Seven siblings came home for a fun sleepover with their parents. And everyone had a wonderful time together! Growing up, your siblings were probably always around, but you might not see one another as often as adults. And even if you do, you are rarely under the same roof, especially with a large family. Teresa, 57; Chad, 55; Chris, 52; Bobbi, 49; Danny, 45; Cody, 42; and Hiedi, 40, arrived at their parent’s home with sleeping bags and Chinese food. Christine Andrew, Cody’s wife, came up with the idea after noticing that her in-laws, Luedeen and John, were having a hard time with goodbyes. “There was one time where Cody's mom grabbed my arm and was like, ‘I would do anything to have them all here with me again," Christine said. This was when she came up with the sleepover idea. Although all the siblings also live in Utah in their own homes, there is something special about coming all together for one whole night. All Together in One Place No spouses or grandchildren were invited. The night was just for Luedeen, 80, and John, 81, and their seven children. Sadly, they had lost a daughter, Jodi, when she was just 16 months old. Cody, a content creator, shared the footage on his Instagram account, and it’s super sweet. The video went viral and now has almost 2 million likes. They had a new found energy through out the night staying up until 11.30pm.” The Family Had So Much Fun The video shows that they all had a great time at the sleepover with their parents. “Pure Imagination” from the movie Wonka plays in the background as John and Luedeen light up with all their children under the same roof. In the video, we can see the kids doing their mom’s hair and then chilling in bed with her, laughing and having the best of times. The last scene is the living room with all the bedding set up for the sleepover. "Cody tells me stories about how he and his brothers and sisters would sit on their mom's bed and have popcorn and orange juice every night," Christine said. "They wanted to recreate those moments of having a full house again." Luedeen and John tended to go to bed early but made it to 11:30 pm the night of the sleepover. “We were so close to getting Mom to toilet paper a neighbor's house,” Cody recalled. Last week, scores of passengers were forced to flee a burning Boeing plane after it aborted take-off and veered off the runway in Senegal. Some of those books, board games, toys, and various other items will deteriorate if they are not well cared for. Here are our top pieces of advice for how to preserve them.Store Them in a Clean AreaThis is probably the best bit of advice we can give you concerning the preservation of your collectibles. You want to put them somewhere that is clean, and you need to clean the area regularly. If you want to store your old cassette tapes in the garage, that’s fine, but they need to be kept dust free so that they will work great when you are ready to listen to them again.You may want to opt for garage cleaning to get the place looking pristine. Get rid of the dust, dirt, pests, and spills before you store anything valuable or precious in the garage. You have to be careful about dust and dirt, as they can collect on the items you are preserving and make them wear down sooner.Keeping dust off your collectibles is important, because that means you'll have to clean them less often. The more frequently you clean your vintage collectibles, the quicker they will deteriorate.Keep the Temperature RegulatedIf you store your 80s trading cards, books, and toys that are still in the box in a place where the temperature fluctuates, the packaging or surface may break down. Changes in temperature can damage cardboard and paper products very easily. That is why it's not always advisable to store your collectibles in the garage.Diecast cars could hang out there, as can plastic toys, plastic licensed mugs, and other memorabilia, but you want to keep paper products out of the garage unless you can regulate the temperature there.Even storing delicate collectibles inside your home isn't always a surefire way to keep the temperature around them at a safe level. If your home is poorly insulated or if you allow your home to get very hot or very cold, your collectibles could be damaged.If your home goes through temperature fluctuations, you can either store your collectibles in a room where you can control the temperature or you can place them inside an airtight container where they won't be damaged by temperature fluctuations. In other words, throwing trading cards into a shoe box in the basement is not a great way to protect them. Storing them in a temperature controlled environment or inside an airtight plastic box is a good option.Handle with CareThere are some collectibles you have to be really careful with when you're handling them. You may want to show them off or look through them for nostalgia’s sake, but when handling delicate older items, you may want to wear gloves.What you have to be careful of is that the oils from your hands can get onto your prized collectibles and cause damage that