Marvel Rivals will make it easy to see which heroes rule the battlefield

When it comes to hero shooters, I pick the character I think is the coolest. I don't play Zenyatta in Overwatch because I want to be a healer, it's because I love his design. Heading into Marvel Rivals, I was going to employ the same tactic. NetEase's interpretations of Magneto and Venom caught my eye since the first time I saw them, so they quickly shot up to the top of my favorite picks. With the studio's newest developer diary ahead of launch, however, my hero-picking strategy has changed. It turns out we're going to be given hero pick and win rates, so choosing my main amongst my favorite designs just got a whole lot easier. Apple’s movie theater beef with Hollywood is getting worse

Image: Apple Wolfs director Jon Watts told Collider on Friday that he didn’t think a sequel to the George Clooney and Brad Pitt movie, which Apple had already greenlit, would be happening. Yesterday, he revealed to Deadline that he had backed out of the project because he “no longer trusted [Apple] as a creative partner” after the company made a u-turn on its wide theatrical release. The New York Times reported in August that Apple pulled the theatrical run for Wolfs because it was concerned it was spending too much on films after suffering multiple high-profile box office disappointments. At the same time, its limited-run approach worked out for Doug Liman’s The Instigators, which analysts cited by the Times said was the most-watched streaming movie... Continue reading…

Oldest Statement of Christian Faith (Jesus is God) Found In Israeli Prison

“Jesus is God.” An inscription declaring this to be a reality, the earliest and oldest written expression of the Christian faith, has been deemed 'the greatest discovery since the Dead Sea Scrolls' by at least one religious scholar. Dated to 1,800 years ago, the inscription was uncovered by an inmate at Megiddo prison in Israel, when he was digging beneath his cell floor (there is no word as to whether this was an escape attempt). What was discovered was writing in ancient Greek on a mosaic, with a phrase that translates to, “The god-loving Akeptous has offered the table to God Jesus Christ as a memorial.” Akeptous was likely an elite woman and important member of her community who played a key role in the church by donating a table for communion – a key tenet of Christian worship. Aside from Akeptous, the mosaic's inscription also advised the reader to 'remember Primilla and Cyriaca and Dorothea, and lastly, Chreste.' More than Battles of Armageddon: The Forgotten Story of Megiddo, An Archaeological Paradise “I Am the Lord God Dionysus”: Parallels Between Yahweh and Dionysus Clearly, women played an active role in the organization and spread of the faith in the early first millennium BC. Donny Osmond Shares Huge Influence His Father Had On Him: ‘I Never Wanted To Disappoint’

The Osmonds were one of the biggest musical empires of the ‘60s, alongside other family bands like the Jackson 5. They gained popularity for their clean-cut and wholesome image. Their lyrics were positive, and they lived a life free from drinking, smoking, or indecency. The Osmonds were also known for their versatility, as they performed various genres of music and appeared on multiple variety shows. In a recent documentary, Larger Than Life: Reign of the Boybands, Donny Osmond, one of the five siblings in the band, attributed their wholesomeness and positive values to their father, George Osmond, a former army sergeant who was a disciplinarian. Donny, who rose to fame as a teen idol, discussed the influence his father had on both their lives and music. Danny Osmond thanks his father for his career breakthrough The Osmond/Everett Donny explained that he held his father in high esteem and he “never wanted to disappoint him.” The 66-year-old took a trip down the memory lane at MTV Entertainment Studio, recalling his father’s unrivaled work ethic and how he instilled the same in them.  He also shared a memory of watching his brothers perfect their harmonies in front of a piano, repeating it until they got it right. However, the “puppy love” singer also acknowledged concerns about the downsides of his father’s disciplined and driven nature. Even after they “hit big,” his father would keep pushing them: “Learn a new number, keep this engine going.” Donny admitted, “It can go a little overboard. The singer appreciated his father for his sacrifices and wisdom in keeping nine children together in the show business.  The Osmond/Everett The Osmonds faced show business challenges Despite their father’s discipline and high standards, they were not completely shielded from the challenges of show business. The family faced severe financial struggles due to a series of bad business decisions, which nearly led them to bankruptcy. However, George refused to let his sons declare bankruptcy, as it would have gone against their religious ethics.  The Osmond/Everett Instead, the brothers had to return to show business and were able to pay their debts and bounce back on their feet. Through it all, Donny Osmond remains grateful for the lessons his father taught him and his siblings. However, he revealed that he’s raising his children “quite differently.” Next up: Danica McKellar Opens Up About Struggling With Self-Identity After ‘The Wonder Years’ The post Donny Osmond Shares Huge Influence His Father Had On Him: ‘I Never Wanted To Disappoint’ appeared first on DoYouRemember? - The Home of Nostalgia.
