On Sunday, far-Left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) — who appeared to be crying in September 2021 when the House of Representatives passed funding for the Iron Dome defense system that keeps Israel safe — got slammed on social media after she attacked the pro-Israel American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), saying it pushed a “wildly unpopular agenda.” In 2019, Ocasio-Cortez made a series of inflammatory statements against Israel, saying she absolutely” agreed with a host that Israel was “very, very criminal” and “very, very unjust, ” as the host claimed there were “white supremacist Jews.” She later tried to justify violence from the Palestinian people against Israel, saying: “I believe that injustice is a threat to the safety of all people, because once you have a group that is marginalized and marginalized and marginalized — once someone doesn’t have access to clean water, they have no choice but to riot, right? ” In 2018, Ocasio-Cortez said she learned about Israel from the anti-Israel groups Jewish Voices for Peace and J Street as well as “Palestinian rights organizations.” Last May, Ocasio-Cortez posted a statement on X supporting the Biden administration’s decision to put a hold on some military aid headed for Israel. “The United States has an obligation to uphold its own laws and to respect human rights globally. A parental rights group requested a federal probe of a California school district after it hosted an event last year that explicitly excluded white faculty members, according to a letter first shared with The Daily Wire.  Parents Defending Education sent a letter on Monday requesting that the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission investigate the Acalanes Union High School District in Lafayette, California, for racial discrimination. The group said that the district was violating federal civil rights law by offering racially exclusionary programming for faculty members. The request comes after the district made headlines last year after a school employee held an event for staff that left out white people.  “PDE and its members oppose racial discrimination and political indoctrination in America’s schools. Acalanes Union High School District is offering additional programming for employees of color that are not offered to all employees in the district,” Parents Defending Education wrote in a letter to the director and regional attorney of the Oakland field office for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.  The complaint stems from an incident last year when district’s director of student equity and inclusion Lynnā McPhatter-Harris hosted an event for all non-white employees in the district. In an email, she sent out an invitation for an event saying for an event for non-white district employees.  “We are looking forward to seeing our people of color in the district. Please invite any employee of color to this event,” she wrote.  “Be reminded that we have avoided inviting people that are not of color as there remains feelings of uneasiness and mistrust and we need this to be a safe space for our people of color,” the email said. “Please reach out to me if you have any questions of concerns.” MATT WALSH’S ‘AM I RACIST?’ NOW STREAMING ON DAILYWIRE+ Parents Defending Education said that the district was guilty of employment discrimination under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act over the programming. The district did not respond to a Daily Wire request for comment on whether there had been any more similar events.  “Acalanes Union High School likewise cannot exclude employees based on their race. We ask that your office promptly investigate the allegations in this complaint, act swiftly to remedy unlawful policies and practices, and order appropriate relief,” the group wrote.  PDE also drew attention in its letter to language from a contractual agreement between the Acalanes Education Association and Acalanes Union High School District that includes language about teachers promoting equity in the classroom. The group has focused on highlighting how diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs have been adopted across the country. 

President-elect Donald Trump indicated Monday that his incoming administration was preparing to declare a national emergency to mobilize military assets to crack down on illegal immigration and secure the border.  Trump responded “TRUE!!” to a Truth Social Post from Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton saying that the second Trump administration was “prepared to declare a national emergency and will use military assets to reverse the Biden invasion through a mass deportation program.” The emergency declaration on the border would follow one Trump made during his first administration, which he announced on February 15, 2019, as he fought with Democrats in Congress over border security.  “We’re going to confront the national security crisis on our southern border, and we’re going to do it one way or the other,” he said at the time. “We have an invasion of drugs and criminals coming into our country.” Trump later vetoed a resolution from Democrats in Congress opposing the declaration, which allowed him to fund border wall construction. His administration was sued by Democrat state attorneys general and leftist groups who claimed that the declaration was unconstitutional.  President Joe Biden revoked the emergency declaration on his first day in office as he reversed many of Trump’s immigration policies. “I have determined that the declaration of a national emergency at our southern border was unwarranted. Polling showed that Biden’s handling of immigration was unpopular, while Trump’s positions were broadly supported.  Trump has already tapped immigration hawks like Tom Homan and Stephen Miller for key positions in his administration. Homan, who was picked to be Trump’s border czar, has already promised to carry out Trump’s deportation plans and endorsed extending construction of a border wall.   Throughout his 2024 campaign, Trump promised to enact the largest deportation program in American history. “Really, we have no choice,” he told NBC earlier this year. “When people have killed and murdered, when drug lords have destroyed countries, and now they’re going to go back to those countries because they’re not staying here. There is no price tag.”

Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul announced a plan that she claimed would save New Yorkers 40% on tolls paid for driving into Midtown Manhattan — but left out the fact that her proposal was also a 100% increase from the current toll rate: $0. Hochul explained during a press conference that the new plan — which would charge drivers $9 to enter Manhattan’s central business district via roadways — represented a 40% decrease in tolls from the $15 that was initially scheduled to take effect.