makes them deteriorate over time. You may not notice the damage right away, but dirt and oils from your hands can cling to cardboard packaging and other materials and wear down the items.If you're not sure if an item is safe to handle without gloves on, then wear gloves as a precaution. You can use any kind of disposable gloves, so long as they are clean and are tossed away after each use. This will greatly decrease the amount of harmful substances that come into contact with your collectibles.Use Light SparinglyYou may notice that some of your 80s merchandise is not as vibrant and bright as it used to be. It may have started to fade, and the paint might not be as colorful as it was in the past. That's not something that has to happen to most of your items. This is usually the result of light damage.If certain kinds of collectibles are exposed to bright sunlight for extensive periods of time or are placed under a bright artificial light frequently, then their color can start to fade. This typically happens with plastic toys, plastic bottles, and anything made from paper cardboard. So, toy packaging, trading cards, and comic books from the 80s are especially susceptible to this kind of damage.Our advice is to store these in a cool dark place where they will not be exposed to much light. You don't have to be too concerned about bringing your collectibles out in the light to look at them every so often. You simply don't want to leave them exposed to bright light for more than a couple hours at a time. If you can be very sparing with how much light they are exposed to, then your collectibles can retain their vibrant colors for many years to come.Set Up Display CasesThere are a lot of great 80s collectibles that would be best preserved inside some kind of glass, transparent display case. This is going to take a little investment from you, but it will be well worth it. Putting them into a display case removes a lot of the risk that comes from handling items and taking them in and out of their storage areas.Set the item in a display case in such a way where you can see most of the item’s sides. That will mean you won't need to pick up the collectible to look at it from every angle. Keep the display case clean and temperature controlled and make sure that it is secured so that no pests can get inside.Keep in mind the other bits of advice we've already given you and ensure that the items inside the display case are not exposed to direct sunlight or bright lights for extended periods of time. If you can do all of this, your 80s collectibles should last for generations to come.

The Biden administration on Wednesday refused to reveal the nationalities of individuals on the terrorist watchlist who were arrested crossing the border — on the same day it was revealed that an illegal immigrant on the list was arrested for attempting to infiltrate the Quantico Marine Corps base in Virginia. The Department of Homeland Security denied a Freedom Of Information Act request for the data from Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, writing, “The privacy interests of the individuals in the records you have requested outweigh any minimal public interest in disclosure of the information. Any private interest you may have in that information does not factor into the aforementioned balancing test.” Melugin said on X that DHS was citing exemptions “that have nothing to do with my FOIA request,” saying that he “did not ask for any names, IDs, addresses, anything that would breach privacy, nor did I ask for any law enforcement sensitive information.” “I simply requested *only* the nationalities of people arrested on the list, so the public can have an understanding of where in the world they are coming from.” On the same day that DHS denied the request, a local news outlet discovered that the administration had concealed that on May 3, two men drove a truck up to the Quantico base, gave a false reason for being there, and drove into the base despite being told not to. Quantico did not confirm this information,” reported Potomac Local, which broke the story. Base spokesman Capt. Michael Curtis acknowledged the incident to the outlet, saying they “ignor[ed] the direct instructions of the officers” and “attempted to access” the base and that they were turned over to ICE, implying that both were illegal immigrants. But Curtis and ICE both refused to address the man’s status on the terrorist watch list. Melugin this week obtained other immigration data through a FOIA request that showed that in fiscal 2023, DHS recorded 670,000 illegal immigrant “gotaways,” nearly double the figure of 2021. The total for 2021-23, 1.6 million, was more than the entire decade preceding it. A Daily Wire analysis of immigration data showed last month that in contrast with prior presidents from both parties, Joe Biden has largely ceased prosecuting illegal immigration as a crime, instead opting for civil deportation proceedings. Even those who repeatedly re-enter the country after being deported are unlikely to face the prospect of jail time.
