In some ways, the Meta Quest 3S is the true successor to the Quest 2. While the latter made a big splash during the Covid pandemic, offering players a way to connect with their friends in a more immersive way, the Meta Quest 3 didn’t receive similar luck. Better internal hardware and a more comfortable headset, as well as the introduction of full mixed reality, meant a high price, and many weren’t eager to upgrade. However, the Meta Quest 3S should be much more tempting, bringing the chipset found in one of the best VR headsets and practically putting it into the Quest 2’s shell. While that does mean the Quest 3S shares plenty of familiar issues, it also means you can play some of the best VR games on the market, and that’s worth the asking price alone. A new single-board computer (SBC) is making a splash, as it packs an incredible amount of power under its tiny hood. Dubbed the Next-SBC, the x86-based machine is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS - a step up from the 7840U found in some PC handhelds released in 2023. The future of the mini gaming PC is looking strong. The upcoming hardware is shown off in a new pair of videos from YouTuber ETA Prime. In one he shows the AMD-based machine running Windows 11, and in another, it's shown running Bazzite, a Linux distribution meant to replicate the Steam Deck experience with Steam OS. Image: Nuro In the wake of pivoting its business strategy to include robotaxis and driver assist, Nuro is taking its fully autonomous vehicles to new geographic areas. The California-based company, which currently operates a small fleet of driverless vehicles in California and Texas, said it would grow its operational design domain and expand the deployment of its zero-occupant, Level 4 vehicles. In Mountain View and Palo Alto, Nuro says it will see an 83 percent increase in the deployment area, while Houston will see a 70 percent increase. Its vehicles will also take on new, more complex driving environments, such as multi-lane roads at speeds of up to 35mph, driving around emergency vehicles, buses, and construction sites, and driving at night....
