Illegal immigration activists are already panicked that Donald Trump will keep one of his biggest campaign promises. Trump recently announced that Tom Homan will be his “border czar.” Homan isn’t a household name, but he’s had a long career in government. Homan was the acting head of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement during Trump’s first term. He was also ICE’s executive associate director of enforcement and removal operations under President Barack Obama. Trump wants him to put those skills to use. “Tom Homan will be in charge of all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin,” Trump wrote on Truth Social in announcing the appointment Nov. 10. This shouldn’t come as a surprise. During the campaign, Trump vowed to oversee “the largest deportation operation in the history of our country.” Many voters welcomed this. The millions of illegal aliens who entered the country since President Joe Biden took office overwhelmed even self-declared “sanctuary” cities. In several high-profile cases, like the killing of Laken Riley in Athens, Georgia, officials believe illegal immigrants murdered Americans. A Venezuelan gang even took over an apartment complex in Aurora, Colorado. But the Left’s fearmongering over Trump’s deportation plans has already begun. The Left’s first objection is that it’s logistically impossible. It would be very difficult to identify and move 15 million illegal immigrants out of the country. But it’s also hard to solve every murder case. That doesn’t keep police from solving the ones they can. In an August interview, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, now vice president-elect, endorsed this step-by-step approach. “Let’s start with 1 million” and “then we can go from there,” he said. The next objection is that it will cost too much. There is an element of truth here. Enforcing laws is costly. But as blue cities learned the hard way, the “defund the police” alternative is far worse. This concern ignores how expensive it is for state and local governments to provide services to illegal immigrants. In 2023, New York City officials estimated that illegal immigrants cost the city $4 billion annually. For context, in 2023, NYPD’s annual budget was $5.8 billion. Also, you should never take Democrats seriously when they object to spending government money. Just look at the trillions they doled out during Biden’s first term. Another concern is that deporting illegals will hurt the economy. The theory is that deporting millions of illegal immigrants would shrink the supply of low-skilled workers. That would force companies to pay higher wages, which would raise prices. It probably would for some products, but look at the why again. Illegal immigrants have artificially boosted the supply of people competing for entry-level jobs and working in manual labor industries like construction. That’s lowered wages for low-skill workers. Boosting those wages would be a good thing, even if it raises prices for those higher up the income ladder. Plus, removing millions of illegal immigrants would lower housing prices. Finally, there will be claims that it’s cruel. The propaganda press is eager to blame deportations for causing a “family separation” crisis. But deportations don’t need to include that. Illegal immigrant parents should be allowed and encouraged to take their children with them when they leave. Also, the government routinely separates U.S. citizens who commit crimes from their children. The responsibility in both cases lies with the parents who broke the law. There’s also a practical benefit to Trump talking up deportations and reinstituting things like his “Remain in Mexico” policy for asylum-seekers. It will decrease the amount of illegal immigration. If would-be illegal immigrants know they won’t be able to enter and stay in the country, fewer will even try to cross the border. Regardless of how deportations go, that would be a major victory. Bucks County Commissioner: People Misinterpreted My Remarks

Is tech giant Google once again pulling strings in a secretive post-election effort to sabotage the incoming Trump administration? The Washington Free Beacon announced on Nov. 18 that it had obtained an invite issued for a summit in Washington, D.C. hosted by leftist, Soros-funded superPAC Priorities USA. The stated purpose of the summit is reportedly to “resist” the GOP agenda, and Google is co-hosting an event as part of the summit. It seems Google is still trying to manipulate political outcomes, even after Election Day. Following Trump’s surprise electoral victory in the 2016 election, during a Google all-hands meeting, search giant co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, VPs Kent Walker and Eileen Naughton, CFO Ruth Porat and even CEO Sundar Pichai were videoed lamenting that then-Democratic Party candidate Hillary Clinton had lost. Then, in 2019, Google Responsible Innovation Head