than the usual goofy schtick you’d expect from a clown, he chooses a more edgy, dangerous route. And somehow, it really works.
