Jim Carrey recently lost his older sister, Rita Carrey, and the cause of her death remains undisclosed. Per her husband Alex’s post on Facebook, she died peacefully and quietly while being surrounded by friends and family. Their marriage was short-lived as they had their wedding just last year, after being together for the past 16 years. He noted that she was his best friend, lover, and travel partner as they loved seeing new places and meeting new folks together. You really did have the Time of your life.” He urged supporters to honor Rita’s legacy by attending the Christmas on the Terrace public event at the Gilian’s Place shelter for abuse victims in Ontario. He also encouraged them to financially support the initiative as it was one of Rita’s charities.