Jen Gennai went so far as to admit to an undercover Project Veritas journalist that the company was working to “prevent” the next “Trump situation” from happening in 2020. MRC researchers later exposed Google for its egregious election meddling during the 2024 election season. And now, it appears, Google is at it again. The Priorities USA invite, according to The Free Beacon, read, “Recognizing that there is still a lot of data to be collected and analysis to be done, we hope that you will join our 2024 Digital Retrospective during which we will discuss what was done online this cycle and how we can prepare to resist the Republican agenda.” Priorities USA added in the email invite, “This is just an initial conversation, we will be in touch in the coming weeks and months with information to join additional deeper dive conversations, briefings, and planning meetings.” But most significantly for free speech advocates, Priorities USA also stated in the invite, “For those in DC, we hope that you will also join us for a social hour co-hosted by our friends at Google.”  The Free Beacon highlighted Trump’s record of criticizing Google and Big Tech censorship, and reported that a Google spokesman confirmed Google‘s eagerness to host the happy hour, but denied that Google was responsible for formulating the summit’s priorities. “We did not participate in creating the content of the meeting,” the Google spokesman alleged. “As they do for large ad buyers on both sides of the aisle, our political sales team will host some drinks after it.”  But the response seems dubious in light of Google’s track record of pushing for the most radical Democrat candidates over moderate Democrats and also Republicans. MRC has compiled at least 41 times Google has interfered in elections since 2008. Among the interference exposed by MRC is then-Google CEO Eric Schmidt endorsing Democrat Barack Obama just before 2008 Election Day and hiding “crooked hillary” (Clinton) from search suggestions in 2016. Furthermore, ahead of the 2024 election, MRC Free Speech America repeatedly exposedGoogle’s search engine manipulation. The platform routinely buried the campaign websites of Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., among other presidential rivals of Democrats Joe Biden and later Kamala Harris. Google also repeatedly buried right-leaning outlets’ articles about the presidential election under pages of left-leaning content. Even on Election Day, Google buried right-leaning outlet articles when MRC researchers searched the innocuous terms “donald trump presidential race 2024” and “kamala harris presidential race 2024,” results that had likewise occurredconsistently throughout October. In August, MRC’s searches on Google for information on rallies for the vice presidential picks, JD Vance (R) and Tim Walz (D), brought up results about Harris as well, even ahead of information about Vance.  Conservatives are under attack. Contact Google here and demand that it be held to account to mirror the First Amendment while providing transparency, clarity on so-called hate speech and equal footing for conservatives. Facebook disabled an Israeli national news outlet without a clear reason.  Arutz Sheva reported on Nov. 10 that Facebook had suspended its page with 151,999 followers due to alleged complaints from other users. When the article was published, the outlet wrote, “While the Facebook page is still accessible, Arutz Sheva is unable to upload posts.” However, when MRC Free Speech America attempted to find the page the next day, the page had been completely disabled and was inaccessible to users.  Arutz Sheva noted that it had received several complaints that “may have stemmed from anti-Israel and antisemitic reporting campaigns against Israeli and Jewish pages.”  It is unclear whether a complaint against a specific post led to the suspension and disabling of the account. However, the outlet said it had received complaints related to seven reports it had posted about, including content related to “the elimination of senior Hezbollah official Nabil Qaouk on September 28th, an official IDF announcement about the commencement of the operation in Lebanon, [and] the elimination of the terrorist who murdered a father in front of his children on October 7th,” among others.    Arutz Sheva explained that it received the complaints “together with a message from Facebook reading: ‘It looks like you shared or sent something that attacks a person, or group of people, based on who they are.’" It is unclear how reports of the news in Israel would have violated Facebook’s Community Guidelines. MRC researchers reached out to Facebook, but the platform did not respond to a request for comment at the time of publication.  This is not the first time Facebook has censored pro-Israel content.  MRC Free Speech America recorded in its exclusive CensorTrack database that, last year, Meta-owned Instagram censored actor Nate Buzolic for his posts supporting Israel shortly after Hamas’s Oct. 7 attack on civilians in Israel. Buzolic told Fox News that Instagram had shut down his account three times and suggested that he too may have been a victim of a mass reporting complaint campaign. “I think what this really presents is a clear and coordinated effort of groups to shut down content and accounts like myself who have been exposing the atrocities of what Hamas has done,” he said.  Buzolic later added, “I think the American people need to sit back and realize that this is not grandmas in Texas who are reporting my accounts, but these are groups of people who know that the battle that's being fought on the ground in Israel is also an information war.”  In 2021 Facebook also censored Rabbi Akiva Pollack. He wrote in a post: "I previously posted about the 17,000 trending hashtags Hitler was right. Can we challenge that to #HitlerWasWrong Oh, and make it 18,000." Facebook deleted his post and locked his account for 24 hours. Although he disagreed with the decision, and Facebook reviewed the post, the company claimed in a subsequent message that it "confirmed" the post "didn't follow our Community Standards." Conservatives are under attack. A video of an alleged drunk driver leading cops on a chase through a busy parking lot in Texas has gone viral. Video shows the woman holding a drink as she evades police and crashes into other cars. In the end, the woman is smiling and making jokes as she's arrested. Around 2 p.m. Thursday, Audrey Marie Schneider recklessly drove around the parking lot of a shopping center in San Antonio. The nearly five-minute video shows the 37-year-old leading police on a chase while driving her white Toyota SUV. 'Oh no. I’m about to see something traumatic happen in front of me.'According to authorities, the police chase began in Comal County, continued on a highway, and concluded in the shopping plaza in Bexar County. WOAI-TV reported that a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper attempted to pull Schneider over on Interstate 35 in Comal County. However, Schneider allegedly sped away from the trooper. During the pursuit by multiple police cruisers, Schneider made several laps around a shopping center parking lot, which put pedestrians at risk. The viral video captured by freelance photographer Alec Dyer shows Schneider driving erratically in the parking lot and crashing into other vehicles, including police cruisers. Dyer told KSAT, "It felt really surreal. I couldn’t even believe it.""Just witnessing that, I was, like, mentally preparing, ‘Oh no. I’m about to see something traumatic happen in front of me,‘“ Dyer added. “The whole time I’m thinking, ‘Oh no! At this rate, she’s gonna kill somebody. She’s gonna hurt somebody.‘”Video shows Schneider holding up a drink during the police chase in the parking lot. Eventually, police corner Schneider's SUV. However, Schneider is seen attempting to evade police by fleeing into a business in the plaza. Soon police are seen escorting Schneider out of a store in handcuffs. Schneider's clothes appear to be drenched in liquid, and she has dark marks on both sides of her face.No injuries were reported.A smiling Schneider says, "I'm so sorry." A bystander is on video asking police: "Hey, she threw a can of beer on me, can I press charges?"Schneider is seen on video responding, "Yes, please do. I double-dog dare you." Schneider is heard telling the onlookers: "I'm back, bitches." While being pinned to the hood of a police cruiser, she also said, "Santa is coming." The San Antonio Express-News reported that emergency medical services checked Schneider before she was taken to Bexar County Jail.In her mugshot, Schneider flashes a smile. Schneider was charged with driving while intoxicated with an open alcohol container, assaulting a peace officer, evading arrest in a vehicle, as well as two counts of aggravated assault against a public servant.According to KSAT, this wasn't Schneider’s first incident involving driving and alcohol.In 2017, Schneider faced a charge of obstruction of a highway while intoxicated, the station reported. Jen Psaki scolded Democrats who were shrinking away from pushing the transgender agenda after their party's astounding losses in the election and said one trans issue wasn't even "worthy of a debate."The former White House press secretary made the comments in a monologue on her MSNBC show. 'If that were actually an issue with thousands of schools across the country, it would be worthy of a debate.' "There's obviously a lot of soul-searching going on right now in the Democratic Party, and that's a good thing. But what I worry about is that in the course of all that soul-searching, some Democrats might reach the wrong sweeping conclusions," said Psaki. "And there are a lot of issues that fall into that bucket, but one in particular that stuck out to me is transgender rights." She went on to make a case that Republicans misled voters to believe that the transgender movement has affected far more Americans than it has in reality. She used the example of Vice President Kamala Harris supporting taxpayer-funded transition surgery for prisoners and detainees that was used as a cudgel by Republicans in ads. "If that sounds like a particularly obscure issue, it is, because it applies to a tiny group of people," Psaki said. She then criticized fellow Democrat Rep. Seth Moulton of Massachusetts, who openly defied the transgender agenda and said it was fair for parents to worry about opening up girls' bathrooms to biological males. "Look, reflection is good," Psaki continued, "but if that were actually an issue with thousands of schools across the country, it would be worthy of a debate. But there are just incredibly few samples of transgender girls playing in youth sports." She added that people's concerns about transgender threats are "misguided" and "misinformed." Moulton has said that the backlash he received proved his point that the transgender issue cannot even be debated among Democrats. Newly released police bodycam video shows the moment a Michigan suspect tried to flee a police officer on a riding lawnmower. However, the suspect ended up getting tased and shooting himself in the hand. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office said an officer was dispatched to a property in Leoni Township. 'This was an unfortunate and certainly dangerous situation. Mr. Kerr was not well that day.'In the bodycam video the sheriff's office released, Deputy Robert Henderson went to arrest 41-year-old James Mitchell Kerr III on a felony warrant for violating probation and two misdemeanor warrants on Sept. 19, according to WWJ-TV. The bodycam video shows the officer approach Kerr — who is on a riding lawnmower.The video — seen hundreds of thousands of times online — shows Kerr seemingly disregarding Henderson's multiple orders to get off the riding lawnmower. The officer is seen running after Kerr, continuing to order him to "stop." Once the officer wields a taser, the suspect finally stops the lawnmower. Henderson warns: "You run, I'm gonna tase you, James." Kerr is seen exiting the lawnmower, but he then picks up what appears to be a handgun from under the lawnmower's seat, according to WJBK-TV.The officer tased the suspect, and he fell to the ground. The officer screams, "Drop the gun!" Video shows the suspect shooting himself in the hand.Kerr reportedly was treated at a hospital for the gunshot wound and then released.Kerr was charged Oct. 23 with assault with intent to murder, felony firearm, and resisting and obstructing police. He was released on bail. If convicted, Kerr faces up to life in prison for the assault charge, up to two years for the felony firearm charge, and up to two years for resisting an officer.Jackson County Sheriff Gary Schuette said, "This incident underscores how rapidly a seemingly routine encounter can escalate and the potential dangers deputies face daily. Thankfully, the deputy was unharmed, and the suspect did not sustain serious injuries."Kerr's attorney, Philip Curtis, told the Detroit News, "This was an unfortunate and certainly dangerous situation. Mr. Kerr was not well that day, and I think it is more likely that he intended to harm himself, which is what happened. The deputy should be commended for so effectively defusing the situation before anyone was seriously injured. My client and his family are grateful for that."The Jackson County Sheriff's Office conducted an internal investigation. Instead, some are forgoing Thanksgiving festivities altogether based on who their loved ones voted for — and celebrities like Sunny Hostin of “The View” are cheering them on. “I would never let politics be the reason I don’t show up to see my family because they won’t always be there,” Sara Haines said in a heated debate with Hostin on the liberal show. “I’m going to disagree,” Hostin replied. “I really do feel that this candidate, President-elect Trump, is just a different type of candidate. From the things he’s said and the things he’s done, and the things he will do, it’s more of a moral issue for me.” “I think it’s more of a moral issue for other people,” she continued. “So I think when people feel that someone voted not only against their families but against them, and against people that they love, I think it’s okay to take a beat.” Whoopi Goldberg then jumped in with her infinite wisdom to agree with Hostin, explaining that “somebody who tells me that my child is wrong because of how he or she feels, that tells me that they shouldn’t be allowed to be who they are with my permission, I have to question.” “I don’t want to put my kid in that position. I don’t want to put my gay child in a position where she has to sit with someone who doesn’t understand her and feels like it’s okay to just blurt all that out,” Goldberg added. About a week before Election Day on November 5, my wife and I participated in early voting. After filling out our ballots and placing them into the machine, I noticed the name on the side of the box belonged to a company that had sparked concerns during previous elections. I turned to the attendant and asked, “Did our ballots get processed properly?” She laughed and replied, “Yes, everything is good. But if you’re worried, you can always come back tomorrow and vote again.” I shook my head and said, “No, we can’t. We’re Republicans.” Remember that the deep state remains entrenched, so men and women of good will still need to keep up the fight through Inauguration Day. A week later, we learned that everything had indeed worked as it should. While New York State, where we voted, predictably turned blue, Donald J. Trump secured an impressive number of electoral votes and won the popular vote by a healthy margin. To borrow the title of an old gospel song: “Oh, Happy Day!” However ... Many of us on the right have friends and family members on the left who struggle to cope with Trump’s election victory. Some have chosen to shun us simply because our candidate delivered a resounding win on election night. They had fully expected a different outcome. After all the impeachments, slander, Justice Department weaponization, assassination attempts, and the $1 billion Democrats poured into campaigning against him, they were certain Trump’s defeat was inevitable, and his goose was properly cooked. The Democrats threw everything at him, yet nothing stuck. For many of us, Trump’s victory wasn’t about him being “Teflon Don” but rather a sign that God isn’t done with America. It seems the Almighty intends to use Trump to steer this nation back toward righteousness. Proverbs 14:34 comes to mind: “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.” This victory was a collective effort. Whether people fasted and prayed earnestly or engaged politically as awakened citizens, everyone played a role — from "the greatest to the least." Across the country, the battle raged. Key figures like Tulsi Gabbard, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Elon Musk, and Vivek Ramaswamy hit the campaign trail to support the Trump-Vance ticket. Influential voices on X.com, such as Jack Posobiec and even the satirical account Catturd, added to the momentum. Together, they rocked the deeply entrenched deep state until the giant refrigerator toppled over with a mighty crash. Kamala Harris proved to be the worst candidate in at least half a century, projecting an even less favorable image than Michael Dukakis riding in a tank. Her candidacy floundered under its own weight, but Joe Biden’s influence didn’t help either. Biden, battling the effects of senility, repeatedly undermined the Harris-Walz campaign. He appeared to emerge from his fog at the worst moments, throwing shade on the ticket. The image of Biden in a MAGA hat, paired with his habit of rambling incoherently like an out-of-control Slip ’n Slide, further eroded the Democrats’ credibility on a near-daily basis. But the last-minute awakening of the church cannot be overstated. The Democrats’ allegiance was unmistakable throughout the campaign, and it became painfully clear during a Harris rally in La Crosse, Wisconsin, in mid-October. When two pro-lifers shouted, “Jesus is Lord!” and “Christ is King!” from the crowd, Kamala’s knee-jerk reaction was to dismiss them, saying, “You’re at the wrong rally!” One wonders what David French and the “Evangelicals for Harris” crowd would have to say about that. Scripture encourages Christians with the words, “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Perhaps, the Great Political Awakening has helped to allay a heavenly judgment on this country. One must also be reminded of the Prodigal Son, specifically, the verse that tells us “when he came to his senses.” It is as if the church writ large, Catholics and Protestants alike, came to its senses and congregants rose out of their pews and poured into the voting booths. The religious faithful could no longer be oblivious to the evil of a runaway government — the destruction of our society and culture had become all too palpable, something I point out clearly in my book “Obvious: Seeing the Evil That’s in Plain Sight and Doing Something About It.” So now something has been done about “the evil in plain sight,” but it is only the beginning. We must not return to a state of slumber. America’s “Happy Day” is still quite a number of years down the road. Remember that the deep state remains entrenched, so men and women of good will still need to keep up the fight-fight-fight right on through Inauguration Day. President Trump’s triumphant return to the White House is just the beginning of the long, hard road to uprooting a bloated bureaucratic regime and returning America to the glorious constitutional republic we were always meant to be.
